Please beware of the medical malpractice you may be subjected to by Dr. Folake Familusi. In August of 2025, I was prescribed Levofloxacin as a second option to treat a mild UTI. I was not informed of the risks associated with this medication, I was not advised to take precaution or to even communicate with my doctor if side effects occurred. I was not supervised for the 3 days I took Levofloxacin. Baylor Urgent Care in Mesquite did not check in on me. I experienced 3 days of insomnia, tendon pain which caused me to injure my wrist from listing up clothes, constant diarrhea. I also experienced hallucinations and extreme anxiety- anxiety that lingered for months. The effects of Levofloxacin caused a huge toll on my life, as the antibiotic resistance it caused made me the constant struggle to be cured from the UTI, due to being constantly switched from different antibiotics. It also caused me to not be able to walk for weeks from the pain in my leg's tendons, resulting in me having to quit my job. I also spent a lot of money on doctor's visits, medications, ER visits, therapy visits and even an ambulance, due to being prescribed such a harsh antibiotic without any warning. The effects of Levofloxacin also caused a huge strain on my mental health, after instantly giving me symptoms of anxiety once I started taking it. These symptoms lasted months and consisted in doctor visits, crisis hotline calls, and medication to repair the effects it gave me such as suicidal ideations, panic attacks, constant anxiety attacks, nightmares, and memory disruption. The lack of care from the provider who prescribed me Levofloxacin during the 2 minutes she took to see me, without warning nor informing me of risks, was completely negligent and caused a lot of damage onto me and my health. read more

Booked an appointment online and was texted when it was 15 minutes before appointment. Got to parking lot and "checked in" per instructions. After 30 minutes of waiting I called the front desk who told me to wait in car. After 1 1/2 hours and a lame text basically making sure I understand how much PAYING CASH was going to cost; I walked in to find out I was supposed to come in and wait. Just on the checkin stuff. I haven't seen a doctor yet. Called ahead to get put on the list. It's a Wednesday. I'm told I'll get a call back from the facility. About 15 minutes later, they call and tell me they'll call me when I should head over. I get the call at 3:30. It's now 5:07...and I'm still sitting in the waiting room. No kidding. I asked how long the wait was when I checked in..."there are 3 call aheads in front of you". Huh. So that doesn't include the people just waiting I guess. Amazingly, I got called back just as I started this. It's 5:16...I just finished my weigh-in, temp taking and whatnot. Now sitting in the exam room....counting the minutes. Doctor in at 5:43. The first thing you should know is if you are going to ANY urgent care facility, you need to make an appointment online and complete the paperwork online. That way, when you go for appointment, the wait time is reduced. The Mesquite was very friendly and forth coming about wait. Once I was in, they ran labs, saw the doctor and was out the door in under an hour. Very competent and professional. Dr Folake Familusi was cordial, quick, but thorough. Lovely lovely experience. Went in for a rapid test. The wait was long (about 3 hours in total) but that's to be expected. They communicated the wait clearly and had an efficient system. I was able to go home and keep an eye on the waitlist from there. Front desk staff were efficient as well and made sure each person was there when their name was about to be called. The most unorganized, and slowest clinic I have ever been to! Don't even bother scheduling and appointment, or even wasting your time here. No one ever answers the phone anyways. Your appointment times don't mean anything. They don't put you in the system right away. They are so unorganized with their patient paper work and will have you waiting 3-4 hours just to be seen by someone. I have been here twice already, and both times my paperwork was miss placed and another time it was put behind someone else's. I will never come back again. read more

Our family has been coming here for a while now. Today was our first time using the web check-in. We got there about 4 minutes before our scheduled time. They send you a text and you get to see a live waitlist. Our name was on the top. After four people got called to the back before us I asked the receptionist about this. She said I'm not sure but you are next on the wait. The next person to get called back was not us. We finally got called back just to get her vitals checked then had to sit in the waiting room and wait for a room to get cleaned. An hour after our scheduled time we finally got a room. What is the point of doing an online check-in if you still have to wait an hour to be seen? The doctor and nurses are amazing and very helpful. read more

