I usually like Texas Roadhouse. This one is a definitely sub par. I ordered a bone in rib eye, medium temperature. There was no sear this time and only the outer part was medium. The more I ate, the more raw the steak was. It was chewey and looked totally uncooked. My daughter's steak was the opposite. Again, ordered a medium temperature steak and it was insanely well done. Let me start by saying, my family and I absolutely love Texas Roadhouse and have never had a bad experience until now. This Texas Roadhouse, specifically the Glenn Allen Roadhouse is filled with the most disrespectful staff I have ever met. It was my daughter's 6th birthday and to cap off her fun filled day she chose Texas Roadhouse to eat because of the unique birthday celebration they do. We were in the Glenn Allen area, so we chose this location. We arrived around 6:20 with a party of 10 expecting a long wait. We waited slightly over an hour which is totally fine and expected on a Thursday evening. This is not the issue, Not once did the host mention that we may be split up between two booths. We were seated after about an hour and 10-minute wait in two booths back-to-back and this was not expected especially when there was a large table/booth in the rear that was empty. This was supposedly "reserved" for a party of 13 that was seated 35-45 minutes after we sat down. Texas Roadhouse does not do reservations but rather call head seating which doesn't make sense because we were all there ready to be seated and their party was not. Each booth can hold 8 people per the manager so that is 16 seats which would fit the party of 13. So there is no excuse. We were there first and first by a long shot. I went and spoke with the host who did nothing but roll her eyes and was completely rude. I requested to speak with the manager who said the big table was reserved and I stated had we known 1 hour and 20 minutes ago that we would be seated in separate booths we would've left. She said there is nothing she can do about it and walked away. I told her about my experience with the host and nothing. I then watched her talk to another employee and glance over at me and roll her eyes. Fast forward to our meal. We all ordered and the waitress was fine. She was accommodating and the service was decent until my order was not placed. I ordered a 8 oz sirloin with fries and mashed potatoes and she failed to place the order. The other members of the party ate their meals and we paid before my food ever came out. Once it did, there was no offer of reimbursement or anything. I had to seek out the manager for a resolution. She refunded the meal and I boxed up my steak and other food and we left. Food is good, but the service, my goodness the service is HORENDOUS. This is the worst Texas Roadhouse I have ever been to and we are avid Texas Roadhouse people. I am appalled by their hospitality and just human decency. Sink fixtures are very loose and flail around when you try to turn them on. Floor is soaking wet. One of the toilets leaks badly. Service is good. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. A Late-Night Craving Satisfied! Exhausted from the day and in no mood to cook, I was craving a good, hearty meal--specifically some well-seasoned meat. Unfortunately, most kebab spots were either too far or already closed by 10 PM on a Friday night. But not TXRH! I placed a to-go order and was thoroughly impressed. For just $14.99++, I got a tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned kebob that hit the spot. It came with flavorful yellow rice, a fresh side salad topped with real shredded cheddar cheese and crunchy croutons, plus four large, buttery rolls with their famous cinnamon butter--an absolute treat! Honestly, I couldn't have picked up the same ingredients unprepared at Publix for the price. I've spent more than this on a drive-thru order at Taco Bell and wasn't nearly as satisfied. The only minor slip-up was that they forgot silverware, but since I was heading home, it wasn't a big deal. In today's economy, this was an incredible value. I'll definitely be back! P.S. Party of 2. Arrived and got on the waitlist. We were seated quickly. Ordered cocktails and an appetizer. They arrived less than 3 minutes. Great. Except my wine glass smelled like I was drinking bleach. Ordered our dinner. Salad with a baked potato for me and 16oz prime rib for my husband. Salads came in less than 2 minutes. Steak and baked potato came immediately after. The server literally passed our waitress on the steps. So much for date night. We had all the food we ordered, on the table, come at the same time in less than 10minutes From sit down to finish we were sitting less than 32 minutes. Everything was cold. The waitress brought boxes and the check before we were half finished. No after dinner drinks or desert offered. Sorry, speed eating isn't my thing. Took longer to drive to TRH than it did to eat. The workers were accommodating to our large party of 10 and were very sweet about seating us and letting us wait to order due to my friend having car issues and needing a jump during dinner time. They were very patient and had excellent service! The rolls were very good, some more puffy than others but I suppose you just gotta be lucky like me . I'm not sure why they get such harsh reviews. I've only said issue with their steaks once. I generally pick up my food but the time I did eat in the server was really good. The place is absolutely packed on the weekend and Fridays so obvious people don't take issue with the place that much. The rolls are fantastic. You honestly don't need butter but the soft butter they include with cinnamon is amazing. I'm always surprised how good the salad is that comes as a side which it's a full salad no less. I've only had one time where they overcooked it which was annoying but they made up for it by doing a voucher for another steak. The play is absolutely hopping though inside. I wouldn't be shocked if they do live music. It's actually quite nice. Again I'm not sure why they have such low average reviews. read more

