This place is soooo ghetto. For starters, I walked to the counter to check in and just somehow everyone of fairer skin were being taken care of (even after walking in after me). My appointment was at 1545 and I didn't get the process started until 1615 because "your car is still in the back getting washed for you". Both front and back windshields were GROSS upon finally entering the vehicle. I've never owned or even been inside of a Tesla, for reference to this experience. After finally signing contracts, I was given 2 keycards, told my car is outside, and the car will prompt me to assign them. I walk outside, and can't even open the door because I expected someone to walk with me to inspect the vehicle. After asking, I was given insight on how to open the car. I check the car, no mobile charger (as should be included with new 2026 purchases). I walk inside and clearly "everyone" is busy so I state loudly that my car is missing a charger, and was advised they only come with 2026 models... cool because my 2026 is missing its charger. Finally a fellow African American female employee with the cutest glasses notified parts, as they were taking even longer to fulfill the request, she gave me a mobile charger so I could be on my way. Not to mention, one of the subwoofers have been blown and teslas been notified via app, with no response. I'm telling you, I'd never buy another Tesla from this backdoor Apple shipping dock again. I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Tesla dealership located at 2641 Sumner Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27616. I had my heart set on a Model Y Performance and was thrilled when I received notification that my car was ready for pickup on Saturday. I confirmed the pickup through the app and even went ahead and canceled my car insurance on Friday and returned my tag to the DMV in anticipation. However, when I arrived on Saturday, I was disappointed. After waiting for over half an hour while the staff searched for my vehicle, I was informed that it was in the shop for repairs. Apparently, the hood sustained damage during transportation. I was taken aback and expressed my frustration; I felt it was unacceptable that I hadn't received a call the night before to notify me of this issue, rather than just a text on the same day of pickup. They suggested I wait for the car to be repaired, but I firmly refused to accept a vehicle that had required repairs before I even took ownership. We left the dealership without a car, feeling defeated and inconvenienced, having now lost one vehicle and the hassle of canceling the car insurance we had arranged with Tesla the day before. This is a nightmare! Upon returning home, I reached out online to modify my car order. During this process, I was unfortunately connected with a representative named Michael. When I tried to explain my situation, he accused me of being aggressive and even threatened to hang up on me! Frustrated, I made it clear that I no longer wanted the car that needed repainting. He agreed to place a new order for me, but to my disbelief, Michael ended up ordering the wrong model entirely. Incompetent! Fortunately, another representative called to apologize for Michael's unprofessional behavior and confirmed that my order had finally been corrected this time. It was clear that Michael at Tesla could benefit from additional customer service training, as his handling of the situation was far from satisfactory. This has been by far the worst customer service experience I've had at any dealership. From the start, the salesperson made me feel like I was inconveniencing him just by asking to test drive a vehicle. He provided zero information about the car and simply told me to use the app to place an order. I was required to pay $250 just to have financing reviewed--and the rate came back 9% higher than expected. When I asked about a refund, he laughed and said, "Good luck." Now, over a week later, I still haven't received any clear answer about the financing or interest rate. Communication has been almost nonexistent. I hate to even point this out, but the salesperson's hygiene was poor and he struggled to fit into the car, which made the test drive uncomfortable. Maybe the worst service center in the entire country. Wait times for over 2 months? Check Won't be able to fix your car? Check Poor communication? Check I was initially excited to purchase my first EV, but after the experience with Tesla and specifically this service center, I will never purchase another Tesla again. Since picking up my Model 3, there has been problems arising from the poor build quality ranging from extremely loud wind noise to a loud ringing noise coming from the car. I have tried taking my vehicle to this service center 5 times now to fix the issue, but every time they say they can't hear the issue or "it's within spec." Finally I had a technician agree that the wind noise was too loud, but when they tried to fix it, they mis-installed the part and made the wind noise worse. And guess what? To fix it, I have to wait another 2 months due to long wait times! In order to fix something, you have to go on a test drive with them that only last 5 minutes, and they expect you to recreate the issue. And when they go on the test drive, they refuse to acknowledge the noise that we hear. Most recently, Tesla told us that the noise was coming from our garage door opener and to "just enjoy the car". I'll attach a video of how loud our car is to prove that it's hard to enjoy a $50,000 car when you can't even hear yourself think with how loud the cabin is. I would be very careful dealing with them. I submitted a trade with them 3 days ago and they offered me 65k for my truck so I proceeded with the purchase and then my trade numbers changed to 53k once I confirmed my order and spend 250 to reserve vehicle. I asked why it changed and they could not give me a reason at all. They asked for proof that they offered it and asked me to email it to them to honor it and I did and they erased my trade from my Tesla profile and said they never had my trade to begin with. We have been Tesla owners since 2016. The