I came to the site to give a BEWARE review on Texas Movers Group but instead it seems like I am going to help them a bit. About the contact: - Like many others I did spoke to Michell, I did have some trouble reaching her a couple times but she was nice every time until after the move when I mentioned some damaged to the dryer, at that point she still politely but less friendly referred me to the "claim company" CSI for my claim (more on this later on). - Zack DID show up at the house, he saw what we had (which ended up being 2 truck loads of stuff) and gave us a quote, the quote was a little over 10k, we explained we had a budget of up to 10k for the move and he lower the quote to 10K. I believe he is Middle Eastern, it is a different culture, I have experience dealing with the culture so I did not take his attitude as aggressive ( someone else reviewed him as aggressive) We have a About the move : (Pick up of stuff) - We have a 1k pound safe, I asked Zack if I should empty the safe and he said "No, just lock it", I thought they had some type of tool/equipment to move it, just to find out he says "yes" to please the customer but he DOES NOT move a finger to help the crew carry/load anything. - I suggested a video on how to disassemble the Sleepnumber bed for the move and Zack interrupted and said they know how to. By the time I realized they had the frame wrapped up and the mattress deflated, which is NOT what you are supposed to do. - The moving crew was GREAT, they were fast, hardworking, careful wrapping and packing, other than leaving the doors open while the AC is on they did a great job packing the house. Other than showing up about an hour later than when they said they will, the moving out was great. (Delivery) - They did show up within the time frame they said they would, fortunately we got the same crew that packed/loaded. - They unloaded and placed where we asked, they did not do any damage/scratches to the house. It got to the point where we did not know where to put stuff so I asked that they leave the boxes in the garage in a way the car would fit and they did just that. (Damages) - My workbench (which is heavy) was slightly damaged, one of the legs was slightly bent which they "fixed" right away. - We have 2 glass L shaped desks, one got a 4 inch scratch on the metal frame and the other got a small "M" shaped scratch on the glass, not desired, not a big deal. - The safe has a bigger scratch on the side, considering they loaded and unloaded by hand I take it as minor cosmetic, if I had the safe on display I might be upset about it. - The sleep number mattress got damaged in the move, when inflating it again it is deformed, you are supposed to give it some time to get back in shape, it's been almost 3 months, it is damaged. - DRYER, this is what trigger this review, the crew failed to use the "bolts" to secure the drum, this caused the the control board and the seal to get damaged. The dryer repair cost was close to $700, not including the cost for the carpet repair from the water flooding the laundry room and spilling to the adjacent rooms. About the "Claim Company": - They are not an insurance company and if you want to file your claim you have to sign you will not sue anyone after ... RED FLAG right there. Apparently you can only file 1 claim per move so make sure you unpack everything so you know everything damaged or missing. The process takes I believe 2-4 MONTHS. In our case they came back with a settlement offer of $250 since we did not "choose a proper valuation option" Overall I would have given them 4 stars, but having to deal with CSI and their response of "insufficient evidence" which short of a video of them damaging the stuff there is probably no sufficient evidence, made me drop it to 3. I suggest to the reader to learn from my experience and apply this to whatever mover you choose. read more

I contacted this company in November/December of 2025 to handle my move from Wichita Falls to Montana. Tommy was a great salesman but that's where it stopped. After revising my move 2x with him at some point my refrigerator, washer and dryer were all removed from my move. I was also reassured by Tommy that my move would be fully handled through them and they would not "sub-contract" any part of my move. When the crew showed up at my house they were in a unmarked 26" truck with a different company name on the side. Half way through loading up my belongings, the move manager on site stopped me to take the last part of my payment. I was quoted $4,000 for my move but all of the sudden it bloomed into $8,000. When I asked, the guy said they had to box 2 items for me, move my refrigerator (charged me to take my front door off and disassemble the unit to get it out of my house), my washer and dryer. I was also informed that this would take up more room on the truck and that they could not stack anything on top of them so I had to pay a little extra there as well. They also picked up my motorcycle which was on the list but said there was an additional $750 charge for it being on the truck for "storage". I had to move so I paid the bill. They told me that my items would arrive in the last week of January 2026 to the first week of February 2026. After