Salesman telling me they spent allot of money working on it and couldn't do anything else for us
    Kaleb L.

We bought a 2021 Dodge Ram for our son from Nyle Maxwell. We are from Amarillo so we flew in to pick up the truck and drive it back 7 hours. We made it two hours and the engine light came on with the attached message. We stopped at Stanley Jeep Ram in Brownwood to see if they could check the diagnostics. They did and found that all kinds of codes came up (see pictures) but the one causing the issue was a exhaust differential pressure sensor. We had bought the extended warranty so we didn't think we had anything to worry about, but the dealership let us know it doesn't go into effect until 30 days AFTER the purchase. This is a way for the warranty companies to make sure the dealerships are not selling junk cars and that they will at least last 30 days. Called our sales man Travis and let him know the issues we were having and he told us they had already spent too much money for them to fix it and still make money and that we should leave it at the dealership in Brownwood for 30 days until our extended warranty kicked in and they would fix it. In other words, we have his and Nyle Maxwells permission to commit fraud. The truck broke down 5 hours from our house. We had to get a hot shot to pick it up which cost $1985 plus $570.83 from the dealership to fix the issue for a pickup we owned 2 hours! No phone calls from Nyle Maxwell, they don't care, STAY AWAY!!

Ask for Kay for an Outstanding Car Buying Experience! I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Austin! I bought a 2022 Dodge Challenger R/T, and from start to finish, Kay went above and beyond to make it happen. When I first found the Challenger online, there weren't any photos yet because it had just been listed. I'd been searching for months for the perfect car, and this one turned out to be the car of my dreams. I reached out to the dealership, and Kay immediately sent me photos and a walk-around video. She had the car ready for us when we arrived, stayed late to answer all our questions, and was honest and transparent through the entire process. Kay worked incredibly hard to get us to the payment and rate we wanted--even with a ton of negative equity and only fair credit. The finance manager and team were just as fantastic--professional, communicative, and easy to work with. One of the most impressive things Kay did was personally drive the car to my house to test if it could make it up our steep driveway before we finalized the deal. Who does that anymore? That kind of dedication blew us away! The paperwork with Kristin was quick and painless, and the extended warranties were impressive. When we finally drove home, the Challenger was spotless, detailed, and everything I'd hoped for. If you want a dealership that will jump through hoops to make your dream car a reality, go to Nyle Maxwell! And ask for Kay! She's a woman of action who gets things done. As a female buyer, it meant the world to work with such a knowledgeable, genuine, and empowering salesperson. Thank you, Kay and the entire Nyle Maxwell team, for an unforgettable experience.

We went in there to test drive a used Fiat that was advertised. It was a one owner vehicle that they had originally sold and then serviced throughout its life. Our salesman Isaac was friendly and no pressure, and the manager Bo immediately lowered the asking price by $500. We quickly received their best offer, and everyone was friendly and competent. No hours of back-and-forth ridiculousness, no added on "reconditioning fees", or making you sign on an X that you were going to buy the car that day - none of that terrible car dealership mumbo-jumbo that makes you want to scream. When we picked up the car, it was perfectly detailed and they didn't keep us there for hours trying to get us to buy extra things. All in all a very pleasant experience! Ask for Isaac, he was super low-key and knowledgeable salesman.

    Fees

We recently visited Nyle Maxwell to see a 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport (black) that looked well-maintained in the pictures. Unfortunately, the in-person experience was very different. The vehicle had several noticeable issues: * Strong cigarette odor inside the car. * Paint dots and marks on the doors. * Door fixtures stained with ash and scratches, which would take multiple deep cleanings to fix. * Trunk liner cover missing. * Car needed alignment (noticeable while test driving). * Rotors and wheels in major need of replacement/repairs, plus other mechanical fixes that would easily cost a buyer 2-3 months of expenses right after purchase. When we asked for the pre-conditioning report, the staff claimed they didn't have it--even though they're the same dealership that serviced it. Instead, the manager tried to justify the price by saying it was "the best deal" and blamed tariffs and sales trends for their aggressive pricing tactics. We also found out that their "best price" of $200-$300 less only applies if you finance through them. On top of that, they push a so-called "free lifetime warranty", but nothing is free. Their cars are priced above fair market value, and that "warranty" is simply built into the cost. And then there are the dealer fees. They presented a breakdown showing a Doc Fee ($225), License Fee ($108.50), Title Fee ($37.75), Road & Bridge Fee ($23), Inspection ($21.75), and Deputy Fee ($10). All of that was bundled into $426 total dealer fees. Other dealerships we visited charged around $250 total, so this was still inflated. The way it's presented also makes it look like you're paying a stack of mandatory government charges, when in reality it's just the dealership's internal fee package. To make matters worse, the manager demanded to see a comparable vehicle listing before even considering negotiation. By the time I found one, I realized just how overpriced this vehicle actually was compared to others on the market. The sales process felt pushy. Rather than addressing defects or negotiating fairly, the manager insisted it was already the best deal. Later, when another salesperson stepped in, she came across aggressive and unfriendly, which only made the experience worse trying to harshly sell their lifetime warranty. No girl. In the end, we didn't buy the CX-3. We found a better deal at another dealership, a 2021 model with 10k fewer miles, less damage, and a lower price. The difference in customer service was night and day. Nearby dealerships like Kia North Austin and Covert treated us with respect, were transparent, and actually listened. Takeaway: * Don't advertise a low price and then add inflated dealer fees on top. * Don't mislabel internal fees as government charges. * Don't sell cars with obvious defects and mechanical issues at inflated prices. * Don't fall for the "free lifetime warranty" pitch, it's baked into their inflated prices. * Don't make customers feel trapped by financing games. There's a reason this dealership has 2.5-star reviews and our visit confirmed it.

