I just had a very long punch list done at ESS including new carpet throughout, replace a roof AC/Heat pump (along with ductwork butchered by a prior shop), new TVs/DVDs/Sound system in front and BR, replacement dash radio, Aladdin system resurrected from the dead, paint work needed from surface corrosion on the frames of all the slideouts, 4 new slide toppers, new generator exhaust, entry door window restoration, new CB/antenna and a host of service items including engine, generator, autoleveling and AquaHot systems, and more. Tom Bumpus and PJ McGann were simply awesome. The paintwork is a work of art ... you simply cannot tell it from the original and my paint is metallic gold which is extraordinarily difficult to match up. ALL of the work was awesome. After so many failed attempts locally to get quality work done near my home, it was worth the 2400 mile round trip to Elkhart. I easily spent more time and money locally over a year to get repeatedly disappointed in the quality of workmanship and the pricing, so the trip was well worth it. Tom and PJ have the knowledge, the experience and, most of all, the proper motivation to get it done right the first time.

I had a very frustrating experience with Elkhart RV Parts, totaling $372.99. I requested cancellation before the order shipped on September 1, 2026 and was later told in writing that the order was still paid but unfulfilled, with no tracking information or verified physical allocation. Their representative stated that my request for an immediate cancellation and full refund had been documented and sent for urgent review. Despite that communication, the order was shipped afterward. I was then told that my cancellation request was outside a one-hour window, that no refund would be issued, and that I would need to pursue a return after delivery. The issue was not simply the cancellation policy--it was the conflicting information and the lack of a clear, customer-focused resolution after I had been told my cancellation and refund were under review. Also keep in mind, an order was placed with them knowing the product wasn't available and that appears to be the case with most of their products. I am still seeking a full refund. Based on my experience, I would encourage other customers to confirm product availability, cancellation terms, and refund status in writing before placing an order. Keep in mind that will be difficult due to Elkhart RV Parts utilizing AI, doesn't have anyone to talk to, and will display products online that's not available.

We originally contacted these guys after a few of the well-known shops in town either didn't return…read moremy phone calls or couldn't do the work we needed done on the RV. Pro Custom was very prompt in getting back to me, going over the cursory to-do list, and getting us on the schedule when we knew we would be in town. The biggest problem we had was in getting started on the right foot. There was miscommunication between the sales and service guys about the scope and schedule, so the rig sat untouched until we were back in town to check on it. However, once we cleared all of the up, we got most of the work we wanted done in the right time frame. Like a lot of RV shops, they have hookups on site so that you can stay with your rig while they're working on it. The guys were always careful about everyone's pets, electrical needs (leaving refrigerators plugged in, etc.), and sleep schedules (they do start work by 7:00 if you'll let them in). The bad news is that the shop is near the expansive Elkhart rail yard, and the squealing of train brakes goes on 24 hours a day. You'll want to keep your a/c fans running or make sure you have white noise or earplugs to sleep the first few days. Where Pro Custom really shines is in the quality of the work. Our to-do list included some new appliances and exhaust fans, tearing out and re-wiring for relocated TVs, and a bunch of maintenance. The custom woodwork done that blends seamlessly in with the 15 year-old cabinetry surrounding it. The electrical work disappeared just like it should, and they were very cautious about keeping the systems balanced. Everything looked great when they were done. They had recommendations for care and feeding of these projects and for the ongoing to-do list. The crew are completely professional and good at what they do. RV projects are a lot like home projects- plan ahead to get the contractors scheduled, pad your time and expense budgets by a small percentage to account for unforeseen surprises, and communicate with the crew often to make sure the project stays on plan. Once you go in with those expectations, you'll be happy with these guys' work.
