Warning: Extreme Meat Fest ahead!!!! Phew! Now that I've mopped up my meat sweats, 24 hours later, I'm ready to weigh in on what I think about TDB. 1. Amazingly prepared meats. 2. Amazingly prepared meats. 3. Amazingly prepared meats. The meat here is the bomb. It is salty, but that's actually how I like it. The house special, a wonderfully tender and rare Brazilian Picanha (I still have no idea what I'm saying or spelling) was the best. Perhaps some of the best meat I've ever eaten. The filet and bacon wrapped filet were great too. I also liked the beef rib, which had a wonderful tender, moist (this word doesn't bother me) pot roast taste. I didn't care for the flank steak, any of the sausages, any of the lamb, any of the pork, or the chicken. For $45, I did not come here to eat flank steak. Or sausage. And the lamb tasted gamey to me, but I think that's just lamb. I don't like it. The salad bar was decent. I actually liked the little sushi pieces. I also liked the smoked salmon, wine sautéed mushrooms, and salad with house made ranch dressing. And the Brazilian potato salad was yum! As were the garlic mashed potatoes that are brought to the table. Things I didn't like: the lobster bisque. We each got a bowl of this and once our meat fest started, it was totally ignored. I didn't really care for it regardless though. Tasted like thick lobstery liquid cheese. Blech. I also didn't like the au gratin potatoes. They were cold! I never got around to tasting the beans, but I wish I had. Everything else was merely existent but not really notable. Here's the thing, once that wild meat bonanza strikes up, you're inundated with meat offerings from all directions. So the salad bar stuff just gets ignored. Like I said, for $45 I'm not going to fill up on nonsense. I want the premium cow parts. This is also a low-carb dieters dream restaurant. Tons of low/no carb options and loads of protein. Those prone to gout, or light eaters, should avoid TDB altogether, unless you're a masochist or you have a lot of excess cash to burn. One family member of mine opted out of this meat fest because this person is terribly prone to gout. Red meat and shellfish, as well as dark leafy greens are full of purines, which cause gout. Don't say you weren't warned! Once a year, TDB can be fun. Beyond that, you'll be glad you're at the mall so you can buy bigger pants. Truly, I'd rather spend $45 on a really good steak dinner at a really good steak place, but if you're into various meats you should try this at least once while it's still in Buffalo! read more

My boyfriend and I brought my parents here for dinner. It was all of our first time coming. I was able to make and modify my reservations online, which I love. The Walden Galleria isn't my favorite place to be. In fact I tend to avoid it but we've all been wanting to try this place out! It is separate from the mall, which makes it more tolerable. The parking here is always atrocious. We ended up doing valet which still took forever. There was only one guy working the stand. I felt bad for him, he was running around like crazy and still couldn't keep up. We waited about ten minutes for valet parking. When we got in the restaurant the hostess seated us right away. We were seated in the dining room area. We were all very happy about this. There is seating in the salad bar room but it was extremely crowded and loud. The room our table was in was quiet and much more enjoyable. Our waitress spoke extremely quiet. She was explaining how the restaurant operated but almost all of us didn't hear what she was saying. Regardless, we went up to the salad bar. The salad bar is amazing. I would definitely recommend coming here even just for the salad bar. It has many options. The salmon was delicious. There is sushi, which i didn't try, but heard was very good. The soup of the day was lobster bisque and it was very tasty! I would have preferred it a tad warmer but it was still delicious! The waitress brought over cheesy rolls to go with our salads. I only had one and didn't enjoy it. They are small and all I could taste was salt. Once we were finished with the salads, we flipped over our cards for the meat to start. It was almost instantly that it started to arrive at the table. They don't mess around! My favorites were the parmesan crusted filet and the flank steak. Some of the table favorites were the sausage and the brisket. Everyone disliked the parmesan chicken. It was chewy and seemed undercooked. Our waiter, Brent, during dinner was absolutely terrific. We never had an empty glass of water. He consistently checked on the table and was so friendly and personable. Overall, we all enjoyed dinner! I think it was all extremely salty but I would still come back! One may wonder why I (a person