service center used to be exactly like you would expect from a "high end" car service center. We now own 2 Teslas. I am only leaving 2 stars because we love the cars so much. If the review were based solely on the service center, I would leave 1 star. Service center is obviously overloaded. Lots of cars in this area. The thing that is so darn bad about service is that they expect you to use the App to "communicate" with your service advisor. When your car needs service (call me old fashioned) you sometimes need "face to face" contact with someone. Questions and answers could be so much quicker and efficient if you could just TALK to someone. Not sure if this is the business model for Tesla service everywhere but it's a bad idea. We owners are frustrated. My husband and had a recall part replaced in his Model S. The car thought it was in Palo Alto, CA all the way home to Cary. It was obvious that the tech did not reconnect the GPS system. Had to bring the car back the next day. This was BEYOND inconvenient !!!!! We love the cars. We travel a lot. Superchargers are awesome. So, I'm giving a 2 instead of a 1 bc I've been here many times over the last three years. I have had some really good encounters. But now that the car is out of warranty, it's like the evil twin came out (2013 model S). The car no longer charges at Superchargers, charges fine at home. Seems like a compatibility issue, but after a couple different trips there, they change the story and now say it just needs an $800 new port. They tell me they have not run into this issue, and seem like they are guessing. It's an older car, so I get things go bad; therefore, I would do it, but have no confidence this will work. I cannot speak to anyone live about my concerns. They only communicate through the app by message with very long delays. It's like trying to communicate with a bunch of teenagers (I have four already), very inefficient when things aren't cut and dried. The biggest issue I have is that they expect me to pay $800 for them to guess at a solution; they assured me that I'll pay that regardless of whether it fixes the issue. HUH?! I'm supposed to pay them to essentially train their techs and practice on my car? This was the quote of their service tech's response to me questioning that philosophy.. "If this is a significant investment to finance, you are welcome to consider trading in your vehicle for a new model." Wow, I think I was just called 'poor' by my adopted teen! 2 major problems with the Service Department here. COST and CUSTOMER SERVICE. COST: We scheduled a visit that was about 2 months out. We dropped off the vehicle and received and estimate of about 300 dollars to repair a windshield wiper motor/assembly. Later we received the final bill and it was over 700 dollars. This mark up was unexpected and an unfair price IMO. CUSTOMER SERVICE: In order to reject the repairs we had to respond via the app but it was not working for some reason. We decided to just handle it in person and go pick up the vehicle. Picking up my new Model S was a really unsatisfying experience. The staff was overwhelmed, and I was told to just walk around the lot until I found my car with the correct VIN. Eventually somebody did some paperwork for me and handed me the key cards. Didn't walk me around the car, ask if I had any questions, just desperately wanted to get me out of the way so he could help the next in line. I almost drove off without the license plate, but a gal came running out while I was driving away to put it on. Tesla continues to have major service issues. Starting from the beginning their service department has been less then organized. My original problem was the car stopped working. I got it towed to the Tesla dealer in Raleigh on Glenwood to fix it 3 attempts and fixing things that didn't need to be fixed, they finally found the problem. That's 3 times of me having to go there and them saying it's fixed. I finally got that fixed. They gave me back the car. How they gave me back. The car is the main problem with this dealership. They leave it in the parking lot jammed so it cannot even be backed out driven out and expect the customer to just leave from there. Before I left I happened to notice the front bumper was scratched. I went back into the service area and tried to show somebody, but there was nobody there except for a random mechanic so I had him take pictures of it. At that point I was expecting them to call me back and say we are going to fix your bumper, they did not. I had to call them several times to schedule getting the bumper. Replaced trying to get in touch with. Somebody was very very hard. Finally after five attempts, they agreed to replaced the bumper and set a date. That date was a month or two in the future., And finally came up. I took it back there to get the front upper replaced. They set the schedule for 6 PM at night. I waited two hours for them to replace it, and they came back to me and said the bumper was not good, and they needed me to come back and I could take my car. I went to go take my car back and it was parked not in a parking spot, but in a row of cars with very little way to get out so I got in the car and tried to take it out and backing out, I backed into another car messing up my bumper and the other car. Now I know I was driving the car but I should not have them and they should've offered that to take it to a place that I could've backed it out or even better yet just driven it out like at any of the car dealer if you get a repair at. They ended up getting my insurance and filing a claim against me, which is understandable, since I was driving the car but they should've never left the car for me to drive in that situation. I've called several times asking if they will help with this, and they said no, they said that is my responsibility since I was driving the car. I do agree that I was driving the car but I should not have been put in the position to drive the car out of that situation so I am saying that they are a terrible terrible service department, that is not taking responsibility for how they get cars in and out of their service. read more

