We stopped here when dropping off our daughter at VT and while it was packed, we didn't wait that long using the suggested wait time on the app after we added our name. We were seated quickly when we received the text that our table was ready. Our server Autumn was wonderful! Very attentive and so pleasant, made sure to check on us through out our meal. Our food came out quickly and tasted great! We ordered rattlesnake bites, salmon, shrimp, and a ton of sides. Texas Roadhouse is always a good time with great service! I go there and always get the 12 oz ribeye medium, a house salad w/ honey mustard, and corn. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Texas Roadhouse in Christiansburg, Virginia, is the perfect example. One of my best friends invited me to eat at this lively chain Steakhouse this Tuesday evening to celebrate with me my Birthday which was last week. Before leaving to the restaurant my friend gave me a Gift certificate to Blue Cow Ice Cream Co, my favorite Ice Cream Parlor in Roanoke, Virginia. We got their at around 4:30pm and the restaurant was already starting to get full. A friendly Hostess gave us a warm welcome and took us to one of the booths. Not long after that, our server Jackson came by, gave us a friendly greeting, and took our order. To drink my friend had a Diet Coke and I had a Dr Pepper. As appetizer, I used a Birthday coupon that I had received in an email and picked the Cactus Blossom, so we both could share. And as our main course, I ordered the Filet Medallions with Portabello Mushroom sauce and served over rice. My two sides were a Caesar Salad and Loaded Baked Potato. My friend ordered a 14oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye with a Caesar Salad and Sweet Potato as sides. Our server quickly went and placed our order and brought us our drinks. By that time an assistant server had brought us a basket with their famous yeast rolls and butter. Our server did an excellent job of checking on us to see that everything was fine and to bring us refills for our drinks. One of the times he came by, I brought to his attention that one of my 3 medium rare Filet Medallions was brittle. It seem that it could have been the way they cut it. He apologized and ordered a replacement Medallion that came back tender and juicy like it supposed to be. The server was happy that he was able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. During our time there, the manager on duty came by our table to greet and welcome us to the restaurant and to see if everything was to our liking. I highly appreciated that detail and thanked him for stopping by. This restaurant used to serve complimentary whole peanuts in a bucket. Now it started to do so, but in a sealed plastic bag. For dessert I had a Cheesecake with Strawberries and my friend had a slice of Apple Pie with vanilla ice-cream on top. They were delicious and a perfect grand finale to a wonderful meal and dining experience. This chain location hit the spot for a hungry family. Our party of 5 joined the waitlist and when we all arrived we were seated promptly: Service: our server was great! Took our orders right away, brought out the drinks(mostly waters) and made sure that we had plenty of those amazing rolls. Food: eating at this chain is always a good way to spend your hard earned dollars. Most meals come with 2 large sides that can include a full size salad. A couple of the guests got these amazing looking Caesar salads to go with their combo meals. I had a small appetizer meal of ribs and a baked potatoe. Well she gave Dolores Umbridge vibes and we were terrified of this lady and her unnatural smile. First my sisters steak was fresh off the cow and than it turned into a piece of rubber after it came back. All franny did was give us 10 dollars off for a steak that no one ate. She asked for med rare but I guess that was too much to ask for. You wanna know about ambiance? A fight broke out across the restaurant and the cops showed up. Idk what it was about it's none of my business but I feel like Dolores should have comped our meal. Especially since my ribs (which I always get) were dry. I had probably the worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse location that I have ever had. I've visited all throughout WV, VA, PA and TX. Several different locations. My visit tonight was horrible. The restaurant was as busy as a Thursday night in a restaurant will get, we had a party of 6 with 3 separate checks. Let me list everything that went wrong: -We didn't get our starter (fried pickles) until our server and the food runner brought our meal out, the pickles were not even warm they were floppy and room temperature. (There were two other appetizers ordered, one for each other couple that was at the table). -It took one person we were with, no joke, probably 15 solid minutes after everyone else got their drinks to get his water he ordered at the same time the rest of us did. -When the salads came out, there were 4 total for the table, one person we were with didn't get hers until probably 10 minutes after we did. When she got hers I was already done with mine. -One person I was with ordered 2 sides of chili to come out before the meal. He didn't get that until the checks came. -Any alcoholic beverage we ordered (7 total for the table) took entirely too long to make it to the table -Refills (on water) were non existent until it was time to talk about the Checks -Rolls had to be asked for not once but twice. -And figuring our