I've been going to Dr. Rosen Schmidt for 3 or more years now for my migraines. She's the second neurologist I've had and is amazing. She's straight to the point and truly listens to what you share regarding your symptoms. You're able to go in office and every now and then have virtual visits too which is nice. The appointments aren't too long, yet you're able to get everything done. They seem to be great with sticking with their schedule. She worked with me to figure out the best medication to prevent my migraines and treat them as they come. We were able to get my migraines down from twice a week to twice a month, if that. The office is a bit confusing to navigate with a lot of elevators and it's in a hospital so there's patient rooms with the same number as the office space read more

While Dr Ah-Habib is very good the office staff is terrible. They don't get back to patients in a timely manner and when they finally do they have an attitude problem. They don't process prior authorizations for necessary medications! I don't recommend this office and will be switching. read more

Impossible to communicate with them over the phone, which also happens to be the only way to make or change an appointment. My wife got a referral, and finally got an appointment after weeks of trying, then had to change it. Tried for days to communicate and they would not pick up the phone, so she was a no show. Called to reschedule almost every day for 2 to 3 weeks after that with no response, then went to the office in person and was eventually told that they were not going to take her in as a patient because she was a no call / no show. She called multiple times and left voicemails. Your incompetence is a waste of our time and prolongs an important medical diagnosis. Shame on you. People, get your referrals to a different neuro. Not worth the stress, you can do better. read more

Well, I am not alone! They already have horrible reviews. 2 stars ? That's a 40% approval . That's an " F " grade F for failing . They should be proud ! The receptionist's first words " hold " .... 7 minutes later , she comes on as if she's barbara walters interviewing me ! Had no interest to learn why I called. Very impatient and rude .She would not even let me speak. I wanted to explain why I called and every time she interrupted me asking questions such as what's your insurance , who is your GP ? Do you have a referral paper ? "I have to make a chart " she said . Well, I do not think so , because unless I like how I am being approached by the staff, I have no interest to make an appointment to see the doctor who is either too busy or too careless to be interested in how patients are treated in her office . If the front office has no patience making an appointment for two new patients, with great PPO plan, then GOD help those patients who do not have an option . I do not understand why any business owner, specially doctors put up with inferior team members. After all the person who picks up the phone makes the FIRST impression . They represent the doctor. Front office can make or break you. I should know. I am a retired oral surgeon who had 3 successful private practices for over 30 years. I have much more respect for a doctors who might answer the phone themselves ( which is what I did at times ) than having to put up with entitled disrespectful receptionists who would insult the patients . But this is a group practice and they don't care or they would do something about their horrible standing . Obviously, I will advise my GP , not to send anyone else to this office. read more

I appreciate the doctor was very kind but for the follow up appointment I was made to pay $55 to sit in a room for 40 minutes and then I had to get up to go ask for the doctor to come in because it was taking so long and she magically appeared. I was in the room with her for three minutes and all she told me was that they could not help me and I need to see an eye doctor. They wasted my time and my money. There's no way you should be charging people $55 for them to come in and have their time wasted and be told that you cannot help them. That should've been a phone call and I will happily remove this review if I receive a refund. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. It took me a couple weeks for anyone to respond to my multiple requests for an appointment even when my provider had sent over a referral. The office mgr had to call me at 6:30pm because they were having so many issues. I should have taken that as a sign. Later I had to move another appt and took almost 3 days to get a response to move it. It was stressing me out because I only heard from them when I was 2 days away from said appt. But what was so concerning was that in a 3 week period I had a brain MRI first, the next week an EEG and the following week an EMG/NCS. The diagnostic center said the doctor would get the brain MRI results in 1-3 days. Never heard from the doctor and when I called they told me I would get the results on the 3rd visit (week 3) when I was getting my EMG/NCS and that I would see the doctor. Imagine waiting 3 weeks to get results on the MRI. Nerve racking to say the least. So on said 3rd appt, the doctor came in and didn't know anything about reviewing all my test results that day. She said because of insurance it would have to be another visit. I asked her if she had even seen the results and she admitted NO!! WHAT??? It's been 3 weeks, she's had the results and she walks in blind with me not knowing my results of a very important test she KNOWS I'm concerned about. She reluctantly after my telling her I drive 45 mins to see her and basically insisting, esp since her staff told me she would be reviewing all results with me said I could wait and she would "squeeze me in" giving me the results of all 3 tests. So she comes into the room later, pulls up the results right in front of me and begins reading them. Now if I'm a doctor, I would want to look at these by myself so that I could prepare my own physical, emotional and verbal response to my patient if there was bad news. But no, we learned them TOGETHER. SO incredibly unprofessional. She has little empathy and emotion and doesn't "read the patient" for proper responses. So, she read that cold in front of me and then let me know. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this doctor (Dr. Zhao), nor this practice with the way it was either under-staffed or over-worked. Most seemed over-worked. There was one girl at the front desk that was nice and the nurse was nice but other than that, I'd recommend finding someone else. A doctor should be reading results as soon as they come in, esp in a neurologist office. I mean what if I had something like an aneurysm. Thankfully all results were good but that doesn't account for what should have happened. Very uncaring and unprofessional office/doctor. read more

