I needed steak so my guest and myself went to Texas Roadhouse this past Monday at 4:30p before the rush. We were greeted warmly and seated without a wait. Our server Christine was very cordial and attentive to our needs. I had a medium rare Fort Worth 12oz. Steak with a great baked potato. My guest opted for the salmon with the baked potato. I love me some Texas Roadhouse but not today. Are server Christy was not the kindest. We got sat and I ordered the mushroom chicken it was good but when I ordered it the last time it had 2 MUSHROOMS I thought it was called mushroom chicken not chicken and 2 mushrooms. So when I ordered today I simply asked for more mushroom and then are server snapped back and said in a nasty tone " it depends on the scoop that they give you" I replied oh ok. Then my daughter got a kids coke and she finished it before her meal came out and she never once offered her a refill. The place was not busy because it was a 10 to 0 minute wait so I was a little confused why she did not ask one of us if we wanted a refill. Are food was good but still needed more mushrooms. When we were eating she never once asked if the food was good until she was taking the food away! Me my husband and my daughter love the rolls and we only had 2 in are basket and a good waiter would bring a new basket with some butter but no she did not. This was only my 2nd time eating at a tx roadhouse. My first time in Buffalo was so awesome I couldn't wait to take my friend for his first time to one in Erie. Which I regret! My first time in Buffalo they brought out samples of sides, peanuts, were ontop of drink refills, and were ontop of roll refills. My friends and I bought premium sides because we liked the samples at Buffalo so well. We even bought chili as appetizers in Buffalo. Here in Erie it was the total opposite and my friend didn't get why i recommended it so highly because it was a bad experience in comparison. There was no "so happy to hear it's your first time!" No first time guests samples No peanuts without asking No roll refills without flagging your waitress down and asking No drink refills without flagging your waitress down and asking Long wait to pay cash because the waitress would rather you check yourself out on the tablet. To start our night with a party of 4 we waited less than 5 minutes after being told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. It was around 4pm so they weren't excessively busy. Within a short time our drinks were on the table our waiter brought the rolls and our order was taken. We all had steak of some sort. Mine melted in my mouth. They were cooked to perfection and we wouldn't dare complain about the portion sizes. Lastly, my husband who never gives a compliment couldn't say enough good about our waiter and the service we were receiving. The last time we were at a TRH was in Willoughby, Oh. We love this place. Tonight they did us wrong and we left before we could get seated. We did their online wait list, which was but 5-15 minutes. We responded to the text when we were there, and went in. We received a response text that stated we were to stay close, so we took a seat in the wait area (my bad here-we didn't check in personally with the host). We then received a text telling us to move to the on-deck area, which we did. After a few couples came in and were promptly seated, we asked why... she said we hadn't personally checked in. Ok, fair enough, we are now checking in, regardless of her looking at us for 5 minutes with no one else in the area. Now comes the real problem... she knows we have been standing in the on-deck area for 10 or more minutes, but she diddled around, while another 5-6 parties came in, and by the time she got our 'check-in' taken care of, we were 6 more parties behind. Now if the place had been really busy, I can understand how this could happen, but I felt that since there really wasn't a wait-list, she should have 1) asked why we were waiting since no one else was waiting, 2) recognized that while we hadn't checked in, we could have been moved up on the now growing wait list since we had been within 4 feet of her for 20 minutes, and 3) at least apologized for how slowly she processed our checkin and told us what was going on.. After 4 more parties were called, I realized what was going on and asked for the manager. I'm normally a patient person, but this girl wasn't interested in fixing anything, and didn't mind putting us in the back of the queue even though we had been waiting now for a fair amount of time. Manager comes and says 'I wasn't here so I don't know what happened', and she saw no action to take. We just wanted a table! While we were discussing the issue, our name finally came up. By now we were not happy at this girls lackadaisical attitude, and felt it was good for us to leave. In retrospect we realize the girl learned nothing of the episode, and the manager did nothing either, so there will be no improvement. We don't want anyone disciplined, just wanted a mutual solution of getting a table in a more timely manner. I realize I screwed up by not verbally checking in (why is that necessary when the text directs you to move to on-deck area?), but why were we penalized further by not getting us a table in the next 15 minutes? And since when was it appropriate to resolve any customer issue with 'I wasn't here' and doesn't do anything? We'll be back again, but make sure you check in with the folks at the front desk, or your wait will be determined by their interest in customer support. read more

