Purchased 2 cars in 3 months, one brand new and one used. The new car needed 2 to be placed as due bill , 2 scuffs that needed to be addresses. Our delivery representative (Hazel) took great care of us on how we can get it taken care of . She even followed up weeks later to see if we were satisfied with our purchase and service that was done. 6 weeks later we ended up seeing a car that was too good to pass on for our daughter, we ended up purchasing a used model 3 and since we had a great experience with Hazel we ended up requesting her to help us out for the delivery of the 2nd Tesla we purchased. The car was used so we were expecting some imperfections. Before delivery Hazel sent us pictures that are more detailed than the one on the website showing us the blemishes on the car to make sure we are still ok with it. We ended up tak8ng delivery and a day later found out that one of the tires was a different brand so we contacted Hazel and see what can be done about it. With out missing a beat she said she was going to help us navigate this issue. She spoke to her Manager, Scott and got got the different tire replaced and at the same time the other 3 tires were replaced because it didn't meet the Tesla standard. We have been pretty happy with Hazel, Scott and the whole Miramar team. , look for Hazel and Scott when you have to do anything with your Tesla or future Tesla and you wont be disappointed. read more

Christian showed exemplary customer service by providing me information on my vehicle and addressed my concerns when it came to finding factory errors on my new Model Y. He easily explained the servicing procedures if I needed anything fixed and I just want to thank him on here for being a great representative, and for just being so helpful. As for Hazel, just do better. You're rude, and your poor attitude almost completely soured my purchasing experience. When I asked you about how we should go about documenting any dings or scratches on the car, you told me to take a picture of it and submit it to servicing on the app. But what you didn't tell me that you guys need to document it on your side as well in order to save me any un-needed expenses in relation to any repairs that need to be done. I had an appointment at 7am. I showed up the day prior at close of business 5pm and they said there is no drop off at this time. I just drove 30 miles to get here, and now have to drive back home, then do it again tomorrow. I had a 7 hour job scheduled at $250 an hour! I'll just go elsewhere! Absolutely unacceptable service. I brought my vehicle in for what should have been a simple center-console USB hub repair. Instead, it took four attempts to finally get the vehicle properly repaired. After the first pickup, the sliding center console had been damaged, so I refused delivery. On the second pickup, they had fixed the console but somehow failed to reinstall the cup holders, so I again refused the vehicle. On the third attempt, the armrest had been damaged and no longer sat flush with the lower trim, causing it to bounce and rattle while driving. The vehicle had to go back yet again. Eventually, the entire center console had to be ordered and replaced. After waiting for the part, the vehicle was finally fixed on the fourth attempt--all because of a repair that should have been straightforward from the beginning. The biggest issue isn't that a mistake happened; it's the repeated lack of quality control. Every time I was told the vehicle was ready, I found additional damage or incomplete reassembly that should have been caught before handing the vehicle back to me. I should not have to perform the service center's final quality inspection myself. The vehicle is finally repaired, but after this experience, I will never return to this service center again. Tesla caused damage to my vehicle and then charged me $1,020 to repair it instead of taking responsibility My problem with the Tesla Service Center at 9250 Trade Place in San Diego is like a surgeon who negligently leaves a towel inside a patient's abdomen during surgery. When the patient develops complications, the surgeon demands payment to remove the towel and treat the resulting damage. My 2021 Tesla Model 3 had a battery replacement under warranty at 29,158 miles. Tesla also replaced the front suspension due to the heavier replacement battery. A few thousand miles later, I started to hear a front-end rattle. At 