completing loading everything up the manager pulled me aside and told me it was customary for me to tip the two guys that did all the work $400 for all their hard work. I don't keep cash on me but I did have a little bit in my car for my 28 hour drive to Montana with my two boys. When I gave them $20 each, they looked at me and then began saying something in Spanish to each other so I couldn't understand it. I'm assuming they were mad that it was only $20. Fast forward 2 months later and I still hadn't received my items and after speaking with them on multiple occasions, they had multiple excuses why they were 2 months late. When they finally showed up, the gentleman that delivered my good was once again in a vehicle that had a completely different company name on it. I asked him if he worked for the company and he politely told me no. Then asked why and I explained that they had told me my goods would always be with them and they would not sell off my job. He did a great job and unloaded my items into my temporary storage unit in less than an hour all by himself. The team of 2 back in Texas took almost 3 hours to load the truck. While talking to him, I noticed that my washer and dryer were stacked on top of each other as well as things being stacked on top of my fridge. I asked him if he loaded it or them and he told me that they did. I find it funny that it was okay they were stacked in his truck to come here but I had to pay extra since they couldn't be stacked on top of each other in Texas. I was also informed by the move manager that I would be receiving a refund of an undisclosed amount for the delay in getting my items here. I also found that I was missing a few lawn items, was charged for 40 boxes but only received 27 when it arrived along with few other things. For the last 3 weeks I have been calling them and leaving voicemails for someone to call me back but I have not gotten any response. Today, I informed them if they didn't call back I would be reaching out to a lawyer. Please take you time in searching for a mover and no matter how in dire need you are, DO NOT USE these people. They are an untrustworthy business and need to be shut down. Looking them up on the DOT site, they are marked as not being a broker. We know for sure because we have been communicating with 1 person in particular and their name is a five star review. Wow! The absolute worst company ever. They answered the phone and communicated very well when they were trying to get our deposit of $1,200 which was the highest deposit of all the moving companies. They got us to pay this because they quoted us the cheapest quote of only $2,300. ...BUT when they showed up, they changed the quote to $3,800 on top of the $1,200 deposit totaling $5,000. We declined due to this new increase of $2,700. They refused to give us back our $1,200 deposit. We literally had another company come and do the job same day for way less. My quote was 1800 by the time they delivered my small one bedroom apartment they charged me over $3000 dollars. They said they would refund my deposit which they never did. The movers were tacky and kept asking for tips. They broke my lamp, water dispenser, coffee maker and I'm missing 2 really expensive boxes. The customer service is awful . They also have other legal claims against them. Please don't use them. It's honestly cheaper to pack your stuff in U-Haul and take it your self. Everything went wrong with this company! They overcharged even though I gave specific information then threatened to leave by items at some warehouse in Dallas until I paid them. The owner, Zach (Yara and Shlomi Ohaha) lied and said my items hadn't left Texas yet and he would drop them back at my empty house - not knowing I had a tracker in my stuff and knew where it was. Then my stuff was transferred twice to 2 different companies and sat at someone's house in Las Vegas for 2 days. After all that, he offered $350 back to me (but overcharged over $1,100). Still haven't been repaid anything. Please do not use this company. They also drug furniture over my wood stairs and broke a bed - told me to prove they did it. We relocated from Texas to North Carolina in May of this year. We were originally quoted $18,000. We moved out of a 3800 sq ft house, so admittedly have a lot of stuff. They requested to come over to start packing, and that day we were informed that there would be an extra $3,000 charge since we live on a hill. Tommy actually looked up our house on GoogleEarth the day the reservation was made. IF THERE HAD BEEN A PROBLEM GETTING THE TRUCK TO OUR HOUSE THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US AT THAT TIME.They didn't. When the showed up to pack the day before we were scheduled to move, the crew chief told me about the extra $3000 charge. When I balked about the last-minute charge that we hadn't planned for, he sent the packers OUTSIDE and yelled at me, saying that if I didn't like it, they could pack up and leave and we could find another company. We were kind of over a barrel at that point, and felt we were stuck. When I told him we would be leading a negative review, he said to write whatever I wanted to...they would refute it, and it wouldn't make a bit of difference. HE LITERALLY YELLED AT ME. On top of this one packer hung around and tried to guilt me into a tip, even after I explained that we just didn't have it due to the extra $3000 we had been charged at the last minute. Everything has now been unpacked, and some antique items are missing, and we have found items stuffed in supposedly empty suitcases, and some boxes had ZERO labeling. On top of this, some items were broken; some pieces were antique and had sentimental value. They weren't packed well. I was told we couldn'tfile an insurance claim because we don't have all of the paperwork, even though I found everything I was given. I was told that THEY dont have copies of anything. Why not??? We would NEVER, EVER recommend this company to anyone. 