The food was very tasty and savory, and came with a good amount of sides that i chose. The steak did have quite a bit of fat on it, but nothing I couldn't have cut off. The service was a bit slower, but it was because I came during opening time when many groups were lining up to get seated. Our server, Chantae, consulted with not only the cooks but also the manager to ensure that I could eat safely. My son had a soccer tournament in Erie, and on a whim, we decided to stop here for dinner. I'd never been to a Texas Roadhouse before and was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was a well oiled machine. Very efficient and the team was friendly and fast! Our server was Tiffany...she was wonderful and made a great impression. The manager also stopped by to welcome us. She was also so kind and welcoming and gave a little welcome care package--SO thoughtful! The food was great and quality was equally as great--everything looked and tasted hot and fresh. 5 Stars goes to our server Nicole!!!! Saturday night is a busy time to go to a restaurant, and TRH was no different. Nicole was attentive, responsive, and honest. I appreciate her making adjustments due to kitchen issues. I ordered steak salad and the kitchen let it sit out and cool off. When it arrived, clearly looked dried out, and cold. Nicole apologized but that's not her fault. She did adjust the bill to remove the protein. The remote payment thingy (I personally dislike) wasn't working properly, and through several different avenues, Nicole got our bill cashed out. Overall this experience was terrible, for a restraint that is almost always consistent in every aspect this was a trrrible night and they weren't even that busy, everyone around me had been seated after us and had more people then just me and my girlfriend, the food came out after waiting a while and it was not our food not even close to what we ordered, waitress came and took it and to add to the flame gave it to the people right behind us you had just gotten there pretty much, the food we got comes out and you can tell it had been done and sitting for a while. My gfs rice from her steak kabobs was cold so we sent them back and then her entire meal was pretty much cold and in enjoyable, this all happened before I even looked at my steak and my steak was medium well at best and I asked for medium rare, it was nuke-warm and my fries which supposedly were just coming off the grill were also cold, my worst experience at this restaurant and it's very disappointing read more

So we had a group of 7 and 6 were there. Was told they couldn't be seated till the 7th showed up... what why your setting up the table for seven people but won't let them go sit down. Why not do a business move and sit them and sell appiterzer why would you set up the table and say you can't go over there yet ... wait your not sitting anyone else in that seat.... then we sit down and order different salads the male waiter comes to the table with the salad and tells us no when we were telling him your giving the wrong salad to the wrong person. Our waitress Amber, was pleasant. She took our orders and tended to our requests very nicely! But if she's going to takeover a table from a coworker then it should be done behind the scenes, not in front of the customers. It was rude the way she treated the other waitress. Then, She either didn't put the order in correctly to the kitchen or the kitchen is so busy that they don't bother to check the food before it goes to the table because my husband's chicken was covered with cheese only on it instead of being the portobello mushroom cheese and sauce& mine was the smothered chicken and my smothered chicken meal only came with one side instead of two. They never brought my second side. And the manager help fix one of our orders and got our next drink order and was more attentive than the waitress was. And as we exited she the waitress, kind of loudly complained to her coworker as we were leaving that we only tipped her $10, she should be basically look back at the quality of both her service and the kitchen staff because they should work together as a team and maybe she should ask if there was anything that could be improved upon or anything that was missed , during our dining experience, so that she could improve her chances of a bigger tip next time. The food was enticing to the palate , the rolls so soft and fresh. The seasoning on the outside of the baked potato complimented the cheese bacon sour cream. Very flavorful. The steak was prepared just as asked, so tender and juicy. Savored it in every bite. They have cheesecake as well with strawberry sauce. The cheesecake was as satisfying as Cheesecake Factory. This institution of a steakhouse didn't fail us today. I was visiting my mom who hadn't been to Texas Roadhouse in a long time. She suggested we go. We went at 4:00 for an early dinner. Quite a few tables were already served, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean. Our waitress was prompt, attentive and courteous. The rolls were perfect...fresh and warm. Our salads came out quickly and all ingredients were fresh and well-portioned. We both ordered the 6 ounce Dallas filet cooked medium with baked potatoes with butter and sour cream. The person who brought our hot food asked us to cut our steaks to see if they were cooked correctly. We did, and they were. The outside of the potatoes were salt-crusted which is my fave thing! The potatoes were served with plenty of butter and sour cream. We enjoyed every bite of our early dinner at this tried and true steakhouse. read more

