We have been to this location twice. Both times we were seated quickly and everyone was very gracious. Our server was a college student Jayden, he was very polite and took very good care of us. I'm not a steak eater and I ask his opinion on chicken. He recommended the Herb Crusted Chicken. It was to die for. Jayden did not disappoint. Took sweetie for his birthday dinner last Sunday. Steak was full of grissle & he couldn't eat it. We took it home & pups loved it. Told a Manager today, didn't seem to care. I had the salmon & it was great. Went today, he had grilled chicken and it was wonderful. She seemed to think it was in the cutting up process & his steak should never have been cooked. I was finally able to make it to this location. We had a Texas Roadhouse across I10 from our previous home in Katy so I am familiar with the restaurant chain. This new restaurant in Huntsville is laid out a bit better and has fun lively decor. However it is very loud especially with staff skits on the floor. Entertaining but loud perhaps the hard surfaces contribute? At any rate, seated right away at 6pm on a Wednesday evening. The waiter met us immediately taking our drink order and bringing delicious warm rolls with creamy butter. We ordered the fried pickles and found them excellent in flavor and texture and NOT too salty. A real treat. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak rare with a side salad and potato. My steak was cooked perfectly with garlic butter seasoning. Extremely tasty. Salad was fresh and I enjoyed the ranch dressing. The salted baked potato had butter and sour cream which was perfect. I very much enjoyed my meal and will be back soon! The cost is extremely reasonable and can't be beat for value. read more

I was really happy with my experience at the Texas Roadhouse. I have been twice and both times we were seated quickly, a manager came around both times to introduce themselves and let us know that we could let them know if we needed anything. The bread rolls were good but the herb crusted chicken was to die for. Hands down the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life. Not one single piece of chicken was tough, whatsoever. There was a glitch and my families order did not get put in. I had waited an hour before we got our food. I understand things happen but would like things to be done to make it right. I was disappointed by the manager's "discount" but she refused to give anymore of a discount. I am not happy with her choice and do not feel like going back. I was immediately impressed. I called and spoke with McKenna to see how long the wait was (graduation was today) and from her first word I was treated with such kindness and respect. She told me the wait, and I let her know I was on the way. McKenna told me she would see me soon and remembered me when I came in. I only had to wait a few minutes and then I was seated. I used the restroom and ohmygoodness the smell was amazing. No funky smell or anything that was cause me to lose my appetite. My waitress was bringing me a water as I was exiting the bathroom. She had already began anticipating my needs. Jaycie, my waitress, was amazing from beginning to end of service. Sometimes waiters and waitresses will rush you to eat and pay, Jaycie did none of that. I ordered Cheese Fries. The fries were hot and fresh! The ranch was so delicious and cold. I then had a salad, green beans, and Fried Catfish. The catfish was hot, fresh, and amazing! I also appreciated that even though I ordered my appetizer and entree at the same time, Jaycie ensured they were brought out as separate times. Next up, the drinks, I ordered 2 Long Island Iced Teas. The teas were perfect and the right amount of alcohol after a long, hot day. I appreciated the customer service and Jaycie being patient with me and not rushing me out the door. Absolute Rubbish I placed an online order for Prime Rib and a Baked potato it was ready 20 minutes before scheduled pick up after I left instructions to not have my order ready until 4 pm. They remade the order I thought all was good. Boy was I wrong my rolls were room temperature when I got in my car. About 20 minutes later when I cut into the baked potato it was black inside, plus the Prime Rib had over 4 ounces of fat on it (yes I used a scale to check) I called and spoke to the managing Partner and he just wanted to give me another meal. I told him that's the 2nd order in a row that was poor quality I don't want another trash meal. My previous meal was a filet mignon that had gristle in it. Then I mentioned the cold rolls and he said he can't control that once I get home. I told him I grabbed a room temperature roll out of the bag before I left. He offered free food again. I told him that he needs to have better procedures in place to prevent this from happening. That when he told me he didn't have time for me since it was Mother's Day. I responded with an FU and will be contacting AMEX for a charge back. You have lost my business forever due to management not watching what coming out of their kitchen. We came for lunch. I had the portobello chicken a house salad & a fully loaded baked potato. My husband had a burger & loaded sweet potato. We shared a house salad. the salad was crisp, served in a cold bowl with crispy croutons (forgot to take a pic of that). The baked potatoes were great- the menu said they run the skins in bacon fat before they bake them. And they gave me an extra potato because they said mine was too small..., I did make it through the baked potatoes - really good! & part of my chicken. We've been here a couple of times now since they opened last fall. The parking lot is huge and wraps around the entire building! We accidentally parked in the back last time not realizing where the door was, but figured out it's on the south facing side of the building :) We've dined typically close to 5p, at which time they quickly fill up, so plan ahead to get on the waitlist or arrive before the dinner rush if you don't want to wait. There's not a lot of indoor seating for waiting, but there is a large covered patio out front where you can wait. For us, service has been a bit slow, taking an above abstrahere amount of time to place our order, inevitably meaning we're ready to order our whole meal when they get around to taking our drink order. On our visit last week, I had my salad before my drink had made it to the table. I ordered the filet medallions - which is typically enjoy for the cost, you get more meat for a cheaper price than some other cuts and up to 3 sides of your choice if you sub the rice, which I did, so my meal came with a side cesar salad, loaded sweet potato, and macaroni and cheese. The cesar salad had lots of dressing, which I prefer over having to ask for more. The sweet potato is served with marshmallows, caramel sauce and brown sugar, so yummy, but I can never eat it all. The macaroni and cheese wasn't exceptionally cheesy but was actually very good. Unfortunately, I can never get my meat cooked the way I order. This time I ordered medium rare, and the meat came out rare rare, no warm red center, but instead purple and bloody. I didn't have time to wait to send it back, but also have had the experience of the medallions simply being placed back on the grill which inevitably ruins the taste, so I ate what I could of the outside of the meat. My husband enjoyed his salad but orders an extra side of dressing as the single cup is the same amount used for the side salads and doesn't go very far. Overall, the restaurant is the newer style of restaurant with more seating and well designed entry to give room for people who have been called to be seated and not crowd the staff. We will likely be back as it's convenient for us, but I'll keep working the menu until I find something that is consistently cooked correctly. Still a good deal for a moderately priced steak restaurant with delicious sides. read more