1 star is still too many. Texas Movers Group gave me one of the worst consumer experiences I've ever had -- and nearly got away with it. After speaking with a rep named Austin for two months, I booked a Binding Not-to-Exceed estimate for a long-distance move from Dallas to Las Vegas. The quoted total was $2,408.85 based on an inventory I provided in good faith. Everything seemed legit. Austin was personable and kept calling to check in until I finally signed on February 26th (NOT December, like they later claimed). But on March 21, 2025, the day of the move, the crew showed up and pulled a textbook bait-and-switch. They claimed my volume was "way over" and tried to raise the total cost to nearly $5,000 -- literally double the contract. I even agreed to leave some items behind to stick with the original volume, but they still refused to honor the contract and stuck with the $5,000. When I said no, they left -- then told my bank I had "canceled" and only refunded me $221 out of a $1,100+ deposit. Let's be clear: I didn't cancel. I didn't authorize any changes. I never signed a revised estimate. No service was performed. They were banking on me being desperate -- and honestly? Most people would be. You're packed, time-sensitive, and cornered. But I managed to find another mover that same day, and they did the job professionally for $3,800 -- still under what Texas Movers tried to force on me. This company lures you in with the lowest quote in the market, then shows up and demands double when you're most vulnerable. After this happened, I checked Yelp -- and yep, this is their pattern. It's not a one-time thing. It's a business model. I've filed complaints with the BBB, CFPB, and Texas Attorney General. We were not told that it would take 3-5 DAYS for our belongings to get to our new address. So they're going to ship our things on a truck with other people's? They destroyed an antique table and then argued with me that it "was not broken" but it was laying in two pieces on the floor!!! I told them it was very fragile and needed to be picked up from the base but since the workers don't speak english they grabbed the table from the top and broke a $5,000 antique but since I didn't buy the extra insurance I get maybe $100. Also completely destroyed a large desk, 50 year old wooden storage cabinet, wooden shelving unit and bicycle. Damaged, rock maple dining table, clothes dryer, bookcases and many boxes were crushed. There was NO care taken with our belongings. Took them 10 days to deliver our destroyed belongings. They won't let you leave clothes in the dressers because it means more boxes for them the charge you for and they underestimated the move cost and space on the truck. The movers who actually packaged/unpackaged everything up were great, both in Dallas and Chicago; however, the customer service was not. 2 of our items were damaged in the move. We paid $1000 to receive expedited service. Our furniture did not arrive on the date promised so we had to sleep on our floor for several days. They did refund us the $1000, but I really don't think they would have if we hadn't asked. I believe his name was Zack, was in charge of the pickup. He added a stair charge fee even though we told him our stairs at our new place were inside (per their policy you won't be charged for stairs that are inside the building). He estimated our furniture would take up half of the truck and this is what our final square footage cost would be based on. He left as soon as I signed the contract, he never showed us how much of the truck our furniture actually took up. Michelle (customer service) was very hard to get in contact with when we had problems. When we told her the movers left a mark on our ceiling she asked us, "How did you know it was them?" When we told her about our experience with Zack she didn't believe us. Our final balance was more than twice as much as what we were originally quoted for, granted, we added things but not that much. Have your movers come in person to assess the square footage of your furniture instead of doing it online so you are not blindsided but the final cost after they load everything up**** I would look elsewhere for movers. read more