who doesn't really eat a whole lot of meat) would go to a Brazilian steakhouse. Those kind of places are pretty much the last place I'd choose to go to. Well, I had been asked and asked and asked to go and I felt bad (why?) that I kept saying "no".... and when I was told that there was a HUGE salad bar and I didn't even have to have meat, I agreed. The place is swanky and the service is quite attentive. Dozens (it seemed) of "gauchos" with swords of flesh cooked "medium rare" (we were told) circle the dining-room in search of diners who have a little cardboard circle turned to green (as opposed to red.... as in traffic light "go" and "stop"). They then serve them hunks and slices and portions of filet and top round and flank steak and chicken and sausage and leg of lamb and pork chops. Round and round and round they go..... even attempting to serve their "catch" to those not eating meat and those with their discs on "red". They are very enthusiastic. Warm rolls and garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas (not plantains.... even the server agreed) are brought to the table as well (family style). The salad bar in the middle of the restaurant is quite attractive and has many, many choices. Typical fixings for sure, but also salmon (grilled and smoked) and sushi and salami and cheeses and olives and asparagus spears and shrimp and potato salad and couscous and at least half a dozen other items. Everything was marinated and seasoned (overly so) to the point that it all kind of tasted the same. There's a hot item table with soup and marinated mushrooms and potatoes au gratin and jasmine rice and black beans. The soup (lobster bisque) was luke-warm and lobster-less and so creamy and rich that it was practically inedible. The rice was still crunchy, and the black beans tasted like they were straight out of a can. Dessert is not included in the hefty price of $45 for meat eaters and $25 for those who eat only salad and sides. A tray was brought to the table to entice us. I laughed that the examples were all made of plastic. I ordered nothing, but my friend chose key lime pie. I did not laugh when I discovered that my tiny taste was as plastic-y as that on the tray with a thick covering of non-dairy whipped topping. People seem to love this place though. I mean, they rave about it and it's sometimes difficult to get a reservation. Maybe they are happy to gorge themselves like cavemen and embrace their inner carnivore. Maybe they liked the snappy costumes of the "gauchos". I'll pass on both. For me the best parts were the thinly sliced and cinnamon sprinkled pineapple at the salad bar..... and knowing that now that I've tried it, I don't have to go back. read more

This was a horrible experience from the time went hit the door had 6:15pm dinner reservations and had to wait 20 mins. Once seated turned card over to green expected to have the meats come out to our table immediately noticed they were only sending the less asked for meats every 20 mins. Ask server to send over Lamb or Prime an he would check back in 20mins still. No meats that we requested also requested the manager to table after 40 mins of dancing around and avoiding coming to the table he finally came over and spoke with me by then i was 2 hours in an only had 5to 6 meats only to find out that ribs was offered. By this time i am upset and ready to go service was really bad for the price of 180.00. Manager Tim needs to learn how to manage staff and keep customers happy before we have another failed business in Cheektowaga NY. read more

So I've tried Brasa across the border and now I've tried Texas De Brazil... both get two (2) stars from me. Why? Well... I'm basing it off of Yelp's star descriptors and two (2) stars = "Meh. "I've experienced better" and I've definitely experienced better. Let's get into it a bit shall we? The inside is well appointed with a very modern looking decor. They did a nice job of styling the inside... but they did a poor job of installing the layout. What I mean is that it's obvious that they are trying to cram as many tables into that building as possible which results in a cramped not so private dining experience. Without trying I was keyed in on 4 different conversations from other tables. Movement between the tables required "Madden All Pro" skills. The serve service area included some veggies and sides. But their salad options were very limited. A spring mix and some lettuce. A couple of cheeses and a handful of olives. The best thing about the area was the bowl of bacon they leave out. Otherwise, the options were very limited and not special in any way. One of my biggest qualms was that the rice was incredibly salty! Who salts their rice anyway? The meats were generally salty (though you can ask