Wow! It all started with a12' Octagon Gazebo with five benches in March of 1992 when I built my new Custom Home. This Amish designed and built Gazebo has served our family with outstanding enjoyment for over 21 years until a little windstorm hit it. I contacted Home Place Structures who originally built it and met with Karla Gilbreath and her Father and President Sam Smucker for repair or replacement advise. Mr. Smucker came out and advised he would love to sell me a new Gazebo, however that was not necessary and they could repair it a lot cheaper. Their repair was excellent and even came with a five year limited warranty. They were also the best estimate I received for all the work completed. My Gazebo looks like a new one. They replaced the roof and cupola, repaired benches, pressure washed and stained the entire structure just to mention a few things they did. I felt so comfortable working with Karla and the team from the very beginning, this is a well run family business - personalized service at it's best. I knew what I was looking for and they made it happen. We found a set that I liked and then added a few modifications to include all that I wanted. I love that they took the perspective of my children who would be using it to ensure it met their needs - my kids love it! Even in the cold I can't get my kids to come in now and it's amazing how they start playing with old toys again too - quality investment. We purchased a Colonial 8x8 building and Melanie (Sales Rep.) was excellent at showing us models and explaining all the details. She helped us pick colors for the sides and shingle for the roof. They scheduled the on-site build for a time that was convenient for us. Joe (Installer) even called to let us know that they were in route. The install went great and took only 3-1/2 hours. They also left the work area clean. We were allowed to fully inspect the building and Joe explained the doors, locks and warranty. Two days after the install, we received a thank you letter and a copy of the warranty with the final invoice details. Next summer we are going to have HomePlace put in a gazebo. I went to Homeplace Structures and the manager/owner was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed. He came 2 or 3 times to my home to measure the area because I kept changing my mind as to where I wanted to place the structure. The whole time he was so patient and didn't charge me a penny for coming out. I gave him a deadline of when I needed my structure and he did everything possible to get it to me on time.