Ok, I don't know why this place is somehow underrated on Yelp but I had a great experience there last night. You need to rate and review a place based on the expectations from such a place not in comparison with the best possible. That being said, I found this place deserving a five star rate. The ambiance is Texan and adorable. The service was fast and friendly and attentive. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my table but I was informed about that at the beginning. Their bread and butter is tasty. Wine is awesome. And the main dish, Ribeye steak was as good as you would expect from Texas Roadhouse. I watched this "sassy" (her words not mine) TRH worker belittle an 80yr old man at the casino in Erie on 9.25 in the evening around 5-6pm wearing her TRH shirt. Dark longer hair, probably around the age of 40. She was the rudest, most obnoxious, and entitled person I've seen. I asked if she worked at TRH, and she said "yes, isn't that what my shirt says?!". If you're the manager, just ask your staff who likes to play craps and I'm sure you'll find your amazing ambassador who likes to be loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful. TRH is one of my favorite places, but I will not visit the one in Erie after this experience. Maybe you should advise employees to only wear work apparel at work only. Even the staff at the casino was embarrassed for her and how she was acting. read more

Texas Roadhouse, wow prices are amazingly affordable for what you receive. Don't expect high quality meats or sides, this is a themed chain after all and can be as expected overly salted. Food portions are reasonable and tasty, the best thing in my opinion on the menu is the free warm bread and butter. Came here for lunch on the way to a ski trip. First time guest at a Texas Roadhouse. Hostess was friendly and sat 9 of us within minutes. The waiter also greeted the table quickly and returned with the drinks. The bread is warm and soft with a cinnamon butter to accompany. Got to taste the cactus blossom (fried onion with Cajun horseradish sauce) which was super tasty. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, I thought the chicken was seasoned and cooked well, the salad was good but had too much dressing. Got to also try the pulled pork dinner with loaded baked potato. The pulled pork was tender with a nice flavor to it. Overall it was a nice experience, however not my top vote in food quality. Great spot for the road trip stop or a group outing! read more

This place is extremely popular and always crowded. They do have call ahead seating and will put you on their mobile phone wait list which is quite helpful. Still waiting an hour+ to be seated can be disappointing. All service staff are quite friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. We never felt rushed and they were glad to answer all of our questions. Because they are a popular it is always crowded and loud inside making it difficult to enjoy a meal but not impossible.The steaks are great and seem to be better than Longhorn. Be careful when you order the side of green beans as it has a vinegary sauce that may be a surprise or a welcome addition depending on your palate. The only let down which other people may enjoy, were the sweet dinner rolls that preceded the meal. The rolls seem to be baked with sugar and the only side given is a sweet cinnamon butter. These taste more like a dessert than an appetizer. Again, these may be great for kids, but not to our liking. read more

Our steaks have always been delicious. Now for the bad. The waiting is horrendous. We had to find our server to pay our tab. After waiting too long I went up to the manager with our tab.