38,804 miles, Tesla Service in San Diego said the suspension bushing needed to be replaced. I approved the repair and was presented with a bill for $1,020. While reviewing the service summary before payment, I noticed the technician's notes, which stated: "Performed a front suspension torque check and found bolt to RH strut loose which was causing the knocking. Since the bolt was loose it caused the bushing to tear." This is a critical admission. The technician identified a loose right-hand strut bolt as the root cause of the issue. The torn bushing was not normal wear and tear--it was caused by the strut bolt being left loose by Tesla. I raised this with the Tesla service manager and requested the charge be waived. The request was denied. To retrieve my vehicle, I was required to pay the $1,020 invoice. I informed Tesla in writing that I intended to pursue legal action to recover this amount. I also requested escalation to the Regional Service Manager in hopes of resolving the matter amicably. Unfortunately, Tesla ultimately refused to refund the payment. What makes this even more concerning is the safety aspect. A loose suspension bolt is not a cosmetic issue--it is a serious safety concern. Had the front suspension failed while driving on the freeway, the consequences could have been catastrophic for my family and other motorists. I've been one of Tesla's biggest supporters for years. I'm on my second Tesla, have recommended these cars to friends and family, and genuinely believed in the company. That's why this experience with the San Diego Service Center has been so disappointing. My Model Y is just outside of warranty. Last night, the car prompted me to install a routine over-the-air software update. It seemed completely normal. When the update finished, the center screen was black and never came back on. The car was working before the update and unusable afterward. Tesla Service told me it was a hardware failure that I was responsible for paying for. I find that incredibly hard to accept given the timing. I asked what hardware actually failed and if they could show me the fault codes or explain what happened. They couldn't tell me what component failed or provide a clear explanation. Instead, I was presented with a repair bill for thousands of dollars to replace the computer. From my perspective, it feels like the software update left my vehicle with a dead computer, yet I'm the one expected to absorb the cost. To be fair, they did provide me with a loaner vehicle, and I appreciate that. But a loaner doesn't change the fact that I was left paying thousands of dollars after a Tesla-issued software update immediately preceded the failure. This is the first time I've ever felt let down by Tesla. What makes it worse is that I've noticed the service experience in San Diego has steadily declined over the years. As Tesla has grown, it feels like customer support has become less transparent and less willing to stand behind its products. I still love driving my Tesla, but this experience has seriously shaken my confidence. My experience with Tesla was completely soured by the behavior and incompetence of Ildiko Nagy, a sales representative at the Tesla Miramar location. My mother recently purchased a Tesla and was adamant about using my referral link, something we discussed extensively before she placed the order. She had my code and the link. She physically showed Ildiko the referral link on her phone, gave her the device, and triple-checked that it had been entered. Ildiko repeatedly reassured my mom that it was applied correctly, even when my mom questioned her and asked her to double-check. Unfortunately, we later confirmed the referral was never entered at all. Not sure how this happens? This wasn't just a simple mistake. It was a complete disregard for customer requests. Ildiko was dismissive, confidently incorrect, and made my mother feel like she was being overly difficult for asking a perfectly reasonable question. Now the referral program benefits have been lost, they can not add it after the fact and all because the rep didn't take an extra 30 seconds to verify or do it correctly. Tesla is a premium brand, and we expected professionalism and transparency -- especially at the point of sale. This experience was the opposite. If you value attention to detail or being heard as a customer, I'd strongly recommend working with someone else! read more

