I had to call to see if they were coming. (That happened 3 times). If I would have worked with Nikki, rather than Michelle, I believe things would have gone smoother. The installer damage a cabinet because they did not remove all the screws from the countertop before removing it. They could not get a replacement cabinet so the installer had a 'friend' try to repair the cabinet which was unsuccessful. Other problems include poor application of caulking, spaces between the granite, and complete disrespect to my wife. And all this after I prevented their equipment from being stolen - they left all their hand and power tools on the curb where someone was loading them into their own truck until I notified the installers. Unlike other fabricators, TSP provided a choice of edge designs at no additional cost. Their removal of the old counters did not damage existing cabinets or walls. Juan and his team worked with us to minimize seams and demonstrated skill in fabrication, delivery, and installation. The stainless sink we selected was of a heaver gauge than some offered by other area companies. We shopped for our own granite at several stone yards. We used Shenoy on Research Blvd. in Austin, also a very customer-oriented business. We were pleased with Juan and his easy going personality. My son is doing a science project, and he decided to do a comparison on the burning times of different woods. That's all well and good, but where do you find little chunks of five or six different types of wood? After some calls, I was steered towards cabinetmakers and luckily called Terry. He was incredibly kind on the phone and had us swing by his shop the next day to pick up some wood pieces. His shop is huge, and he's been there since '84, so one can only assume he really knows what he's doing. We got there this morning, and he already had six different pieces of wood picked out for us with the type of wood written right on it. This kind act (and the fact that his shop was quite impressive and he's been doing it 30 plus years) is absolutely enough for me to know that when we redo our cabinets, Terry is the guy we'll be calling. The problem with this excuse is that 1/ They never communicated that to me and 2/ That's the excuse you want to go with for not doing something you said you would? Seriously. Rocks were just dumped over the lights and no correction was made. They didn't even attempt to correct the issue but rather sent me nasty emails when I held back $300 of a $11k project. DO NOT USE THIS LANDSCAPING COMPANY. If, for no other reason, they just don't take ownership for their mistakes and wipe their hands of the entire matter.