I scheduled my first appointment for Nov 3 over the phone at this practice close to my home due to needing a 72 hour ambulatory EEG to test for epilepsy and figure out the cause of my seizures. Records had been sent over from my previous doctor that was retiring. I showed up at the office at the exact date and time of my appointment and the receptionist told me that I didn't have my appointment in the books, strange though that they had all of my records. I had been waiting for almost a month to be seen at this office and I get there and they lost my already confirmed appointment. I was so stressed out I sat down to fill out paperwork with my fiancé and ended up having a seizure episode in the waiting room. Had that not occurred I would not have been seen that day. Dr. Campbell seemed nice enough and they knew this other Dr's office I have been working with that are expecting the results of the EEG in order to continue treatment with me. Dana the medical assistant said that they'll be sharing all results with them. I left the office having been told that Neuline, the EEG company that would be coming out to my home would call me to set up everything. 3 weeks went by and I still had heard nothing. I must have called Dana the medical assistant a dozen times and left multiple messages with no call back. We were approaching Thanksgiving when I finally requested the direct number from the receptionist and I was able to get in touch to do the scheduling myself. Apparently Neuline had been waiting for the doctors orders , which I was told by the office they had already sent them off weeks ago and the next step was for Neuline to call me. I got the truth from Neuline, who said they only had just received the doctors order the day prior, not weeks ago like I was told by this incompetent, lying staff. When I called back to complain, they simply said sorry and didn't offer me to voice concerns to a manager or anything. I just want my EEG done, so I told her that it was unacceptable and the receptionist or whoever I spoke to said she would let Dana know my thoughts. My other doctor and I have still been expecting the EEG results. It's been over a month now. I had called the office 2 weeks ago and was told Dr. Campbell has the results, he just hasn't read them yet. I called again just yesterday and finally Dana answered the phone, and she told me they have not received the report from Neuline yet. I called Neuline and they told me they sent the report Nov 27. It is now Dec 14. Neuline called the office themselves to explain how to access and have the doctor sign the report. They were kind enough to call me back to update me but I STILL have not heard from Texas Neurology Consultants. As of today, my other Dr. who has been expecting results to resume treatment for me has not received the EEG results and when I called the office again, I got voicemail for Dana once more. What's the point of leaving a voicemail for her if she's not going to call me back, ever? Not once! I left one anyway and called again to leave a second one for the practice manager to voice my complaints. I will NOT be returning to this disorganized mess of a practice and will be taking my records elsewhere as soon as I get these results. read more

I have persistent eye twitch that has been occurring for the last few years. Prior to the visit, I have been to a GP, an eye specialist and have had an MRI with no distinct diagnosis and no relief. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Shari Rosen-Schmidt, M.D., P.A. who I discussed my medical history and she conducted a through examination. I found her engaged in our conversation and candid with her responses. I asked additional questions regarding other medical questions and she provided clear and detailed answers. I do not enjoy going through the process of seeking medical treatment, but Dr. Shari Rosen-Schmidt made the experience extremely tolerable and I will anticipate the same in future treatment visitations. read more

Neurologist # 6, Shari Rosen-Schmidt, M.D., P.A. After picking up all my records from WannaBeShrink and The Pawn and TheTaper... all of who work in the same office, I found Dr. Rosen-Schmidt in May 2008. After going thru my entire medical history over the past three years, she said the first thing she was going to do was schedule me for a nerve conduction study that ThePawn promised, but never delivered on. When this test was complete, she said something I had waited nearly 3 years to hear. "Everything is negative, therefore those symptoms can only be contributed to the Chiari". After looking at my MRIs she also notated that the area around my cerebral tonsils looked very compressed and that I might consider seeing a neurosurgeon (I had seen 4 of them already... those reviews are coming). Just when I thought I was making progress, she proceeds to tell me that she will refill my prescriptions, but she suggested I look for another doctor. She specialized in clinical neurophysiology and electrodiagnostic medicine and since my nerve conduction studies were negative... she didn't think she could help me. And that she normally referred her bad headache patients to ThePawn who I had just picked up my records from. Well great. At least I had a year's worth of my prescriptions and that would just have to hold me until I found another doctor. I have no doubt that Dr. Rosen-Schmidt is probably very good at her specialty, but her honesty left me physician-less for about a year. read more

