Why can't you get an appointment within a week for your car. I called for my Inspection and was "able" to get an appointment 6 WEEKS later!?!? Also why can't they give you a loaner that is a land rover and not set you up with Enterprise car rental?????? I dropped off my Range Rover and left with a Yukon ( school bus!!!!!) I usually do not write reviews unless I feel like they are necessary for either extraordinary/horrible service. While my Land Rover had severe & premature problems, the care from Katherine in the service department made almost all my problems feel much less problematic and stressful than in actuality. She not only gave me a loaner when I absolutely needed one, but she also gave me frequent updates about my cars progress, and called my parents when I asked her too (because the car was in their names). She was very responsive in answering all my calls/texts. She always had an optimistic attitude when I came into the dealership. And, she always had a smile on her face. She is the epitome of what an employee in services should strive to be. I can not thank her enough for her effort in making a terrible situation much, much smoother. read more

I was told me car would be done Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest as I was supposed to start work and move into my rental home on Thursday. Received no word until Wednesday night that it wouldn't be ready until Thursday by 11 am. Car wasn't ready until 3pm. After being told by my respective service rep that there was an hour left until it was ready I show up after the hour to pick it up and she had taken her lunch break without finishing the paper work after I expressed the urgency. I then had to spend more time waiting for her to finish up her break to do the work I was expecting to be finished when I was told when the car was ready. I called a week ago as my auto has a leaking windshield and it went from a drip to a downpour and I have some kind of noise coming from the back. I called the service department and they said that they had an opening in April. I called in January. She said let me put a note in for the service rep who usually deals with my auto when I come in for service. I told her how appreciative I was and that I had an out of town trip scheduled for the week after, I have waited about two weeks and nothing. The dealership has great cars and has always had bad service. COVID is not the reason. I had a BMW back years ago and I drove to Hickory for service due to it being an all day thing if you could get in for service. After one year of owning a Range Rover I have had to visit the service center only twice, however, I cannot express the great service I have received each time. My first visit was for my Year Service, where I received a courtsey verhicle, was contacted on some additional items they identified and then contacted when my car was ready. I arrived and they had my car ready and washed and walked me through everything they had done. This past week I had to go back to my "Break Pad" light coming on and off over the last two weeks. New Brake Pads, no way..I haven't put that many miles on my car. Needless to say it was not the brakes, but rather the battery that was not connecting properly. Thank goodness. Again, the service was top notch. Now, let me tell you there are only two service representatives, Gary and Gary, but that has never seemed to be an issue. They are both great and both on top of all their customers. I also was happy to see they had a Yelp "Check-In" plaque in the waiting room. I was traveling north from Florida to Ohio when a warning light came on indicating I was low on coolant, mind you this is a 2019 LR Discovery with less than 15,000 miles. I attributed it to sitting in traffic in 90+ degree heat but never less contacted Hendrick Landrover at 5:26 PM on a Wednesday, The woman indicated that service was open until 6pm and to come in, luckily I was only 10 minutes away. I immediately headed over their and pulled into service @5:40pm where Preston C immediately greeted me, I explained the situation and he immediately checked me in and serviced my vehicle and added additional coolant. He even brought it over to another technician just to be extra sure as I was still continuing on my journey to Ohio. I big thank you to Preston and also to Hendrick Landrover. read more

I set up an appointment 2 months prior to my appointment date. I showed up to the dealership at the time of my appointment to be told "I just want to be honest with you and set the expectation of what to expect. We are really slow in the shop and don't know when we'll be able to get to your vehicle. It could be weeks, or more than a month." When asking about a loaner, I was told they don't have any loaners anymore. They said they did rentals for a little while, but don't offer that anymore. So basically after waiting 2 months for an appointment, I was told they have no idea how long they'll keep the vehicle and have no alternative solution. Looks like I'll be driving hours away to another location to repair the air compressor that went out. I agree with other reviewers, this location should just be closed. read more

I have been into the branch multiple times, once to buy a car and was completely turned off by the arrogance of the sales people and the pressure applied to me to make an offer for an inferior vehicle. Luckily I purchased from another dealer. I have returned to the branch for service, and the price is a overstated and the service team weren't exactly as friendly as could be. Our other cars are non Land Rover made and are serviced at their dealerships, I am basing my review upon this. Now I understand why people take their vehicles To independent mechanics after their warranty runs out. This dealership has horrible customer service after the sale. They won't even offer a good faith repair for an issue that occurred within two weeks of owning a vehicle. Buyers beware of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership with no warranty! The vehicle that I purchased developed a coolant leak from a hose that wasn't attached properly. They were not interested in helping fix that issue. Never return my phone calls for help. read more