checks out was a nightmare. It took our server at least 20 minutes to give each of us the correct check (after 4 attempts). -We never saw a manager either. Any other location I've seen at least one manager asking people if their doing ok this one did not. Complete nightmare of a visit. Our server seemed careless. As someone who has worked in the industry for 7 years, it's embarrassing. Constant issues the entire time. This location gets two stars only because the food all tasted good as far as I know (aside from the fried pickles). The cooks did great here. The rolls were also on point when they eventually made it to the table. So if you're not expecting good service but tasty food this is your place. read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews on chain restaurants. You know what you're signing up for when you make a decision to go. But this seems in line with other recent reviews that I feel I should I add mine. I placed an order to-go. The packaging and thoroughness in making sure I had all the ordered items was exceptional. The food however, waS beyond disappointing. The rolls were dense, burnt little stones. Clearly they were not allowed to rise and then left in the oven too long. The steak I ordered mid-rare was exceptionally rare. When the first slice on the end is still blue 3/4's of the way thru, it's obvious the person on the grill didn't know what they were doing. We've been in love with the Texas Roadhouse establishment for many years and always look forward to our dates nights there. We normally order appetizers, meal & sweets also typically tip very well. That is until visiting this particular branch. It was a complete letdown. Positive- Though they are very busy they got us seated in under 30min. Negative- They don't take care to ensure food safety standards are met in the kitchen. My husband found a grill brush wire in his food. This is extremely dangerous thankfully he didn't swallow it or cut his mouth on it. Positive- The manager comped the defective meal and substituted it with no hassle. Negative- After the debacle with the metal in his meal, immediately after being served the substituted food. The server brought us the check and pestered us constantly asking if everything is ok now and asking if we needed anything.. I asked for drink refills and was asked if it was to go.. causing us to feel rushed out.. We completely lost our appetite and asked for boxes and just left. The food quality & taste in general was poor & over cooked, or bland. But we would not have said anything if it wasn't for the metal and we don't appreciate feeling uncomfortable , guilty or rushed because we didn't want to digest shards. Just moved here. We visited Texas Roadhouse fairly often in Louisville. Won't be back to this one. Greeted by a rude hostess. Lots of empty tables. Made me wait 15 mins with no explanation. Server barely said a dozen words to me during the whole time. No rolls offered. Put my plate down and walked off without saying a word. I asked for Salmon medium (my usual). We have been to this location a few times and most recently for a swim meet for my son. We did an early 5:30 meal on a Saturday. It is very conveniently located just across the street from the Holiday Inn where we stay. It has an awesome location as it is across the street from a huge movie mall area. Service each time just wonderful and seated quickly even though they seem to always be busy. All of them really look identical to me, but it really is the service that sets them apart. This one is fantastic on it's service and always get great meals out quickly. Our male waiter was a lot of fun and smiled all the time and had delicious bread out within a few minutes. He was timely at every step of the way and not even the slightest of complaints. I had the Steak Diane for the first time and it was on the pricey side, but OMG worth every penny. it was so tender. I also love the loaded sweet potato. I usually never get the desert, but thought why not and asked the waiter for his opinion and he said you really could not go wrong with the Granny's Apple Pie and blow it out with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. He was so right and I loved, loved, loved it. The check was brought in a time manner and all was correct. The restrooms were clean and upon departing we did not notice any tables that were left uncleared by bus boys. A line had begin to form by the time we left which is quite typical for all Texas Roadhouses. It also was much louder, but this is also to be expected, so no surprises and it was a great visit. I did not get my refund which should happen. Instead I just got a free appetizer for next visit. I already told the manager I do not care for this. The food is typical Americans style with steak and burger. There is usually special from Monday to Sunday with one entree with 2 sides. Usually I am full after the free bread and one side, but can't stop me from having few more bits of other food! Love the food, nothing can go wrong if you order here. We have an appetite of blossoms onion, which is great! The dish is so big that me and other two friend couldn't even finish it. I order a 6 oz modicum rare sirloin steak with mash potatoes and chili soup. The steak is soft and juicy with top of mushroom and onion. The mushroom is well cook with great flavor and texture. Love it. There are tv around for you to watch game, so no worry of missing out anything. Great atmosphere to hang out with friends, family, and party.
