Had a work event here and I was really impressed. While I was initially disappointed there was no wine, their amount of options was satisfying enough for my guests and that's all I wanted. Their employees were attentive and friendly considering we had 130ish people in attendance. I don't recall ever seeing any long lines either. Not too impressed. It's a new joint in the micro brew industry looks like they are focusing more on the Tap room experience. Very modern style place with drift wood type wall panels. They have table tennis and all the bar games just not a big following, look kinda sad and dead. Wasn't too impressed with the beer didn't have any character it was just basic. Quote from the bartender this is our red this is our IPA and this is our wheat Ale . Just felt blah maybe if the staff was friendly and the beer was more exciting I would have it a better rating. Nice place, nice people and a very nice new venue. Only complaint would be how expensive the beers are. This for me was a huge turn off and why i wont be a regular at this place. When i go to a brewery, i expect them to treat me to some cheap beers. This is a dallas wide problem (looking at you community) and having traveled extensively to breweries in other states, its just awful to pay 5 dollars for a draft pale ale at the brewery. You made that beer for 10 cents ON PREMISE, and im trying to support your business, but im not going to go broke doing it Otherwise this is a cool spot to hang out, and i will be back, just not as frequently as i would like read more

While visiting Dallas on business, I stopped into Texas Ale Project for a couple of beers. It was a Thursday night and my coworker and I were 2 of 5 people there. A couple of guys were tending bar and were happy to talk beer and give a history about the brewery. Very friendly staff indeed. The building itself is really well built. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. It's clean and organized in the brewing area. It looked like they may have had an outdoor area but I went after dark and didn't really explore outside. The taproom has a great atmosphere. The keg fridge apparently sits above the taproom which helps to gravity feed the beer to the taps. Again, this place was really well thought out. It's clean and welcoming at the bar. The most important part is the beer. I tried 2 of them a double IPA and an IPA. Both were delicious. My favorite was the 100 Million Angels Singing double IPA. Crisp, hoppy, fresh, and just the right amount of bite. I liked it so much I bought the pint glass. I also purchased a shirt. Unfortunately, when I returned home I had a problem with one of the hems on the shirt after washing it. I live in Nashville, so going back for a return wasn't an option. I contacted the brewery and they took great care of me. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. I'm sold! I'll be stopping in whenever I return. Nice taproom and outdoor space. Had 5 beers on tap the night we went. Bartender was very friendly and talkative to us. Pay by the pint.

The place it's self is nice and mod, with what may be the cleanest restrooms I've seen in a brewery. What I quickly noticed is how this brewery was designed purposely to make money on the tap room. Large open space, great views, games and tons of sitting space. What I enjoy about other breweries is how you can go and taste unique beers that they only brew for the house. The beer here seems a little basic, or maybe it was the way the lady behind the bar presented the brew she said, "we have red, wheat, IPA, Amber and we are out of porter." You could almost feel her excitement and passion for the brewery (sarcasm laugh). I feel like the place and beer is lacking a little culture and taste. Don't know how to explain it, but it's pretty basic. I may return to give it another shot, but we left this place and went to Four Corners around the block. read more

The location is good. Ambience, decor, layout, games and overall setup is exceptional. Unfortunately they only have one beer that I feel is up to Dallas craft standards and that is their double IPA (100 Million Singing Angels). The Fire Ant is decent as well, but not a fan of their other brews. read more

This is a nice huge clean brewery. There was a food truck available for snacks. I got a flight for $9 and liked the beers. The porter was my favorite. Staff was fine. It was a nice day so there were tons of young people around playing cornhole, table tennis, and lots of fun loving youngsters around having a great time. I'd go back for sure. read more

Texas Ale Project is a new brewery in Dallas and just recently opened their taproom! Their beers have been making appearances at popular restaurants and bars such as Meddlesome Moth for a while now. You probably have seen their fire ant funeral around. Their taproom is spacious, new and offers a nice outdoor area to enjoy your beer. Since it is new, it is pretty bare and open but definitely worth checking out. They have only 4 beers on tap. A pint is $5 and a flight is $8 - so reasonably priced. Unfortunately, no free pint glass but hopefully that will change soon! The beers they offer are: 1. Naked Truth (american pale wheat ale) 2. 50 FT Jackrabbit (american IPA) 3. Something Shady (american porter) 4. Fire Ant Funeral (american amber/red Ale) My favorite were the fire ant funeral and the jackrabbit; both are solid and enjoyable choices. Overall, Texas Ale Project is a growing brewery offering easy to drink beers. However, I didn't think anything was too *special*. But can't wait to see how their beer selection will grow! read more

Cool hangout spot, cool people and very good beer!

These guys are great. Sure the tasting room feels a little corporate or sterile, but when the weather is nice, the courtyard is a great spot for a beer. The parking is a breeze, the prices are decent, and the taps are always cold and fresh. They continue to concoct interesting combinations (The Texas Blood orange IPA being my new favorite). All around, a good family owned and operated local company. I really hope they go far in the crowded field of Texas breweries. read more

I am certainly not a beer connoisseur but was not a huge fan of the ales or IPAs offered. I liked the million singing Angels the best and was disappointed that the citrus flavored beers were out. Overall the brewery is clean and is simple with a small indoor room and larger outdoor seating area. The atmosphere honestly isn't that stimulating but they do have corn hole. However I would be interesting in coming back with my dogs since there is good outdoor seating. read more

We rented out Texas Ale Project for a corporate event and it was amazing. The lead brewer conducted tours of the brewery and a beer 101 class, which was highly popular with our group. Super unimpressed with the beers here. All of the beers were too hoppy (and I like hoppy) and in my opinion lacked balance and depth of flavor. My husband received the wrong beer when he ordered first, so at least they were nice enough to give him the correct beer for free. The setup was also weird that on their open house day that they had tours, but you pre paid per beer and it was $5 a beer. Considering at most the other local beer tours its $10 for a glass and 3 beers, this seemed way too expensive. Their location is very nice though. The tab room is definitely one of the nicer ones in the area. They have a good sized patio area but need a lot more tables or places to sit. Also, for a newer place on the seen I felt like the workers could have been more inviting and friendly. I might give it another try, but my initial impression was not good. read more

Really great place. Everything on tap is very well balanced, tasty, and drinkable. Prices are reasonable. The space itself is beautiful. Very well thought out. Clean, rich materials, smells good. Great facility, great beers and an awesome view of the city. Unfortunately, on my first visit it was a bit too cold to enjoy the beer garden, but it looks awesome and definitely a cool place to hang out in good weather. There's a ping pong table too! Definitely try the porter since they don't can that one yet. The wheat was great too and I'm not a wheat fan, it was a lot closer to an IPA than anything. I visited the brewery yesterday and was quite impressed. It was gorgeous outside so my husband and I brought our dog and we sat outside in their huge beer garden and got to play jenga. I went on a free tour given by the ceo, Kat and it was very interesting, informative and such a clean brewery! I'm a big ipa fan so their 100 Million Angels was perfect for me. Well balanced, great aroma, some citrus notes. I'm definitely going back again. read more
