Crab Your Way with Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail
    Joshua A.

The Crab legs were awesome, nice and hot. The biscuits and cocktail shrimp were delicious. Only issue was the biscuits fell too easily but that meant they were fresh, so no complaints. My server was great and fast, she also knew what she was serving. The ambience was ok, only complaint I have was I heard everyone in the kitchen where I was sitting. But I was right next to it, so no big deal. The price was fair. Overall, a great restaurant and experience!

We stopped by here as our hotel was in the area and have t had this in a while. We started with a couple of festive drinks at the bar and then got seated. The dining area wasn't too busy as the bartenders that was serving us, because our waitress I had the daily special of crab legs with a baked potato and the wife had flounder filet. But we're great and glad we stopped by here. Our server was great and tended to our needs . Prices and drinks were reasonable. They had a lot to offer on the menu and would be back again whichever state we were in.

My Bill for just two of us to eat lunch

My wife and I were interested in getting some seafood and we we live out here in Roanoke area. There's not too many good restaurants in the area so maybe we get red lobster a chance but I wasn't that impressed. My bill was $73.27 for us to eat and we didn't get drinks we got water. My wife had fish and chips and I had the bar Harbor lobster bake which wasn't all that great with with two clam chowder small at 599 each what that impressfor the price it wasn't worth it. I don't recommend the place. It's really going downhill. You're better off to go to London on Silver's and they're expensive too. The food was just OK wasn't impressed not for the price.

    Dry clam chowder.

Red Lobster used to be a great place to go for seafood. We have eaten at Red Lobster all over the country for many years. Sadly, the quality has deteriorated in recent years and it's no wonder the company is trying to figure out how to get back on track. Well, you can start with this location. My wife ordered the clam chowder and salad. I ordered the seafood platter with lobster, crab legs, shrimp scampi with 2 sides. Cole slaw and fettuccine Alfredo. My wife's soup had hardly any liquid and was very thick and gelatinous. My lobster was tiny and dry. The crab legs were also dry. The salad had a bunch of brown lettuce and looked unappealing. So my wife told the waitress about the soup and she said to my wife, "That's the way clam chowder is served" l responded with a loud NO. The waitress then said, "it's ok, if you don't like it I'll talk to the manager" as if it was just a problem with my wife and not the old soup. STOP serving leftovers and bring back the red clam chowder. And serve it fresh. Service was good except for the soup thing. The water was also good. The restaurant itself is not so clean. Doubtful we will ever go to RL again.

Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger with well done crispy (!!) fries

For a chain restaurant, most everything about our recent weekday dinner visit (party of 3), dining experience and items we ordered was pretty spot on here at the Christiansburg Red Lobster. We were seated promptly when we arrived. The interior was classic Red Lobster decor with dark lighting but nice, spotless and clean. The menu was huge - lots of delectable seafood choices including a specials/seasonal menu insert. The menus looked brand new so I'm guessing they were newly printed - ? Maybe with new, higher prices - ? Not having been to a Red Lobster in quite a while, I was a bit surprised at how pricey most of the entrees were. In the $20+ and $30+ range. That's the same kind of pricing you would see in a higher end restaurant, not what you would expect from a family chain like Red Lobster which I would liken to a TGI Friday's, Applebees, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday. We managed to find some reasonably priced entrees to order - one of us, a non seafood person ordered the Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger (Wagyu beef at a chain restaurant, really? I'm skeptical...), the other ordered the Salmon New Orleans entree and I ordered the linguine fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. Alternately I thought about ordering one of the shrimp appetizer dishes as my entree/meal. The shrimp appetizers come with 6 shrimp instead of 12 for an entree which is plenty big enough for me along with maybe a soup or side order of fettuccine. And of course who can forget the free unlimited and famous Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits! Let's be truthful - those could serve as a meal in and of themselves THEY ARE SO GOOD. AND SO BAD FOR YOU lol. But who's watching and who cares!! Ha! Our waitress kept refilling our empty basket and even brought us a to-go bag of them! I also ordered their Grand Patrón Margarita OMG. First of all, it's HUGE. Did not know how big it was when I ordered it. I ended up sharing sips lol. Second - it was AMAZING. Also, I always ask for extra rim salt on my on-the-rocks margs. Soooo good. They give you the shot of Grand Marnier (an absolute must ingredient in any on-the-rocks marg, trust me on this) in a "sidecar" attached to the glass. Classy. (See my pic.) Pour it into the drink, stir and enjoy. Food: Everything came out piping hot. The Salmon New Orleans was missing the shrimp when it came out lol. But shortly thereafter, the shrimp in cajun butter sauce came out separately and was delish poured onto the salmon. The shrimp linguine fettuccine alfredo was just the right size meal, creamy delicious with the shrimp cooked just right. Very dense, rich and filling but that's how it goes with fettuccine alfredo. The Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger was good. Came with fries which we always ask to be cooked well done crispy and they came out piping hot, fresh and crispy delicious. Service was awesome. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly and engaging. All in all, we enjoyed our dining experience and, in a pinch (we were in town visiting), we would consider going here again when we are back visiting but with the realization that entree prices have gone up considerably. We got out of there, party of 3, for around $66 not including tip (we tipped our waitress well for her excellent service). Reasonable for what we ordered I think. But, whereas back in the day this would be a place you might reliably frequent often for their value pricing, Red Lobster in general due to their price increases now seems more like a special occasion type place.

