I dreaded this COLONOSCOPY appointment as a matter of fact I put it off for years. My new PCP insisted I get it done. Texas GI was very courteous and educated me on the steps that I needed to follow leading up to the procedure. On the day of said procedure. I was checked in and taken back. I was sedated and was awakened when it was over. I was diagnosed as ok no issues found. That's a blessing. My appointment was 10:30am by 12:30pm my daughter was outside waiting on me. They precalled my ride. All in all it was not as DREADFUL as I thought it would be. Get checked it could save your life. Texas GI is FANTASTIC everyone was so darn nice especially Kerri the intake nurse and also the nurse who woke me after the procedure. I kept asking her questions mainly because I was nervous from waking up on a table. She calmed me by answering all my dumb questions. Great Dr great staff. My first visit with Dr kedika give me hope. I have never feel this sure about my health that I will get better soon. I am please with the way he listen, communicate and make me understand my situation as a patient . He is one of the best Dr I have ever gone to visit. I will continue to have him as my personal Dr for checkups. The staff is amazing, respectful attentive and prompt to get you in. They answer all my questions and also make sure I understand. I researched many gastroenterologists on Google with certain criteria: (1) had to be in network on my insurance, (2) board certified, (3) prior reviews had to be great, and (4) great bedside manner. After seeing the reviews on Dr. German Oliver, I decided to take a chance, and I'm so glad I did. He is PATIENT, listens to what you say, and is cheerful. He did not talk down to me or make me feel uneducated. At my procedure, I was surrounded with 2 awesome nurses who calmed my anxieties. Then the anesthesiologist went over my previous issues with anesthesia and walked me through the process of what she would be doing, including the sedation. She never left my side during procedure and told me how I did upon coming to. The entire time I was there, I wasn't alone. Dr. Oliver came in all cheery and ready to do my procedure. When I awoke, a nurse was by my side. She escorted me out as well. I'm telling you folks, this was the best possible experience all the way around for my procedure! read more

This was my first time going to Texas GI and the care I received was A+ in my book. I am a registered nurse myself and I couldn't have had a better experience or a better patient outcome. The 2 ladies in the front office were very nice to me. Julie was my incoming RN and started my IV which was so quick and painless. She was so kind and made me feel so comfortable considering I was so nervous to get my first colonoscopy. Janice was also so kind and she assisted Dr. Oliver with the colonoscopy. The nurse anesthetist was great as well as the recovery nurse, Brandy. Dr. Oliver had a great bedside manner and made me feel at ease with the procedure. I was in and out in a timely manner. I appreciated the fact that someone called to check on me the next day to see how I was. It all went smoothly from the time I checked in to when I left. I've been going here over 10 years for routine colonostipies. The service has in the past been top notch, very professional and personal. This time, there was an extremely long wait just to check in and to get called back. Freezing cold, which I understand in a surgicenter, but no offer of warm blankets or extra blankets. The staff was corgile and professional just extremely hurried and probably understaffed. When I came out of the procedure I was quickly woke up and handed my clothes and told to dress in bed. As soon as I was dressed, I was rushed to the bench to wait, still freezing, for the doctor. I will still go here, but not as likely to refer as I was in the past. This score of 4 is generous, but I like the staff and I know they are not to blame for how overly rushed , cold and impersonal everything feels. I was scheduled for a dbl procedure. An EGD/ COLONOSCOPY AND MUTIPLE POLYPECTOMIES. The minute I walked into t he lobby I felt the staff attentiveness. I had to wait for a patient before me but the admission process was efficient,proffesional,and compassionate. I felt comfortable placing myself in the staffs' and Dr Kadecki's care. I am a Retired RN with 40 years of Surgical First Assist experience. Various positions in the OR ,Critical Care/SICU. and Pediatrics. I have managed and assisted in the establishment of. Various ORs/ Cath Labs,Endoscopy and Anesthesia teams through the State of Texas as well as a Traveling Nurse to other states. I would be proud to have worked along side your staff or have them on of my Surgical teams. My experience was perfect. I was processed at front desk professionally with minimal wait before I was taken to prep area for procedure. All the nurses who helped me, the anesthesiologist and any other staff or professional and conducted conversations with me putting me at ease and their task with Excellence. Dr Oliver is stellar! He has performed this procedure on me 3 to 4 times in the last several years and every time I have been more impressed with his expertise, communications. The procedure itself was as pleasant as possible! I waited to set up an appointment with him until he was back from a family emergency based on the fact that my trust in him supersedes any personal inconvenience due to his unavoidable schedule change. Can't forget about the 1st person I saw at front desk who helped me with signing paperwork and stuff. She was sweet and very helpful, so pretty comfortable at the beginning. All the nurses were easy to talk to and nice so not quite as nervous. Not to scare anyone, but took 3 tries to get an IV started on my right arm, but totally my fault due to the fact my veins roll and were absolutely no help. But with each try, the nurse(s) were very easy on me and it didn't hurt at all. I even joked with a couple of them about how I bruise easily and would think about each of them every time I saw the bruises. They didn't hurt either; just very colorful! Will definitely use again in 5 years. I liked that there weren't a lot of people roaming around. read more

