That is frustrating enough, but when the moron behind the counter started talking to my wife, she said they never allowed dogs on the patio (news to us, and our dogs who have been there) and that we must have confused them with the place next door (which we have never been to). We noted that we called the night before and the idiot shouted 'no you didn't, you would have talked to me!' My wife pulled out her phone and read off the number she called. Dumbo confirmed that was their number and STILL told us we didn't call (wtf?). She did seem to remember that we also asked for two cases of a particular wine on the same call (that supposedly didn't happen) which were ready for us to pick up. Do yourself a favor and bring some wine if you come visit Kane. Spend your money at the excellent brewery 5 doors down and the butcher shop a half mile down the road. Save your time and money and skip this place.

The staff were busy, but had character, were nice and honest in opinions when engaged about their menu. I took the bartenders suggestion to have the Guiness Burger, scrapped the chips for curly fries with ranch dressing, and had a side salad to start. Everything was fresh and crispy, and picturesque lol. Came out, as if they were made in a tester kitchen. The place was real clean, inviting and the beer selection in the cleanly lit beer coolers were tempting- had we not had a long trip ahead of us. Maybe we will stop by on our way back to try more. The beer was cold and made for a great drink as we set up camp and built a fire. I didn't get the full dining experience but with service like we experienced I didn't need to spend an hour in there to make my judgement.
