Come and peaceful resort. Highly recommended. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Especially if you're doing the Alpine/Engineer/Cinnamon pass loop over two days.

I am sadden by my first experience at a mountain cabin. My main issue with this place was the housekeeping. I found a used condom in my bedside table and the next day I found used boxers between the nightstand and wall. It made me question if our sheets were clean. It was brought to the attention of management and they didn't seem to take me very serious. We were later sent a nice basket with snacks and wine. It was a very sincere and nice attempt but the crackers were open and expired by two years. The cheese had expired by four days and gum was expired by a couple of years. (Photos posted) I hate to even mention this but with the cost of the cabins, I expect something different. We stayed in a larger cabin with a loft, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath. The cabin design was neat but I recommend adults to sleep in the bedrooms as anyone sleeping in the main room or loft can hear anything, and I do mean anything. The 1970s couch in this cabin was horribly old and broke down. (Photos posted) My son was unable to sleep on it. We would have brought an air mattress had we of known. The wooden floors are not stained or sealed so anything dropped on the floor stains it. It doesn't look very clean. (Photos posted) The bed in our room was comfortable. I did think I should have brought a fan until the room cooled off by the mountain air. I believe this place has the potential to be so much better. It was very peaceful and easy access to the mountains and town. You will need to bring lawn chairs as there is not enough seating on the porch. It was nice to sit out on our porch to watch the wildlife and listen to the creek. The other couple who went with us addressed all these issues with the owner and he basically said he didn't care. His marketing people would take of any bad reviews.

Cute place with beautiful scenery. Tip: Be very selective of your cabin.

The lady who checked us in was very nice and offered to help us find hiking trails, restaurants, etc. The room was VERY nice - a small kitchenette, a huge and COMFY King Size bed, just very comfortable lodgings. There were also lawn chairs outside of our room where we sat in the evening looking at the beautiful mountain views and stars. The lodge was very easy to find and very close to the downtown historic area. My only con is that the bathroom was a little small, but for an overnight stay, we didn't need a whole lot of room. Overall review: Everything was just lovely and accommodating. I would certainly reccommend this hotel to everyone going to Lake City.

I said, "no we just got led here looking for a charge." She told us to go down the street where a public charger was available. I said I saw that charger but it was in use, "Do you mean the first street or is there another one." Nasty woman says, "1st, 2nd, 4th, I don't know, just get out of here." Well, as karma would have it, we were looking for a place to stay after our Handies hike. Guess what? This wasn't it! And, considering charging apps lead people here with a description of "open 24/7" and "free parking," a very simple solution would be to simply put a prominent sign indicating the chargers are for guests only.

I believe they had, perhaps not a good dryer / lint removal. When I woke up in the morning in the full light of day I noticed the blanket was literally covered in what I'm assuming was dog hair. They allow pets and evidently it's find for the pet to sleep in/on the beds! Not good for folks with allergies. No soap, shampoo, lotion, coffee or amenities, but the kitchen is functional if you have your own coffee / food. We were on motorcycles and traveling light. When I inquired about soap the next morning I was THEN told they are just a sleeping cabin. Well that would have been good information to have before we checked in. The proprietor knew we were on cycles and should have insured we had what we needed. Lots of other places I'd check before staying here.

Keith is chatty and cool and just a great guy. I stayed in the old Airstream, which had a hot shower, kitchenette, and clean sheets - everything I needed! The resort is on the south end of town (so, a couple blocks away from downtown; Lake City is small and you can walk everywhere), quiet, wooded, and peaceful. The cabins seemed great - rustic but comfortable - but the Airstream had character all its own. It showed its age, but you can't beat the $$ in this pricey town. Also, a VCR and all the James Bond movies you could ask for. If you want to stay in a place that has character and feels like you're really hanging with the townsfolk, look no further!
