Was traveling through the area recently and thought I'd give this place a try since it was the highest rated restaurant nearby. The four out of five stars that it has is clearly not because of their burgers. Quite underwhelming. For $14 I thought I might get possibly two slices of tomato and two pieces of cheese, one on each patty, or even a special bun, but looks like they're doing some cost cutting. I gave it an extra star because the sweet potato tots were pretty good but the burger is 2/5 stars. It's sort of compares to a Hardee's six dollar burger, but with that one, you get more cheese and toppings. The place itself looks like it could hold a lot of people and the bar looked well stocked, a place to maybe watch a game and have a beer. read more

An easy stop off the highway for a quick lunch. Its in a strip mall about a minute off 95. There was plenty of seating inside, buts its pretty nondescript. The service was ok- friendly but slow and inattentive. He was entirely focused on the larger party seated in the middle of the room and seemed to forget about us several times. The food was ok- i had a southwest chicken wrap which was listed as chipotle but somehow lacked any real kick- but was a good portion size and loaded with lots of veggies. I chose the closest thing to the sweet and spicy honey and paid the $0.50 to ensure I could get it. Nope, got siracha honey hot. "No pickled red onions on salad. (The caramelized onions in the quesadilla are good!)" -- instead I got nasty pickled red onions on my salad and the caramelized onions were not inside the quesadilla. Honestly? Can people read? Paid for a kids meal. It asked which drink. Didn't get a drink. I was so excited to see so many options on the to go website. We chose Industrial Taphouse because we had not been there in a while and they did not disappoint. The space was wide enough for my walker. Mom and I tried the fried mushroom fries and pork rinds for the appetizer the waitress was really kind and brought us some hot honey with the the pork rinds because she said it takes them up a notch and she didn't lie both appetizers were absolutely delicious. For the entree we split the fish sandwich with Sriracha tartar sauce we both got side salads and mom got an extra side of fries. I was very happy with my experience my only regret was that I didn't try a one of their signature crushes but I definitely will next time! read more

We stopped here to hang out before we attended a concert in Doswell. We were greeted and seated right away. The staff was friendly and service was good. We sat outside since it was a nice day. The interior looked pretty interesting with an industrial/steam punk theme. We started with the Portobello Fries. If you like mushrooms they were solid. I had the grilled chipotle chicken wrap. It was good but the lettuce was thick. It would've been better if it was shredded lettuce. I had the creamsicle crush to drink. It was delicious. We also brought a travel game to play since we had some time to kill. Overall it was a nice place to stop in to get some good food and drinks. I would recommend this place. read more

This was a very pleasant surprise. Searching for where to eat and decided on a burger and read industrial tap had great burgers...and it turns out neither of us had a burger because other delectable items caught our eyes! The food was excellent...hit the spot and not only filled us up but had left overs to snack on later, so the portion size was on point! I did an appetizer dinner with the Bavarian Pretzel with beer cheese and the 10 piece wings (drum and flats). They were hearty size wings with lots of meat. The crisp was perfect...I don't usually eat chicken skin (yes I'm weird like that) but I crunched away on these. I tried the Asian bbq sauce...which was way too spicy for wimpy me....soooooo I opted for their original bbq sauce and it added just the right amount of flavor to my wings. The Bavarian pretzel took up an entire plate and was soft and tasty inside with a mild crunchy outside. My 'Arnold Palmer' was created with perfect percentages of tea and lemonade. My friend's pulled pork sandwich was juicy and jammed packed with pork and not overly salty. The onion rings were cooked well done. She ate everything...no leftovers for her. Our waitress was phenomenal and frequently checked on us so we never felt ignored. The place is a bar/restaurant and has a nice vibe. The bar is on one half and the restaurant on the other and while technically in the same space, the separation in noise level is noticeable. The restaurant is not as noisy and lends for good conversation during great meals. When in VA again, I mmm will definitely return. Thanks for a great meal. read more

After 6 hours on the road yesterday we were starving and discovered this gem! It was a Friday night, they were packed but found us a table quickly. The atmosphere was busy but cozy if that even makes sense. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Our server was fantastic. She noticed my burger was missing cheese before I did lol and quickly corrected it. 10/10 service. Veggie burger, filet, and crab dip all 10/10. Side of collards 8/10 (to be fair I like mine spicy and these were on the sweeter side). Drinks are my only complaint. I was really craving a margarita and this one didn't hit the spot. Ordered a mojito next round and it was worse. I could taste the liquor but the drink itself just tasted like flat soda water. Server removed it from the bill without me even having to ask! Overall we had a great meal. 4/5 just because of the drinks, but we would absolutely go back here next time we're in the area. read more