Great experience from start to finish with Landrover Charlotte. I was looked after by Frank and would recommend him to anyone looking for a car but not looking to feel pressured. Frank really took his time with me and was in no rush to get my sale, because of that of course he did :). I knew the exact car I wanted and exact specs. Frank found it in Florida for me then had me driving away in it in 4 days. He FaceTimed me when the car arrived to show it to me straight away which was really thoughtful. I live 3 1/2 hours away this make the second time I've been back for the same thing 1) I went for service and to update display panel at Land Rovers request the form says 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour to do so I sat there 4 hours only to be told that it takes approx 6 hours to update. So I was understanding and made appointment for a later date and to get a loaner since it was going to be that long. During scheduling I mentioned that my silver R in Rover had turn black so they said they would order and put during the appointment. So I drive over 3 hours AGAIN miss work AGAIN!!! Only to be told they don't have a loaner so after I express my dislike to the manager, which they preceded to get me a rental from Enterprise. Then while I'm waiting he informs me that my letter isn't there and it will have to be ordered!!!!! Really then why did I make appointment , shouldn't everything be available????? Since I did have a APPOINTMENT!! So I get really upset and tell him what I think ....that their service department is pathetic !! Then he says I can keep a Enterprise rental till it comes in......well I can't miss work AGAIN and little did they know my husband has cancer and has to have surgery next week. I shouldn't have to juggle all this around when they can't do their own job correctly!! But guess who gets punished over this ME! now my vehicle still isn't fixed all because of their incompetence!!! I asked sales guy why , he said he doesn't need to sell to me , and instead tells me he sells hundreds of cars a month ... what a joke ! Very rude very unprofessional. Horrible service experience. Called to schedule an appointment to have a cracked windshield on my LR replaced, and was informed the service department needed to order the windshield. Scheduled the service four weeks from the time I called, and was assured that was ample time to obtain the replacement windshield. A few days before the schedule service, I received multiple notifications confirming the upcoming repair. Arrived for my 7:30 am appointment and was told there was no windshield, that it had not been ordered. The Service Agent asked if perhaps I had ordered the part myself??? Really, ordered the part myself??? A truly mediocre experience. As Hendrick is the only LR dealer in Charlotte, I will think hard and long before I purchase another vehicle if they are my only service option. read more

Where do I start!! In November I tried to schedule for my Daughters vehicle to be looked at. She is a college student and over 5 hours away from home. I scheduled our appointment for December 26th at 09:30 the day after Christmas. She was home for Christmas break and when we scheduled they said it would be a perfect time. I drove her car in that morning from Shelby NC and I was 30 minutes early. I get informed from Chris Harmon that they can't look at my daughters vehicle. They said we are sorry the Service Manager only has 3 service reps and they have over 50 appointments this week. So I get sent home with that as a explanation! I then get a call from quality control and when I tell them about my experience they said we will get to the bottom of this. Still no call back from this dealership or Land Rover 3 months later. I have two Land Rover products and I am not happy. read more

When i test drove the Range Rover evoque, there was no question....it was the car for me. Buying was fair and no run around haggling you get at most other dealerships. In sales, Herman was top notch in handling the sale. Purchasing the maintenance services in advance i found to be cost efficient as well. Over the past five years of having my car serviced at Landrover Charlotte I have consistently had great service, from Gary Buss. He has consistently exceeded my service expectations. Always shuffling piles of paper, multitasking yet still smiling, friendly while making sure things are done right. You feel and see how well employees work together here. Definitely team concept. On my last visit, i mentioned two small cosmetic items on my car a previous service said he would make right but never took care of. The previous service manager just never got back to me after multiple calls & conversations. NOT THIS TIME .....service manager Kelly Purser took the time personally to correct previous mistakes. I really would like to say nice things about the service at LR which is why I have been putting off this review but I just can't. I took my car in for squeaking in October. I was told I needed new breaks (I had just replaced the rear breaks in April and only have 35k miles on my car). They went ahead and replaced the front breaks and to my surprise, after the $1400 break job, the squeaking continued. I called and they had me come back so someone from service could listen. So when he heard it he said yeah ok, it must just need this anti-squeak treatment... so I had to come back another day to have that done. I picked up my car, and guess what?! IT STILL SQUEAKS! I called again, same thing, well it must be the back now, come back and we will do another treatment. I did that, and they said it would take 45 minutes so I could just wait for it. 2 hours in the waiting area with a now crying baby and bored toddler, they came out and assured me someone drove it and there is no more squeaking. BUT guess what?! I didn't get an inch out of the parking spot and SQUEAK! OMG I am so livid at this point, threw the car in park and stormed in there to notify them that it is in fact still squeaking. The answer this time... well they just washed it so the breaks might just be wet, drive it a little and it will stop. Here we are, February and still squeaking. The last conversation I had with them it seemed like they were trying to wash their hands of it "well... we've done all we can do at this point". I just don't know what to do anymore. Traveling back and fourth from Huntersville with a baby and a toddler, switching car seats, waisting time, gas, money and I am no further than where I started. My warranty just ended in January so I will be taking my car elsewhere. read more

My passenger taillight was developing condensation inside. I called to see if it was covered under my CPO warranty. They said it was covered but they would need to order the part. I scheduled the service appointment for later that week to allow time for the part to arrive. I arrived at the dealership at my appointment time and the service advisor explained that it was not covered under the warranty. The price quoted was astronomical so I kindly refused and left knowing I could do it myself for half the price. I understand the dealership doesn't decide what's covered under the warranty but I took the day off from work and drove an hour each way for nothing because of their mistake. For any service not covered under warranty, I take my vehicle to PerformanceRovers in Charlotte. Their customer service and prices are so much better than this dealer. read more
