I received a text back saying my food wasn't ready and I would be notified when to come get it. 15 minutes without a text and I finally decided to walk up to the window and see what was going on. If that was it, oh well but when I got to my hotel to eat, we found that we were missing sides, sauces and the extras that we had paid for, on top of the food being cold. This is very disappointing. To order carry out you order through the app. It works pretty easily. When you arrive you text HERE and they let you know when your food is ready....in theory. I didn't receive a text telling me it was ready so about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready I went to the carry out window and asked about my order. He left to check and returned a minute later with my food bagged up. So I said I guess it was just sitting there and now it's cold. He claimed the food just came out but it was obvious that wasn't the case. I said well that's disappointing and I let him know I'd be leaving a review. He said have a nice day. I don't think he really cared, he never apologized and I feel he should have tried to make it right, at least offer me a free dessert. So everything had to be reheated and on top of that my sirloin steak was so chewy I had to discard about 15 bites of it after chewing forever. This took place Monday, May 5th about 6:10. After I got back to my car I got the text that my food was ready. Two weeks ago on a Monday my husband's order hardly had any steak fries. I don't think we'll be back. They ask you to fill out a brief survey but they don't ask the right questions or give you space to elaborate after most of them. Raz and I do our best to avoid visiting and reviewing national chains, since theoretically the food, service, and ambiance is supposed to be standardized at every one of them. Sometimes, however, even a member of the chain can be outstanding. Texas Roadhouse has one of the best order-ahead apps that we have used, and we've used a lot of these apps since March of 2020. When we saw that there was a Roadhouse in Farmington, which was an anticipated stop on our first real road-trip since 2019. We ordered from the road and drove into the Animas Valley Mall parking lot, expecting our order to be ready almost as we arrived, based on the time. We waited about 10 minutes, which put us at 30 minutes since we'd ordered, then called to check how much more wait we should expect. Unlike a similar experience at an Albuquerque location, the Farmington staff was able to tell us within 1 minute what our order status was and the source of the delay. Turns out, we were holding for fresh rolls. Since we were trying to go light on carbs for the duration of the road trip, I told the staff I didn't need bread, and the order was piping hot and bagged up ready for me as soon as I crossed the parking lot. I need to double-check the app to see if you can say "no bread" on the order, because every time our meal at the Roadhouse hasn't been ready within 30 minutes of order, it's been a hold-up with the rolls. We gathered our food and had a steak dinner picnic at Highland View Park, which is just outside the Animas Valley Mall parking lot on the opposite side of the building from the Roadhouse. Having had to wait, I wasn't sure if the steaks would still be hot enough for Raz, but after unpacking the meal to the picnic table and washing up, the steaks were the perfect temperature. The spice mixture used on the steaks at the Roadhouse is really perfect and it bumps up the flavor from just tasty meat to savory delight. Better yet, my medium-rare and Raz's medium were perfect examples of those specifications, and tender enough to cut with the serrated plastic knife included in the flatware package provided at pick-up. Better yet, the sides we chose were prepared closer to perfection than even the Albuquerque locations do them. All-in-all, this was an experience fully worth all 5 stars, and a repeat visit next time we travel through the area. read more

Great place to eat!! Love their rolls. There is nothing like those first few bites of their sirloin steaks. It is one my favorite places to eat. However, I don't get their mashed potatoes ever since I had some with obvious Hollow Heart mixed in. It's a potato disease that leaves a black or dark blueish hollow center in a potato. I just make sure I get a potato, not mashed. It's cool. Located at/in the mall. Parking is plentiful, but you may have to walk a ways if you don't get lucky with the front spaces. Went to the Roadhouse to celebrate 45th birthday with the family on April 20th. We've been here before and always had good meals. This time we were disappointed. One of our dishes (chicken fried steak) had a long piece of hair in the meat. Unfortunately the hair was not noticed so actually pulled it out of her mouth! We will save you pictures but it was gross. To the managers credit they did comp the plate and also offered to replace. The manager mentioned that "every now and then" it happens.