This place was so good! We went on Father's Day and was a bit worried we wouldn't get a table but we did with no wait even though they were pretty busy! The place has a cozy, relaxed vibe even when it's packed! Our waitress was quick and efficient. she suggested the crab dip appetizer and it was awesome - the crostini were a little two crunchy but the flavor was spot on. My sister and I got salads that were big and filling with super flavorful chicken and croutons. My brother in law got the French dip and he ate it all up. I did a quick yelp search for something to eat for lunch while traveling down 95. Industrial tap house did not disappoint. My boyfriend ordered the industrial cheesesteak sandwich with onion rings and a regular falcon smash ipa. I ordered the pork belly French dip with onion rings and a large citra fog. Our waitress was friendly and quick , the meals came out fast and hot. We sat indoors but next time we're up this way we will take the time to enjoy the patio. Great stop off near Ashland when I- 95 traffic is unbearable. First time for us. Popped in at 11:30 on a Sunday morning and the place was packed but they were able to seat us ( table for 2) at a high top in the bar area. Which was great! The wife had a pineapple mimosa and she loved it. I was driving so coca cola would do fine. Started with a side salad and tried the blood orange vinaigrette dressing...OMG this is amazing and very tasty salad dressing. We wish we would have ordered a larger salad instead of side salad..LOL. We split the Deluxe Philly Cheese steak and fries. Very good sandwich, the beef was tastey and the fixins on it were top notch. Definitely trying the Industrial Philly cheesesteak next time. The french fries were delish. Only one negative, the bathrooms were quite dirty and out of hand soap and out of paper towels to dry off. We stumbled into The Industrial Taphouse to escape a downpour and were thrilled to find it packed, but they still found a table for us. Despite the crowd, the service was phenomenal, welcoming, and incredibly timely. They have booths, tables, a bar, and outdoor seating available. They also had plenty of TVs which surprisingly didn't create too much noise. The salt and pepper shrimp were lightly breaded and prepared well! The Baja Bacon Chicken sandwich absolute perfection! The chicken was incredibly moist, and the bacon was fantastic. The Sweet Potato Tots had a scrumptious texture. They nailed the balance, not too hard and not too soft. The Turkey Bacon Avocado wrap delicious and a perfect portion size. The Side Salad was generally good, though it did have one bad piece of lettuce. They have a variety of beers on tap and a few from local breweries. The Cucumber Jalapeño Crush was the only letdown. It was flat and tasted like it was missing a key ingredient. We went there because a lot of people told us they had the best crab dip and we thought it was only OK and there really wasn't very much for the price. We are very delighted that they had lost coast tangerine wheat on tap, which is one of our favorite beers from California. They had some interesting hamburgers pretty diverse menu. I would say the food was good overall, but we found the crab dip very disappointing. Would I drive there from Richmond for the food no but if I was looking for a place in Ashland, I would go there. read more

There was not any wait, which is good for a Sunday afternoon. The staff were friendly but I had to ask for refills of my drink. The wraps we had were good. They were bigger than what I was expecting, so that was good too. I would have liked a bit more Chipotle sauce included with the wrap. I've been here several times, mostly for the outstanding burgers. There's a nice selection of options, and they even offer gluten free buns and seem well informed about which side dishes are definitely gluten free. The bacon triple burger is a huge favorite for the bacon lovers in our family, and all the sides we have tried have been tasty. They have a nice covered outdoor seating area as well as ample space indoors. The seating near the bar is noisier than on the dining side, but it's still pleasant. Industrial Taphouse is a reliable place to meet family or friends, as the menu has something for everyone (more than burgers), and there's a nice drink menu and of course, beer. read more

Nice place to grab a drink, watch a game, or dine in on some bar food... maybe all the above. This place is decent in size and can be made for singles, small group and possible large ones. It does offer some outdoor seating as well, has a good amount of tables as well. The parking lot was also big as well, so unless it's a big game day and or any special events, I'm sure it can get packed. I went during a not so busy business hour and on a weekday so no problem with parking and getting seated. The food menu isn't super huge but they do offer a variety of eats. We placed an order for pickup and the food was fast and hot. My husband and I had the Philly cheesesteaks with onion rings. The drive is only like 7 min from our house but the food was soggy. The meat had that cheese sauce in it and with all the filling, it really soaked through the bread so when you picked it up, it fell apart. The meat needed more flavor and it was huge chunks of meat and not like your typical cheese steak meat. If we come back, we'll have to do dine in and hopefully the food won't be soggy again. read more

Delicious brunch! I had the avocado toast with side of fruit. It was all delicious. I liked that the fruit was cut into small pieces, and was all ripe. No big chunks of rock hard melon! Busy on a Saturday night but was able to get a table within 10 mins. Unfortunately, it went downhill after that. Food was lackluster at best and service was worse. No drink refills, dirty glasses, had to ask twice for napkins and utensils, waited over 35 minutes for the server to bring the check. Bathrooms were atrocious.