**READ THIS FIRST** FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY & VERBAL ABUSE & THREATS TO OUR SAFETY. I'd rather walk everything I own on my back cross-country than breathe the same air as these people again. While they are scammers, they are unfortunately also the dumbest, most incompetent people I've ever met in my life. And now they've messed with someone who actually has power in the state of Texas- whoopsie! First, let's be clear, the GOOD reviews on here are FALSE. See attached screenshots where in 3 instances one of the low-life dudes we worked with wrote reviews himself. Another screenshot shows where they have been SUSPENDED from Yelp reviews for too many fraudulent reviews from the same IP address. Second, they have also received so many bad reviews under their old name "Southern Relocation Services," that they had to dissolve and reopen under this one (which I'll make sure has to be done again and again and again so long as they stay in business scamming innocent people- I do website marketing for a living, I can do this in my sleep). My experience: on December 7, 2022 I received a quote with a "winter discount" from Texas Movers Group. I inquired about a first responder discount, as my husband is a first responder. I was told the first responder discount is 15% off services (have in writing from Bryan Stevens), but the discount I was receiving on my current quote was higher so they would honor the higher quote (it was 15.74% discount) - that is the discount I signed the contract for. Upon arrival at my home, I was told the price had gone up severely (granted, we were moving more stuff so we expected that). When I questioned "Steven" Chlomi Ohana about the discount, he became aggressive and said, and I quote, "not my problem." When I then called to speak with someone more reasonable, I got Michelle Morrison, the most laughably unprofessional woman I've ever spoken to. She proceeded to literally CUSS ME OUT and threaten me. See SEVERAL other reviews on Michelle's inability to control her anger- literally a disgrace to women in the workforce anywhere. I have never been so embarrassed for someone else in my life, and I hope she gets the help she desperately needs. Then I turned around the find Chlomi screaming and threatening me at my door. Yup. Threatening my life to take one step closer to him in my OWN HOUSE. He said he'd dump our belongings if we didn't hand over our credit card and sign, which my husband did because he was threatened and scared for our safety, while I locked myself in my bathroom for safety. Afterwards, we called to inquire with Chlomi about the discount again when we noticed we were charged 1:) 2000sq feet when we were told it was 1800 2:) a fuel price based on 2000sq feet and 3:) no first responder discount OR the original promised & contractually agreed upon "winter discount." I have on video Chlomi confirming ALL of this and saying he'd fix the price. They never did. They charged our card in full (breaking the signed contract that says it would be 60% before delivery) and never honored our discount. So much stuff was delivered broken (mover said it was the worst job he's ever seen), which we filed on insurance for. They try to get you to speak with "their personal rep," which is hysterical. The fact that the owner of Texas Movers Group hasn't fired the toddler (Michelle) that handles the business side of things should be telling enough to run for your life. They don't list the owner of the company because it's all a scam. They preach "family-owned" and yet not one person is even of the same background or related to each other. When I filed with the BBB, Texas Movers Group stupidly (for them, great for us) admitted to bait-and-switching us in writing. So, it is my utmost pleasure that we'll now be suing them for money owed + the fraud they admitted to online and on video, as well as reporting them to the Attorney General, DOT, DTPA, all realtors/moving companies in the area and opening an investigation with the local news stations. Please avoid this company. There are plenty of others out there and hopefully they are less risky. We have moved often and the moving process is not new to us. Let's start with a review of the estimate process. First, as I explained to the TMG representative the layout and our belongings and he was very quick to give an estimate of $1,900. I thought this to be too inexpensive, did not really believe him, and fortunately budgeted for more. I was shocked he did not ask for a video of the premises (we have used Facetime with other movers). I explained I thought the estimate was too low. He seemed offended that I was questioning his expert judgement. In the end, the total cost was $4,730! His "expert" estimate was way off. This process seemed very much a "bait and switch" type of estimate. I can attest to the other reviews that mention this. Let's discuss transport. We were moving the week before Thanksgiving (truck was loaded November 19, 2020). We were informed it would be delivered after Thanksgiving with an estimate sometime the week after. Fair enough. When December 7 came and went with no delivery or communication I contacted TMG. I was immediately informed my contract indicates that they have 21 days after 1st Available Delivery Date (November 29, 2020) to make the delivery. The catch is that the 21 days STARTED on November 29 not November 19 when they actually picked up the items. We received a call from the driver on Saturday December 13, 