Club has favourites. At the expense of the other kids. Based on years worth of tuition, not potential.

Had to wait 30 minutes to get my test results bc the person working the front desk left the office…read moreWhile people were STILL TESTING! Bad experience. Very unprofessional.

I came to take a licensing exam for TX Personal Lines (Insurance)…read more My exam was set to begin at 9 AM with instructions to arrive at 8:30 AM. I arrive at said time to find the center locked and lights off. An employee walked in at 8:50 AM. She seemed hurried and frustrated and didn't acknowledge us from the beginning. She then had troubles logging in into to the computer. She was on the phone with IT while a fellow test taker attempted to help her download new software for the computer. This took about 2 hours. Once she was logged in, she signed in a few of us. Then she went to turn on the computer for the actual testing itself. Same problem. Now she's on the phone with IT again and we wait another hour before we can get going with the exam. 3 hours have now passed and I finally sit to take my exam. Mind you others have travelled over an hour to come take this exam, taken off work, ect. These tests are not easy and we have been studying for a long time to hopefully pass. Imagine the stress of the exam plus the frustrations of not being able to potentially take it when you thought you would. Not the most ideal situation. I finish the exam and I am told to not save anything, answer the two surveys and they will print my results. Remember the software update? Well, because it updated they cannot find the app they normally use to print my results. Who knows if I passed or failed. Now it is a different representative that ensures me I can call Pearson (the company that I took the test with) and they will have my results. This is not the case as the exam is still showing scheduled on their end. He told me he cannot send me results unless he restarts the computer which would kick everyone still testing out of their tests. The only solution is to wait or have them MAYBE email/text me my results end of day. Fingers crossed I passed and the score registered. I am really disappointed by the lack of empathy or really concern to address the issues. I understand some of this is IT related but this location seemed extremely unorganized. When I called the phone number on file I spoke with someone who allegedly had no idea what I was talking about as he worked at a different location. I asked why that number was listed for this location and he responded with I don't know and gave me the direct line to the Plano location. These tests are big deals to those taking them and the employees disregarded us completely. This experience is a 180 compared to all other testing I've taken before: MCAT, SAT, ACT, ect. I hope others do not encounter the same issues. I recommend staffing more than one person and also better preparing your staff for general operations. If the appointment is at 9 AM and people should arrive at 8:30 AM, the building should be open and ready to go.

We both enjoyed going to class together each week - parents get to participate, too! Ms. Tan is really fabulous with young kids and knows how to make things fun, develops their love and appreciation for music, and keeps everyone on task and engaged. In the Music Wonderland level, they learn musical concepts, ear training, solfège singing, and how to really listen to a piece of music and "hear" the story and feelings it's conveying. Some friends asked why I don't just teach my kids myself while they are little (I was / am trained in classical piano for over 15 years). I decided to bring my son here for the Yamaha curriculum, ear training, the fun, interactive group experience, and since he says he loves going to Ms. Tan's class each week. My son is excited to start the Junior Music Course Level 1 group piano class this upcoming school year!

The program is structured, fun and well-rounded, designed wonderfully for kids. Ms Tan and her teachers are very professional, patient and dedicated to nurture the musical soul in our little one. My in-laws are especially impressed by how quickly our son is able to play with both hands with musicality. My mom sent me to a Yamaha music school when I was young, so she is also super supportive and happy that we are giving our son the gift of music as well.

Yelp Review # 18…read more Music lessons are available for all age groups with timing starting at 30 minutes. The staff are kind and willing to answer any question you may have. I've recently taken violin lessons and when signing up their offer flexibility when scheduling your lessons. Teacher bios can be found on their website and day of sessions can be booked as long as staff is available.

Facility - 4/5 Teacher - 4/5…read more Policy - 1/5 Bad experience we got - 0/5 So we've been a customer for more than 3 years, maybe more. My 2 girls take private piano lessons here. Bad experience My kid's teacher was off, and we were given a sub teacher. This guy called Juan, wasn't patient with my girl and made her cry. Then after she cried, he just sat back and played with his phone. I DID NOT pay $40/ session just to have my kid cry and the teacher playing with cellphone. The owner Melody Ouyang was on vacation. The business manager apologized, but I never heard from the owner about the horrible experience. All they did was, to schedule another makeup class for my kid. But it was a terrible experience for my kid. Policy They have this ridiculous withdrawal policy, which is they charge $50/child when we want to withdraw kids from the school during Sept-July. No other schools has withdrawal charge like this. So on June 2, 2018 I was surprised to get a bill that charged me $164/kid for June tuition and another $189/kid for September tuition. Well, they said there's a $25/kid enrollment fee for 2018-2019 year and that I must pay Sept tuition to hold my kids' spots for 2018-2019. I said I'd like to withdraw my kids due to the bad experience we got (see above) and the business mgr said no refund for the amount we've already paid (September tuition) and when I pressed to move the Sept tuition to cover July, so I don't have to pay for July tuition, she kept saying she needed to get Melody Ouyang's permission (which Ouyang was gone on vacation for a long time, more than 2-3 weeks). I can't pull my kids in June/July, because they require a 30-day notice prior to 1st of each month. Long story short, I don't want Ouyang to come back and deny my request to move September tuition to cover July. If she declines in late June, then we must cram 9 lessons into 3 weeks. In July, they only have 3 weeks of lessons (due to Independence Day week). So before Ouyang comes back from vacation, I requested to just pay July tuition and cram 9 lessons into 5 weeks time. July lessons: 3 lessons plus September lessons 4, plus make up classes. They acted like they were giving me a favor and didn't charge me $50 withdrawal fee/kid (which I was told, that $50 fee is if I pull my kids during the school year). But I finished 2017-2018 year, from September 2017 to July 2018, so actually, there was no reason to charge me $50 withdrawal fee/kid in the first place. I am just appalled and disappointed after having been a loyal customer more than 3 years, to be treated like this. Never heard back from owner (Ouyang) personally. I sent her an email about the horrible experience and never heard back from her. I put my kids into the school because she's a Juilliard grad, but my kids were never once under her tutelage - understand Ouyang is very busy. So the fact that Ouyang is a Juiliard grad, doesn't help my kids' piano skills at all.