My delivery experience was worse than the abysmal pre-delivery experience caused me to expect. I drove 2 1/2 hours for my delivery appointment on Monday. My new car was dirty and scratched. The sales manager tried to help. Tesla was supposed to fix the scratches and gave me a loaner car. He told us he would email his contact info and if the car was not ready by 10/10 (when we will be unavailabl)e) they will hold it until we are available on 10/14. The loaner wouldn't start, which delayed us an additional half hour while they reprogrammed the key, but we thought we were OK. Today is Thursday and still no email with sales manager contact info, and I received a service message with an estimated completion of 10/25. So much for my free premium connectivity and full self driving month. And I am paying to finance and insure this car, which I have never driven. Do not buy here!! read more

I visited the dealership in Raleigh NC on a Monday 7/18/2022 about 90 minutes before closing, maybe that's why the 2 people at the desk were so pretentious? I explained that I heard a lot about Tesla and wanted to see what it was all about. Right off the bat, the gentleman said that any Tesla was a year out. I asked about a test drive, the woman said they had none and I could probably rent one somewhere for about $90 a day. I asked about home chargers and cost and installation. The gentleman seemed upset that I knew nothing about Tesla or electric cars (Think Starbucks when you ask for a "Large Coffee") The woman suggested I put down a $250 deposit on a car and decide when it comes in next year. The gentleman turned to her and said "he's afraid". I commented that it is a lot of money for something I know nothing about. The woman then asked me if I had children. I replied, yes, one son. The Model 3, great car, Tesla's customer service is TERRIBLE! Good luck getting someone at this dealership to answer the phone. If you need service good luck! They are not equipped to make minor repairs. I had the bottom piece of my driver side mirror be taken off in a car wash. No big deal, it's a small snap on piece of plastic. Yeah right! Tesla told me my only option was to replace the whole mirror and it cost over $550. I had a blown speaker in the car the day I drove it off the lot. It took 6 weeks for them to even look at it and they didn't see visible damage so they didn't replace it. They also told me to make sure I keep 30 days of insurance on the car so they could transfer my plates. 60 days later my dmv is threatening to fine me because my plates are not transferred to the Tesla. I had to keep redialing the dealership until I apparently annoyed someone and they answered. They told me it was my fault for letting the insurance cancel after 30 days. They stated I should have left it on until they got around to transferring my plates. Now I'm waiting on a new license plate. They said it would be a week, 2 weeks ago! If you buy a Tesla be prepared to spend a lot of money for simple repairs and to receive terrible customer service. What good is a great car when it's backed by terrible service? read more

This was the most demeaning visit I have ever had to a car dealership. The salesperson was rude, impatient, hesitant to explain the different models. My wife and two children felt humiliated as she criticized even our ability to adjust the mirrors, start the car or even ask to drive the X model. The manager listened sympathetically but I told him I would drive to Charlotte rather than deal with this dealership. I am a gentle physician, have another electric vehicle and am concerned about the environment. The experience started off great with an Uber ride covered and car dropped off and checked in within minutes. However, they only communicate on the Tesla app, so pay attention to that. I dropped my car off to change out ONE tire and made it clear when I arrived that that's what I needed. They sent a message on the app rather than text or phone call to get approval for the ONE tire replacement which I had already told them to do. When they didn't hear from me within an hour and a half they processed my car without the tire replacement. So, now I have to drive home 3 hours on a bald tire.... hoping for a safe ride. read more

I wanted to post regarding the quality of service I received at the Raleigh Service Center on Thursday, February 10th. The service center rescheduled our appointment multiple times due to a delay in a part - which is fine. When I finally drove to Raleigh from Wilmington on Thursday for service, the autopilot was no longer working. I let the team know so that it could be addressed. Upon arrival to the service center at 10am, I was told Uber credits would be applied to my account. I have still not received those credits, and was not offered a loaner. The ETA for completion was 5pm. I was notified at around 5pm via message that the vehicle would need to be kept overnight. I had not packed a bag or made any arrangements for this as this was not the expectation that was set. I said that keeping it overnight was fine if I could receive a loaner so I could go home, or have a hotel room booked on my behalf. I didn't receive a text back until almost 5:30 letting me know I had until 6pm to pick up a loaner. With 5:00 traffic, I got the first Uber I could and made it back shortly after 6. Upon arrival, the technician told me if I waited 30 more minutes for a software update to finish up, I could drive the vehicle back that night so I wouldn't have to come back. I waited the 30 minutes, and the technician told me that the autopilot still wasn't working but that by the time I got home, the update would be complete. I obliged, and asked him if they were able to replace the part they had been waiting on. He replied, "what part?" so I'm still very confused about why the appointment was rescheduled multiple times for a part that we never received. The real reason I'm messaging though, was because it's now Saturday, February 12th and the autopilot still does not work. Additionally, nothing else is working now - the navigation system thinks I'm still in Raleigh, so I cant even estimate trips because the battery indicator is inaccurate. The garage opener doesn't work, and none of the safety features are working. I messaged the service center and they said I would need to come back to Raleigh. Like - seriously? We have two teslas and have never received such poor service. We used to take our vehicles to the Jacksonville center and was immediately offered a loaner every single time, and given frequent, accurate time estimates. Our car was always returned cleaned and fixed - not more broken than when we brought it in. I now have a Tesla that is barely operable. What can be done about this? I obviously don't want to spend the time or energy reporting this incident on every social media platform available to me. I just want my car to be fixed and to be reimbursed for my Ubers. read more

This is the most pathetic service I've ever received. Car was taken in on April 1st. Damage assessed and estimated repair April 15th. On the 15th I drive towards the center and message them to ensure it's ready, come to find out they didn't even have the part and it will take an additional 6-8 weeks before it's repaired. This is a vehicle I am paying for and I have to go 2 1/2 months without it because of the lack of inventory within the service center. On top of everything, they will not even provide me with a loaner. Lying to my face saying they don't have any and don't know when they will be returned. I need to be compensated for this.
