The entire team of nurses and staff are all personable and highly professional. They have several physicians, so it's best to read the doctors' bios and request the one who resonates best with you/your kiddo(s). We personally LOVE Dr. Hathaway. She is so sweet, friendly, and has a great rapport with our little one. She is straightforward but also empathic & relatable. She is attentive & always listens to us and explains things thoroughly. Pro-vaccine, but conservative & never pushy with medication. We never feel rushed, and we don't wait long to see her either. There is plenty of parking, the lobby is spacious, and the facility is very clean & well-maintained. We have absolutely no complaints and have always felt so well taken care of here. This office sets the bar high for amazing & reliable medical service.

She takes the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options to parents. Dr. Hathaway genuinely cares about her patients as individuals. Dr. Powellson was in NO way friendly, welcoming, comforting, or helpful. He was, instead;rude, argumentative, interrupting, judgemental, cold, and dismissive. He was entirely focused on my mental health diagnosis-which was NOT why I was there-and treated my physical health, as well as some important concerns I tried to communicate, as an afterthought. The room was cold, sterile, uncomfortable, and so is Dr. Powellson. I was immediately put off and defensive with his demeanor, and his lack of focus on my physical health rather than my mental- he seemed to form an opinion when I told him my diagnosis- was confusing and frustrating. I jave a lump in my abdomen and another in my pelvis that he NEVER EXAMINED, or asked about them after I mentioned it. I felt judged, as though Dr Powellson has a bias about people with BPD. The building and the lobby made me want to turn around as soon as I got there, and Dr. Powellson made me so uncomfortable; feeling judged and argued with, and frustrated, that I walked out of the appointment within 5 minutes of meeting and talking to him. At NO time did I feel like Dr Powellson cared about my physical concerns, or even HEARD them.This was just supposed to be a general physical and check-up, and Dr. Powellson made it the most uncomfortable, unpleasant, and awful appointments I have ever had.

Called to schedule an appointment for newborn. On the phone, they ask insurance type which I provided. Appointment scheduled over the phone and I receive a text stating that I need to submit a copy of the insurance which I do. Appointment confirmed via text. I arrived at the office and they asked if I was paying out of pocket. I said I provided it via text. They said, "we sent you a text stating that we don't accept that insurance." I'm looking at the text, no text ever sent. I said they did not. They also asked me over the phone what insurance my newborn had, and proceeded to schedule the appointment. If I was out-of-network, wouldn't you have told me then on the phone and not went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Being out-of-network seems rather important. Why would you send something like that over a text message? That seems like something warranting a call (especially considering you shouldn't have booked the appt initially). But front office doesn't do that because they're rude and lazy. As I'm walking out the door and looking at the text messages between the office and myself, the front office girl then back talks and says, "oh we definitely sent a text." Avoid the lazy, incompetent front office they have employed.

Finally found First Physicians and loved the place during our first visit. Dr. Beaty is amazing. He takes time in knowing his patients, you are not rushed neither are you to leave the facility feeling diminished. There's no experimentation is any of his treatments, he is to the point and will call you on what you shouldn't be doing. He gives his best and expects his patients to follow through, otherwise, what's the point in seeking his medical advise and consult if neither patients/parents heeds to his advise. He has an excellent sense of humour! We love visiting this place I recommend to this facility and the treating physicians in this practice. I will recommend

Additional Update 4/17/26: I had an echocardiogram scheduled today and arrived 10 minutes early…read more Despite that, I waited an additional 20 minutes past my appointment time. I also asked multiple times about the cost of the visit, and no one was able to provide a clear answer. At that point, I decided to leave, I'm not going to wait close to an hour for a practice that doesn't prioritize patient care or communication. To make matters worse, I am still waiting on my lab results. They confirmed the results were received on the 8th, yet I have not received any follow-up or evaluation. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, and I would recommend considering another provider. Previous Update: I previously left a review for New Wave Physicians Group and, unfortunately, I'm updating it again out of frustration. In my original review, I mentioned that my experiences with Dr. Carder and Dr. Troung were positive, they were both professional, attentive, and helpful during my visits. However, I also noted ongoing issues with the front office staff, and those problems have only gotten worse. It is extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone. Calls often go unanswered, and when someone does pick up, it feels like a rare occurrence. I've had to call repeatedly at different times of the day just to speak with someone, and on multiple occasions I've been placed on hold and then disconnected. More concerning is what happened after my most recent appointment with Dr. Carder. I went in for serious symptoms, had an EKG performed, and completed lab work. I specifically asked how I would receive my results and what the next steps would be regarding treatment or medication. I was told I would receive a phone call, but that never happened. After calling over 50 times, I finally reached someone who informed me that my results had been available for quite some time but had not even been reviewed. I also followed up on a sleep study that was discussed during my visit, only to find out it had not been submitted. The medications I was told would be prescribed were never sent to the pharmacy either. On top of all of this, I still don't have access to the patient portal. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance from the office staff, no one has been able to help me get it set up. These issues have been ongoing and are now affecting my ability to receive timely care. At this point, I feel like I've given this office more than enough chances and will likely be looking for a new provider.

As we were talking I mentioned that when I picked him up from his mother, he was unsteady on his feet (he's a toddler) and BOOM that simple phrases changed everything. Even though there was no bruising or other signs of a bone fracture or trauma or abuse she demanded that I immediately take him to the emergency wing for a skeletal XRay to check for fractures. I refused and left. She then notified CPS and a case worker appeared at my home. The case worker examined the child, determined no signs of fractures, bruising, abuse & the living conditions & food availability were not an issue. We thought that would be the end of things, but we were wrong The bluefish doctor had told CPS that a complete skeletal x-ray needed to be done to close the case. The problem is bluefish, never issued any orders for the x-rays Today when we called in to get the orders we are told that the Doctor is not on duty today and we will have to wait for another doctor to finish their rounds to take care of this. In the meantime, CPS is pressuring us as to why we haven't taken the child to get x-rays This is preposterous. We took a child in for a routine examiner examination because he was running a slight fever and vomiting. Apparent saying that the child appeared a little unsteady triggered some kind of institutionalized CPS response in the medical community. This is outrageous. CPS should never have been involved. As I write this, I am still waiting for bluefish to get back to me with orders for an x-ray or to call CPS and tell them that the x-rays are not necessary If you choose to take your child to this group, be careful what you say, it may trigger a call to CPS merely by conveying a valid concern.

While we've moved out of the Woodlands to north of Conroe, we still make the drive to his office. Dr Abusharr is a "PHYSICIAN" in the truest meaning of the profession. He listens, cares, and treats. He actually remembers our names, our ailments, and monitors our treatments and procedures. I'll never go anywhere else for our family GP.
