Located in a busy shopping center where there's a Mitsuwa and Tokyo Central along with arrays of Kei Concept restaurants. It's probably one of my least favorite places to charge because of the hubbub and people and cars constantly coming in and out. Consequently, the charging station area had a lot of garbage littered everywhere. The trash can was also very overfilled and had people garbage picking. The chargers are spread out in an L shaped formation and not enough spaces allocated between the chargers. Don't be surprised if you get your car banged by shopping carts or absent minded kids and moms. If avoidable, I would go elsewhere just to save the stress of constant motion. The charging rates are not inexpensive and the charging speed rather slow too. read more

Super convenient location where you can have lunch or dinner while charging. However, this location really could use a queuing app! Its L shape layout costing over two rows of parking space makes it really difficult to know where the queue starts and ends. Lots of cars would either cut in line intentionally or accidentally. Love the convenience of this supercharger. It's located in a strip mall with a lot of restaurant choices with western fast food and lots of Asian food. There is also a Ralph's grocery store in the plaza, or you can walk across the street to Smart & Final or Trader Joe's, plus more restaurant options. The only negative is the queue is very confusing for people who don't charge there regularly. The queue is supposed to be in the middle lane (based on how cones were set up when this was new), but sometimes people will drive the other way and sneak into a spot without lining up. Also now that they are allowing non-Teslas to charge, some cars have the charging on the other side of their car, so it ends up taking up two spots bc of how they park. read more

I love this supercharger because there's so much to do and eat around here! The only problem that I have is that it can be a bit confusing to start the "line" if you're waiting for a charging spot. There can be two different areas you could wait and I've seen at least two occasions where someone came in the opposite direction to swoop a spot. Otherwise this place can charge up to 250kw and is generally pretty clean compared to other chargers I've been to. The neighborhood is safe so I wouldn't mind coming for a late night top off either! It's great that Irvine has so many chargers in case this one is full you can head on down to the next exit where 99 Ranch is and hit up one of their two new chargers. read more

If you live in the Irvine area you know how packed every supercharger station is! This is the newest Supercharger location in Irvine with 16 stalls with the newest v3 250kW chargers. It's located in the Heritage Plaza directly next to EMC in the ever busy Mitsuwa/Daiso/Ralphs plaza off the 5 on the corner of Culver/Walnut. You do have alot of food, drinks places to chill at while your car charges or just wanna kill time. Yes this station does get busy during peak hours as more people discover it so get in line starting near Wendy's, EMC lot. Don't be that person that just leaves there car there and get overage charges per minute too while a whole line of people are waiting! read more

Best Irvine stop for northern/southern CA travelers. This supercharger is busy, but we had no wait until we were ready to leave. It is right next door to EMC, a fantastic Chinese restaurant that had some of the best dim sum I've ever had, and I grew up near SF. Timing was perfect. We finished lunch (great fast service) just as our charging was complete. Very clean, well-maintained charging spot in a large strip mall with lots of retailers. Highly recommend. read more

July 2021 4:30pm As far as actual charging went, Tesla chargers worked as advertised, but if you also require a restroom and maybe some understanding helpful people, you will want to choose another Tesla charging station. We tried CVS (restroom out of order), Daiso Japan (was told no restroom), and Togo (restroom locked to public), the Togo employee respond to our inquiries with one word, "Whatever". If you are a local, this is the place for you, but if you are about 70% through an 8 hour drive to San Diego and don't know the area then I would recommend choosing another station. Ed G. read more

My first time using a supercharger so I decided to come here since it had the highest voltage. There does always seem to be a line here when I drive by but it does move reasonably well. The flow is a little confusing if you've never been and you could get backed up in the main road for the complex. Can't say it's the best spot for it but what can you do. There are many stores around here so you can easily kill and hour easily. Places to eat or shop. Would be nice to have a trash can nearby but that's just me. I can't say if the rates are comparable or not since I'm using free miles right now. SYOY! read more

What a lifesaver this charging station has been for the Irvine drivers/residents who drive a Tesla. I was praying that we'd get one near this side of town because if you didn't know, Walnut was the only one we had for a while and it was the WORST supercharger there was in Irvine. Especially if you didn't want to drive all the way to Michelson to charge your car. Now that we have this one, charging at any time of the day is stress-free as there are always available charging stations available. It's convenient to all of our favorite restaurants and stores and it's right off the 5 Freeway which makes it convenient when you're on the go. Now I'm just hoping and praying that they add one at the Portola Parkway/Orchard Hills Shopping Center then I'll be set. read more