2020 indicating our delivery would be "arriving tomorrow" (Sunday, December 14, 2020). Nope...the day came and went...no call, no text - despite me attempting to contact the driver three times. I called TMG on Monday December 14, 2020 and asked where and when we would see the driver. I was informed dispatch would be in touch with me. Finally, on Tuesday we heard from the driver indicating our belongings would be arriving on Wednesday. Okay, we moved our scheduled activities. The driver called us twice that day, once to tell us a delivery was being argued by the customer and the company and he was waiting for directions about how to proceed. The second call was to tell us he would not make it, and we should expect delivery on Thursday. He did arrive on Thursday. Let's discuss the condition of our boxes. When the driver arrived, he was apologetic explaining he could not leave the previous site until the matter had been resolved by customer and moving company. Totally understandable and not his fault. Then, he asked me to look at the condition of the boxes because he did not want to be blamed. He explained he had picked up the trailer already packed and was delivering and unloading. I have included pictures of the boxes and their condition. It was very clear that the boxes were not stacked but thrown as they were almost all "blown out." Further, we had one box of a delicate art item that never arrived. My guess (I own it is a guess) is that given the abusive handling of boxes, it did not survive and was discarded. A mattress was wrapped in plastic by the movers when we packed, but when it was unloaded the plastic had been torn open and on edge of the mattress clearly was unprotected and black from dirt, water, etc. So, here we are just happy and relieved to have our belongings and away from TMG. Please consider another group as there are plenty to choose from so take this one off your options list. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would! From start to finish this was the worst experience of my life. My boxes arrived 2 weeks late and were damaged. When the truck finally arrived my boxes fell out of the back of the uhaul they forced me to have to pay for because the incompetent truck driver said he couldn't make it down my street. The manager lady was so rude and uncaring about what was going on and the communication between her and her drivers was nonexistent. He said one thing she said another. A $3900 move ended up costing me over $10000 and when I filed a claim about missing boxes no one has ever gotten back to me. Completely unprofessional would not recommend!! read more

Price went up 200% from the quote. I had to be out of my house and they already had everything on the truck when they told me the final price. They take a credit card for your down payment, but if you want to use one at any other time they charge you a 3% fee. I told them I did not have a home where I was moving and I needed them to store my goods for me. On my drive to my new location I get a call from the driver saying he is in my new city and wants to unload my things. So, they rented a storage facility and unloaded my items into that - they now say that because they did that it counted as delivery. The most DISHONEST company I have ever dealt with. RUN! read more

If I could give it a zero rating I would. We moved out of state and they transferred our load from one truck to another. All of the fragile boxes that had been stacked on the top of the load was transferred to the bottom when they moved the load. Even the movers in our new state asked us who loaded the truck because of the damaged boxes and the sounds of broken glass. They broke an antique table and nightstand. The the legs right off. Also note, the "inventory sheet" that you complete to get your proposal is useless, the load goes by cubic feet. Once you fill up your space you are SOL .... or they want a bunch more money. We had to rent a U-Haul to bring what did not get on the truck. In addition the truck driver here emptied the trash out of his truck and left plastic from the beds, plastic zip ties and even the water bottles and lunch trash in the middle of our garage. We paid over $6,000 for them to move us 250 miles and we had about $1,000 in damages. We filed a claim and their "insurance" is none existent. All of the items damaged in the boxes were denied despise the pictures provided clearly showed the damage as the boxes were unloaded from the truck. They were denied because they (TMG) had not packed them. As for the furniture they approved the claim and will pay by weight... $48.... $48 is what they proposed to pay for an antique side table. Horrible experience. The manager Zach was the rudest person I have ever encountered. Tommy Lee is a flat out liar. Michelle tries to intimidate you all while they are raising your move feee. I was quoted a fee that was non- negotiable and by the state of Texas they are mandated to uphold. I was still charged more than double my original quote. When everything was finally delivered I was able to see what they charged the driver vs. me. It was DOUBLE the sq ft I paid for. unfortunately, after all this I did more research and they do this to everyone. Any positive