Wow, never thought I would be leaving a positive review for a car dealership, but I am so impressed! From the very start, communication from the sales team was great. I arrived at the dealership and my desired vehicle was waiting. After a couple hours I walked out with the deal and vehicle I wanted. I will say, who impressed me the most was Carlos, the accessories expert. They were able to get my accessories in the purchase deal, and yes that means I saved on taxes. Carlos walked me through what I wanted and with his knowledge we built my Jeep to best fit my needs. Love it!! Hope you have the same great experience I did with Nyle. And make sure you speak with Carlos before you close the deal, he can add any accessory you want!! Thank you Carlos and the entire Nyle team.

I have the physical window stickers and text message timestamps that prove the following: * The Phantom Car: Your team handed me a window sticker for a specific VIN and told me it was on your Lakeline lot. I tracked that exact VIN to Kia South Austin, who confirmed they owned it and had already sold it to an individual the day before. * The Unreliable Stickers: To make matters worse, when we questioned a feature on the vehicle, your manager pointed directly to the window sticker and explicitly told me that the vehicles sometimes don't match the stickers exactly. Misrepresenting or failing to adhere to a federally mandated Monroney window sticker is completely illegal under the Automobile Information Disclosure Act. [1, 2] * The Text Timestamps: John ghosted me on Saturday afternoon--not Sunday--when I texted at 1:10 PM and 1:39 PM asking for the name of the warranty. He never replied. * The 6-Month Contract Lie: Your manager explicitly told me the financing contract required me to keep the loan open for 6 months before paying it off. That is false. Texas law prohibits auto finance contracts from penalizing early prepayment. Your manager only claimed it was in the contract to protect the dealership from losing its finance kickback commission. * The Hidden Invoice: If the invoice was legitimate, please explain why your manager strictly forbade me from taking a smartphone photo of it. I didn't write this to debate you. I wrote it to warn other buyers. I went to Kia South Austin, skipped the games, and had my exact car and wholesale warranty sorted out in 24 hours. Your facilities are top-notch, Ben, but your sales team's transparency needs to catch up.

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE!!!…read more I purchased a 2023 vehicle from this dealership for $17,500. The car seemed fine, and I thought I was getting a decent deal. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Less than a month later, the vehicle broke down and was leaking oil everywhere. I had it towed back to their service department, where I was told the high-pressure fuel pump had failed and that my warranty would cover the repair. A week later, the story changed. Now they claimed a bolt holding the fuel pump in place was broken and that they would need to lower the engine to remove it. Conveniently, that repair was not covered under warranty. When I questioned whether the bolt could have been broken during their own repair attempt, I was basically told to "take their word for it" that they didn't do it. They had no proof whatsoever. In the end, I was forced to pay another $3,300 out of pocket for what they called a "discounted" labor charge. After another week, they called and said the vehicle was ready. I picked it up and drove away. Less than five miles later, the check engine light came on. I immediately brought it back. Now, suddenly, I'm being told I need a catalytic converter and another $1,800 repair that also isn't covered. Funny how there were no catalytic converter codes, no check engine lights, and no issues before they had possession of the vehicle for weeks. But somehow, after thousands of dollars in repairs and less than five miles of driving, a completely different major repair is now needed. What makes it even worse is that throughout this entire process, I was repeatedly reminded that if I had purchased the extended warranty they were trying to sell me, I wouldn't have had to pay these costs. It felt less like customer service and more like a sales pitch after the fact. This dealership is great at selling cars. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. The service department has been the most frustrating, expensive, and disappointing experience I've ever had with a vehicle purchase. Thousands of dollars later, I still don't have confidence in the car, and all I seem to get in return is another repair bill and an apology for the inconvenience.