Dr. Rosen-Schmidt saw my husband but we had to request all the tests based on guesses of what is wrong with him. She didn't initiate any testing. When I questioned my husband's abnormal spinal tap, she told me it wasn't "abnormal enough" to worry. Well, now that he's seeing a good neurologist, that abnormality is the cause of my husband's issues. Dr. Rosen-Schmidt could have saved us months of testing, other doctors and my husband getting worse. Run away from her. She doesn't care about the patient. Her staff is bad as well. We had to make multiple phone calls to get someone to follow-up on test orders, paperwork transfers, etc. read more

My wife has back pain issues that will likely require surgery (pharmaceutical, injections, PT, etc. haven't worked). She was working with Dr. Charisse Barta at Texas Neurology Consultants. First, I will say that Dr. Barta was very nice. But, I do not feel that she managed a treatment plan at all. She simply prescribed some medications and told my wife to go to PT. There was not discussion of what to expect, what subsequent steps would be taken if they didn't work, how long before any change might be expected, how long before these treatments should be considered ineffective, etc. It seems to me that back pain issues--which can be complex--should be managed through a treatment plan with more care. The larger issue is the doctor's office at Presbyterian Plano (at 6124 Parker Road, Suite 336). The staff in that office were rude and unhelpful to the point that my wife is now finding another doctor. Specifically, the Office Manager, Laurie M. Cyprus, was very hard to work with. If I were a medical professional, she is definitely not the kind of person I would want representing me to patients. I would say that Barta's treatment was enough to give my wife second thoughts whether to continue with her, but that the office staff's lack of professionalism was the deciding factor. It is not worth dealing with rude staff, especially when you are in severe pain. read more

If I could give negative reviews in here I would. My mom was referred to this practice and let me state she doesn't like doctors in general. Stems from the way she was raised but having said that, we finally manage to get her to see a neurologist and she has to wait over an hour and a half at her initial appointment to see the doctor. Doesn't help someone when they have a ridiculous wait- just builds up anger and frustration. So the doctor ordered an MRI which is fine. When we called to let them know she will have difficulty staying still for the scan and she would probably need a sedative or what could they recommend...... never got a call back! Needless to say she moved multiple times during the MRI and we probably won't have any results. We have called since the MRI to discuss with them and can't get a single call back. Don't waste your time, this practice isn't mildly empathetic and understanding. read more

I visited the office for an initial appointment and scheduled a follow up. I called to cancel the follow up within the proper time. I left a voicemail, because you can never get through to speak to a person in this office. I received a voicemail the day before the appointment stating they wanted to clarify if I wanted to cancel or reschedule the appointment. I tried to get through and could not. There was only a recording to call back during business hours, but the business hours were not given. There was no option to leave a message. I thought it was understood that the appointment was to be canceled, because on my voicemail I clearly said I was calling to cancel my appointment. However,apparently the person reviewing the message kept the appointment on the schedule. This was in April 2016. I have been receiving a $50 bill go no showing. I've tried to call numerous time within the business hours I think they're open. Because again business hours are not stated on the recording. I work during the day and cannot consistently keep trying to reach someone in this office. I left a voicemail today. We'll see if I get a call back. This charge is ridiculous! I won't be back! Today, 1/16/17, Jasmina from Dr Reddi's office sent me a text to say the charge could not be waived because the paperwork states that you must cancel 24 hours prior. I texted back, I canceled more than 24 hours prior. Am I crazy or why are they texting me and not calling me. I left a voicemail last week about this issue! I kept the recording from the person the day prior to my appointment. It's just waiting for someone to listen to it! This is ridiculous! read more

