We've done the tours in Houston, then Dallas, then Houston. Learned a ton along the way and liked Yellow Rose so much I've gone back there myself, with my wife and again with my parents. The 3 breweries on the Woodlands tour were awesome.... just first rate product. AND our tour guide had quarters (complimentary!!) for Brash's game section, which put it over the top for me. Next time I'll be sure to tip the bartenders a bit more, which is something I didn't really do enough of on the first tours. We stayed overnight in the Woodlands, which has nothing to do with the beer tour, but made for a great get away weekend with no worry of driving. Texas Beer Bus provides a discount rate with Uber, which is another way to eliminate any concern with driving. The glasses and drink tokens were plentiful. The other folks on the tour were quite a fun group. I'd like to do the Conroe tour next. I had no idea there were 3 top rate breweries in that area. read more

We booked a the Katy Triple Winery Tour online for May 11. We got a confirmation. We have received no additional correspondence. The meet up location simply states Houston Katy Area. I just have to give a shout out to my 40 new best friends that I met on this tour....we had a blast and now we are all facebook best friends. This tour is the one and only way to have a good time on a Saturday. Not only do you get to go to breweries and distilleries, you get a VIP experience with the brewers themselves via a tour. They have an insight into all of the beers you are tasting at their brewery that gives you an appreciation for what they do. I have been on the Katy/Sugarland Tour twice, and I had a blast each time. The owner is awesome, and so are the tour guides. Very easy to talk to,and they try to get everyone involved in the tour. If you are new to Houston or even if you have lived here your whole life, this tour is needed in your life. read more

Fantastic tour! Visited three breweries that are out of town so I never would have checked them out on my own. Lone Pint was the highlight of my tour. Nothing beat Yellow Rose fresh from the tap. Enjoyed a private tour and three beers at each brewery (Lone Pint, Southern Star, and Copperhead for my tour) and left with souvenir glasses. If you like to drink, but don't want to worry about getting around then this is a perfect tour. read more

After visiting Beerfeast in Glaveston, we purchased tickets from the vendor at the show. I honestly thought that the sales lady was over hyping the tour. My husband and I did the distillery and brewery tour. I am the first to quickly say that this was the best time and this experience was beyond my expectation. We enjoyed the hard liqour, especially the infused pineapple vodka. The two brewery stops were a surprise as they offerred a variety of different beers. I was surprised how delicious the vanilla mocha beer and holy funshine would taste. Im glad that I tired new drinks. Everyone boarded the bus as strangers but towards the end everyone became new friends. I would definitely take another tour. read more

I had a great time on my first Texas Beer Bus trip! I will definitely be going again soon! The bus picked everyone up at a designated location and we all got in and rode to 3 different breweries! Terrible. Disorganized. Very disorganized. After paying for a group of 4 upfront months in advance I was asked for another $20 per person due the day of the tour. Then we were told we got an hour at each place but that wasn't true-the first stop was 30 minutes. We all had to get our 3 tastings in quick and they fed us pizza hut-which was thrown on tables randomly which was also gross cause there were no utensils and people were touching the pizza to tear off slices. We only had one real tour as only one place talked about their product and how they make it. I could have just paid for an Uber and had a much better experience and better food visiting the breweries on my own. I invited friends to come and frankly it was embarrassing. $200 for this is a rip off. read more

We had fun on the bus. It was fun to meet new people and drink beer with them and I went to new place that I probably would have never visited I I hadn't taken the tour. It was also nice to be able to get out of the heat and cool off in the bus. But I'm the kind of person that would rather get to one brewery and stay there the whole time. The tastings at the breweries weren't included in the price of the tour. We had a 1/2 off discount on the tour, but I'm still not sure if it was worth price. I probably won't be doing the beer bus tour again. read more

Texas Beer Bus DOES NOT TIP THE BREWERY STAFF!!! For the insane price that they charge they stiff the bartenders with no tip or if you're lucky a 10% tip! Plus they bring people to your establishment HAMMERED! It makes being a responsible bartender very difficult. If you are going to take this brewery tour please be nice to your bar staff, they work very hard for your pleasure and this company DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM! read more

What a great way to do breweries on a Saturday without having to drive. Tons of fun on the bus, full size pint glasses at each brewery with 3 refills, plus VIP treatment. From the Richmond area and didn't even know Texian existed until we visited the brewery, and they opened up just for the beer bus. Highly recommend. read more

