Abrazo Adoption Associates believe in open adoption and they educate their clients about why open…read moreadoption is so important for children. The staff members truly believe in building families who can come together for the sake of a child and they provide numerous resources for education and support. We found Abrazo to be unique through offerings like their online forum - a community of both adoptive and birth families - who come together to lend advice, provide support, and encourage one another through both good times and hard times in adoption. Another unique thing is their annual summer camp where staff, adoptive, and birth families all come together and hang out for a weekend. Abrazo is highly ethical and encourages expectant parent(s) to make their own best choices. They don't ever want a mother to make a choice to place her child unless she comes to that decision on her own. They teach their adoptive clients to respect the expectant/birth parents right from the start and provide ongoing support for birth parents through weekly group sessions in their office to a private online Facebook group specifically for birth parents. They are a small agency and they focus a majority of their energy on working with birth parents (as they should). Adoptive parents should expect to lean on the forum, their fellow orientation group members, or a cost-free mentor that's provided by Abrazo for the majority of emotional support or for the answering of day-to-day questions. The resources that adoptive parents discover during their waiting phase will be the resources they lean on as adoptive parents for many years to come. I can be reached out to directly for specific questions at adoptingcouple@gmail.com.

We worked with Abrazo twice in the last 15 years to adopt our children. I am still so very thankful…read moreto have found this agency. I truly do not believe we would be the parents we are without the education they gave us. From the start of going to orientation weekend, they set themselves apart. You have a built in support group with the other couples there. They offer a camp each summer as well that has been such a blessing to our family. We all have bonds that have enriched our lives. Abrazo taught us what open adoption is, and I'm forever grateful for them and the journey they helped us through.

Even though they gave me a map, it would be so easy to just have a stake in the ground that identified the buildings like building B. If it wasn't for the friendly staff and volunteers I would have been even more lost. How could you not support this place and its commitment to animals? It's obvious they could use some financial support and renovation but the point is they are caring and loving our beautiful creatures big and small. The main parking lot in front has a drop off area for donations. You have enter the building and sign in before seeing the animals for adoption. There's a little gift shop in front and all the staff are super friendly. Most of the viewing areas are outside and not easily handicapped accessible. They have a newer facility across from the zoo, but this one you can tell is where the love started. Come visit and support please.

The costs are significantly lower than going to a private vet. Wednesday hadn't had her shots so they were included in the costs. The only thing extra I paid was for a nail trim which she desperately needed. I think I paid about $130 total. The website has clear instructions of what's required. We signed in just after 0730. The staff was pleasant and kind, we were asked to return between 1500 and 1600 to pick up our fur babies. The process was smooth & efficient. They gave clear discharge instructions and provided the needed meds. We are post op day 4 and she's healing well so far. She was high strung pre surgery and very chill now. I'm glad we went this route with her. This place was amazing.

Adoption can be one of the longest, most stressful and uncertain journeys but when we partnered…read morewith Texas Adoption Center and their INCREDIBLE team that all changed. Our match was with birth parents who unexpectedly went into labor early and were wanting to find an adoptive family for their baby before being discharged. From Stacey Manning and Kenna Hamm sprang into action and took care of everything. Our initial communication with Stacey was honest and factual, she gave us all the ins and outs along with the honest truth of the situation. She was kind and patient and excited for a positive outcome. Once we were picked as the adoptive family our communication with Kenna began and can I just say wow. Kenna was more incredible than we could have imagined. She was an answer to prayer, in abundance! Her communication was frequent, her care for both the birth parents and us, the adoptive parents was full of love and patience. She was genuinely there for all of us. Her honesty and joy brought us so much confidence and clarity through our super fast-moving placement. She never kept us in the dark about a thing, answered every question we had and if she didn't know the answer to something, she found it. The way she navigated the hospital protocol with dept of family services and even CPS in our case was a work of art. It was very apparent everyone liked working with her and she was extremely professional in all of her work. During our one-on-one time with the birth parents Kenna kept what could have been a lot of awkward silences a conversation that flowed without pause. She brought up things we both wanted to know about one another but didn't know how to ask. She was always five steps ahead of all of us and it was such a blessing. During out time at the hospital with the baby Kenna advocated for us and kindly kept on the hospital staff to keep our check-out process moving forward. We honestly could not have imagined navigating any of it without her. Our post placement has been a breeze! Kenna set us up with a specialized app so we could keep in touch with the birth parents and has been available via call or text for any crazy questions we've had. She checks in with us regularly and T.A.C. has made the post placement process clear and easy. The law firm they partner with for finalization has been on top of things from day one. Not once have we had to follow up or track anyone down, they are in touch with us and on top of every detail making it the easiest finalization process we've ever heard of. We could not recommend Texas Adoption Center and Kenna Hamm more. If you are on the fence on who to work with, make it T.A.C. you won't regret it!

Everyone at TAC was wonderful to work with and made the adoption process very smooth from the time we met our son at the hospital till the time we finalized his adoption six months later and beyond. We can tell that the staff at TAC really care about both birth families and adoptive families and check in regularly to see how we are doing. My husband and I decided in late 2020 that we wanted to provide our son with a sibling via adoption and based on the wonderful experience we had with TAC in 2018 we chose to become a waiting family with them for our second adoption. They have once again been great to work with and have worked hard to make the sometimes confusing and stressful process of adoption as smooth as possible.

All I knew was that my deepest longing was to become someone's mama. Turns out, the team at Adoption Advocates made me feel safe and hopeful and *accompanied* every step of the way. Even more important - they did the same for my baby's birth mom. A few months ago, when my son turned one, I asked his birth mom if she'd be okay with me inviting our Adoption Advocates social workers to his backyard birthday party. Her response? "Of course! They're the ones who brought us together. I'd love to see them again." It was a sweet reunion. We will both forever be grateful.

When we saw a post that mentioned Adoption Advocates, we knew we had to check them out. We made arrangements to join the training sessions and meet the team. After meeting Rory and her team, we knew the agency was a great fit for us! Everyone was so thoughtful, kind, and informative. They helped us get everything together from paperwork to helping us getting our profile book just right. They take extra time to ensure adoptive parents understand what this process means on a deep emotional level. They connected us with other adoptive parents as well as mothers on the other end of the adoption, so we could better understand what this means for everyone involved. When our time came and our little one was born, Rory and her team made the process so easy. They were there to explain what everything meant and did so in a clear way that was so helpful. It allowed us to put our focus on our newborn and take in everything that was happening. We are so grateful for our experience with Adoption Advocates. They really care about not only this little bundle's future, but the future of everyone else involved. We were lucky to work with such a wonderful team.
