Texas Roadhouse is always a good time with great service! I go there and always get the 12 oz ribeye medium, a house salad w/ honey mustard, and corn. I also love the shrimp add on, the ribs, and the potato ( sweet or regular) The ambiance is great and casual where you can have fun de-shelling peanuts while you wait, get sat down, and get quick and attentive service. 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

There are times when we feel like going out to eat in a fun place, with good, quality food, cooked right, reasonably priced, and served by friendly and efficient servers. For these times there is Texas Roadhouse. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Texas Roadhouse in Christiansburg, Virginia, is the perfect example. One of my best friends invited me to eat at this lively chain Steakhouse this Tuesday evening to celebrate with me my Birthday which was last week. Before leaving to the restaurant my friend gave me a Gift certificate to Blue Cow Ice Cream Co, my favorite Ice Cream Parlor in Roanoke, Virginia. We got their at around 4:30pm and the restaurant was already starting to get full. A friendly Hostess gave us a warm welcome and took us to one of the booths. Not long after that, our server Jackson came by, gave us a friendly greeting, and took our order. To drink my friend had a Diet Coke and I had a Dr Pepper. As appetizer, I used a Birthday coupon that I had received in an email and picked the Cactus Blossom, so we both could share. And as our main course, I ordered the Filet Medallions with Portabello Mushroom sauce and served over rice. My two sides were a Caesar Salad and Loaded Baked Potato. My friend ordered a 14oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye with a Caesar Salad and Sweet Potato as sides. Our server quickly went and placed our order and brought us our drinks. By that time an assistant server had brought us a basket with their famous yeast rolls and butter. Our server did an excellent job of checking on us to see that everything was fine and to bring us refills for our drinks. One of the times he came by, I brought to his attention that one of my 3 medium rare Filet Medallions was brittle. It seem that it could have been the way they cut it. He apologized and ordered a replacement Medallion that came back tender and juicy like it supposed to be. The server was happy that he was able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. During our time there, the manager on duty came by our table to greet and welcome us to the restaurant and to see if everything was to our liking. I highly appreciated that detail and thanked him for stopping by. This restaurant used to serve complimentary whole peanuts in a bucket. Now it started to do so, but in a sealed plastic bag. For dessert I had a Cheesecake with Strawberries and my friend had a slice of Apple Pie with vanilla ice-cream on top. They were delicious and a perfect grand finale to a wonderful meal and dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and advice you to get there early, because it tends to fill up soon.

This was the worst experience I've ever had at Texas Roadhouse. Our waitress was amazing. Shoutout to Megan for trying to help us with our experience. The Manager showed up. Franny or something? Well she gave Dolores Umbridge vibes and we were terrified of this lady and her unnatural smile. First my sisters steak was fresh off the cow and than it turned into a piece of rubber after it came back. All franny did was give us 10 dollars off for a steak that no one ate. She asked for med rare but I guess that was too much to ask for. You wanna know about ambiance? A fight broke out across the restaurant and the cops showed up. Idk what it was about it's none of my business but I feel like Dolores should have comped our meal. Especially since my ribs (which I always get) were dry. We had to eat somewhere else after we left here. Shoutout @ Franny I wanted my meal comped. @megan you were amazing love and will only come back for you!

Sirloin with loaded baked potato. Also had bbq ribs on the side as well.

Stopped in Texas Roadhouse to grab a bite. The food was very good and the service was spot on. The atmosphere is a typical steakhouse and stays busy. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Christiansburg. Good food and great service - you can't go wrong here. I strongly recommend.

This is how we're making the rolls now?

I usually don't leave negative reviews on chain restaurants. You know what you're signing up for when you make a decision to go. But this seems in line with other recent reviews that I feel I should I add mine. I placed an order to-go. The packaging and thoroughness in making sure I had all the ordered items was exceptional. The food however, waS beyond disappointing. The rolls were dense, burnt little stones. Clearly they were not allowed to rise and then left in the oven too long. The steak I ordered mid-rare was exceptionally rare. When the first slice on the end is still blue 3/4's of the way thru, it's obvious the person on the grill didn't know what they were doing. I'm not sure I'll return to this location when another chain steakhouse is less than half a mile away on the same street

Does this look like a blue moon to you guys ? Stella does not taste like Stella either . Will come back with a review of my food :-/
    Day D.