to have them bring out meat without salt) and average in terms of quality and taste. The meat here was better than Brasa but nothing earth shattering. The cut options were pretty average: Sirloin, Top Sirloin, Brazilian Sausage, Parmesan Chicken, Chicken with Bacon, Flank Steak, Leg of Lamb, and Filet... and maybe one or two more. One may be lead to think this equals variety but... I would have liked to see some rib eye, back rib, brisket, skirt, round, tri-tip and other cuts as well. At $45 a person... I do not think it's worth it. If this were... closer to $30... I may be tempted to up it a star or a half a star. We went because it was a special occassion but otherwise I don't see myself going here again. read more

So, you pay 44.99 per person here for all you can eat meats and the cold and hot bar. In my opinion, unless you haven't eaten in a week, you're going to come up.shkrt on that number. My son and I decided to give this restaurant another try. It has been 3 years now since my last visit and my experience was MUCH different....in a good way! He asked to come here for his birthday dinner so I of course took him and we were not disappointed. The meat was cooked exactly the way I asked this time and it was not as salty as before. There were many more options at the buffet too. The layout seemed to change as well giving patrons a LITTLE more elbow room. Now if you're fan of grilled meat and have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, I recommend you get some reservations and see what the experience is all about. I've been to quite a few already when I lived in Vegas, including a Texas De Brazil version there. While it is a chain restaurant, they offer a unique enough experience that it is worth your money. Last night was another great experience at their restaurant. I had reservations and got seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and very helpful in picking out some wine, even giving us a sample of a few before we picked. The food was amazing as usual. I picked up a few things from the salad bar and was impressed with what I did get. The wine sautéed mushrooms were excellent, along with the salmon and shrimp that I had. Also got a few cheeses and cured meats as well, but overall having been through the experience I knew to save room for the meat. The meats were excellent tonight as well. My favorite was the lamb chop., but the Brazilian and Garlic Picanha, along with the Flank steak were also standouts. Most of the meat is medium rare as it should be, but they do have some cuts cooked to medium for those with concern. Ultimately at $45 a plate it is a bit pricey, but if you feel like stuffing yourself on some red meat, as a treat for yourself or a loved one, it is a great deal. read more

I had gone to this restaurant a while ago and even though I enjoyed the whole experience since I am a meat lover, but I found most of the meats too salty. I decided to give it another chance last night, and now I am sure that I will never be going back. Everything was way too salty for me and everyone one else at our table. We knew that this is probably their trick so people can't go on eating a lot of meat. But it was ridiculous, we just kept asking for more water to wash down all the salt. Even the salad bar was a total disappointment. It had some good items but many of the items like the lobster bisque were (surprise!) salty as well. Let me put it this way. I'm glad I tried Texas De Brazil. But I probably won't go back unless I have a very generous coupon or certificate. It is quite expensive. The salad bar, while not huge, made up for in quality what it lacked in quantity. The romaine lettuce leafs were all fresh and green. The blue cheese dressing was about the best blue cheese I've ever had. The sushi, while not mind blowing, was very good for a buffet-type setting. Also, fresh mozzarella. All very good. Now on the meats. I tried most of them. The Brazilian sausage didn't taste any different from Hillshire Farms smoked Polish sausage. That's not a bad thing, but I did not pay for sausage. The flank steak was probably my favorite meat served. Now on to the bacon wrapped filet. The bacon tasted like a campfire. Now yes, I know that is the Brazilian style of preparation, but I'm not a fan of this flavor. The filet itself was very nice. Not impressed with parmesan crusted pork. The pork was dry and tough. My wife is a big fan of lamb and was not disappointed. I'm not a fan of lamb, but if you are, I think you would enjoy it. The service was fine. I had no issue with that, though I heard somebody complaining as we were exiting. Personally, for this price, I would be happier with a traditional steakhouse like Russel's, Buffalo Chophouse or E.B. This used to be my favorite place but