I can understand having a very busy night but come on. We had to send the silverware and bread plates back 3 times because they were dirty and greasy. You could actually see the grease and food particles left on them. The waiter took the items and tried to take a napkin and wipe off the food and dirt and return them to us. So yeah, we will not be back to this location again. I can't imagine the food preparation area being as clean as it should if the dishes coming out are filthy. People are so dumb, giving a place a low rating because of the way the bathroom looks or the old lookin style. I like the ambiance of the place and its " ole steakhouse style." I rate a restaurant 99.9 o/o on the food and service. I rather have a place a lil old lookin and great real food than gold plated sinks in the bathroom with shity tiny food, please. The beer, drinks, rolls and steaks are always good here from my experience. Ate at the Texas Roadhouse on JEB Stewart parkway on 6/28/25. Food was pretty good as we have been eating there a few times a month over the past 5 years. While eating our meal, a man and two young boys and their DOG were seated a few booths down from ours. the Manager came by our table to ask how our meal was. I asked him if he knew the man and two boys brought their dog into the establishment and the dog was not wearing a service dog vest nor did it have a collar. The manager said it's really hard to tell someone they can't bring their dog into the restaurant. I'm bummed to give them three stars but it was a very mixed experience. The restaurant is a bit dated and needs some maintenance to the booths and floors. It has an ambiance similar with that of Ruby Tuesday, Applebees etc. We were seated quickly and our server came early to get our order. Lots of choices there on the menu. I asked for suggestions and the server helped me pick out a platter that would give us some options to share. We got the potato skins to share and ribeye/rib platter and a Caesar Salad with chicken. The food took a very long time as the restaurant got progressively busier and we were only able to get one drink refill and one extra round of rolls, those things are insanely good. The potato skins came with two inches of mostly raw cheese and grease, those are a 1/5. The salad was massive and seemed by all accounts to be very good. The steak was delicious and cooked absolutely perfectly, it was by far the star of the show 5/5. The ribs still had the capsule but overall were moist and flavorful. 4/5. The restrooms were absolutely filthy, covered in water and food and were a fall hazard. That honestly needs to be remedied. Our server did the best they could under the busy circumstances. We waited, watched several go by until finally someone came to get us, and seated us. When we were seated, the server was really nice, but must have been busy since we didnt see her a lot. I ordered a margarita that was big and delicious, and salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables. My food was really good, and was just the perfect proportions. Customer service is always on point at this location and my recommendation is to do call ahead seating. You can do it by phone or online and it's very user-friendly. Love their rolls and the butter. I ordered the steak on the kebabs, and it turned out delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the sirloin with a salad and green beans. The restaurant always stays busy, but they do an amazing job getting your appetizers, drinks, and food out in a quickly manner. The food is always hot and delicious. When I opened the container of ribs, it looked like it had been on someone else's plate. 3 of the 4 ribs had meat on them but they were cold. The food and service is great. If you go during peak hours you may wait an hour for a table. The bathrooms are atrocious. Filthy and smell. Even when they are clean they look dirty and smell. The orientalist and Mexican restaurants do a great job in bathrooms. I gag when I go in there. I hope it's gutted and redone soon. The Food is up and down. Sometimes the steak is awesome, other times it's ok and then I've had it no better than Waffle House. The service is always spot on. But when they are busy there needs to be some way to make things flow better. The ambiance needs to be better. This roadhouse has never been updated. I'd be afraid of what I would see if the lights were turned up. The speakers are old. The bathrooms need to be torn out and redone. It stinks, either the toilet or sink is running. I always get a salad and it's always awesome. I eat @ these probably 15 times a month with my travels and I was burned out on steaks and chicken so I decided to try the road kill. It looked awesome when it showed up and those thick cut mushrooms were amazing but the burger was horribly dry and was cold within minutes. It was a little after 8:00 p.m. and I realised on a Sunday everything in Richmond starts to close up. I'm not sure if it's because a covid or my Hometown is just going to sleep. My brother and his girlfriend took us to Texas Roadhouse since they have been there before and they were staying open later than other places. This is a very busy, place filled with young adults on loud family/group dates, loud and wild. We walked in and everybody was very friendly and seated us quickly. The waiter came and helped us select different things according to our tastes he was great that's where the 2 stars come from. After we ordered everything was going OK. The beers and drinks were fine, but after that everything went awry. About 20 minutes into waiting a bug flies over my brother's girlfriend's head and settled on the chair. It looks like moth and a roach mixed together! My brother's GF and I were freaking out and the guys kept trying to make us calm down. They didn't want to alarm any other dining guests, ruining their meal..... though the people across from us saw everything, but they continue to eat. We wondered did they bring it with them? But there was also another group in the same area with a dog! What? We knew it was too late to cancel the order, we mentally tried to justify it in our heads it was ok. It was not. Knowing it was late and the options were low. We tried to eat. My medium steak was medium rare with little seasoning and the steaks my BF and brother had looked like thet were the same size despite being 6oz and 8oz. After inspection of the plates, we paid, tipped the nice server and got outta there with each plate holding at least 1/3 - 3/4 of the food.
