Went for lunch and the ribs were clearly last nights. Parts of the ribs were cooler than room temperature(only one way that could happen) and all of it was dry. The self-proclaimed owner was defensive and unapologetic when he asked us how the meal was. I have eaten at many Texas Roadhouse locations and probably had the ribs 100+ times. These were obviously warmed up so not sure why the "owner" chose to defend it. Poor character! That will certainly affect my decision to visit this location again. Steaks, mushroom and fries were too salty. The knife for cutting steaks was too big for my nine year old daughter and during cutting process the whole steak fell on the floor and the waitress just made sure whether it was my daughter' s responsibility and then refilled my water without any suggestion. no peanuts any more and rolls were just ok. after dinner before I left I could not help telling the front desk guy that the too salty taste, he replied indifferently and perfunctorily. I went there a fe w times before with families or friends and had good impression with there but after awful experience last night definitely won't go or recommend any more. read more

The bread of Texas Roadhouse is always amazing! Always take additional box of bread home with me lol. The ribeye is also cooked so well. Good choice to go without seasoning, since the mushroom on top is a bit salty. When they combine, the flavor is just perfect for me. :) read more

I travel alot but Champaign is my home. For the past 4 weeks I have traveled to a different city for work. At least once during each of the weeks, I have gone to a Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I kept going back because of the quality cut of steak. I like, the 20 oz ribeye, medium rare. I actually was looking forward today in going to my local location for the same steak. The steak tonight was low quality compared to other steaks I've had at other Texas Roadhouses. Low quality in that it was super fatty and poorly seasoned. I compare this steak to getting the steak on clearance at the grocery store because it is too fatty and hard to sale. To top it off my wife's NY strip was fatty too. Customer service was good. We had a great experience here as always! Tonight even more so than usual because of the 'Touch a Truck' event that was going on. The restaurant really did a nice job lining up a lot of trucks and participation for the event. My son was in heaven. Thanks to all of the community supporters that were out there. It was great. Come to find out you can only accommodate a party of 5 or less. so, after being in the phone for 20 minutes, and still on hold when arriving for dinner, was told that we would have to have two tables, a table of 5 and a table of 4. If the website would have told us that we would have reserved online. Now we are having to wait an additional hour for a reservation of two tables! I'm going to start off by saying I LOVE Texas Roadhouse. But this location was... awful, it was so awful. I'll tell you why, and no, we won't be coming back to this location. We were seated immediately after calling ahead. We arrived to our table, weren't given any plates for the bread, so my Husband, myself and our kids were using the table for plates. one basket of bread was close to burnt. We were never asked if we wanted more. Our bucket of peanuts were sitting on an extra chair next to the table, instead of on the table. Had to get it ourselves and who knows whose butt has been on that chair. 2 of 5 drinks were messed up. Salad arrived before our silverware. My Husband's fork had a bent spoke, we already had enough at this point and asked for the manager. She apologized, took our bent fork and had to bring us more silverware. Rest of the food came. My Husband was missing his ribs off his plate and my steak was over cooked. I was seriously fed up at this point. But I was hungry and needed to eat so I sent it back for something edible in return. It took over 15 minutes for a replacement (it was cooked to perfection). Another manager came to ask if the steak was better, I told her it was so much better. But dang I waited a long time for it and by the time it arrived my family was almost finished with their food. After all the mess ups and complaints, we received our check, nothing was compensated for our horrible dining experience. I've never asked for a discount for food but this time the experience was so bad, no way was I paying for this disaster. After I told the waitress that I was shocked nothing was compensated,  she went back and talked to the manager. I use to get a good steak here. This last time it was three tries to get a medium filet. It kept coming back more charred each time. But the inside stayed medium rare. How?? My wife had her filet butterflied and medium. It came back the same. She forced it down. She was hungry. At this point I was mad. The waitress was awesome. Not her fault. The manager tried. Went here without kids, got a babysitter, and ended up waiting 53 minutes for our food. The table next to us received their food 20 minutes before we did and they sat down maybe 5-6 minutes after us. The sirloin and baked potato were really good! Amazing good. However, the NY strip was so fatty, that my husband could only eat half of it. The rest was fat. Our server, Jessi was