I have noticed a steady decline. The salad bar is excellent. The selection of meats are very poor. I liked my steak well done or medium. I asked for this and after 45 minutes and asking twice I still was not served. Eventually I got some. The manager came around 5 minutes later ada d seemed to be giving a vibe of why are you still here? He asked if we wanted any other meats. I said fillet or bacon wrapped filet. He said they were out of it. I asked for the chicken wrapped in bacon he said sure. I waited and never got any . The waitress brought me the bill. I said I never got the chicken. She said they were out of it. Anyway another time I was there with my 8 year old son. There was a rumor children ate free. I kinda expected that because I had 8 others in my party. My kid only had two of the little cheese rolls they brought at the table. ( he is vegetarian) and they charged us the full price for the adult meal! Another time there were five of us. A friend met us but made it clear he was not eating. He grabbed one one inch piece of bacon off of my plate and the waitress charged us full price. Other problems I noticed. The lobster bisque had no lobster flavor or lobster. When I asked the waitress said yea it is cream of jalepeno or something. She said we are using it because it is cheaper and no one complains....except you! I have noticed it is very inconsistent as to how clean the place is. The bathrooms are always a trainwreck. 1st off, I'm a meat eater, and if you are as well this place is for you! All the meats are cooked mid rare and heavily salted, they will give you an option when you are 1st seated if you prefer lighter salted meat, which was nice, should be considered! The Lobster Bisque soup was also heavy salted but tasted good, the salad buffet was fresh, fill with cheeses and meats. The Potatoes au gratin while tasty was also very salty. See a pattern? I don't mind a heavy hand with seasoning but can see where others may. Service was good and the meat was coming fast & piping hot my favs were the flank steak, bacon wrapped filet, and the lamb chops, the table side mashed potatoes & fried bananas were also excellent. The only knock I had was it was loud inside even though it wasn't very crowded, think HS cafeteria loud. I went on a Monday with a reservation of 2 at 5:45pm. In the beginning, the restaurant was pretty empty, it was filled by 6:30pm. Our server was very nice, he made a 3 min presentation about how the buffet worked and the little sign you flip around to tell the carvers if you still want more meat or not. Despite that all the meat was way too salty on the outside, they were amazing. The restaurant offers around 10 different cuts of meat. Unlimited filet Mignon, lamb chop, Brazilian Picanha... it is a heaven for people who LOVE meat. Everything was cooked to medium rare and can be cooked to desired temperature. I've been to Texas de Brazil a few times. It's a once and a while type place. You really shouldn't need a reservation but just make one in case. It's easily done online. Anyways the salad bar is the best part in my opinion. I could go without the meat. The salad bar has many options from a variety of lettuces, artisan cheeses, smoked and cured meats, many salads (Israeli couscous, tomato, potato, etc), sushi, etc. There's a lot and it's all great. Oh and they have homemade dressings which are delicious. There's also a hot station with really good lobster bisque (missing the actual lobster meat though), au gratin potatoes, marinated mushrooms, etc. I could easily take a few trips to this salad bar and get my money's worth. The meat is good. There's so many options and you could try everything because they bring it to you in smaller portions. There's filet, rack of lamb, sirloin, parmesan crusted chicken, bacon wrapped filet, etc. It's very good and I like to top it all with the herb oil at the salad bar. Service is good. We came here Sunday night for Brad's birthday with his family, 5 people total. Everything was fine with making the reservation online and when we got there at 6:30, we were seated right away. The salad bar: I went in expecting a ton of different options and excited to see it. I was underwhelmed though. The salad looked fine, but it always does at salad bars. Some of the items were properly labeled, whereas others were not. I would give this 3 stars. I didn't eat much from the salad bar. The meat: This part was pretty cool. I had a ton of different things. My favorites being Leg of Lamb, Parmesan Chicken Drumettes, and Filet Mignon. I thought all the meat was very salty though. Which I guess is the way they cook it. During the end, people were asking "What meat haven't you had yet?" This was an issue because I had no idea! There should be a small menu