Texas Roadhouse in Texas would definitely get the blue moon right and yes people no I.P.A So upset . Spent all this money on a nice piece of steak to have it come out they way the kitchen wanted

Great Food!!!! Love their rolls and steaks. This is our go to when we have a craving for steak. Waitress was super nice and made sure we didn't run out of drinks.

Bulls & Bones: Burgers, BBQ & Brewpub has a lot of "B" alliteration going on. I felt like a steak when I visited, so I went for it. I got the USDA Angus Sirloin, which comes with two sides (I chose steamed broccoli and fries). The steak and sides were good and simple, which was just what I was feeling like that night. I visited Bull & Bones with a group of people, and we ordered a few appetizers to share, so I got to taste some things on the menu. First of all, we got complimentary potato chips for the table. Sweet! We also ordered the fried pickles (not my thing, but people were going off on them). Also, we got two orders of the wings: one was boneless wings with buffalo sauce, and the other was regular bone-in wings with Caroline Gold sauce. My favorite were the wings with Carolina Gold sauce, because of the flavor. They were so savory and slightly sweet. For dessert, we got the warm cookie with two scoops of ice cream (yum!) and the blueberry lemon cake, which didn't look like much but tasted amazing. A little bit of dessert goes a long way, and I think you could get away with sharing a dessert, for sure. The ambiance at Bulls & Bones is casual. It's a sit-down restaurant, but it's not fancy at all.

I was with a group, and one of the people in the group was a pimento cheese aficionado, and she said it was amazing, so there you go. The pimento cheese is served warm with kettle-cooked potato chips. Because I was in a group, we ordered a bunch of things for the table. The pimento cheese, but also the TOTSchos (tater tots covered in beer cheese, pulled pork and cole slaw), and some smoked wings. All of these things were delicious, but my favorite was the TOTSchos because I'm a tot lover, and I love when the tots get kind of soft from the melty cheese and still kind of crunchy from the spots that don't have the melty cheese. BOTS (what people who live here call Bottom of the Stairs) is known for their smoked meats and barbecue. Some of the people at my table got pulled pork and things, but I was feeling like something slightly lighter, so I got the blackened catfish. It comes with slaw and two additional sides, and I picked mac & cheese and collard greens. Well, my meal wasn't light in the slightest, but it was delicious! The fish was tender and had that smoky flavor from the blackened seasoning. I got the Bots Mule to drink, because if I'm not drinking wine, I like to drink gin. Someone at my table got the Pickle-tini, and they did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my mule. Gin goes down a treat, I tell you what. Plus! They put your Bots Mule in a plastic BOTS cup that you get to take home. Free souvenir! Bottom of the Stairs exists because there is a Top of the Stairs. At the top of the stairs is an adults-only bar. BOTS is the family-friendly counterpart.