really nice and relaxed at the beginning. When she would come check on us, she was definitely in a hurry like she didn't care about how our service actually was. She didn't even apologize for how long our food was taking. The gentleman that brought out our food, Cody, was great! Parking directions in place for social distancing but signage and directions unclear. There is a sign that directs you to first check in at the little kiosk but no one was there, door was closed, and a sign hung on the door that says proceed to Hostess Station. (Ok, so I guess the Hostess Station is inside). We walked in, and immediately we were aggressively asked if we checked in with the Hostess outside. I said that there wasn't a Hostess outside and that the little building was empty. "OH YES THERE IS" yelled the person behind the check in station. "NEXT TIME CHECK IN WITH THEM" she rudely told us. You could tell she was mad not only by the tone of her voice but also by the way she rolled her eyes. After being seated, we ordered our drinks, when they arrived we were asked if we were ready to order. I responded that we needed menus. Then the server informed us about the new way to view the menu. She explained that we are to use our phone to scan the laminated scan bar "thing" sitting on the table. Only problem was, I didn't bring my phone and wife left hers in the car. So she walks back out into the parking lot to retrieve her phone, I asked for a traditional menu. Wife still couldn't view menu on phone. Guess you have to have a scanner on your phone...our bad, I guess. Server took too long for everything. Too bbn long to bring my beer, too long to bring items like salt and pepper, too long to bring steak sauce etc. She seemed to take an inordinately amount of time taking an order from a table for 4 with whom she apparently knew while we were waiting to order another beer, but decided against it after waiting so long. The 2 men that were seated at the table that she apparently knew, seemed to amuse themselves by staring at me then whispering between themselves and laughing. One of these men played rap music on his phone so loud that I could hear it even as we were seated close to a speaker. What would Willy think? All in all, it was a bad experience from a place that used to be a great place to enjoy some great food, good country music, and just a great time. Now, these people have taken over and replaced the existing culture with their culture. A culture of rudeness and incompetence. They have destroyed a once fine institution , hell there was only one pretty girl there. Used to be nothing but pretty girls there. It's all gone! My friend and I were craving steak, so we thought we could come here for dinner.....bad mistake. We came in around 9:30 pm and was sitted right away. We were served with a lightly buttered roll with cinnamon butter, and peanuts (both free). The steak was good and cheap! Everything was good except our waitress. She was friendly, but really inattentive! She came to our table only two times! First time to take our order and second time to give us our bill. She didn't even serve us the food, a bus boy did. I don't mind whoever serves us our food, but I do mind that our server was chatting away with other servers across the restaurant. She thought we didn't see her, but we did. For the whole duration of our meal our server did not even pass by once! My water glass was EMPTY and my chilli did not come out until I pointed it out when she came by to give us our bill. I had a great time here with my friend for dinner on Sunday, but a few things added up for me to knock off a star. Despite coming on a weekend at dinner time, we had zero wait time because there were just two of us and staff were quick to get seated. PS I LOVE how they automatically bring a bowl of bread and their amazing cinnamon sugar butter over to the table with you. Their bread is honestly the best part of the meal for me. Our waitress was very accommodating when we asked for an extra minute and was upbeat and excited to talk to us the entire time. We ordered the fried pickles (delicious and a huge portion, great for splitting) which came with ranch and a cajun horseradish (surprisingly good) dipping sauces. We also ordered a full platter of ribs and a 10 oz. ft. worth ribeye steak, both to split. Each comes with 2 sides, so I got the corn and steak fries and my friend got the caesar salad and steak fries. The fried pickles came out first pretty quickly, and while we were munching on those, my friend's salad and my corn came, and shortly after that, our meat. The steak as absolutely delicious, slightly salty for my taste, but perfectly medium and very tender. I thought the flavor of the ribs were great, but they were slightly dry. I was super disappointed in the corn though because you could tell it came from a can. The real disappointment came with the fries, which...never came. We had to ask our waitress for them when she mentioned bringing over the check. She was very gracious about it and apologized profusely, but I was still disappointed that they didn't come on time, and after the fact, that we didn't get any sort of compensation for it. It's hard to track down your waitress in the restaurant because they're handling many tables at once and it's like a maze in there, so we didn't