They have pretty much everything you could think of and anything you could possibly need. It was well stocked and much more inventory and stock than my store back home that tends to be out stock on certain essential things. Not so here; the shelves and racks were full. I was able to pickup everything on my list and then some. I've always wanted an extra 30 amp power cord since one time I couldn't get close enough in an older state park. Steve's had a 25 ft cord that suited me fine. It was ten dollars more than ordering it online but there would be added shipping charges so I'm a happy camper. I'm bookmarking this place for next time because my daughter plans on moving back to her home state and I plan to visit yearly.

I don't plan on hauling a lot of gear, but not only was I looking for protection, but also for the sound deadening qualities of a spray -in liner as well as the clean looks they give. The next thing on my aftermarket list was going to be a tonneau cover. I did a lot of research and immediately knew that I did not want a soft cover, as they offered very little protection of anything in the bed, as a razor could easily slice it open in a matter of seconds. Although initially undecided on which cover to get and where to purchase it, I was fortunate that my non-Yelping Uncle (Frankie R. III) and his soon to be son-in-law (non-Yelper Phil D.) were friends with Myron Ancona (owner) at Van Village Motorsports. My Uncle also just purchased a 2020 Silverado and had a BAKFlip 4 hard tonneau cover installed on his truck at Van Village. After seeing how good his looked, and after getting a good price quote from Myron, I purchased and had a BAKFlip 4 hard tonneau cover installed on 16 MAY 2020. The BAKFlip 4 is a very popular choice as its folding configuration lets you choose whether to leave it closed and locked, open 1/3 of the way, 2/3 of the way or fully open. It is a quality cover and does not interfere with the third brake light when folded up against the cab to allow for taller items to be placed in your bed. The BAKFlip 4, although not water tight, stops approximately 95-98% (my unprofessional estimate) of water from getting into the bed during a rain storm or a trip to the automated car wash. The rails of the cover have drain tubes which were routed through two pre-existing holes in the bed intended for additional hooks for cargo. Any water exits through the drain tubes in an effort to keep your bed and cargo dry. The truck already had 12 hooks from the factory and 9 additional holes for more hooks; therefore, losing 2 holes does not really affect your cargo securing strategies. The installation only took 45-60 minutes and the cover has been rock solid for the past 5 months. Myron Ancona runs a good shop and I definitely recommend them.

Marina Beau Chene is an excellent neighborhood…read more The first thing you notice when entering this neighborhood is that it is gated and staffed by a uniformed security guard. As a person who appreciates the idea of high security and safety, I like that feature. If you are able to get past the initial screening you will notice you've entered an idyllic environment. Homes are beautiful, yards are well manicured and everyone seems friendly. I have no idea if the people are genuinely friendly, but they do wave at me as I drive by. I guess they could be signaling that I am #1 or something, but I digress. The most beautiful feature of this neighborhood is not the gate, the homes or the people. It's the marina. I wont tell you exactly where the marina is located since that would defeat the whole safe and secure environment thing. What I can tell you is that should you have a boat, this would be a good place to keep it. Whether that boat is a nice sized fishing vessel or a large live aboard yacht, you can find it all here. The slips will fit vessels that are 30', 40' or 50'. You can also get into the Tchefuncte River and Lake Pontchartrain if you decide to leave the comfort of the marina. If you are in the market for a boat, or just like to dream about one day owning one, there are always several nice examples for sale here. My favorites were the late 70s live aboard Chris Craft or the waterfront condo with a slip that were both for sale. If you can get past the security, this is a great place to live or visit.

I arrived on New Year's Eve to celebrate with a bunch of girlfriends at the house and then later on at the Chimes. The security gentleman was courteous and remember to give them your name, the name of the people you are visiting, and their address. It is a gated community and when we arrived later that evening we had to enter through the main Beau Chene entrance which is also gated. So prepare to give the same information. It is a beautiful neighborhood but be careful and drive slowly because it is windy roads and at night there was a dog that ran in front of my car. Fortunately I was going super slow and waited until he moved on. The houses are well lit but the streets themselves don't have street lights so again, proceed slowly. My girlfriend's parents built their dream home here and their gorgeous home overlooks the marina with numerous boats. Like any gated community it appears that people maintain their property well. There was a friendly vibe and my friend's personal trainer lived a few doors down. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the front porch, back deck, and the marina!

They checked the tires and determined that I needed to replace another due to dry rot. So I went and got lunch while they retrieved the tire. When I got back they replaced and rotated the tires and - to my great surprise - they found three nails in the additional tire they recommended I change! Good thing I did! Appreciated very much the fast, knowledgeable and professional service provided - and at a great price. Highly recommended. My new mechanics!

I checked the date on the battery a week later and found a date sticker of 4/22, ten months old already into a three year warranty! When I went back to the store the manager said that AutoZone sells battery's that are up to EIGHTEEN MONTHS OLD. That's half of it's three year warranty. I've owned cars for over half a century and have never heard of anything so absurd. He did say that they would honor the warranty but I'm still paying $210 for a year old battery. Is corporate dumping old stock through this store?

He said he needed to see what kind of car I had. To me this made no sense because either you can or you can't install a light bulb. Maybe I'm wrong. So going to the parking lot he tells me to "pop my hood" so I pop it. Keep in mind. I have a factory car. No mods/upgrades, nothing super fancy a regular mass model SUV. He looks at the headlight, and tells me he can't install it without un-screwing nuts and bolts and such and he can't do that because it's a liability. That's all fine and dandy. But I told this guy when I got up to the counter my make and model of my car and asked if they could install it right then and there. Why waste my time going to the parking lot, and doing all that if they can't unscrew/unbolt the headlight. I don't know much about cars but I'm pretty sure mine isn't the only one that has bolts on the headlight. After shutting the hood he says "aren't you going to come back inside and buy the bulb" and I said "well not if you guys can't install it. I definitely can't install it myself" and he said "well you can still buy the light bulb". I don't understand. Don't make somebody go through all of that if you can't even install it. No I didn't buy the light bulb because I can't install it myself. Just a big disappointment from this place all together.