    Soy-Ginger Salmon
    Kevin P.

Let's just start off with the biscuits. Those are some pretty darn good biscuits, for sure. I was quite pleased with the Soy-Ginger Salmon. It was a very nice glaze on top of the salmon that kind of gives it a almost sweet taste. I will say the brussel sprouts were over-seasoned with the sauce but nonetheless was cooked pretty well. Our server was very kind although it was a bit busy. Solid service, pretty solid food. My friends had the Shrimp Alfredo which honestly was VERY heavy (creamy). The steak and lobster has a smaller portion size than expected but still tastes pretty alright. Again, decent restaurant. Giving it 4 stars just because I was pretty satisfied. Would probably be closer to a 3.6/5 or 3.7/5. We also got a free little dessert for a birthday so thats also a small surprise! Food: 6.8/10 Service: 8/10

Only part of dishes their was 4 of us.

Got seated in a reasonable amount of time . We had the slowest waitress ever . The food was good , very good but our waitress was so slow and just left the dirty dishes pile up on our table . We ordered endless shrimp and got a couple refills having to wait for them we filled up on beverages. But again food excellent. It was out waitress she just wasn't very attentive. The rest of the staff was very active . Management was polite and working as well. I believe our waitress was Susie. I would recommend this place just gonna get someone else to assist us next time hopefully.

    Between wall and seat...yuck
    Kimberly P.

When you sit down to a dirty menu and a hair on your napkin it's not shaping up to be the best. Cesar side salad came with practically no dressing. Biscuits were good and my coconut shrimp was delicious. We sat near the entrance to the kitchen and it was so dirty. Food crumbs all in the carpet, food splattered on the walls! I think this restaurant really needs a freshing up overall. Whoever manages this restaurant needs to find another job because the whole place is just dirty and run down.

And Kabuki Japanese Steak House & Sushi located in Christianberg, Virginia is the perfect example. My friend and I arrived at the restaurant on a beautiful Tuesday early evening at around 5:30pm. The architectural design of the building itself was very impressive. The light blue tiles of the roof stand out as we're not used to seeing blue tiles on a building but mostly red. The majestic entrance to the building anticipated something special inside. After passing by several display cases with Japanese items inside we reached the Host's station where a young lady host warmly greeted us and guided us to the dining area. There we found several teppanyaki tables. These tables are designed with a built-in flat iron griddle where food is cooked in front of the diners. The term "teppanyaki" itself comes from the Japanese words "teppan" (iron plate) and "yaki" (grilled).  The first table was already complete, so we were the first party to be seated at the second table. I sat at the corner so had a perfect view of the chefs of both tables. First our server, another young lady came and took the order of everyone on the table. She then brought us our soup and salad which was a good size and very tasteful. Then the Chef came out and repeated the order in front.of us to make sure who wanted what and how did they wanted cooked. Both my friend and I ordered the Filet Mignon & Scallops. He ordered the steak medium and I medium rare. Then the Chef started doing a show with his cooking instruments and with fire. I invite you to view my photographs and video clips accompanying this review for a better idea of the set-up and food. Even though the food was a bit expensive, I appreciated the fact that it was plentiful. They serve us a good size Filet Mignon and three large size quality Scallops. I've been at cheaper restaurants of this type that the amount of food left us with much to be desired and a bit hungry at the end. But not here. We felt totally satisfied at the end. Our Chef had a warm and welcoming personality and made the dining experience a total pleasure. As the evening went on several other tables were filled, and this was good for it being a Tuesday. In conclusion, I highly recommend this restaurant for its cleanliness and the beauty of its exterior and interior design, creating a suitable environment appropriate to enjoying a wonderful presentation and Japanese meal, provided by a very friendly and talented staff.