I went here with my family and when we were seated, the table was completely dirty, there was grease on the cushions, and fries and fried pickles on the floor. We asked if we could get a different table or have the one we were supposed to be at cleaned. We sat and no one came to clean so we asked a manager. The manager (an older lady wearing a pink shirt and blondish hair) came over with a horrible attitude and aggressively swept some of the food off the floor before saying "that's what happens when there is a busy day!" My step father said "dont have an attitude with me" and the manager immediately kicked us all out claiming we were being rude and that they will not serve us. read more

Went tonight for the first time in Huntsville. It has been a minute since I was at the Texas Roadhouse. I have to say firstly that the staff in all areas were great. From the moment you came in until you left. I had a good waiter who was both anttentive annd pleasant, and 2 managers table touched. We never needed to look for anyone. The food on the other hand was not great. We ordered boneless chicken wings to start, which were the highlight of the meal. My husband and I both ordered Sirloin Combos, I with Shrimp and he with Ribs. We both ordered steaks rare- medium rare. Mine was ok, but not much flavor, his was tough as boot leather. I tried to cut through his but it was rough. They brought us another one which was a little better but not good. The shrimp on my dish tasted like it took a bath in salt. Needless to say we were disappointed in the quality of the food. I understand that sirloins aren't the best, but they shouldn't be below par. I will go back to Roadhouse again and try a burger again. Imagine planning a special dinner out to celebrate your son's wonderful accomplishment of becoming a certified firefighter and having none of your steaks cooked appropriately. My steak was sent back because it was overcooked. They brought back another steak that was also overcooked. The manager's attitude was one of "sorry 'bout ya. We're just having trouble in the kitchen tonight" as if that makes anything OK. I declined having my stay cooked for the third time and thus left the restaurant without having eaten any steak at all since everyone was done eating by this point. This is my second trip to this location, and I have been disappointed both times - the last time we found a piece of hard plastic in our salad and waited over 30 minutes for a margarita. We were so excited to have a Texas roadhouse in Huntsville because of their great reputation and great food. Unfortunately, the Huntsville team is finding a way to screw that all up. Not only did the waitress (Marie) hardly check on us during the meal, she was extremely rude to me when we were trying to pay and there was an issue. We ended up being stuck there for 30 extra minutes just to pay and she made sure everyone knew it was "my fault" because I pressed a button. Well maybe if she had been over to us to split the bill a lot sooner, we wouldn't be in this mess. Some of the comments she made TO MY FACE include "well if she hasn't messed it up".... "Maybe next time don't press that button".... "Well do you want to pay more" .... "Don't worry you can tell my manager-- she's right here" I do not care if we seem to be the same age so she thinks talking to us this way is ok but it is not. Your Huntsville, Texas Roadhouse location is a big disappointment. It opened in October, we went in November for dinner it was fine, except for the peanuts not being available while you wait in line. Went again today for lunch, not so great. Normally a Caesar salad has more than 2 croutons. Asked our waitress (normally the person who's over what is served) & basically got the not my job. It's the salad person. Did she offer to correct it, no. Half way through our meal I asked for asked for a couple of more rolls. It took about 15 minutes, all the while we see rolls being served all around us. No SweetNLow at the table. Finally helped myself to some from another table. The rolls show up after we finish lunch. Then to top it off more attitude when we laid a gift card on the table to pay. She can't handle any payments (no surprise) wants us to do the 'Walmart self checkout' thing. OR SHE COULD JUST PUT IT ON THE HOUSE AND THEY'D TAKE IT OUT OF HER CHECK. I told her I bet a supervisor could help her. Finally another waitress took care of it. (To be clear the other visit was with a gift card also and we weren't given that song & dance or attitude.). No more trips to this one until someone from your corporation addresses these problems & I'll definitely be sharing this in multiple places. read more
