Heather truly went above and beyond to make our stay special, doing so many thoughtful things that she didn't have to. She was incredibly kind and even built us a cozy fire so we could enjoy making s'mores in the evening. The lodge is extremely dog-friendly, which was perfect for us. They even have a secure, gated potty area where dogs can safely be off leash. Our husky had the best time playing with Bear, who is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met. Bear got along wonderfully with our dog and was friendly with every person and dog we saw. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a welcoming, relaxing, and dog-friendly place to stay in Arnold, Meadowmont Lodge is the perfect choice. We'll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Arnold Meadowmont Lodge…read more Which is saying something, because it's five and a half hours from our house. We don't even drive five and a half hours to visit some relatives. We found it by accident a few years ago on an anniversary trip and liked it so much that we came all the way back just to stay here again. I love this place because it still has that classic 1960s roadside motor lodge feel. Not the "I hope the plumbing works" kind. More like, "This is what a motor lodge would look like if somebody loved it for the last 60 years." Everything is immaculate. The rooms are spotless, the landscaping looks like every blade of grass had a performance review, and they've got a fire pit and cornhole out back. Which is a game I've played for years and still can't believe that's the name everyone agreed on. The people here are just... nice. And not "hotel nice." Actually nice. We know because, on the way up, we hit a deer. That's not part of the amenities, by the way. Suddenly we're wondering if our car is going to be in the shop for days, and the staff immediately started helping us figure out how to extend our stay if we got stranded. They didn't have to do any of that. They just genuinely wanted to help take one more thing off our plate during a pretty stressful day. Thankfully, we made it home, but that little gesture is the kind of thing you remember. There are plenty of hotels where you sleep. This is one where you feel welcome. My wife and I can't wait to come back. Hopefully next time we'll leave the local wildlife out of the itinerary.

It's clear they take pride in their campground as it's well maintained and clean. The dog run area is large and fenced tall enough for my big dogs and with some enrichment activities. Greatly appreciated!! Thank you! Overall, a great experience and we look forward to staying here again!

Review for the log cabin with the double bunks and full bed…read more Let's start with what we loved. The staff is super friendly and the campground is a quick drive to town, not far from Ironstone Winery and Murphy's. The cabin was spacious and we loved that there was some tree cover for shade. Also thought the cooking pavilion with sinks and stove burners was really convenient. With that said, was it worth $187.50 per night to stay in a log cabin with no amenities, that not been cleaned ahead of arrival? No, wouldn't do it again. Upon arriving to our cabin and paying $25 to check in 3 hours early we found it full of spider webs and leaves. We also noticed that when other people had checked out during out stay no one came by to check or clean the cabins. Our cabin had 2 ceiling fans, one of which the chain was broken or removed so only worked with the light on. This made for very hot nights. The bathrooms were close by and pretty clean but 1 of the 2 bathrooms was locked and unavailable for the majority of our stay. The grounds are pretty desolate, its all paventment and gravel. There is a sand volleyball court where you can also play badminton and a basketball hoop with a dirt court. The pool is not heated but in the thick of hot August it was refreshing. It is old and needs maintenance but did the trick to cool us down. The office has a store, but calling it that is a stretch. It has some candy, soda, firewood and ice. If you forgot something it would mean a short drive to town for provisions. For what we got at that price, I would not book again.

If you want it done RIGHT... Call HIBERNATION first!…read more Three years ago I purchased a top of the line Lopi Greenfield GSR2 propane stove from Foothill Fireplace Pools and Spa. I spent a hefty $6,007.00 by the time it was installed in my living room. It never worked properly and for three years, I've been begging and pleading and fighting with Foothill Fireplace Pools and Spas to get it right. Foothill kept telling me it was my fault that our Lopi stove wasn't operating properly until they finally told me they didn't want to "deal " with me anymore. I paid Foothill good money several times over THREE YEARS to come up repeatedly to relight my stove and I was told for three years that the problem was caused by " user error ". I made very clear that no one was changing any settings and that I was waking up to or coming home to a cold house every other day. I was at my wits end until I finally went over Foothill's head, calling the manufacturer of Lopi stoves, Travis Industries. The Lopi regional representative, Edward, who handles Lopi for Foothill Fireplace Pools and Spas listened to me and sent me new parts for my Lopi, qualifying those parts as warranty replacement parts. Unfortunately, Edward sent them to Foothill Fireplace Pools and Spas. Foothill refused to do the work, and withheld the parts for 11 days before shipping them to me at my house, still refusing to come install them. The regional representative, Edward gave me the number for HIBERNATION Stoves and Spas, located at 2182 CA-4 Suite E540, Arnold, CA 95223! I called and spoke with Austin Deaver. Austin immediately put me at ease. He told me he would be happy to come look at our stove and he assured me he would fix it properly. And he did just that! He listened to me. I explained the stoves behavior to him, like I had explained it over and again to Foothill . He tested the stoves brain ( IFC) and it tested bad. He validated my claim. HIBERNATION made it right when Foothill could not. Period! HIBERNATION is my GO TO. I will always call HIBERNATION for my Lopi stove. Not only did Austin come in here and get it right, he made our stove brand new. Austin! You're the BOMB! We love you ! Thank you for everything. You are truly appreciated!

Once we arrived,…read morewe went to go get players cards, and turns out I haven't been here since 2008, and it's definitely expanded since then. Of course the first slot machine we went to hit and we started up $300, which we essentially gave back as we were chasing the big win. A guy next us said 'It only takes one spin to win' and we took that a little too literally lol. We played a variety of the machines, but the most luck we had was with the Top Dollar Machines, the others weren't lucky this time around. While we only left up $30, we spent 3 hours of fun just playing away. Something I haven't seen at any other casino was a free soda and non-alcoholic drink areas! It's Pepsi products though, so not the best, but at least it's free. I saw people ordering smoothies, which looked really good but we never stayed at a slot machine long enough to get one. We came on a Thursday, and it was bummer that there was only (1) blackjack table going with a $5 minimum. I walked by multiple times and there was never an open seat. Plenty of seats of pai gow or poker though. Maybe it was just the time of day, but definitely would love to try my hand at blackjack next time around.