With it being right after New Years and at the end of winter break, it was very quiet and blissfully empty (I'd had enough of holiday crowds), as was literally every other restaurant we passed in town. It's spacious, has plenty of seating and has a pleasant atmosphere, if a little bright for my liking. Not that I cared because dry pot is on the menu! I started with a tofu ribbon app that is absolutely delicious (not spicy to me, but I think it had a little chili oil). And the cabbage hot pot, which I ordered extra spicy and they delivered! The bits of tofu skin made it even better. While I wasn't a huge fan of it being overwhelmed by bell peppers, I feel like it's one of those things I'd be able to adjust if I came back (perhaps next year?) They get major bonus points for being open late, too. Looks like delivery is until 9 but the restaurant is open til 11 on Fri/Sat, 10 on Sundays and 10:30 all other nights. Driving through so many small college towns, I'm seeing so many places that are only open until 8:30 or 9.

I got edamame (4/5) and dry pot frog (4.5/5). There was a lot of edamame for only being $4! It was…read moregood, but some of the prices were a little caked in salt. The dry pot frog was great; the frog had a nice and crispy crust, and it was not too spicy! The service was good (4/5); our waited was friendly! The interior of the restaurant is nice and clean (4/5)!

The Cellar is one of those restaurants where you might wonder, "Do they have ...?" And the answer…read morewill probably be, "Yes, they do have that on the menu." They have gyros, meatball subs, pizza, burgers, crab cakes, kabobs, chicken parmesan and lots more. I get a little squinky when I see a multiple-page menu with lots of random foods on it. But I visited with a group, and so I was locked into this place, whether I liked it or not. A quick internet and Yelp search told me that the things to get at The Cellar are the Greek gyro and the pizzas. I didn't want a whole pie just for myself, so I ordered the gyro. The Greek gyro was really good! It is lamb and beef in a pita, topped with tzatziki, lettuce, onion and tomato. All of the veggies were super fresh, and the pita was warm and pillowy. It's served with chips and a pickle. They actually have quite a few Greek or Mediterranean-adjacent items on the menu. One of the people in my group ordered the Black & Blue Salad, which is basically a salad with steak and bleu cheese on it, plus lots of vegetables. It was huge! She ate a lot of it, and it looked like she barely made a dent. When she put the leftovers in the to-go container, she almost needed two containers! It became a running joke that day and for a couple of days afterward about whether or not she actually finished that salad. This is also the location for the 6Pak Bottle Shop, which is basically a liquor store but intensely curated. They have a nice selection of craft beers and wine. There is also a bar downstairs, which I didn't have the pleasure of visiting. Another great thing about The Cellar is that they are open late! Sometimes until midnight, and sometimes until 2 a.m. I guess that makes sense, as they are located basically right across the street from Virginia Tech.

This is a nice hidden gem! On a busy corner of the Main Street is Cellar Restauarant. After a…read morecouple stops down the street, we wanted to end our evening in a quiet place. The Cellar has a basement bar. We snagged a few bar seats. The bar server was great. He provided us waters. He quickly took our cocktail orders and made some very delicious cocktails. My sour apple martini was so good that that a second one was in front of me quickly. One of us ordered a full sandwich meal and that sandwich looked humongous and full of meat. We also ordered sides of curly fries. These were fried fresh. It's somewhat of a dark speakeasy vibe. The crowd was tame compared to some of the other bars down the street. We hope to try the full restaurant in our next visit.
