There are a lot of good ranges in this area, so I thought I'd focus on what makes TGE different from the other ranges I have considered membership at. Customer service is excellent, both on the range and the sales floor. The TGE staff take the time to learn member's names and always make sure you are well taken care of. I have even had the owners stop me several times asking if there's anything they can do better. On the range RSOs are friendly and attentive. I am an experienced shooter but feel much safer with the RSOs around because of the not-so-experienced shooters. They have radios and can even have ammo brought out to you on the range. No RSOs on cell phones at this range. The retail space is open, bright, and very well stocked. There's a wide selection of firearms, accessories, ammo, and some seating areas should you prefer to have a seat to chat with friends. They also have a silencer shop kiosk on site for any NFA items. I'm happy to see TGE recently added some training for more experienced shooters, that was the only area I had hoped to see some improvement in. Way to go TGE! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and we quickly understood how to proceed. TGE rents shooting range lanes, sells rounds/bullets and rents handguns to try out. Boxes of popular rounds can be very expensive lately; otherwise, we thought the prices were reasonable. The parking lot was full, but we had no wait for an open lane. The facility is large and has a good variety of knives and handguns for sale. The lanes are in two rooms. Ours had excellent ventilation and good privacy walls on each side of the firing location. Space is adequate for two persons to share the lane. The only issue I had was with the range ceiling height. The target conveyors seemed to hold the target boards too low and we were aiming and shooting somewhat downhill. I don't recall having to do this at Shoot Smart for example. Overall a great experience and we will come back. read more

Went to Texas Gun Experience for the first time a few weekends ago and had a top tier experience. The service was great and all of the workers were extremely professional and helpful. First off, we walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they went out of their way to fit us in a lane before they had to start a wait time which was awesome. Then going into the range area the range safety officer was very cool and professional. Adding tips and pointers to all guests while making sure the guests were adhering to all of their safety rules as well. After our time on the range was over, we went into the main area to check out all the guns they had for sale. This is where I will give a specific shoutout to Joe behind the counter. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, let us hold a bunch of different pistols and told us about each one. I would go back to this place just because of his service alone. This place is awesome. Staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I was looking for a particular pistol, but was somewhat undecided. The associate was patient and spent plenty of time explaining and recommending what would be perfect for me. They definitely know their inventory. In fact, when I realized they didn't have the particular pistol I was initially looking for, the young man that was helping me made a quick call and found the pistol at their sister location. Otherwise, just about anything you're looking for is on the shelf or in the cases. Their ammo section is kept well stocked, but like every place else, its pricey. It's on par with all other places right now because of the current ammo "shortage". The facility is modern and well maintained. I haven't shot at their range yet so I can't comment on that, but I have no doubt the range (I sort of peeked through the glass door) is state of the art. All in all, this is a great place to shop. Look I am in no way a gun range or gun shop connoisseur. However, I checked this place out. It is new and very modern. I find it to be clean and the people there are so organized. They seem to have been split off by sales people, service people, greeters, Gun Range and safety experts. I think an expert person or a beginner could walk in here and find this place to be wonderful. My experience here was a good one and everyone is so friendly. We've been there a few times now and EVERY single time we have been blown away by the friendliness, helpfulness, and just overall great customer service we've received from all staff. Antoine at Range Check-In is just a great guy...so helpful and friendly. He really cares about what he is doing and wants you to be comfortable and have a great experience. Taylor is a sweetheart (besides being as cute as all get-out)! She took time out to show me around and explain the membership program to me (and we absolutely joined)!! Serena went out of her way to introduce herself to me the next time we came (because she was at lunch the time prior). Greg spent time helping me learn about different guns, asking what my goals were and educating me on the different factors to consider when choosing a gun, as well as helping me get started on the range, while my husband was having the time of his life with Walt doing his qualifying for license. We had an exceptional private training with Justin...learning a ton and having fun. In just one training session I felt so much more confident about what I was doing. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to get to know us. We felt like we made a new friend! He also took the time to introduce us to the training manager, Kevin, who also was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home, like part of the family. Then Steve (who helped us with our gun purchase because Justin had another training lesson to start) was so patient and kind...it was a super busy day and he was slammed, but he never once made us feel like we were a bother, even though I know he needed to get to his lunch. Awesome facility. The employees here are top notch, the selection is extensive, prices are fair. I have been shooting since I was a wee lass, but hadn't been to the range since pre lockdown times. I grew up shooting revolvers, tried semi automatic for the sake of CCW but it just wasn't my cup of tea, so I sold my Ruger LC9S and bought a Taurus 856 .38SPL 3" at a gun shop. Since I am out of practice and want to start going to the range regularly again, I wanted set of eyes on me. I did a one hour private lesson with Donna and she was awesome. We discussed my experience and reason why I chose to go back to a revolver, discussed the 4 rules of gun safety, and discussed what I hoped to achieve. She asked me to show her my grip and stance. We put on our eye and ear protection and went to the range. Although I had dry fired the new firearm at the gun shop where I bought it, it had a VERY heavy trigger pull. Never had an issue before with either evolved or semi automatic, but it was causing problems (I sound like an idiot, I swear I'm not). We left the range to speak to the on site gunsmith about options to lighten the trigger pull. He worked his magic and now it is perfect. These folks were patient and understanding as well as professional. I highly recommend this facility for beginners and experienced folks alike! read more