I took my Tesla to this service center to have a nail removed from one of the tires. The team handled the repair quickly, and I was happy with how fast the service was completed. However, when I picked up the car, I noticed that the tire they worked on was inflated to 47 PSI, even though Tesla recommends 42 PSI. At the time, I assumed that might be normal after a tire repair, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, the next day while driving, I got a tire pressure warning. I pulled over and saw that the same tire was going flat. Upon closer inspection, I found a tiny crack on the sidewall -- not a puncture or a nail -- but more like internal pressure had caused the side of the tire to split. Given the overinflation, I now believe that the excessive pressure may have caused or contributed to the sidewall damage. Now, my car is parked at home with a completely flat tire that I can't move. I've reached out to the service center to see how they plan to handle this situation. Since the damage is on the sidewall, the tire can't be repaired and will need to be replaced entirely. And because Tesla tires are often replaced in pairs for balance, I may also need to replace the tire on the opposite side -- turning a simple $40 nail removal into a $1,000 expense. read more

I brought my car in for an alert saying that my car may not restart. Something to do with high voltage warning. Phi told me it would be $520 just to diagnose. I checked the forums only to find out I was way overcharged. He was kind enough to cut it in half after my complaint. But why does it take me figuring out I'm being robbed to get it to the correct price. Then after 5 days I get my car back with tire pressure at 48 psi on all four tire. They are supposed to be at 42 psi. How do they not know this. Seems there is another review with the same problem. As luck would have it my father had the exact same alerts come up exactly one week later in his car which by the way is the same exact car as mine. 2020 Model S. He took it to the Kearny mesa location and had a not a normal one hour diagnostic fee of $260 not the bulls*^t $520 that was charged. He had the same exact service performed for $90 less. Now how can that be? Greedy as hell. Padding the repair order. Just sad that you can not trust them to do their job ethically. I am also suspicious of the alert that came up within one week for same issue even though my fathers car has 25k less miles on it. Are these real alerts or a convenient way to get more service business. Hard to tell. Both cars drive and performed ok with the alert on. And why the super high tire pressure? To cause tire damage so we will go back for tires. I also got a notice from the tire center for free 30 days of FSD if I get new tires. I won't be back to this location or to Tesla again. The supposed "Sr. Service managers" are only out to make as much money for the company as possible. Charged me labor and to replace a part that didn't even fix the issue of my car. No test drive done with me beforehand to hear the noise, no test drive done by the service techs. They only went off of what their A.I system was telling them the problem was. This place is absolutely ridiculous, and it's making me seriously question whether buying a Tesla was the right decision! We ordered and picked up our brand new car on December 27th and immediately noticed a few minor issues, so we scheduled a service appointment. We dropped the car off at this location on January 27th for repairs. After over a week, we finally received a message on February 5th that it was ready. When we arrived, the car was filthy--covered in dust, and the inside was dirty. To make matters worse, an employee had the nerve to suggest the interior mess was our fault, even though we had barely had the car for a month before bringing it in! Frustrated, we took the car home, only to discover even more problems. There were new scratches all over the doors, and the hood was painted a completely different color that didn't even match the car's light grey shade! So, we had to call them again, explain all the issues (again), and return the car (again) on February 7th. It is now February 18th, and we haven't heard a single update. When we check the status of the repairs, it shows that nothing has even been started. The lack of communication is beyond frustrating. We've owned Lexus, GMC, and Nissan vehicles, and we have never experienced service this awful. This takes the cake for the worst customer service EVER! read more

Best place to get issues with your Tesla car fixed and they are very well trained and skilled professionals. Tesla is one of a kind and this service center is too. I took my car couple of times one for getting some paint corrections which they were able to do it in less than. 5 minutes and once I had some rattle sounds coming from trunk the technician drove with me and he understood very quickly what the issue is and fixed it quickly. I told him that I moved away from BMW X3 to Model Y he understood what the expectations are and he for it fixed. My estimate was only $50 in the first place to replace some huge plastic trim piece inside the rear lift area that could not possibly be under warranty since it's obvious I ripped if off by being a dumb ass and dragging construction materials in and out for the bazillionth time. I already thought $50 was a deal but when I go to pay they say, no cost, and by the way they fixed a recall item while they were in there (one where I did not request to be fixed because the app says the part isn't even available yet). Hey Tesla! You forgot your tools! (And to reassemble my car!) I had a tire pressure fault that never cleared on its own, so I took it to this service center. Initially I was told the fix would be done in a few hours. They gave me a loaner that was obviously in a front end collision and was really dirty. I only had a couple miles to drive back to work so I let it slide. Later in the day, I was told it'd be done following day. Wish I'd known that earlier. I told them I didn't feel comfortable driving the loaner because it was so damaged, so they said to come back and they'll swap it out for me. Long story short, my car ended up being ready when I returned to the center at the end of the day! What a relief. They had left the car a mess but, whatever I get to drive it home. Fast forward a few weeks later. I pop my frunk (which I rarely use) and am shocked to see that the air intake shroud, the frunk trim piece and about 6 bolts were lying unattached in the compartment! And they even left their Milwaukee impact driver as well as the Tesla diagnostics reader as well!! Just sitting there. Wow. I ended up using the impact driver to reattach the pieces so that was actually convenient but whoever spaced on this just lost some nice hardware. The good news is I now have a backup impact driver and Tesla gadget! Thanks guys! I'll return it next time I need some servicing. read more

The facility was in a business park with little signage or directions other than there being Teslas parked all over the place. They did have some portable signs directing you where not to park, but for parts only, not so much. There were plenty of empty spaces, just not sure what they were intended for. Other than that, I highly recommend this location and would not hesitate to return. read more