listing all of the different meats so I can say "Oh, the sausage hasn't been over here yet!" When we got home, Brad and I pulled up the menu on the website and noticed 5 different meats that didn't come by out table. Bummer. Overall experience: I was underwhelmed. First time there, we can hardly wait to return! Well worth the price especially if you're a meat lover, and a great deal if you get the VIP card. Salad bar was open. Take a little on 1/3 of your plate, then happily await the delicious skewers of proteins to make their rounds. They deserve 6 stars, not just 5. My only regret is that I didn't find this gem sooner. We had a party of five. Was put in a corner with other large tables. At first they bombard you with meat then they dissappear. Only seen the filet guy because we had to ask our waitress. Never seen the leg of lamb. But the sausage guy was always around. I wanted beef lol. Not bacon wrapped chicken with a after taste. The Manger came around and kept insisting on taking our empty plates. It was very weird they where not even dirty. I even told her nobody is coming by with meat. She said she would send them and when they came they went to another table first and by the time they where done they had no meat left. This went on the rest of the night. I left unhappy not full and $300 lighter. I never once flipped my card to the red side. What's the point of the card? I wad so excited about going there as well was my dad's 77th birthday, and we wanted to do something nice and choosing Texas de brasil was a mistake. Texas de Brazil - Steakhouses Near Me - Buffalo, New York

My wife and I came here for our anniversary this past Monday. The experience started well upon entry and was made great thanks to our server, Gene. Gene happened to be training a new hire at the same time but he was probably the most thorough and attentive server I ever had. He explained where everything was, how the Brazilian steakhouse experience works, and checked up on us at the right time throughout the evening. The way he trained the new hire made it seem as though each table you are in front of is your most important table. He made us feel important for sure. The food was phenomenal. Our favorites were definitely the flank steak, lamb chops, Brazilian sausage, picanha, lamb pichana, and the filet. The only downfalls meat wise were the beef ribs and the pork ribs. Beef ribs looked such a mess and looked a little grey. The pork ribs were over sauced, all you could taste was the sweet sauce, not the actual meat. That was a once and done for both my wife and I. She couldn't even finish her rib. But everything else was seasoned perfectly and cooked to our liking. Make sure to sign up for their email club and they send out emails with deals at decent intervals so you are not inundated with emails. We definitely will be back again. I love the atmosphere, although it takes your eyes several minutes to adjust because the lights are very dim. My best friend pointed out that her visually impaired brother would not be able to go to a place like this, because it was so dark. However, I did point out to her that there were a few spots thst had bright lights and she agreed that he'd be able to sit there. The wait staff are incredibly nice. If you've never been, please note, if you are not a mest eater ... this is not the place for you. They offer amazing cuts of meat; filet mignon, sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, parmesan crusted chicken, bacon wrapped filet, Brazilian sausages ... which by the way, start off mild and then after, bring some serious heat. Whew! They do have a salad bar, but for $50 a person, you're not going for the salad. Each table gets cheese biscuuts, mashed potatoes and bananas that have been cooked in cinnamon and sugar. I wasn't really a fan of the bananas, because they just felt too gritty and smooshy. I was definitely a fan of the potatoes and the bread, which is gluten-free (made with tapioca flour). The servers are are males, but they do have female staff. They come around to your table and offer you the different cuts of meat. TDB has it set up where if you turn your card to green, the server knows to come over and ask if you'd like some more. If it's red, they know to give you time to eat and take a breather. A few of the meats are brined in salt, so be sure to drink lots of water before, during and after. Like I said, they have a salad bar, and in conjunction with all of the meat, it's a great meal. They've got romaine and mixed greens, cold asparagus, sliced tomatoes, cherry tomatoes in oil and spices, a pasta salad, cold potato salad, onions ceviche style, bacon strips, sushi (rice was a little too dry for me), a cheese wheel (I can't eat parmesan for awhile, since I ate enough for 3 months), olives, gerkins, and a few other items. They also have a lobster bisque soup, which has a bit of a sweet taste to it, very smooth (didn't get any bit of lobster), had a great lobster flavor ... could have been hotter though. It's a fun experience and I recommend you try it at least once. With two of us, the bill came to $109, and we did not order any alcoholic beverages. (They have a bar on the opposite side of where everyone is seated) So this isn't an every day restaurant, but definitely a treat for meat eater! read more