So I am not the traditional gun person, but this shop is sooooo welcoming of all experience levels. After dating my fiancé for several years, I decided to make the plunge and learn more. First person I met was Olivia. She is the sweetest human alive and was very informative on guns. She made it super easy to choose my first gun. She then recommended a private lesson with Kevin to be able to try the gun and learn more. I then signed up for a lesson with Kevin. He is the nicest person alive. He went over the gun step by step and we thought through scenarios. I am usually really nervous around guns, but his confidence was contagious. By the end, I was sold that I needed my first gun. The fates lined up as they had my gun in orchid. Now I am a part time florist, so this little touch lit me up even more. Then Olivia talked with me about adding a light. She was so attentive that I knew how to operate it and that it was comfortable. I am so happy to have found this welcoming shop. I came in to get a gift for my fiancé and had no idea where to start. It's a pretty big place with so many selections and I had no knowledge with guns, the purpose of each kind, or the different kind of bullets available. The staff there were super friendly and helpful every time we came in. Thanks to Noel, I got to look at a bunch of different kind of guns from handgun, shotguns, and hunting guns. Best gun range I have been to thus far. All the staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Selection of guns one of the best I've ever seen/used. They have a mini gun and a Gatling gun which my wife shot and are insane. Definitely will go back anytime I'm in Texas and only if California could have the cool ass guns they have. read more

Definitely one of the top indoor shooting ranges in the Dallas, TX area. I generally have had great experiences here in the past. Great service, great products, but if you don't pay the minimum 69$ a month for a membership, then good luck getting any shooting time during your days off/ the weekend. I went in and was told twice that I'd have to wait an hour for range time. I waited a total of 2 hours and that I couldn't join a waitlist or make a reservation. I gave up, frustated with the situation and will have to reconsider my patronage. read more

They have an incredible supply of ammo and guns and they are great shooting range. One thing they did for us is look up the gun that my husband was looking for and make sure they could get it in the time that we needed. We went here after hearing about a Halloween event for kids. We had an absolute blast. We brought our son, our friends, and parents. Every generation loved it. We got to carve a pumpkin with knives and power tools which was a huge hit. Then we went inside and were shocked to see how much inventory they have of gear, knives, and guns. This place is stunning. We rented a lane and everyone was very professional, extremely kind, and very accommodating. There is a great place to sit and watch for people not participating too. It was the first time for our son and my dad to shoot a gun and I don't know who was more excited afterwards. What a great memory for our family. We left with a bunch of candy and a Glock 19. It doesn't get much better then that on Halloween in Texas. We'll be back! read more