Be sure you pick the right doctor the first time, because you won't be able to change to a different one if you don't like them. In my case, there is doctor #1 who I missed an OBVIOUS problem on my MRI in 2007. When he couldn't diagnose me he told me he'd give me a prescription for high blood pressure pills (even though I don't have HBP) because sometimes they help to treat headaches. Really? OK that's pretty poor care. Now in 2014 I can't see doctor #2 because they don't "share patients" even though I made it clear that I wouldn't take my dog to see doctor #1 because of the unacceptable care that I received from him in 2007. Is this a good-ol'-boy issue or what? I can't believe that this practice has such a stupid "rule". But oh well. Probably for the best since I don't appreciate inflexibility from my care-giver who is supposed to be working for me and not the other way around. Then there's the fact that you have to leave a voicemail for the doctor's assistant when you want an appt instead of calling and making an appt with the person who makes the appointments. Never encountered such a dumb way for anyone to make a doctor's appt before. Ya know, there are a TON of neuro docs in the metroplex. You guys aren't the only ones or probably even the best. Just sayin'.... maybe you should get over yourselves. read more

I had an appointment with a neurologist, Dr. Barta today. I was referred to her by my concussion specialist. I had an MRI and was referred to Dr. Barta, to treat my symptoms--won't go into detail, but they are severe. I have health insurance and own my own business (I can pay the bill) but when the Dr. found out I had been in a car accident (a car rear-ended me going 70 MPH, I was going 35), they told me "sorry, we can't treat you because we may not get paid". I literally fell apart. It was so upsetting--and I asked them if they were serious, that they would refuse to treat me, even though I have health insurance, a job and could pay the bill on my own w/o insurance if needed. Nope. They didn't want to risk not getting paid b/c it had to do with a car accident. They ran my credit card for the $50 copay though--TWICE. What a horrible experience. read more

I saw Dr. Reddi about a multitude of symptoms I've been experiencing. Long story short, she shamed me about my history of depression and anxiety, shrugged and told me maybe it was symptoms related to non-pain migraine and recommended I try high blood pressure medication (and I have low blood pressure, fyi) for my symptoms. Needless to say, I got a second opinion. My new neurologist ran some tests and FOUND AN ANEURYSM on the rear right side of my brain. Thank God I was smart enough to go to another doctor because this was something that could have actually killed me and this woman, Dr. Reddi, was shrugging off my symptoms and me. DO NOT go to Dr. Reddi or to Texas Neurology Consultants. Your life actually depends on it. read more

After my intial visit, Dr. Rosen Schmidt scheduled a brain mri and an emg. Although I had already been thru 2 emgs before. She concluded that she knew the doctor of the one who read my emg and she didnt trust his findings. So I scheduled the emg. Got to the office and proceeded to not be greeted by the front desk. They wanted 70 dollars for the test. I asked if that was based on the allowable insurance price. The insurance lady came out and said that the 70 is an estimate. I asked why is it an estimate when you know what your allowable charge is. I then asked how much the test was and never got an answer. I said I would pay 50 and then I had a credit on my account but the insurance lady said the credit was caculated in the 70 dollars. I received no paperwork or a statement from this office. After the insurance lady agreed 20 minutes later the office manager came out and said I needed to pay the 70 dollars before the doctor would do the test. At this point my husband was very upset and the manager said call security and kicked us out of the office. This all was out in the lobby which violates hippa regulations not to mention embarrassing. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. The office staff are awful and refuse to give you any proof of what you asked for financially. All doctors office know their allowables so they can figure your copay. If the doctor decides more testing is needed at the time then you can always pay more when you check out. OH and I forgot to mention the first visit they over charged my copay, therefore my reasoning of only paying the 50 dollars. I never have had a doctors office refuse to care for me and especially over such a little amount of 20.00. 12/31/2017 Just to follow up - don't give up. Found doctors that helped me and they all actually took the time to figure out what was wrong with me. Don't let doctors tell you otherwise. It's a very frustrating process but when u find the right doctor that takes his/her time with you and who actually cares about patients, keep them!! It took me over 3 years to get my medical team in place. I guess you have to weed the bad ones out from the good ones. read more

THEY NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ANSWER THE PHONE! You are subjected to a long and ridiculous amount of information by the answering system. You're told to leave a message and they will return your call when they can "in the order it was received." Then they tell you not to leave multiple messages. You're stuck on a frustrating merry go round of continuous phone tag of back and forth calling. They expect you to sit around all day waiting for them to call you back and if that call is missed you're back to square one. It's the most bizarre and frustrating way to deal with seeing a doctor I've ever experienced. Soooooooooo not worth the effort or the money. Most of the staff are rude which I'm sure stems from being constantly yeld at by patients for being put through this absurd craziness. As if Americans aren't put through enough stress already when it comes to medical care and it's expense; this kind of office only adds to that madness. Save your time, money and energy by going somewhere else! No doctor is worth this kind of trouble and effort. Oh and I forgot to mention the long wait time once you finally get to the doctors office.