Took the Katy/ sugarland brewery tour. Absolutely miserable. Bus a/c completely insufficient, which led to people stealing each other's seats on the bus, and a complete lack of tolerance on the bus for those more uncomfortable than others. In the end, $150 per person for $50 worth of beer tours, including only two actual breweries, with a miserable ride in between. Thanks... but, no thanks. read more

Purchased a specially priced ticket at the Home and Garden show in Austin. The marketing woman stressed how they run every weekend in Austin. Did not know they were already booked the next 3 months and they rotate the tours, beer tour is only once a month. She sold it like you could go every weekend. She outright misled us. I have been trying to get my money back with no luck. Avoid them like the plague folks, no matter what the price. read more

This company is rated 1/5 stars due to the following seedy business practices: 1) This company lists 5 star Yelp reviews on their website that are listed as "not recommended" on Yelp and do not actually have a rating. 2) We were told that all fees were covered, and then had an additional fee sprung on us when we arrived. 3) We were not given clear instructions on where to meet up, and the tour guide was unprofessional when contacted for assistance. ---------- I attended the Woodlands tour this past weekend after being pressured into buying vouchers by the owner at a recent beer festival. He "cut us a deal" at 3 vouchers for $99. This seemed to be a reasonable price. The meet-up location on our tickets gave the address for the entire Market St. shopping center in the Woodlands. I called the contact number, and was not given any assistance in finding the group. We eventually found the bus at the other end of the shopping center. When we found the group, we were informed that we had to pay an additional $17 cash to cover tastings/tours (even though the owner had assured us that our registration fee covered everything). We were apparently supposed to have received an email with this information, but after searching several times we were only able to find the email that contained our actual tickets. We had a pretty good time once the trip finally began. We visited Southern Star Brewing, Big Thicket Distillery, and Copperhead Brewing. The "tour guide" payed our fees for us in cash when we arrived at each location. The breweries did not always seem to be aware that the tour group was going to be visiting, but we enjoyed each stop. All in all, I would not pay (especially not "full price") for a bus just to be driven to breweries that were an additional cost. I would rather save the money, visit on my own, and be able to spend more than 45 minutes at each stop. read more

Great concept but poor execution in my opinion. The bus was nice but they blared the music where you could barely speak to the person next to you. Several requests to turn it down a tad but rejected. No information or details given about where we were stopping. One was a brewery and were given no instructions on how long we were to be there, when a tour of the brewery was available or when to return to the bus. Was told we can not drink on the bus but the tour guide decided to drink his wine on the bus when heading back to the Katy drop off. That was a slap in the face. Also, not impressed with no idea of where we were going until days before we left. I would have liked to visit a distillery or something different but these details are not provided a head of time. Very disappointed and would not do again. Several of us spoke about getting a limo or mini charter of our own which would have been cheaper. Again, expected a little education about where we were going but more of a drop off tour and learn on your own. Won't do again. read more

How in the world does this just have 2 -1/2 stars? We just went this past Saturday (6 total ppl) and we all said we will be doing it again. We went to the Yellow Rose Distillery, Karbach Brewery, and Buffalo Bayou Brewery. Chris was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and humorous. Neil was always e-mailing before the tour and afterwards he called to make sure we had a great time. Most tours just let you go on your way and don't even check up on you like he did. The bus that you go on is a charter bus and the beer bus provides you with snacks and water which you will need. We started off at the Yellow Rose and their "tasting room" had some awesome drinks. Also the tour was really fascinating. Karbach as always has great beer and for it being our first time there, that will most likely be a new hang out every now and then. Buffalo Bayou Brewery was definitely on point with their Bananas Foster brew and More Cow Bell brew. The funniest thing is when you first start the tour nobody really talks to each other except for who you went with...after the second place, it becomes a fun atmosphere and everyone is opening up and laughing after a little liquid courage. I have never done a yelp review in my life but felt like this up and coming business was one that I didn't even have to think twice to comment on. I have no clue why one would give two stars knowing that it was tour but then again who am I to judge? If you want to try new places anywhere from an 1-1/2 to 2 hours at each place then this is your cup of tea. GREAT TIME! read more