I've bought three cars from Round Rock Nissan and have not been happy. However, I am disappointed with something that happened in the service of my vehicles. I brought in two Nissan Rogues one a 2021 with 65,000 miles and one a 2022 with 30,000. They serviced the older first. I received input of things that needed to be done including the brake fluid changed because it was dark in color. Given the color I went ahead and changed it. However, I was surprised and dismayed when the exact same thing was said of my newer vehicle. I feel like I was scammed and this is just something your techs say of the cars. While possible, it is highly unlikely that both had this given the mileage. This makes me distrust their service department and feel taken advantage of. That's a shame as I live near them. There should not be a common statement such as this on cars. I might have shifted my service to them all but with this I am questioning it. So be careful if using them for service.

I don't normally leave a review like this while a repair is still ongoing, but the dealership's…read moreresponse has been bad enough that I think prospective customers should know about it. Our 2024 Nissan Rogue suffered a catastrophic engine failure at approximately 35,000 miles. Group 1 Nissan Cedar Park has had it since August 10 and determined that the complete long block needs to be replaced under warranty. It's now August 26. The engine is backordered with no ETA, and this is our household's only vehicle. I asked the dealership for help with transportation. I was told there are 12 customers waiting for loaners and that other customers are currently waiting for the same replacement engine I am. The alternative offered was for me to pay for an open-ended rental myself and then file a claim with Nissan afterward, with no guarantee I'd actually be reimbursed. So I escalated the issue to the General Manager. What happened next honestly floored me: a sales manager called and asked if I wanted to trade the Rogue in and buy another vehicle. I explained that after spending roughly $45,000 on a two-year-old Nissan that needs an entire engine at 35,000 miles, I no longer trusted Nissan enough to buy another one. He kept selling. I was told the 2026 models don't have the same engine problem. Think about that for a moment. I'm trying to figure out how my family is going to have transportation while our two-year-old Nissan sits at their dealership indefinitely waiting for an engine, and the response to my escalation is an attempt to sell me another Nissan. I'm not a sales lead. I'm the customer you already have. I understand that the dealership didn't manufacture the engine, and I understand that they can't magically make a backordered engine appear. What they can control is how they take care of a customer when something like this happens. So far, they haven't. I'll update this review when this is resolved, for better or worse.

Back in 2010, I wrote, "To be honest, I would rather have a tooth pulled than deal with a used car salesman." Well, at Apple, there is no tooth pulling! There's no high-pressure sales approach here. Every vehicle on their lot is high-end, clean, and mechanically sound. They offer fair trade-in values, include a free drivetrain warranty, and provide a very reasonably priced extended warranty plan. Best of all, they don't tack on any of those unnecessary add-ons you often see at other dealerships. On this most recent visit, I worked with Corey (sales) and Mike (sales manager), and it was by far the easiest car-buying experience I've ever had. From the moment I found the exact make and model I was dreaming of on their website, I knew I had to act fast. Calling them up, I was immediately greeted by Duane, whose friendliness and personable approach instantly put me at ease. This being my first time buying from a dealership, I had my reservations, but Duane made the entire process feel straightforward and honest. What heightened my sense of urgency was hearing through the grapevine that someone else was interested in the same vehicle but wasn't ready to make the purchase. Knowing this, I felt an immediate push to secure the vehicle that very day. This sense of competition added an extra layer of excitement and determination to my car buying journey. The excitement to see the car in person drove me to make a 40-minute trip north, and it was worth every second. Upon arrival, my decision was cemented - I had to have that car that day. What impressed me the most was the transparency with which Duane presented my financing options, a refreshing change from the usual sales tactics. During the inevitable wait for bank feedback, Janie's thoughtfulness in offering snacks and water was a small but significant gesture that made the experience more comfortable. Then, Juan took over to discuss the next steps, insurance, and warranty details with such clarity and openness, it reassured me I was making the right decision. Despite the dealership nearing closing time, and my needing to manage logistical hurdles to drop off my mom's car and return, Janie and Juan assured me they'd wait, no matter how long it took. This level of commitment and understanding from a dealership was unexpected and deeply appreciated. My mom, too, was delighted by the kindness and professionalism shown by Janie over the phone. Finalizing the paperwork was smooth, filled with friendly banter and laughter with Juan, marking a perfect end to the day. I can't express enough gratitude towards Apple Leasing for their genuine approach, making sure their customers are not only satisfied but also well-informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. Their willingness to go the extra mile, ensuring we didn't have to juggle multiple cars home, was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience.