Came up here for a routine drug test for a job. Waited over an hour.... still waiting in fact. Not friendly or informative at all, in fact acted as if I was a burden. Please let me save you some time don't go here. I went here for a injury and I ended up waiting for 7 hours in there clinic to get seen. The bad experience starts at the front office where the people working there obviously don't care and it shows. Now on to the Doctor I think there was only 1 doctor there so I will give them credit for that. I got a X-ray and I had 2 people doing the X-ray and they could not figure out the machine. I even asked them who was training who. After that experience I was put back in a room to wait and boy did I have a long wait. I waited approximately 2 hours for the Doctor to come back. If you want to go to a Doctor and spend all day waiting and getting ignored or perhaps forgotten about then this is the place for you. I have really been impressed with this facility. I usually have to go to urgent care for myself once or twice a year for things like sinus infection or bronchitis. The staff and physicians are always nice and friendly and I haven't had a bad experience yet. They are very knowledgeable and efficient and the wait hasn't been too bad when I walk in but it is super quick when I check in online. Their hours state they open at 8am on Sunday. It's false. Even though my husband checked in online at 7:40 and arrived at 8am; he was informed they don't "do" appointments the first hour. What?.... So what exactly do they do the first hour? Just let the sick patients accumulate and linger together in the lobby? If you want to start at 9am then post your hours from 9am on. Don't falsely state you're open at 8 then when people arrive, tell them you won't see them until 9am. We could have gone somewhere else where they actually see patients as soon as they open. read more

I needed to get an annual physical so I looked at PrimaCare online and website said they give physical examinations . Made an online appointment for 4:00 that same day . I arrived 3:45 , signed in , noticed a few people in waiting room , ask person at desk if I still would be seen around 4:00 . She said yes . A few minutes later I get a text saying there were only two people ahead of me , a few more minutes another text saying there was only one ahead of me . Then a text saying I was next . My son had a very high temp and the website states they are open until 9pm. They close at 8 pm and locked the doors. They refused to see him. So far so good. Came in for what I believe is a UTI (They confirmed) and some severe dark circles (dry and wrinkly, very pronounced for a 20 year old, looked absolutely abnormal). They were able to test the urine very quickly and prescribe antibiotics for the UTI (They don't seem to be working, it's likely a difficult strain of bacteria, so not their fault) and steroids for the undereye issues and dryness. Worked like a charm but I'll likely be going back for a second round of antibiotics. Doc was nice enough, tech that took vitals was pleasant to be around and the front desk staff were extremely sweet. So far so good. read more

I waited about an hour to see the doctor and another hour to come back with results. Never again will I come here. CareNow in Garland is so much quicker. The wait at this clinic is unreal. It was the only place I was allowed to go when I got injured at work or I would never have gone. When I got there, I asked how long the wait would be. They said 45 minutes to 1 hour. 3 hours later, the doctor finally called me back to see me. Today, I had to go back for a recheck and took advantage of the call ahead service. I was told at the time of "check in" that it would be about an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. Well, that was 3 hours ago and they still have not called me in. I just called and asked approximately how much longer it would be, they said 15 to 30 more minutes. After that, it will still be a "small wait" after I get there. Ridiculous. read more

I'm back for an update, provider messed up on my first visit. I was told to come in for a second visit and I told them I wouldn't come in because I would be charged again. They told me I would not be charged and they asked me to please come back. So, I did, and the visit went well. Well, It's been about a month, Im out checking my mail only to find a bill from them from the visit. Horrible horrible horrible received a call back from the facility two days after I had called. This has been the most awesome experience at a Dr's office I have ever had...started with the receptionist she was nice and friendly. Then the nurse was very much a people person. The Dr. was personable and very open and easy to talk to...the nurse who came to give a shot was upbeat and courteous...the x-ray Dude was a hoot....i was extremely impressed with the service that I received today...i wish they were my regular Dr. who was too busy to see me today...I walked in feeling miserable and in pain...and they made it turn into a great visit in spite of my issues...cool.....Highly recommended if you have an emergency (not life threatening). read more