Had dinner here tonight, one of my favorite places in buffalo. Tonight was different, food was good but the service was terrible! Felt like we were being ignored, waiting for drink refills for 30 minutes, very slow service. Had a hard time with the $104 bill when it was evident that no one cared. This Is by far one of the best steak houses I've ever been too. It's been almost two months and I still think about it on the daily. The salad bar is the best thing I've ever experienced, it has so many choices ofsoup and salad and the fixings. The meat is tender and well seasoned and for about 44.00 for one person the all you can eat thing is glorious every piece of meat they bring you is absolutely fantastic in taste and presentation is an A+ When you walk in you assume you should have been better dressed but this is not the case it's fine to be under dressed. It was also one of the few places I had been where I got to meet the head chef and manager of the restaurant which in my experience has only happened at Salvatores and Russels. Ugh I was really looking forward to this, but it was like 80 degrees in the back of the restaurant where we were sat. Everyone was sweating & our drinks were constantly melting.I barely ate anything but was still charged the full price. The manager took off 15% from everyone, but nobody even ate any real meat! It was too hot to even ear! Also asked to be moved but they had no extra tables & apologized for their air con being broken! Table of 7, all dissatisfied & will not be back to this location. I arrived at the restaurant. The hostess told me it's a 45 minute wait. I waited patiently on the chair in the bar area. After waiting over an hour I asked the hostess why haven't I been seated She said she doesn't know anything. I aske for the manger. I explained to the manger Jim I've been waiting over an hour. He refused to give an explanation and refused to serve me without an explanation. He continued being rude and used homophobic slurs at me. My husband and I went here yesterday to celebrate our anniversary. I had been to Braza Lena in the Keys years ago and was so excited to try something similar closer to home! Everything was fabulous. Our server, David was kind, attentive, and brought us dessert for our anniversary. I'm a steak fan, and when they came around with chicken I declined, and they said they would bring more beef over, and they delivered! We will definitely be back. read more

I was pretty underwhelmed with this place. Its mostly a gimmick and good if you're going with a group that has deep pockets. This was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse admittedly so I wasn't initially aware of the prices which were really steep. The salad bar is really well stocked and had a lot of salmon and cheese which you could easily fill up on instead of the meat itself. Some of the meat was very good but some was very very dry and despite asking for specifics to be brought back to the table the waiters serving the restaurant kept missing us somehow. This was my first time at Texas de Brazil- and I LOVED it! It was quite the experience. I failed to make a reservation for Monday evening dinner, yet they still seated me within 5 minutes or less! My server for the night was Kelsey. Very attentive, and explained everything to me- just as if it was my first time at a Brazilian Steakhouse (which I was perfectly fine with). She briefly, yet thoroughly explained Texas de Brazil: meats, drinks, salad bar, fried plantains, etc. I chose a few items from the salad bar: couscous salad, sautéed mushrooms, tabbouleh, and steamed asparagus. I must declare that all items I had were great, but the sautéed mushrooms are to die for! Delicious! No complains on my end :) Before I was ready for the meats, the manager makes his way and greets me. Great way to make guest's feel comfortable. Once I flipped my card to green, the meat carvers made their way over to my table. I had: picahna, steak flank, fillet mignon, beef ribs, and pork ribs. The picahna and fillet mignon were too salty for my taste, however, the texture was perfect! My absolute favorites for the night had to be the steak flank and beef ribs- just perfect marination and a perfect medium rare.