Customer experience: This is my first visit to a Tesla Service Center. I came in due to notifications telling me that some of the safety features on my X were disable. I called and schedule a mobile appointment but that changed into going into this place. My appointment was about a week and a half away and I didn't feel comfortable driving the car as is. I received a notification text about my appointment. I wanted to go in and figure out the process would be like. The text messaged said if they kept the car overnight or a few days they would provide an Uber voucher. I went online and asked on a group page if it was still a voucher or would they allow a loaner vehicle due to the covid situation we are in. Got mixed answers so I decided to go in after work just to ask questions on how the process would be. Anton was my service rep. He was very helpful and informative. Walked me through the whole process. I told him my concern and he said we can take your car in and get it worked on. I asked about the voucher or loaner vehicle and he said we can provide you a vehicle. Pick between the S, X or 3. I was in and out of the shop within 20 minutes with a loaner vehicle and my car being serviced. They kept me updated via text message and app notifications. The car was serviced and done the same day, however I had to head into work and pick up the X the next morning. Overall great customer service experience. The details: Shared parking with other business off trade place. There a lot of parking spots. Right in front of the shop are chargers that I believe are for either customer cars or loaner vehicles. The interior has the precautions set in place due to covid. There is a distance between you and the service rep. There are comfy seats inside with a TV. They have an area for refreshments. Restroom as well. I will be coming back to this place for my service needs. I will recommend this place to my fellow Tesla owners and future Tesla owners. read more

Bought a Tesla Model Y Quicksilver brand new with some minor paint defects which Tesla gave me an appointment to get fixed over at Miramar Tesla Service Center. Here is where I met Brady Voight, my service advisor. I turned in my Model Y on January 27th and left with a loaner for what should have been a weeklong job but turned out to be a 30-day job at the point of satisfaction. Turns out, quicksilver is a new color, months old at the time, and the hood was not wanting to receive the paint the way it should have for whatever reason, whether it was user error or not. This was the first thing I noticed when I first got the car back and immediately brought it up to the attention of Brady. Told Brady in the words of a project manager, no one sees 95% of a project (the hard work and sweat behind the labor), they just see that last 5% (the finish; most crucial part) and that last 5% will either make or break the presentation to the client. In this case, the last 5% did not make the cut and whatever hard work, number of hours, the number of attempts to get it right went down the drain because all I saw was a quicksilver Model Y with a dark gray hood. There were some other discrepancies addressed as well. Nevertheless, Brady listened to my concerns, understood the severity of the issue obviously, and took charge to make sure customer satisfaction and the right product was achieved. With Brady's persistence and attention to detail he ensured my Y was back to its original color and original state as when I first bought it. Great experience. Scott, Alejandro and the team at TSLA are fast, efficient, communicative and keep costs of repair to a minimum. All my appointments have been under 1 hour from start to finish. The check in process is incredible. You park your car in the designated service spot and the car automatically switches to service mode - next the advisor signs you in, you are then met with the service coordinator who assesses your concerns and within 10 mins. you are in service and while the car is repaired you get to lounge with coffee, snacks and can even walk around to see the new cars (new Model Y is a darling but today they had me at 'cybertruck now qualifies for the ev credit :-)...one day some day hopefully I will get mine !) When the car is done you pay through your phone and you are out of there - no paperwork, no bs, just fast, efficient fixes to the problem - in a friendly, courteous and respectful manner. I was waiting outside for my car and Scott noticed that it was taking more than 5 mins. for them to pull up my car from the back - so he asked me for my key and went around himself and got it for me. These guys are crooks. As far as repairs, they know how to replace things, not fix them. More importantly, they don't take responsibility for the work they do -- they created more problems in my car then when I dropped it off then claimed that according to their computer the problems were there before, when they definitely were not. This behavior started only when my warranty expired. And you HAVE to go there for your repairs. It's an artificial monopoly designed to take advantage of vulnerable customers who have no alternative. This is tucked away in the rear side of the parking lot. Tesla does a great job servicing their clients during this time. I was rear ended recently, the estimator was able to come by the house to assess the damages. Since it was minor and I was worried about driving a rental car during this time, they offered me one of their loaners. I was able to take advantage of test driving the model Y.
