There is a gas station / convenience store as well as a Denny's Diner within a block. Also a Holiday Inn Express and a Hampton Inn if you're thinking of sticking around overnight. Both the gas station and the Denny's have wifi, but I'm not sure if they reach to the superchargers. There are a couple of trees, but not a whole lot of cover or shade. I could chalk up the wasted time to a learning experience (someone should stay with the car) but to be charged $28 for it is unacceptable. Called "customer services" but they "couldn't" (wouldn't) refund the idle fee. If I had caused the issue, or cost the company money (we were the ONLY car there) then I would take full responsibility and gladly pay.

Amenities around within walking distance: Meijer, Applebees, Starbucks, Logan's Roadhouse, GameStop, a barber shop, Taco Bell, Burger King, Panda Express and Lowe's Home Improvement (kind of a hike). There's a nice grassy spot with a tree to provide shade. It's a good location for a picnic if you don't feel like visiting the stores. The closest restrooms are in Applebees, Starbucks and the Meijer gas station.
