From getting a quote to seeing the project through each step of the way, Kimbra and the work crew were responsive, professional, easy to talk to, and so helpful in answering all my questions. We decided to finally renovate our backyard since it had no shade or anything (and given the timing, we're at home a lot these days). They built a beautiful cedar pergola, laid concrete, and they even built a special request - gymnastics bars for my daughter. We absolutely love and greatly appreciate them working with a unique request. My family, especially my daughter, is so happy about it. I found out about Texas Backyard Living because they were in a couple of those "Best Pick Reports" / 5-star rated handbooks for Collin County / Plano ... and I see why. I checked around a few other well-rated backyard companies in the area -- Texas Backyard Living had the best pricing and was also the most responsive. After meeting with Kimbra, I received an estimate that evening. After getting on their schedule, the pergola and gym bars took 2 days, and the concrete took a few days, so everything went pretty quick. Their work and the overall process was fast, thorough, and beautiful. And, given the timing of this project, it was also nice that Kimbra and the work crew maintained social distancing and mask guidelines during our interactions. This company is outstanding! We looked at SO many different companies to get our new fence, and a pergola we wanted built over our back patio. My husband and I are very picky, and out of all the companies we met with, this one stuck out immediately.Their work is beautiful, and the quality of the materials they use are awesome, well worth the money spent! The biggest factor that led us to choose them was our project manager, CHRIS SEWERD! From the first time he came to our home to give us a quote, he was prepared, and answered every single question and concern we had. He took the time to go over our options, do measurements, and even bringing samples of the woods they use, and the stains. Through the rest of the project, he was exceptional! We went through several decision changes during the process, and he was there for us, answering every call, and changing quotes overnight for us. More than several times! Even up to the day when they were almost finished with our fence, and we had to change the height of one section because of our HOA, he got to work and made it happen! He has been so patient with us, and made sure we were happy with every detail from the first day, all the way until the day the project was done. He TRwas fantastic! Jason was the project manager and of all the bids we received, he was the only one to additionally include several lower priced options; I noticed that all bids from other companies bid the most expensive choice only. It set the tone for a very honest and professional experience. Jason also went above and beyond working with the Dallas Permit Office to push for approval of the plan. Once work started, we had two crews, one for a new fence, led by Miguel, and a separate crew to build a new stain & stamp cement porch, led by Marcos. I had my backyard fence replaced after a recent storm. I received three estimates for replacement of the fence. Texas Backyard Living was the least expensive estimate. I had the pleasure of dealing with Kyle Jamieson from Texas Backyard Living. He showed up on time to inspect the fence. He gave me a quote within two days and said that his company could begin the work within 1-2 weeks. Other companies were more expensive and could not begin work until 5-6 weeks later. Kyle answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable about fence construction. I was surprised when they called me to let me know that they could begin the work immediately! Kyle, the sales/project manager, did an excellent job understanding the requirements and budget for our new back yard fence. His communications were always very clear and to the point. Carlos, Jesus and the rest of the crew were fantastic. There was a lot of thick brush that needed to be cleared for the back part of the fence to be installed. This was a huge task that they completed on the first day and removed it all before leaving. We hired Kimbra and her team to demo an old fence and install a new, 8' wooden fence, with a sliding double gate and two pedestrian gates. The fence looks absolutely fabulous! Our neighbors actually keep stopping and complimenting us on it. The crew was thorough and actually finished a day early. They cleaned up after themselves and were always professional. Since our gate is hardwired in and has emergency battery power, we were one of the only houses that didn't have issues getting our cars out during the recent power outages. The crew did a great job. One thing I noticed and appreciated was their efforts to clean up the outstide of the fence (my neighbor's view). When our neighbors had their fence installed (by Texas Backyard Living) the crew left a terrible mess outside the fence (my view). Mounds of dirt and river rock and stones.