review on here is fake or a friend. I'm absolutely impressed with this company, especially Roy that took care of our family from start to end. The crew that came to our house was amazing too, Michael and his crew did a wonderful job of wrapping and carrying our stuff very quickly but carefully. We just got our delivery and besides a minor broken leg of a shelf which was old and already wobbly everything is in a good condition. Initially had a decent experience with this company. The initial estimated price was way different from what they were charging me by $700, but Zack helped take care of it. However, after I made it to my destination there were more fees told to me. My items were delivered and a lot of my stuff came to me broken, including bowls, plates and my bookcase which was all marked FRAGILE. But the boxes were smushed and now I have to come out of pocket to replace these items. Also 3 items were missing from my delivery. I will NEVER Recommend this company. Horrible experience. Worst damn service ever. Prior to the credit card authorization, their phones will go through all the time, at anytime. After the contract has been signed and they have your $475 deposit it's all silence. They say email him and he will always check and respond to emails, even at home. Lies... Email and 12 phone calls and still no answer on the day of what the promised date was said. Their communication is thee worst. They say pick up at 11-12 when they call you at 9 and you call them at 12 they say "we just finished unloading and now we gonna go on lunch. Okay, like we need to eat" as of our time waiting for them doesn't matter. I mean, I get that we humans all need to eat but don't just tell me a time and not stick to your words. People have things to do and lives to live. Then the movers have the balls to ask for tips. That's a solid NO from me. Not with that kind of service. Can't just be sitting around all damn day waiting for them to call, to email you back, and to wait for them to pick up. Save the hassle, go somewhere else. There's plenty of businesses out there that will take you seriously and values your time. They said drop off will be on Friday, they didn't come until Tuesday. They do say per contract they've 21 days. They ended up charging me almost $3000 instead of the initial $1900. Seems like $1900 is the scamming magically number here. Don't trust them that it will be the final cost at all. Apparently estimate was $1900 and $3000 is still "a good deal" to them *eye roll* They charge like 3% if you use a credit card. I didn't care because I wanted buyer's protection. He then tried to convince me to do 50% cash and 50% on the card. That will be a no as well. Shady business calls for extra protection just in case they do something funny. My friends are moving cross country and asked for their information. I have moved literally all over the world and this was without a doubt the worst move I've ever experienced. I shared an inventory for my 2-bedroom apt and got a bid. When the movers arrived the amount doubled. Their packing was throw stuff in the box--and then they refused to unpack. See the pictures of the packing. They demanded payment in cash before unloading, then initially refused to even remove boxes I'd emptied until I called the manager. And the last picture is how they left it. Most HORRENDOUS company ever. The DISPATCH MANAGER Michelle and the SALES REP BRIAN are most dishonest, liars I have ever dealt with in my life. Exactly like other reviews on here these people RIP you off to the core. I was provided a quote of $3,150 and when the rep came for the visual he quoted 50% higher and provided a lame reason that the house stuff will not fit within 600 cubic feet: it needs 1000 cubic feet space. I mean what BS is this; its my day to move as I am working towards a tight timeline; he doesn't refund my 20% advance payment, refuses and walks out of the door. I am left scrambling at the last minute where I need to pack on my own and end up losing the 20% advance. I mean run away from this company, RUN away from these liars. Texas Movers Group is running a SCAM operation. The sales person tells you what you want to hear and then dispatch screws you. The sales person committed to a move date on a Friday and then Dispatch shows up a day earlier and tells my wife it's now or never AND THEY CANT COME ON THE DAY THE SALES MAN PROMISED. On top of this horrible treatment they refuse to issue a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHJNG. My wife's father just died and she's trying to pack up his belongings and the dispatch manager MICHELLE could give a damn. This is NOT how you run a reputable business. read more

I would not recommend this company for a couple reasons. First of all, there were so *many* hidden fees that we were not expecting. This is the last thing you want during an already expensive move! The movers were very nice, but were 2.5 hours late and chose not to use the elevator, which slowed the speed down a lot. Bryan was nice to work with, but management was combative and made me feel like the issues were my fault. Would not recommend. We ended up caring down the bed and several boxes ourselves to speed up the move. read more