The nurses were the best part, they made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. The first visual experience walking in was a bit overwhelming due to all the construction work being done. Then walking back to the beds was scary for me because people were hooked up to monitors everywhere, and it was just a lot to take in. The nurses though hands down help calm my anxiety, three different nurses and all were very friendly. I was literally chatting it up with one nurse right before being sedated, just laughing with her.. so this made everything better. As for the doctor, not so sure of yet. It's day two after my endoscopy and I am still really sore all down in my esophagus area, hurts to even swallow liquids. read more

This office was amazing so professional they broke down every step that's going to happen all the nurses and assistants were funny and social the doctor himself Dr. Wright went step-by-step of what's going to happen once they put the IV in for my colonoscopy to start the anesthesia started and I didn't even get to two and I was out next thing I knew I was up from a very well needed nap and everything was done no pain no anything I went out and about my day and it was a great experience and if I need to go back for one I'm definitely using this office five stars all the way and I would definitely suggest this office for anyone of my friends that need or are looking to have a colonoscopy done. read more

I just turned 45, and my PCP recommended that I get a colonoscopy. They gave me a referral for another provider at the same place. After reading the reviews, Dr. Seif had great reviews, so I changed the referral to him, and I'm so glad I did! On the morning of my appointment, I was nervous as it was my 1st time having a colonoscopy and just the thought of it. But let me just say, the entire staff made me feel comfortable and answered any questions I had. The check-in lady, Chelsea, the anesthesiologist (forgot his name), Dr. Seif and the nurse in recovery were ALL awesome. When I got home, I felt normal and couldn't even tell I had a procedure done. Most excellent patient care! Monique is an excellent RN, she plowed through the million questions she had to ask and even cracked a smile when I gave her a hard time!! She's a great sticker too, no pain, no hematoma. Anesthesiologist (forgot his name, duh) was great, told jokes that I do not remember! I guess Dr Seif did great, all I said was Hey to him and then woke up in recovery!! The recovery nurse was excellent, name begins in M, don't remember the rest. Very helpful and professional. Very happy with Texas GI Endoscopy. Had a procedure there 2 days ago and was treated great. The staff was very friendly and professional. Renee, RN took care of my pre-procedure stuff; Joel, CRNA, discussed my meducal history and explained his treatment; Janice, tech, was very friendly; Dr. Oliver always has a great attitude and was very professional; I'm sorry I can't remember my recovery RN's name (maybe they could give a card with everyone's name in it that is involved in your treatment), but she was very nice and friendly. For starters the staff is very CARING, EXTREMELY KIND and PROFESSIONAL from the beginning to the end of the visit. Most of all extremely COURTEOUS, for example I wasn't aware of additional payment for my procedure but did they cancel my appointment, NO! They worked out a plan so I could still proceed with my procedure as scheduled!! Most clinics would postpone the visit and I know cause I was done like that earlier this year from a doctor and his staff that was well aware that I needed treatment right away I recommend Dr Self for anyone with GI issues % I couldn't ask for a BETTER DOCTOR and STAFF!!!!!!! read more

I'm not normal someone who gives reviews but I was very impressed with this center. I arrived 10 minutes before my 7am appointment and by 7 am I was back in the prep area where I was scheduled for both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. The receptionist was really friendly, even took a moment to explain a bit about my procedures and ease worries. From there, the nurses who took care of me were super nice and helpful from the moment I went in to the moment they helped me into my car. Every thing went smoothly and I was in and out in no time. This was my my 1st time for a colonoscopy. They called be before I went in and answered all of my question for the procedure and on the Prep medication. Everyone was very nice and freindly. I went to the Mesquite, Tx location, which was right down the street where I live. That also was a big plus. The doctor and nurses give me all the information when it was over. It was a very good procedure and I would recommend anyone to go there. They were able to get me in and out withend a reasonable time. P.S. The doctor, nurses, office staff, and the anesthesiologist made my experience as good as it could be given the circumstance. It's awkward for anyone to have the inside of their colon probed. However, they were organized, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable. The anesthesiologist especially made me feel safe. She is extremely intelligent with a great sense of humor. Dr Sief and his staff did an excellent job.After the procedure everything was explained to where I could understand it.The anesthesiologist was also very professional and friendly.Chelsea did a great job prepping me and even helped me with a nose bleed she was awesome.And just like she did at my previous endoscopy 2 months ago Brandy went above and beyond helping me prepare to leave and told me what to do.
