Run. The reviews are old. Currently the business ethics will leave you in a very expensive and dissapointed situation. You may or may not get a call back from the person who is suppose to book your move. You may not get the movers, Darius, at all on the day that you think they are suppose to show up? My partner and I have moved six times over the past four years, all to different states. We have hired movers for each move. Tetris Moving company has been by far the best moving experience we have had, and we give them five out of five stars. We have worked with Darius (the owner of the company), Anthony (one of the movers), and Michael (also one of the movers). On our first move, Darius himself and Anthony helped us. On our second, Anthony and Michael helped us. To begin with, Darius is awesome to work with. He is easy to communicate with about a potential job, he is responsive, and he is prompt, all of which are really important to people with scheduled moving dates. His pricing and services provided are also unambiguous, which is also important, as well as uncommon among moving companies. He holds his employees to a high standard, and it really shows- the other reviews all say very similar things. Also, anecdotally, I personally watched Darius "one-man" an oak dresser that was the entire reason we hired movers the first time, LOL. It was incredible. On to Anthony- we couldn't figure out how to request him, so we just crossed our fingers that he would get put on our move the second time and he did! Before I even go into all the great stuff about Anthony, I want to share an anecdote that we have told our family probably 30 times. The first time we worked with Anthony, I couldn't maneuver the truck down the aisle in the storage place, because it was very narrow and a car was blocking me. My partner was saying, "just turn it, just turn it!" And I was saying, "I hear you, but I literally cant!" When we finally got it figured out, Anthony, who had been behind me, hopped out of his car and said, "you keep saying 'I can't,' 'I cant-' but you can! You can, because you did!" It was so uplifting and motivational, it was a pretty cool way to start what could have been a miserable day. Anyways, we love working with Anthony. He is so professional and knowledgeable, and honestly a natural leader. Darius, if you read these personally, I just want to say that I used to hire Project Managers, and Anthony is IT. He has IT. He has such a natural way of making sure things get done and get done right. He was loading up the truck today and saying stuff like, "actually, this would be the best way to do this without anything breaking," or, "let's do xyz because that's the standard we want to set." It was pretty cool to see him taking ownership of the company he works for and being both onboard with company policy, and also intentional about communicating and complying with it. Hes also a natural leader, like I mentioned. The way he directed what he wanted done, and how and why, was really impressive, and in my opinion, he would be an asset as a manager of people and projects. This experience was so good for us that not only did we want to work with him twice, but this time I literally gave him carte blanche to tell me anything he wanted verbatim conveyed in a review. All he did was crack up and say, "just tell Darius I was better than him!" Haha! Finally, Michael was professional and knowledgeable as well, and also completely hilarious. Michael was cracking jokes the whole move, and it was cool to see he and Anthonys relationship. They're clearly really close, and work well together, and its just fun to be a part of. Michael had us cracking up the whole time, and his engineering background was really apparent in how efficient he was. It was really nice working with Michael, and we will be requesting him (as well as Anthony, of course) next time. Overall, I have recommended Tetris Moving Company to multiple friends and family in the area, and we will be using only them moving forward. It has been by far the best experience we have had with any moving company, and perhaps most importantly, they *do the entire job.* We were describing a fiasco that our in laws had with a separate moving company to Anthony, where the other moving company only did one trip and then left. Anthony looked genuinely disgusted and was adamant that they should have done the entire job, and that he and Michael were here for the whole move because that's what they were hired to do. I almost never leave reviews and felt very strongly about making sure I shout this from the mountain tops. This is an amazing company and the service they provide is unbeatable, and I genuinely feel that. Perfect rating from us, and I would 100% recommend to any and everyone. I have moved so many times and used different companies and I have never been satisfied or happy enough to wit a review. I moved on 12/22 and from the first call I made until the crew completed putting my items in storage, everything went smoothly. The gentlemen (Darius and I cant remember the other guys name) showed up early and did not stop moving until the job was done!!!! Very pleased and will use them again once our new home is completed. read more

Ended up cancelling before actually using them. Did not respond to calls, texts, or emails, and couldn't leave voicemail due to inbox being full. Only replied to text AFTER I informed them that I'd cancelled through U-haul. If you want assurance of a moving company that will at least communicate and then show up as scheduled, I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Scheduled a multi-residence move a week in advance and was given an arrival time of noon on June 26th. The movers were a no show at 1 pm. They were called at 1 and stated they were running behind and would be there in 45 minutes. An hour passed and at 2 I texted the owner and asked if they were coming or not, with no response. They never called and never showed. This is a Bogus/ Ghost moving company. read more

We moved all our stored belongings from Norfolk to Oregon last week. Tetris was perfect for this job. They packed our rented 26' truck masterfully, maximizing all of the space and securing it for the long ride. They followed our instructions for handling certain items. They also worked efficiently. Darrius and the other two movers were excellent! I asked for 3 men at 10 a.m. on 4/20, and that's exactly what I got! They were professional, cool, positive, helpful, and took great care of our items. They were done in under 2 hours, even with us trying to figure out what went to the apartment and what stayed in storage. Price was awesome compared to the big name moving companies. I will highly recommend them and I will use them again when it comes time to move into our own home. read more

These two guys were absolutely excellent. They moved a very large apartment in 3 hours. They were punctual and the name Tetris Team really fit with what they accomplished shoving so much stuff into a 6x12 trailer, truck bed, and two car cabs. It was incredible. We didn't have to lift a finger - Darius and his crew took care of everything. We would absolutely recommend them to everyone we know and use them again in the future. Darius and Kevin were absolutely AMAZING! They both showed up on time, ready to to work, and with a pleasant and professional attitude. Darius was easy to reach and contacted me a couple of times in the days before my move to iron out details and coordinate. They managed to get all of my belongings to my new address and unload it in one trip with time left over of the 2 hours I paid for. Darius was even more careful with my stuff than I think I would have been alone and provided moving blankets. I originally hired Tetris Team because of the awesome name but would hire them for any and all moves I have to make because of their stellar work ethic.
