Terrible place. Everything is fine until you need warranty work. Bought a brand new 2018 Malibu 23LSV in Sept 2020-. All good until you need warranty service one year later. TX Malibu service refused to honor the warranty. Jonathan the service manager said sorry there was debris in the bilge which caused the boat to not pump out water which cased ALL of the other electrical problems. I again needed service in April of 2020. Again this time they refused to honor the warranty and told me I needed to get repairs that might not be needed just to keep my warranty valid. What a racket. These people have terrible customer service. Jonathan was flat out rude and refused to service my boat altogether after our disagreement. I told him to F off after he refused to put air in my trailer tires which was needed to get my boat back to the lake. BUY ELSEWHERE!!!! read more

We had Texas Malibu do an engine swap and they did an adequate job. They get one star for misrepresenting one of the repairs they said they made but did not, opting for a shortcut that didn't cost them any money, and for damaging a ballast pump hose and refusing to replace it. We chose the dealer for our engine swap expecting them to provide the best service. My advice is to check your other options and only use Texas Malibu if you absolutely have to. read more

We love working with Texas Malibu. We met them at the Austin boat show and stayed in touch. We custom ordered a boat with both Clark and Kevin helping us through the process. I tend to overdo things and appreciated Rob telling us what was worth spending money on. At delivery Clark bent over backwards to show us how the boat works, small tips and tricks and even some wake surfing advice. The most important part? They actually answer their phones after you buy and support the customer. No matter what anyone tells you, boats sometimes need attention. You don't just turn the key and go, you need to be a responsible owner. We did have some minor issues initially but Lynda, John & Kenny took the time to make it right. They answered their phone, addressed them quickly and professionally. That is the definition of customer service. Owning a Malibu was a dream of mine and has given my friends and family 2 amazing summers. The bottom line, when the time comes we will be hitting up Texas Malibu again! read more

Stopped in today because I needed some decals for my Malibu and talked to Kevin Brown, the Sales Manager over there. They didn't have any wakesurf decals or anything in stock, but he told me to hold on and that he'd check. He came out with some sweet Malibu decals with the Texas outline on them- I asked how much and he said ''nah man, don't worry about it. While you're at it do you want some tee shirts?" Super disappointed in Texas Malibu. Definitely would not recommend. We purchased a used boat and trailer in July 2020 and it took 11 months to receive the boat title and registration (received June 2021) and took 16 months to receive the license plates and title for the trailer (received November 2021). I can't even count the number of times I called and emailed during the process and was given one excuse after another. Apparently the boat and trailer we purchased were not properly titled when Texas Malibu accepted them on trade. Regardless, it should not take a year+ to receive the titles and registration. We are now in the market for a newer boat and I will not be purchasing a Malibu because unfortunately Texas Malibu is the closest Malibu dealer and I do not want to deal with them when we need service. read more

I've been working with Texas Malibu since purchasing my new Axis T22 in 2014. The TX Malibu team is as good as it gets! They say that the best day of a boat owner's life is the day they buy it and the day they sell it. I disagree. I put the boat in the shop, for regular service, cleaning, winterizing & some upgrades in December 2015 and picked it back up, like new in February 2016. Working with Lynda and Johnathan during the winter months as they were servicing and upgrading the boat was a breeze. They were genuinely supportive of my concerns with boat function and made appropriate and reasonable suggestions for any upgrades to help increase the surfing capabilities. They worked diligently to ensure that all repairs (that could be covered), were covered under the warranty. Lynda and Johnathan were fabulous to work with as they were patient with the approximately 1000 questions I asked throughout the time the boat was with them!! I am so happy with my Axis T22 purchase and the level of support that I've received from the Texas Malibu team, since the purchase. read more

Horrible experience! I bought my first boat this year from Texas Malibu Austin. Kevin was my salesman. They pretend they care and are genuinely excited for you but it's really just a show to get your money. If you think car salesmen lie, try dealing with a boat salesman. My husband and I crossed paths with the owner a couple of times and not once did he say congratulations or thank you. I would suggest doing your research before buying from this place! Needless to say, when two girls walk into a dealership looking for a boat we get the "are you really interested" look. We experienced that look at most of the dealerships, but not at Texas Malibu. Excellent experience with Clark at Texas Malibu. These guys are class acts. At one point we went to demo the boat before we bought and while out on the lake - there was a stranded couple who's battery had died. Very few people in the middle of a potential sale would do what he did. He put the demo on pause and towed the nice couple in. A challenge for us was finding something that fit in the garage, they went out of their way and brought it by to do a garage test. They got the boat ready for us on an expedited time line, an had us on the water quickly. The follow up after the fact has been awesome too. Highly recommend. read more
