I ordered my food from the food attendant who was a friendly and a professional person. She offered her suggestions with regard to my sub order on whether I should order my sub with provolone or American cheese. I opted for the provolone cheese along with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomatoes. The sub was filled with well seasoned steak along with all of the toppings that were fresh and crispy. This is a food truck that took over an old closed car wash. They cleaned up the site painted and freshened up the area. They serve a nice selection of foods from their menu. This morning I had the Charlie's way platter which consisted of eggs, hash browns, your choice of meat and toast. The food was excellent! The hasbrowns had a great seasoning on them. The food was cooked fresh to order. A friend had the Steak and Cheese and said it's one of the best he's had in quite a while. I highly recommend this little spot. It was fast, fresh and the employees were very friendly! I love the little whole in the walls or the small guys trying to survive in a world full of corporations and chains. The first thing I noticed was that Charlie's was set up like a food truck with a sort of shed (I think it used to be a car wash bay?) over it...cool concept and great repurposing of space! Anyway, the friendly guy at the window let me know that if I call next time, that will lower the price as they won't have the GrubHub fees, which was a good tip. I ordered a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on wheat toast. This is the only place I've seen nearby that offers non-pork sausage options, so I hopped on that right away. Every since I saw that they were going to put a food truck in that spot, I've been dying to go. Then, COVID hit and I've been staying home and never made it there. I wasn't sure that they were still open. Last Sunday, I decided that I would venture out and see if they were still open and making people happy with food. I am so glad that I made that trip... I had breakfast but not just any breakfast; I had a great meal. I had the Specialty Omelette (with ham). It was nothing short of amazing. You can tell that the food was made with a lot of care and love. The eggs were light and fluffy and the veggies were nice and crisp. The hash browns were nice and perfectly browned. The toast managed to stay warm and didn't get soggy on my trip back home. If the breakfast is this amazing then I can wait to try their lunch! read more

Ordered breakfast burritos for pickup and was not disappointed. Not many places I'm aware of around town make breakfast burritos and I was happy we discovered this spot. I got sausage and added sour cream to mine. It was delicious with plenty of meat. Not too spicy which I liked. My boyfriend got bacon on his and also enjoyed it. There are a couple tables there (outdoor seating only as it is basically a permanent food truck spot) so we stayed to eat. The staff was friendly. Good little local spot. Charlie's may be in temporary quarters across the road from their usual place. If so, ignore the industrial gravel lot and surroundings - this food truck has great stuff. I had the triple decker club sandwich. Admittedly, a club sandwich is hard to mess up, but Charlie's took the average club up several notches - not by adding anything unusual but by making each layer just exactly right. Huge, too! I had to disassemble each section to take a bite - and that made eight mini-clubs! Really tasty. Nice people serving in the truck, too. I'll be back! read more

Lunch on a weekday with weather suitable for outside dining. My 1/2 pound burger was tasty, hot and fresh on a soft fresh roll. It was cooked just med well so as not to be too dry. The fried chicken sandwich was large and very tasty with lettuce, tomato and pickles. Again served on a soft fresh roll which adds to any sandwich. The French fries were again hot and fresh cooked and the potato salad was tasty also. These folks are working hard to serve good food in their limited seating outdoor venue. The tables are under roof of the previous car wash bays all freshly painted with nice picnic tables spaced enough for current social distancing.
