We ordered the pulled pork, sausage, chili, and corn on the cob, and every bite was phenomenal. When I complimented the owners, they kindly brought over a rib for me to try. Up until that moment, I would've bet good money that I didn't like ribs. Turns out I just hadn't met the right rib. The food was incredible, but the owners were even better. Genuine, welcoming, salt-of-the-earth people who make you feel less like a customer and more like a guest at their table. Finding BBQ this good in Maine feels like spotting a longhorn in a moose yard. If you're anywhere near the Moosehead Lake region, make the trip. Walk past the bar and on the right is a dining area with a lot more tables. We had 2 kids and 4 adults and we had plenty of room at a center table. There were booths along the wall. Our server was so great. So patient, and kind. She was great. She checked in regularly, our drinks never went dry. The food was excellent. We had the food for take out during the pandemic and thought it was ok. Having it in the restaurant - HUGE difference. I got the cheese curd burger without the top bun.
