What an amazing company personally, the owner showed up and helped out my wife when I was out of town with a newborn in the house he showed up on time super professional shoe covers. She was so happy and so relieved that the unit was up and running within 30 minutes. After calling and having several companies come and diagnose my hvac issue.. was told that my 3 year old unit was bad and needed to be replaced, Chaz and Brantley came and it took them 10 minutes to find a bad capacitor, unit was up and running in an hour, and only a few hundred dollars.. not 11,000$ that I was quoted by a different company.. their honesty and friendly service blew me away, I was so relieved to have it fixed and not replaced. Worst company I have every had the experience of dealing with. First they sent someone out the first day and he did not diagnose the leak problem I had or the thermostat problem. The second person who came out the next day told me the the units needed to be leveled to improve the water drainage. When the second person left one of my thermostats went off within the hour, so I called to let them know and was told they would refund my money and for me to find someone else. The next day I got an e-mail with a quote to level the a/c units, so I was not sure if they had dropped me or not. I tried to call them to get on their schedule and discovered they blocked my calls. They refunded $20.00 out of $179.00 and then sent me a threatening e-mail accusing me of harassment among other things. You can not talk to anyone that is involved in making decisions only the poor woman that takes calls for appointments. I would not recommend this company to anyone, very unprofessional!! read more

WOW! Texas Pride installed a mini-split AC/Heating unit in a secondary dwelling / Tiny House on our property. The unit works great, and is energy efficient for our climate. We sincerely adored their staff, and the respect they showed for our military family was abounding. Just WOW is all I can say about this company. Had two air conditioner emergencies in the past month and both times they responded immediately and went over and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The second time they even arrived within five minutes!!! They were extremely knowledgeable and less than half the price of what my other air conditioner company had charged in the past and did everything they could to keep costs as low as possible while still maintaining high quality service and repair. It was a Saturday evening when I noticed that the house was warmer inside than usual. Ever since we bought the house 20 something years ago, I have had to get a little freon put in the unit about every 2 and a half to 3 years. We have friends that own an AC business and we have always had them come out and put freon in the unit. Our friends would try to sell us a new unit every time they came out. I would just laugh it off and have a beer with them, but really it bugged the crap out of me. What are friends for though, but to bug the crap out of you right. We always paid them their service call and for the freon they put in the unit. I called them the Saturday the unit was starting to need it's shot of freon. Our "friends" told me and my wife they couldn't come out till Monday so basically, we would burn up for the next 2 maybe 3 nights. They don't live far from us. I told my wife that I was calling someone else and cross my fingers they are honest. We figured if our friends couldn't come out till Monday, t I would never find anybody to make the weekend service call. The first 4 or five companies I called couldn't make till Monday either. I was fixing to give up when I called Texas Pride Heating and Air conditioning actually, I made an appointment on their web site. Looking at the schedule I almost fell off my chair because they had an opening at 4:00 PM and it was already 1:30 PM. I made the appointment ang got an email back almost immediately, hey surprised again saying Chaz would be there at 4:00. I got a text at about 3:30 saying Chaz would be there in 30 minutes well he made it in about 20. He was very nice and polite and business like all at the same time. The unit was frozen up so he turned off the compressor and left the fan on and told me him or an associate would be back around 7:00 pm. I thought right. Well at 10 to 7:00 I got a text saying Patrick would be there at 7:00. I thought we'll see, 10 minutes later Patrick drove up. He was all work and in about 30 minutes told me about the valve on the outside unit was leaking, our friends for 40 years hadn't found that leak but told us they looked. Patrick did not have a valve with him, and he couldn't get one till Sunday morning. I thought well here we go. He told me he would be back out at 9:00 AM on Sunday remember it's Saturday, but instead of leaving us hot overnight he actually hooked his gages to the valves where the freon could not leak out into the atmosphere and put a little freon in the unit and left his equipment hooked up to the outside unit overnight. It was nice and cool all night. Patrick and Chaz showed up at 9:00 AM on Sunday morning. First, they had to drain the freon out of the unit to replace the valve they captured all the freon that was in the unit. When they had the valve replaced, they used the freon captured to fill the unit back up plus a little more, I needed a little more when I called so I was way ahead because they didn't charge me for filling the unit up with new freon. Patrick then went ahead and cleaned the coils inside and checked everything else. Everything else was fine and it was actually cold in the house. The whole time Patrick and Chaz was at the house never once did they tried to sell me a new air conditioner of course they told me I needed one, but I knew that. They did have a service that they offered where they came out 2 times a year and make sure it was running good. And no, they didn't push it on me. What they did when I told them I would sign up for the service they dropped the extra for the weekend call or even a service charge at all. Nothing for the visit because it was the kind of stuff they do in their service, didn't charge me for the valve and didn't even charge me for the freon the did put in the unit. This was a good company, especially if your always worried about getting scammed before you knew it like I am. It did cost a little more than just the charge for signing up for the service and I was very grateful when I paid it. The moral here is how good of friends are your friends or are they your friends at all. Yes it was a long review and I never do reviews but, Texas Pride Heating And Air Conditioning deserved a good one. read more
