We swapped for a regular onion blossom and it was much better. The food was decent but the shrimp was overly salty. The table was too narrow for all the plates so there was a lot of rearranging. Not Asian friendly. When we arrived, we watched the hostesses seat the 2 families in front of us with the famous Roadhouse rolls as they were being seated, the hostess walked the rolls with the people to their seats. When they seated us, no rolls. When they waiter came to the table, he took our drink order, no rolls. The drinks came, no rolls. We ordered the food, still no rolls. We watched other tables get additional rolls and new families sit down with rolls that came after us. Finally, the waiter asks if we got any rolls, after sitting for over 15 minutes. When the rolls finally came, I was so frustrated that I cancelled my meal and left. There is no other explanation other than they don't like Asians. read more

I and another had 1/2 rack of ribs and wife had salmon. ribs and salmon all overcooked. needed. to request additional bbq sauce. to make ribs edible and the dill sauce was not good sohalf eaten same with ribs. we eat weekly at a roadhouse in Chicago and always great. this was really bad. if not so crowded it would have been sent back to kitchen. wouldn't eat at another Roadhouse again if I didn't know not the same and ours in Des Plaines is supper. can not recommend this location. go to Cracker Barrel read more

We had dinner on Monday night and though the parking lot was packed, we only waited a few minutes. I had a 14 oz ribeye with onions and mushrooms and a loaded baked potato and a salad with very good blue cheese dressing. Steak was med as ordered and had lots of mushrooms and onions. Potato was good but a little light on the toppings. My wife had the herb crusted lemon chicken and a backed sweet potato that she enjoyed. Tasty seasoning and moist inside. The steaks were barely cooked, one was completely raw with the outside just slightly browned. 2 of us threw up before leaving the restaurant and 2 others in the parking lot. It was MLK day and I had to drop the kids off at home in Wisconsin and we made a pitstop at Texas Roadhouse at about 3:00pm. It was pretty crowded but the wait staff was handling everything expeditiously. We ordered a 20oz bone-in ribeye steak and a Fort Worth ribeye (without the bone) and baked potatoes. The food came out expeditiously and the temperature on our steaks were cooked as we asked. The steaks were juicy and tender. I was pleasantly surprised. The warm, soft rolls and cinnamon sugar butter was addictive and too die for. Sadly we don't get to toss peanuts any more but you do get a bag of peanuts to eat at your table or to take home. Great food and service! While I didn't go to the restaurant, I've been inside beforehand and the ambiance is amazing! Lovely atmosphere and friendly customer service as well whenever visiting! Amazingly flavorful food and delicious drinks and appetizers that I'd definitely recommend for newer customers as a MUST! Me and my husband personally tried there new mozzarella cheese twists sticks with marinara sauce, and they were so good they were gone within seconds, our dog even loved the crunchy warm cheese sticks as well!!! Definitely our favorite date night and dinner, lunch place to go together too! Meats are always cooked accurately and according to preferences, and THEY NEVER MESS UP!!! One thing I will say is that when doing carry out, sometimes they'll forget silverware and napkins on occasion which is typically rare for us since we do typically choose the carry out options. I've also heard along the grape vine that Texas Roadhouse does family meal deals for large families, as I'm expecting, this would be a great addition to our soon to be family anyway! Thanks Texas Roadhouse for all the great customer service you offer, friendly and helpful waitstaff, and for on time meals whenever doing carry out or in person dining! So disappointed with my order. I place an online curbside order. 1 kids meal, supposed to have chicken tenders with Mac and cheese and fries for sides. Apparently my order did not include the Mac and cheese. Which stunk because this was for 2 kids. 1 loaded baked potato, which the receipt clearly shows. My husband picked it up because I was home with sick kids. Came home and he opened the bag. Umm what did you order the kids??? I told him. And he said not everything is here. They packaged the kids meal (minus Mac and cheese) with fries and a plain potato in 1 box as 1 meal. Pics of my receipts and my potato. I was really looking forward to a good loaded potato also. I had heard good things about Texas Roadhouse, so I thought I'd give it a try. I will say that it is a good value for money. I ordered a filet mignon and it came with a generous side salad and another choice of side. However, the steak was so overcooked I was tempted to send it back, but I was in a hurry and also didn't want to keep the staff any longer than needed, as I was probably the last table that placed an order that night. But their definition of medium was at least a well done. Very hard, and not enjoyable. I also noticed the steaks they have on display when you walk in are strange in the fact there is absolutely no marbling. No matter what the cut, they are all a uniform pinkish red color, similar to the color of hamburger meat. I can't say I'd recommend it, but if traveling through a suburb or small city and had only chain restaurants to choose, Its probably one of the better options. read more

This place was packed on a Saturday night! We ordered dinner and decided to do the drive up/ pick up. They ended up forgetting some of our items so we decided to go in and sit by the bar while they were finishing our order. The staff is pretty friendly but their bar selection was lacking a bit. Everything was great until I got my 23 oz porterhouse which is now 31.99. I ordered medium the filet side was medium well the strip side was past well done rubbery and could barely cut. We reluctantly changed order to porterhouse steaks. Manager came over to tell us they have been out of Tbones for a month.. So no porterhouse no t bone no prime rib at the steak house..we ordered a New York strip and bone on ribeye. I asked for a comped appetizer for our trouble and was scoffed at.. How do you know for sure? I don't have my shrimp. Have you checked your car? Yes I have and no shrimp. So you're sure you have no shrimp. I do not at this time possess any crustaceans. This is a favorite spot for my wife and I. Service is always great and the food is amazing as well! Most times a manager stops by the table to see how things are. Highly recommend!! Went there this weekend and got tricked into loading our salads. They now have a business practice to "up sell". The way it was presented to us was "bacon bits okay on your salad?" My wife and I said yes and our guest said no thank you. I looked on our bill after we left and we were charged for three "loaded" salads. We still love their food and the service is still good but you should listen carefully when you are ordering and check your bill before you pay. Stopped by with friends after seeing the light show. We called to place ourselves on the waitlist for 4 people. We were told the wait was around 40-50 minutes and that we needed to wait outside due to covid guidelines; which we had no problem doing. We weren't given a text about our table being ready until an hr and 10 mins after. We went inside after receiving our message, but we still weren't seated until after another 10 mins. We ordered our food and drinks. The drinks came out quick, but the wait for the food was about an hr. I understand that the restaurant was short staffed and busy, but even the food wasn't satisfying. The veggies were very salty for some odd reason, and the sweet potato was quite burnt inside. The steak was alright, at most. It was a cold night and we waited extremely long, just to get food that was done okay, but Roxanne (waitress) was nice with her service, which is why I'm giving a 3. I gave the roadhouse one star because I never got to a table. We went on a Thursday night at 7:15it was not too busy. We walked in and the hostess greeted us and asked. Did you call? We said No and we were told to wait on the left side of the room by the meat case. Meanwhile 4 groups of people walked in and were seated. After a few moments the girl called us back over to the counter and asked. Did you call? Again we said No and then she asked again and we said no again! I asked should we go outside and call? She gave us a look. Then she said said "we can put you on the waitlist". My husband asked "you didn't put us on the list when walked in"she said"No DID YOU CALL?"Again we said NO.
