A delicious red to have with our steaks.
Khristina S.

Came for dinner ahead of the Blue October/Goo Goo Dolls concert last night. As we were being seated, another server was bringing the wedge salad to another table and its presentation was so striking, I had to get one. I will say the pickled onions gave me Indian food vibes which was *not& expected with Bleu cheese and bacon... As with most restaurants, we were served bread, which I politely declined & asked the server to place it on the opposite side of the table. My dining companion enjoyed a piece of dill focaccia. The sad thing was that our medium steaks seemed to have sat under the heat lamps so they were a little overdone. That being said, the caramelized onions & mushrooms were a tasty addition, plus the horseradish tasted fresh - bonus. Our after dinner drinks had to be remade because they were rang up as Nutty Irishmen instead of Irish coffees. All in all, a nice view of some of the city, a tasty meal, and a pleasant evening. Kellyann was friendly and attentive.

Good steakhouse within the Buffalo Creek casino! Went for my boyfriends birthday -- prime rib was tasty, but a bit too fatty for me. The french onion soup and accompanying asparagus were served at the perfect temperature. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated atmosphere, the wait staff was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. My boyfriend received an awesome dessert for his special day ...we will be back!

Bread with raspberry white chocolate butter, traditional butter, and sun dried tomato butter

The best part of our meal was probably our server, Sam. She was very patient and accommodating. The second best part was the raspberry white chocolate butter served with the bread. Sounds strange. Tastes amazing. I was half-tempted to dig in with a spoon. Instead I applied copious amounts to my bread, like double the amount I would usually use. My prime rib sliders with gouda and swiss cheese were great, but I could have done with a little more horseradish aioli. If you don't like spicy food, don't be scared to order these because they really didn't have much of a kick to them. The prime rib was tender and delicious. The truffle fries were great with consistent flavor throughout instead of getting overbearing by the bottom of the basket. We both liked the red chili ketchup, which tastes pretty similar to traditional ketchup, but I especially liked the curry ketchup. It almost had a cinnamon sweetness to it. Very unique. My husband wished he picked a different burger. The one he chose had pulled prime rib on top, and he felt its flavor clashed with the burger. The burger itself was cooked to order and had great flavor. My only regret was the calamari. The squid had a good texture but the batter was too salty, and the sriracha aioli tasted more lemony than the lemon aioli. The color was there, but I didn't pick up on the flavor or heat of sriracha. I liked the lemon aioli with my truffle fries, though. I enjoyed my Old Fashioned. My husband stuck with water since he already had a beer at the game we attended earlier. Overall, a great meal.

Had their french onion soup and WD burger. My husband had the filet mignon medium rare which was cooked perfectly. Burger was huge! Tasted great. And the French onion soup was absolutely fantastic! One of the best french onion soup I've had in Buffalo!!!

Caprese Salad is wonderful!

Very nice restaurant on the top floor of the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo View of the arena, nice Ambiance is modern but comfortable Service was great, we had the pleasure of having Lucas for our waiter! Enthusiastic and knowledgeable... Food was delicious, salmon was perfect and a generous portion....steak was also very good **Western Door Mai Tai Supreme tasted like we were on a beach in Hawaii...oh yeah! Finished the evening with a drink on the outside patio...lovely sunset! Prices reasonable for upscale dining

mac n cheese

my mac n cheese was clumpy and very non cheesy. and it tasted likes clumpy crayons. the service was good and everything but the food was not the best i also had a piece of hair embedded into it.

I discovered this place through a Yelp Event and it was nothing short of AMAZING the first time! Fast forward a few years later this is about t 3rd time coming here and enjoying the delicious food and ambience. This last time we came we met friends here for a birthday celebration. At the recommendation of me of course! My hubs ordered the fish fry and I ordered the lobster Mac. Everything was delish! But I must say that the BUTTER BABY was out of this world. They gave us 3 delicious butter option to have with our bread one of which was a buffalo wing flavor and it was SOOOO TASTY!! Can't wait for this covid thing to be over so I can return outside again and hit this place up!!!!

Checked out the late night menu, not much variety but the food overall was pretty good. Way better than the food you get in the rest of the casino. The flatbread was pretty tasty with chorizo, the Caesar salad was pretty basic, however the chicken was very good and the added anchovies were a nice touch. It's a good spot if you're downtown at the casino, I would definitely want to check this place out again when they have the full menu. But the food was pretty good for a late night spot.

Steak frites and yummy bread.

We went to the WD Bar and Grill before a concert at the big stadium in Buffalo. They had a really beautiful patio, but that night the weather wasn't great so we didn't sit there. We sat indoors. The menu had lots of different price point options which I was glad about. They served a variety of bread with different toppings which were all very good. I ordered a steak frites sandwich and my friend ordered the beef stroganoff which was fancier than a normal one and actually had little pickles in it. Both were very good. Only problem was we couldn't take leftover since we were going to the concert and it was a hot day. We both ordered drinks which were pretty good. The service was nice. Check it out. Was very convenient to park there and walk to the concert.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

The service was very good and it's a cute spot that I'd be willing to come back to. The best thing we had BY FAR were the beef croquettes. These were perfect, and I could have made a meal out of them. They had a tender birria like shredded meat inside with some cheese and probably some potato, I can't even remember but I do remember that everyone loved these. We also ordered asparagus, the Korean Fried Chicken, the shrimp with potatoes (all small plates) and one of my friends ordered the duck entree. My husband and friends had cocktails and mocktails; I didn't order one because they said they had nothing that was sweet. Incidental pet peeve: Saying "all our cocktails are balanced". I get it, you want to brag. But, some of us like things that are sweet, or as in the case of one of my friends, decidedly NOT sweet. If all of your cocktails are balanced the same way, it gives little useful info on what to order. I will respond to this by NOT ordering and sticking to tap water. I'd prefer it if you have a little something sweet and a little something not-sweet on the menu for those of us who don't actually want "perfectly balanced". That said, I did have a sip of the cocktails the others ordered. To my surprise, I liked the Broken Garden Tools. Though it wasn't particularly sweet it was also not super sour/tart and it was refreshing. I *could* have ordered that one, but I never would have known it from the description. I didn't like any of the others I tasted, but I can't remember what those were. Since I don't like whisky and I prefer sweet drinks, don't take this to mean that they don't have good drinks - the others enjoyed theirs, they just weren't to MY taste. Of the other dishes, I liked the cabbage that was on my friend's duck plate (I didn't try the duck). The asparagus was fine. The shrimp and potatoes was ok but not as good as I'd hoped for. And honestly, I didn't love the KFC. It didn't seem to be twice-fried and super crispy like KFC should be, and the sauce to me wasn't balanced between the sweet and spicy flavors I prefer. However, my husband liked it very well. The only other thing I'd caution is to double check ingredients. There was a dish ordered (I can't remember which now, some kind of bread maybe, but not listed as a bruschetta) that said it contained rosemary among other things but did not list basil. We saw no rosemary at all, but a lot of basil, which I can't eat. So I didn't have any. The others shared it. I would have been more disappointed had it been my selection. My friend noted that the server did not ask us about any food allergies, which, if your menu doesn't accurately list its contents, is problematic. Fortunately I know what basil looks like so no harm done. All in all, I would return, get lots of croquettes, order a Broken Garden Tools, and maybe try some other things we didn't get to. But I'd double check all the ingredients.

That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.
