You will need to download the Healow app which is prt of their care portal. They will send you an email with a code and a link for access. Despite doing the paperwork online in advance, when I arrived at the facility, they had me fill out more paperwork on actual paper forms and some of it seemed like a duplicate of what I already did online. I didn't even finish it until AFTER my appointment was over! Good or bad, hard to say. Bad because, "Why I am I filling out these forms if the doctor isn't even bothering to review the information prior to my appointment??? Was it even necessary since she didn't look at them?" On the flip side, I wasn't in the waiting room long. I was called back right away for my appointment and seen by the doctor right away. The medical assistant who took me back put my blood pressure cuff on my wrist as soon as I entered the room and sat down. She talked to me the entire time it was inflating. No surprise my blood pressure was high! Why bother taking this measurement if you aren't going to bother doing the procedure correctly???? The visit with the doctor was so quick. I feel like I was in the room for less than ten minutes and with the doctor for less than five minutes. She sprayed some lidocaine in my nose to numb it and then proceeded to stick a narrow tube with a camera on the end down my nose to view and comment on the status of my throat. She had an assistant that recorded notes on a laptop as the doctor explained what she saw on the scope. She quickly explained my condition, gave me a sheet for further reading, said a prescription would be sent in and told me to meet with a different doctor in 6-8 weeks. While she did ask me if I had any questions, it went by so quickly, I didn't have time to process what she said in order to ask any questions. It really felt like a "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" moment. Afterwards, I waited a few hours before contacting the pharmacy about my prescription. Nothing was received. The next day, I checked again - still nothing. I had to call the clinic multiple times to get through to anyone to follow up. Thankfully they called in the prescription at that point and I was able to pick it up two days after my initial appointment. No one is going to advocate for your care except for you. This place is a well oiled machine, but they are very process focused. Since insurance billing probably has them on a tight clock, don't expect warm fuzzies. Come with your questions prepared. Do your research in advance so you will know what to ask. Arrive early to complete the additional paperwork that no one will look at. Be sure to tell the medical assistant that you want 5-10 minutes sitting quietly before she takes a reading and that you won't be answering any questions while the cuff is inflating. Thankfully I have been pawned off on another doctor at a different clinic for my 4-6 week follow up, so I won't need to go through this again.

As far as quality of care, Dr. Gamble was arrogant and insulting to me. I told him I had sleep apnea and asked if the breathing machine could be causing the irritation and bleeding I was having. The inside of my nose was raw and I had tiny pieces of what appeared to be cartilage in the blood. He told me to stop picking my nose and use a cream he prescribed. I don't pick my nose but I did use the cream according to his directions. I returned for follow up with my husband to let him see that his suggestions were not working. He spoke to me in a very condescending manner and insulted me by insisting that I was picking my nose. At the time of the second visit, I no longer had insurance, being in a waiting period for new insurance. By this time I was having considerable pain and there seemed to be a lot of erosion in my left nostril. He said I would need surgery but we would have to wait until my insurance "kicked in". He was very cavalier, as if it was my problem and refused to put me on a payment plan. I went to another ENT in Frisco who determined that I needed nasal reconstruction. He performed the surgery and found a polyp which he biopsied. It was cancerous. I had radiation treatment and follow-up. Thankfully, I left Dr.Gamble and sought out another doctor. This is a sad day for those who protect this country, which includes Frisco, Texas. I am a…read moremilitary veteran that has the military "Tri-Care" insurance. I was referred to and advised that Collin County ENT would take Tri-Care. Truth is that they do take Tri-Care and it is in network, but only as a secondary insurance, not a primary insurance (According to the receptionist that I spoke to it is office dependent, so they can make their own rules). So, what do veterans do when they do not have additional insurance? I think this is a very poor stance when your duties are to help. You only help when it benefits you as the Doctor. What a work-around to allow this organization to charge more for service. I know that doctors who support military veterans take more of a loss. It's a given but when you say you do but there's a catch, you are just spitting in the face of those who served to allow you to skate around the issue of possibly taking less money for the same payment. This is just so frustrating to know that I pay a lot for my military "Tri-Care Prime" insurance. More than most who may be transiting through this office (if they pay anything at all) but only to be told your second rate. Pathetic! I'm sure you have the ability to find my name. After I was sent back I was informed that it would be another 20-30 minutes before I saw the doctor. At this point I elected to get up and leave. I was asked if I wanted to call back to reschedule to which I declined. They obviously have too many patients if the wait times are this lengthy. I would like to start this review by stating that I have a disfigured result from rhinoplasty…read morerevision surgery February 2022 with Dr. Colin Pero. I am just writing my review in 2025 because I was still under his care, post-surgery visits until March 2025 when I stopped because my nose was not improving it was looking worse. Dr. Pero said rhinoplasty revisions take longer to heal so I trusted him. I was getting steroid shots administered; the last steroid shot was in March 2025. In my opinion, I was given steroid shots to appease me. Dr. Pero did not take pictures to track progress during my office visits while administering steroid shots. I was never told that I could have a negative outcome from the rhinoplasty revision during any office visit or before surgery. I have a disfigured, curved nose, and loss of upper lip muscle. The surgery was a revision of his own work, rhinoplasty in 2018. The revision was supposed to only correct the tip area because it did not hold its shape. I have had consultations with top plastic surgeons in Dallas and Beverly Hills, and they do not want to touch my nose because of the disfigurement. I appreciate their honesty and transparency during the consultations. I was glad to receive confirmation that my radixx (bridge) area was changed during Dr. Pero's rhinoplasty revision that altered my appearance. I do not know what my next steps are on this journey; however, I plan to share my journey publicly on my social media platforms where I can say and show more. I'm not alone, I saw a review, posted 10 months ago on Yelp stating "The rhinoplasty was also a complete failure. He made my nose huge, crooked, and deformed." See photos I have edited my review to include the following after Dr. Pero's reply. I would like to reiterate that I was never informed of a possible negative outcome during consultation or before surgery. During a phone conversation with Dr. Pero after I stopped going to him, he stated that "he made aware of the risk before I went under for surgery but they give me something that makes you forget Retrograde, it makes you forget the last five minutes". I can prove what I am stating. I would also like to state that I had a rhinoplasty in 2012 because I wanted the hump removed in my nose. In 2018, I was recommended to Dr. Pero for deviated nasal septum surgery and elected to have rhinoplasty. I did not go to Dr. Pero to correct a previous surgery. I cannot sleep more than 2 hours at a time because my body can't sense the air when i breath through my nose. My quality of life is terrible because of the over reduction of my turbinates. The rhinoplasty was also a complete failure. He made my nose huge, crooked and deformed. The grafts he placed to fix the nasal valve collapse are misplaced and too thick. You can see every graft through my skin. I hate to go out any more and pictures are awful. Avoid this doctor at all costs and don't belive him when he tells you he can give a beautiful outcome for rhinoplasty.
