Food was just average. We ordered a Burger, onion rings, fried shrimp. Nothing special about the burger. They did not ask what toppings you wanted. So mine came with mustard. I hate mustard on a burger. Onion rings too dark. The breading in the shrimp was very thick. They did run the orders out to peoples cars. But because we were parked right in front they motioned us to come get it. Apparently this restaurant has been here a long time and is a local favorite. read more

Very disappointed. On a roadtrip to Austin, my wife and I looked up the highest rated non-chain restaurant and ended up at Williams. We are vegetarians and listed in the description was "many vegetarian options", so we were excited to come. The front clerk seemed nice, but I believe it was unkind, and also false advertising, to not warn us that the "veggie burger" option is a joke. The item has no patty at all, just condiments. A burger requires a burger, which is a patty of some kind in it. It's obviously meant as a joke at the expense of vegetarians. I hope the chuckles are worth the one star review from me and the additional one that will come from my wife. read more

We just had Williams for dinner and all five family members enjoyed all they ate!! Three kids loved the food = Win for the parents! Mom and Dad ordered bacon cheeseburgers and they were wonderful! They were juicy and had just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. Kids ordered cheese sticks, tacos and the chicken basket. They all gave a big thumbs up! **just ordered 2 vanilla milkshakes, they were both approved as well! Overall a great hole in the wall, if you blink you'll pass it, There's No Signage from the road! I really liked this Drive Inn. Toby and I made a special trip down to check it out. A true throw back to the 60's Really nice people working here. Burger was quite good. Sometimes the experience makes the food just taste better. We made a 80 mile round trip drive for a Cheeseburger. It was worth it. read more

For the price I'd say this place is pretty great. The batter is crisp but a bit thick. Their ranch dressing looks like it's made in house and is definitely the star of the show. Food has always been good BUT try getting them to answer the da&$ phone! I swear every time I'm in a hurry and wanna call in my order they won't answer the phone. I did a little test,I drove up there and called while sitting in my car. Two people were working, there was one customer at the counter. They just let the phone ring until it went to an unattended voicemail. Not good for business! I've also noticed this only happens when the owner is gone in the afternoons. read more

Ok do not let this place fool you. I came real close to just driving off cause it looked like old run down place. you will have to wait in your car while your burger is being made but its worth it. the burger and fries with a bottle water was 7 bucks. you can't beat that anywhere. the burger is a lot better than you would think coming from a place that looks like its from 1950. the fries tasted fresh cut. and they had a wide verity of other foods. 5 stars! Old school drive amp burger joint. It's a cross between a kick ass bowling alley burger and a Whataburger. I believe a few sisters and maybe daughters that run the joint. They are a lost art and have been at it for a long time. A must have if you are in Hillsboro or near by and want a burger. I recommend you call your order in if you want to leave quickly. The make it when you order but it never takes more than 10 minutes or so for your food to be ready after you order. read more

First I am not complaining just truth! This is your true local dive a place we all wish we had in our city...it has a great location on busy street and true drive in 1950-1960 era eating out. Delicious chocolate shake , big cup of delicious vanilla ice cream a full cup... 1/2 price drinks from 2-5 pm Ok where is my pickle ? A lot on the grease trap side of eating!! Onion rings greasy fair tasting and my hamburger was light on veggie s no pickle ,1 tomato tried poppers ok just a good old fashioned atmosphere and taste. I guess I am spoiled by Whataburger I order extra pickle extra mustard and extra veggies they deliver! I am going to tell my fella yelpers try it you might like it ... Not sure, but I would guess that this place is the longest running food establishment in Hillsboro. Be prepared to wait if you order at the window, but be aware that every bite will be worth it! Sit in one of the old school desks out front, resist the urge to play on your cell phone, and talk to the locals waiting there with you! I love small towns and the people that call them home.
