We had looked at a place on Arnold AFB, but at the time it was government shutdown and so there was no chance of that happening. It would have been interesting to stay the night there though. So we went into town, and looked around at various places. The Best Western was the best fit for us, so that is where we went. Check in was an easy process, no issues there, and the room was clean and appropriate. Pricing was good, particularly since they honored a price I had been set by another vendor. We slept well, and glory unto glory, the shower had a decent shower head in it that allowed for a proper shower, not one of these rain shower heads that are absolute garbage in my book. If we were to ever come through this area again, we would absolutely consider the Best Western.

This hotel is the closest to my grandmother's rural home in Estill Springs, Tennessee. After…read moredriving a total of 14 hours in one day from Florida to this hotel, we were excited to get to the hotel and decompress; but this could not be further from what really happened. As we walked in there were plenty of unpleasant surprises. Including spiderwebs in the corner of the ceiling, the air vent being full of suspicious solids including hair maybe? Cocoons?? Bugs??? Who knows. The couch was dirty and hideous, the floors and toilet were dirty, and there a very weird stale smell wafting through the air. The cherry on top of the awful room was the straight-from-a-horror-film exposed brick cut-outs in the wall. However, onto the only positive of the stay: Karen at reception. She was so kind to my mom during her first stay at this hotel, and this visit too she was patient, kind, and empathetic. If you do stay at this hotel, make sure to try and look for Karen at the front desk. She was the one thing that made this experience somewhat enjoyable. If you choose to stay at this property, be sure to check your room before you unload all of your belongings.

This is the largest collection of Tesla chargers I have seen so far!…read moreThere are 24 separate chargers available here for Tesla of two different models of chargers. They all work but one or two that is out of order. Two of the units are assessable on each side. The charging rate here when I came was only $.27. It's in the parking lot of a huge shopping center with lots of restaurants and shopping. They're also hotels around. It's very well lit up at night and I felt safe and secure while using the charger. They should add a garbage bin over here although there's no trash laying around as very much I feel there would be better serviced if they had a garbage bin somewhere nearby. It's out in the open. There are no shade trees or nothing and it is in the back corner of the target parking lot alongside Longhorn steakhouse and kind of in front of Sheraton hotel. This location is open 24 hours in accessible not far from the highway.

Target's restrooms are usually decent though not this one on my visit https://www.yelp.com/biz/target-brentwood-2?hrid=wy3mlMpwKUBUK8lkHQzXLw. If you're hungry, there is a LongHorn Steakhouse, Panera Bread, Fulin's Asian Cuisine and a Waffle House nearby. The station has twelve Tesla chargers and four J1772 hookups. OMG! I had heard about Buccees but could not fathom what I just visited. My first time visiting a…read moreBuccees ever! My friend gave me an orientation of the place. I checked out the desserts, brisket sandwiches and all of the beef jerky. I then went to the Buccees shot glasses. Of course, I took pictures of the Buccees truck along the way. The staff was friendly and able to help me find what I was looking for. My friends and I shopped and ate for two hours! Since there isn't a place to eat, we ate inside my friend's car. The bathrooms are clean with no wait time. I enjoyed looking at the artwork when I entered the bathroom. I noticed there were other products that looked like it belonged to a Hallmark store and fishing store. Buccees has whatever you need and more. The brisket was delicious and I loved the sauce. The sandwich was just enough for me. My friends and I had a fantastic time perusing Buccees and now I know why people are obsessed.

Lots of nice Buc-ees household, clothes, toys and fun promotional stuff. The food area had everything you could possibly need or want. I really liked my brisket sandwich but the fount my coconut cream dessert a bit too sweet. I did like my little baked apple pie. My husband liked his banana cream dessert. Coffee just ok. The bathrooms are absolutely amazing. Clean little rooms with their own sanitizer machines. So many ! We will go again perhaps on another road trip maybe if it is not too crowded but would not go out of my way to go.

Went here for the lore of it all. This place is huge. Is it a gas station or a grocery store or a…read moremall? The answer is yes. Their marketing is too notch, I don't think it's possible to walk out of there without some sort of souvenir. It's well lit. They have Buc-ee's children's books, Buc-ee's swimsuits, Buc-ee's everything. I walked out with an assortment box of fudge, cotton candy-watermelon,strawberry banana, and regular. Watermelon one taste like it was made with the baby bottle pop watermelon dip power-amazing. The strawberry banana actually tasted like individual flavors coming together the banana flavor imitated the banana laffy taffy I was impressed, and they were like only $2. They have rock candy suckers here! You don't see those everywhere, they feel like a cannon event. I noticed they have a huge deli Jekry style. A whole bakery fudge style. And the people that work there in cowboy hats which I thought was really cute. Was it worth the hype? Sure. Be prepared to spend at least an hour on your port break during a road trip. The view at the pump is beautiful as are most views in Tennessee. Saw some things I've never seen before even in the checkout line, energy packs that look like zyns. And specialty mints in interesting flavors.

This is my first and possibly last Bucee's experience…read more Outside: YES--Cheapest gas--a full $0.70 cheaper than any other stations along the highway!!! That alone was worth the stop, but the rest of the experience was less than expected. By the pumps, there are no windshield washer squeegees anywhere, so you cannot clean the bugs off of your windshield. The pay-at-the-pump interface was frustrating. It would not accept my Discover card. I used my Visa, and it locked into selling me only 15 gallons. The only great part of the refueling experience was the price and the zero wait for a pump because they have so many of them. Also, this location has a car wash, and the purchase option was imbedded in the gas purchase--I didn't want it, but accidentally got it. I guess that would be one way to clean the windows, but be aware as you're trying to buy gas. Inside: The inside is huge. It's like someone took a Walmart and placed restrooms and food kiosks in the center of it. The women's bathroom was awesomely clean. It's huge with individual doored stall-rooms along the walls with green (open) and red (busy) lights above the door, so you can quickly find a stall that's open. The entire center of the bathroom is full of sinks/soap/paper towels. It was spotlessly clean and the highlight of the whole experience. Food: Having seen another Yelp review, we got 2 XXL BBQ Brisket sandwiches and Buc-ee's chips and 2 $0.99 fountain drinks. We also picked up a small bag of chocolate covered pretzels. That lunch cost us $41, and there was nowhere to sit to eat it. The expectation is that you go back out to your car to eat. After being in the car for 6 hours, I didn't want to eat in the car, so we found a lamppost in the shade that we used as a "table" and stood to eat. Service: Everyone working at this location was helpful and friendly, so the service is great. Recommendation: If you are looking for a clean bathroom and cheaper gas--this is an awesome place to stop!! Of course, the cheaper gas price is how they draw you in, then they make up the loss in inside sales, especially food. There are many food choices, which is also good, as long as you intend to eat in the car. If you get the BBQ sandwich, I would get the one without the sauce.
