Texans Turf provided quality service from the moment Lukas stopped at the house to give options and quote. The crew on site worked diligently over a period of three days. We added scope of work, and very easy to deal with. Dogs have enjoyed the install quite a bit.

A half star rating is more appropriate. I suggest searching other turf companies and using them as my experience was not great. The half star goes to the initial response on getting a quote, it was very timely. Lukas arrived on September 14 and estimated the job, which was just a rectangle and an isosceles right triangle which I measured at 310 sq ft. Lukas verbally quoted me 345 sq ft and said any areas that were low would be built up and our existing drains would be raised to be level with the new turf. A border would be placed around the turf and our old existing turf would be brushed/rolled to spruce it up and the existing sprinkler heads would remain intact since it would be good to spray the turf occasionally.. all from Lukas. I received quotes from other companies but chose Texans Turf because Lukas said they could start in one week and the actual estimate I received in an email was 325 sq ft, which I had no problem with. ( The other companies would take 4 to 5 weeks to start and their quotes were for similar square footage.) The quote from Lukas included a detailed description of what was involved as shown above. I noticed that a sod cutter was to be used so when I accepted the quote, I emailed Lukas and requested that I wanted to save some of the grass to transplant to my front yard where there were bare spots. I accepted the quote on September 20 and didn't hear anything about scheduling so I emailed on September 21, no response. Emailed Lukas again on Monday, September 26 to schedule the install. He finally emailed and asked if this Wednesday the 28th would be good. I responded yes and also talked about saving some of the grass. No response back. I called him on Tuesday, September 27 and he texted me back. I was trying to confirm receipt of my email install and start time for the crew to arrive. Lucas said he didn't see my email and said start time was 8/9 AM and he was lining up guys. Wednesday, September 28 arrives and I took the morning off to prepare for the crew to arrive. No one arrived in the morning so I texted Lucas at 11:24 AM, he texted me that they had gotten the wrong turf and would be there in 30 minutes. They arrived at my house at hour later at 12:24 PM. I had already gone back to work but my wife was home and she immediately texted me to call her. Carlos arrived with three guys and he asked her if we were closing off our sprinkler heads and also he said he didn't know about the existing drains that needed to be raised. Carlos then immediately left to get lunch for his crew so I left work and arrived home at 1:45 PM and noticed that a sod cutter was not used, just a pick axe.....now I can't use my grass, it was all torn up. Carlos re-arrives at 2:14 PM with lunch, almost 2 hours to get lunch? Lukas eventually arrives with extra border and supplies and another five or six people show up to do the install and ended at 5:29 PM. They did not finish as shown above as they had run out of turf. Really? Carlos said that they would return tomorrow Thursday, September 29 at 8/9am again. They didn't arrive until 2:06 PM and did finish the job. After they left, I ran the sprinklers and noticed that three sprinkler heads were covered by the turf. I notified Lucas by email and he said that he would bring me sod on October 1 and someone would be out on Monday, October 3 to correct the sprinkler issue. Neither of those things happened. I emailed Lukas on Tuesday, October 4 of the fact and he said he will give me an update on Wednesday... Nothing. I called the office and was told repairs will be done on Saturday, October 8 to fix the sprinkler heads. I guess no luck with the sod. Carlos and two guys showed up on Saturday when we were not home but I left the gate open and I marked the areas where the spray sprinklers were with a white screw hook as shown above. I arrived a few minutes later to meet them and watch and to turn on the sprinklers to verify the locations. They fixed the issue but after they left, I found one screw hook in my ground covering next to the turf and another was thrown into my pool... Really. Still can't find the third one. I can't recommend this company.

My husband and I recently moved into our first home together. Immediately we started talking about having turf put into our modestly sized backyard area. We got on Yelp and requested quotes from about 5 companies. Dan responded very quickly and was helpful from our initial discussions. Clear, informative, friendly, and not pushy at all. He came out to our house to get measurements just a couple of days later and we received an estimate from him later that day. After researching and comparing our experiences, estimates, and reviews, we knew we wanted to work with Dan. I responded to him the evening that we decided, heard back from him within the hour, and he set an appointment for him and his team to come out the next day. They came in and within half a day, they consulted with us on stone placement, removed our existing grass, and installed this beautiful turf. So happy we decided to have the turf installed and that we worked with Dan to do so. It looks great and best of all, our pup loves it too! Highly recommend.

We used Highlands Deluxe Pet Turf and it's made an enormous difference in back and side yard. Really reduces mud and pet smells, although you still have to be diligent on cleaning up. Dan Gray very responsive to inquiry and providing estimate which was fair & reasonable; installers were efficient and job finishes quickly. Our pets love the turf and so do we!

I bought a condo with a wrap around patio full of nothing but rocks my dog couldn't even walk on, so I was set on getting artificial grass so it would be a usable space for her. I got a few quotes from different people, and the best one was Texans Turf. In fact, the other guys that came out saw the rocks/vines and completely checked out - it was obvious they didn't want the job because of how much work it would be and their astronomical estimates reflected that fact. Texans Turf had a reasonable estimate, got me on the schedule quickly and came and did the work fast too. The finished product looks great, and after half a day post-installation I've already had neighbors ring my doorbell to ask who did the work. After an afternoon spent outside playing with my dog on the grass, I am very happy with it.