It was incredibly large. My first thought when seeing the food was "there's no way I'm going to finish this". The catfish fillet stretched across the entire plate to cover basically the entire thing. I didn't expect the brisket pieces to be so large either. Also, the amount of tater tots on the plate was significant as well. That's not even to consider the mac & cheese and slaw coming in separate, decently sized cups. Starting with the brisket, I thought this was quite good. What jumped out to me at the start was how well this seemed to be cooked, with beautiful char marks throughout and excellently charred edges. The pieces I had that really nice smoky flavor, and the fat in the meat (since brisket is rather lean - there wasn't too much of it) tasted really good as well. I do think it was a bit dry, as cutting it with a knife required a little bit more effort than cutting a perfectly juicy brisket was, and i did notice some of the meat to be somewhat tough, but I do think both pieces were pretty solid Moving to the fried catfish, I loved how well the breading was seasoned. It had some pepper and other spices that gave it that extra flavor. I liked this less than the brisket, however, due to a) how paper-thin the breading was and b) how easily the breading broke apart from the catfish itself. The entire fillet seemed like it was on the verge of collapse. After my first cut with a fork and knife, a lot of the breading came off, and a good amount of the inner fish spilled out onto the plate. I did think the fish meat was certainly not dry and tasted pretty good, though The tater tots were also fantastic, and there was a lot of them. the fried batter on these was thick and they were quite crunchy as a result. I also appreciated the relish-like sauce that came with them. Another thing that was really good was the slaw - I found the dressing especially to be really flavorful and the vegetables were done well. I liked the mac and cheese less, though, so when it came to prioritizing, I only ended up eating a few bites of it As I already mentioned, the portion size here was pretty insane, and for a price of only around 15 dollars for everything, I thought this ratio was astoundingly good. I would recommend ordering just one for two people, as even as someone who can eat a lot, I had to leave a lot of the mac & cheese and tater tots as I prioritized finishing the main dishes. They certainly don't skimp on size - whether it's the main meat or a side

I remember my visit was a special one as it was busy, yet the service and food were impeccable. Bull & Bones put their best foot forward that night and I left Blacksburg thinking that B&B was one reliable dining spot. Neal & I returned on 11/15/25 to check out Tech's football game at Florida State (our hotel wasn't televising the game). We were in town to check out VT v. Charlotte - a basketball game that featured some promising young talent for the Hokies. Of course, I arrived at B&B with high hopes since my previous experience was a memorable one. Unfortunately, my latest visit wasn't quite as good. The evening began well enough - there were plenty of available seats at the bar and we were greeted almost immediately. Our server was nice and pleasant, and returned with our drink orders promptly. We took a few minutes to look over the menu and we were able to order without issue. We weren't in a rush, and the vibe was fairly chill. I didn't expect top tier service, but there were stretches in which an employee couldn't be located in order to get continued service. For example, our server was cut (yet no one informed us) - we didn't see her after she took our dinner orders. I looked around constantly to ask for another round of drinks, but she wasn't around. While waiting for our entrees, what appeared to be the manager on duty stopped by to tell us that our entrees may take a while because our ticket was sent to the kitchen right behind a 40-top's order. He was apologetic, but we were cool with it because of the game. Surprisingly, our food arrived less than 10 minutes after the manager's table visit - we probably wouldn't have noticed anything was wrong if he hadn't said anything. I appreciated the transparency, though. I saw it as one of the evening's highlights. After the food arrived, it was a constant struggle to find any available server (as a reminder, no one told us she was cut). Refills and/or more rounds of drinks were held to a minimum. That irked me - it got to the point where I went to bar whenever I needed something (I wouldn't have minded doing that during the visit, but they set the expectation by providing table service - meaning I want table service for the duration). Neal ordered wings, while I decided to go big with a ribeye. Neal devoured his entree but I wasn't happy with mine. I ordered the ribeye rare - it came out nearly well-done. My entree came with two sides - I ordered sweet potato fries and rice. The sweet potato fries were overcooked and burnt. I tried one fry and one fry only because it was charred and inedible. The rice wasn't much better as it was cold and mushy. Since a garlic parm fries appetizer was already at our table, I loaded up on that since they were pretty good. The steak was passable since it wasn't completely dry, so I ate about half of that before I became full. So, B&B was a miss, imo, this time around. It would be easy to dismiss this as things going haywire during a busy Saturday night dinner service but, outside of the 40-top, they were empty. So, this visit felt like B&B's quality has gone downhill. I hope this isn't the norm for B&B because they honestly are a good place. But after time, some businesses lose their focus, and it felt like B&B reached that stage. Hopefully they can re-evaluate, reinvent, refocus and improve, but if their food quality continues to suffer, they won't last. Thank you, Bull & Bones. JV