think it was our fault that they forgot the order. Regardless, we still had a great time and would definitely recommend this place if you're having a craving for some good old steak and potatoes. I use to really like texas roadhouse, but I don't know if my taste buds have changed or if the steak they made for me was really salty. We were lucky enough to get here early because there is a crazy long line for this place always. In addition the parking lot is crazy, too many pickup trucks and tight parking. You constantly are concern that your car is going to get hit or side swiped while eating. Servers are quick and efficient to keep the tide of customers through. I had the fort worth ribeye, cooked medium rare perfectly. The meat of course is not like you top notch steak house, but I don't remember it being so salty. You get two sides which is nice. I went with the baked potato with sour cream and chili. You get a nice unlimited serving of the yeast rolls which are delicious. Overall good, but not spectacular which is why it is a 3 star and not a 4 star.. Called for seating with a party of 8 for a joint birthday celebration. Was told an hour to an hour and a half wait which was fine. Manager said they couldn't seat 8 people only party of 6 and if we are still a party of 8 it would be two separate tables. We were okay with that since the manager said the tables would be next to each other. Was at the bar buying drinks and appetizers for over an hour when our message went off for our table. then they sat us at 2 tables of 4 on completely opposite sides of the restaurant. After talking to the manager who could careless our waitress didn't want to come near our table and was super awkward. We had to serve each table ourselves with the appetizers we ordered at the bar so we could all share. Had a large cake for the joint birthday but unfortunately was handed to us with our check by another manager so we didn't get to celebrate. They got the two stars for the food. Steak cooked perfectly. With the Covid scare, they were to go orders. We ordered with the app and when I got there they had no proof of my order. I should have the confirmation and they directed me to a parking spot where manager can speak with me. 10 minutes later I had to ask for the manager. This is a restaraunt that I'll frequent about once every 4-6-8 weeks or so depending on the occasion. The meal starts out with super yummy dinner rolls with the extra yummy cinnamony buttery spread (whatever it is). I normally don't go for sweet things. But I do have a soft spot for things with cinnamon in them. And these rolls with this spread was marvelous as usual. I've taken a picture of the items and have uploaded it to the photo section of this restaraunt. Next up is a 10 oz Ribeye. The cut of beef with the best marbeling for grilling. As anyone knows, it's the fat (or oil) that transmits flavor in food. The steak arrived and looks absolutely marvelous (also took a picture and uploaded it). A perfect medium that I will dig into very shortly. Very, very tastey steak. The server was exceptional. When my coke got to about half full, she brought another. Very nice attitude. This is NOT the place to go for party's over 5. The have NO concept of seating groups. We had a party of ten we were told we had to split up and may or may not be seated together. They took five of us back to a six top table the proceeded to take back six party's while the remaining five of us waited. There was a four top table RIGHT next to our first group and they took a party of two and sat them there. It would have worked out perfectly for our group. This Texas Roadhouse was so good all the way around!! We were seated almost immediately and then our waiter came and took drink order right away. We had Tyler and he was super good. He came and checked on us multiple times and never let our drinks run out. He was really friendly and made some good recommendations. Our appetizer was really good and came out hot and fast. We opted for the grilled shrimp. I ended up getting the grilled sirloin and it was done perfect. Had lots of flavor. Baked potato well it was a baked potato. My wife said her dish was awesome as well. Now here the kicker. I know there not known for their ribs and our daughter is a picky eater. Well she got the ribs and literally left a pile of bones. I love coming here! First of all, the prices are great and food is amazing! Today I got the Ft. Worth Ribeye and it comes with 2 sides! Not my first rodeo at a Texas Roadhouse but definitely the most disappointing. Early dinner but still mediocre service and less than appetizing food. This was a Thursday evening, hate to be here on a weekend. The atmosphere was more like a country bar than a restaurant. The music was so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation at our table. Who goes to a restaurant for the music?!! Turn it down or better yet off! When someone came to our table to ask about our experience, he had the demeanor of an exit poll taker. I blew him off and he left. We were shocked to hear him introduce himself at the next table as "one of the owners." There are many good restaurants in town that care about their customers and providing a comfortable atmosphere for diners. If you enjoy the rowdy atmosphere of a country bar, this place is for you.
