The food is overall acceptable, but with some issues. The rolls never disappoint, let's start there. I got the rattlesnake appetizer and I was not disappointed but are more cheese than jalapeño inside. My porterhouse was a little smaller than expected for 23oz, and boy was it fatty. It had great flavor though. My issue and reason for 3 stars is that I ordered this with two sweet potatoes as my side. They proceeded to run out of them, still continued to make my steak, and then tell while delivering my steak that it'll be another 15mins on the potatoes. I don't understand why I wouldn't have been asked before making my steak what I wanted to do? Poor food management that created a not so great experience. We came on a Saturday night and there was about a 25 minute wait, which went by pretty quickly. The hosts were pleasant, and our waitress Haley was friendly and very attentive. For food we started with the rolls of course, which are always heavenly 12/10, next up we had the fried pickles which were very good per usual 10/10! I paired this with a margarita, which was strong but so good 10/10! For my entree I got the southern fried chicken with a house salad and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, all in all very solid meal and a big portion for $13 8/10! My husband and I arrived at Texas Roadhouse around 8:05 PM. By 9:57 PM, we still hadn't received our food or much communication from the staff. It took 23 minutes just to get water, we were told they were out of rolls, and after about an hour, rolls were finally brought out. At 10:03 PM, we decided to leave. Overall, there was extremely poor communication, poor leadership, and a clear lack of teamwork. It was very disappointing to experience such a poorly run environment, especially when we came hungry and ready to enjoy a meal. read more

Party of 3 adults and 3 children sat down inside and decided to place our order to go. The restaurant was busy and it took a long time to get the order. The server was very apologetic. Got home (12 min drive) and it took a few minutes to figure out we were missing a large cheese fry, salad and side order of fries. A burger and fries was not put in although it was ordered. 12 minutes back to the restaurant. Took a minute to get a manager. She said when they are busy they sometimes miss putting items in the bag. She went and found the salad and cheese fries we ordered sitting in the kitchen and brought them to me (had been sitting there since I ordered it about 40 min ago). Went back to get fries and some rolls (another 8 min). No apology - "Have a great rest of your day". 12 min drive back home and obviously the cold cheese fries and hot salad were inedible. Super cold in the restaurant, even the locals and the employees noted how freezing it was in the bar area, and one patron was wearing a jacket inside in the peak of July heat. Absolutely no country music or any music at all that typically plays alongside the music videos on at least on of the tvs. Bartender was on point drinks were well made. The sweet potatoes with butter and honey are the best....and the hot rolls! Honestly I am really surprised because I love Texas road house, but my experience and food here was not a good time. For starters our appetizer, salad and meal came out all within 15 faster than I could drink my beer. We got the notice our table was ready went in and they said ooops we did not mean to page you, they said another 10 minutes so we went back out in the uncomfortable heat for what seemed like another hour and no page. We went back in and they said oh we paged you so you do not have a table now, we explained what happened and it took some convincing but another 15 minutes in the blistering heat and they allowed us in! Do not use the app it caused more issues than convenience. The food was marginal as expected, steak and shrimp were luke warm but the potato was hot! My husband and I ordered carryout meals. My steak was almost perfect. Everything else was wretched. My husband's steak was a big ribeye, ordered medium-rare. It arrived raw, cold and bleeding, and was full of gristle and fat. To make matters worse, when we called the store to complain, we were treated extremely rudely by the manager,"Mac." I will never again order takeout order from the store. If I am forced to eat there again, it will be in person so that I can complain directly to the people responsible and get immediate replacement. I still can't get a hamburger cooked to order here! I'd estimate on average only one or two out of each ten that I've ordered since they opened 2 1/2 years ago, has been right - they almost always overcook them. I have had success ordering them at least one step more rare. Today I forgot and just ordered one medium rare. It came out bordering on well-done with almost no pink. I should have just cooked my own. And next time, when I think about getting a hamburger, I probably will just do it at home. I had a disappointing experience last night with ordering from Texas Roadhouse for pickup. I ordered prime rib because I like it with horseradish and cream horseradish sauce. Ordered both and confirmed on my receipt. Very pissed off the horseradish items were not in my order. I called and they said I could come pick them up but I decline as I didn't want my meal cold when I returned. I also sent corporate a complaint. I was very pleased to receive a call from the store today apologizing for their error. They sent me an email to replace my steak on my next order. This place sits right off caraway road and its not hard to get to. They sat us quickly then switched our waitress. So we started out with a little trepidation. Then we bit into the delicious bread so we knew it was going to be good. My 14 year old called the bread transcendent. My ribs were tender and good. I should have asked for dry rub but the sauce isn't too sweet. The chicken was great. My husband and other son had steaks and said they were tender and juicy and flavorful. This is an update of my review on 14 Jun 22. We were home in Jonesboro and decided to give TR another chance. Big mistake! I downrated TR from 2 stars to 1 star because of the food. Our server was good and patient, but my wife's steak and my, "Road Kill, (hamburger steak)" were terrible! We both ordered our meat Medium (hot and pink center). When they brought our meals out, both steaks were red and bloody in the middle. The two baked potatoes were luke warm at best and had no chance of melting the butter on them. I was so disgusted, I sent my dinner back and told our server to cancel my order. They recooked my wife's steak, but it ended up being a really tough Ribeye Steak. When we took the Ribeye steak back to the hotel as leftovers, it was just too tough to eat and enjoy. The Ribeye steak that I paid almost $30 for was thrown away as inedible. The shift manager was apologetic and offered to fix me something else or something to take with us, but I declined. Look, I know EVERYONE is having an issue with staffing but this was the final straw for TR for us and serving cold or bad food is inexcusable and unacceptable. We will NOT return as customers and that's a shame as we always liked TR, but the last two visits were terrible. read more

It was about 15 minutes late from the pickup time they had quoted on the app but it was a very busy Friday night so it only made sense. It was well worth the wait. Started with the chili. Best and most authentic chili I have ever had! No beans as true chili should be. My wife had the bbq grilled chicken with a loaded sweet potato and salad, and I had the combo with ribs and chicken strips with a loaded baked potato and salad. Everything was so freaking good! I see why people wait hours to sit down and eat in this place. If it was this good as take out after a 30 minute drive before we ate it, I can imagine how good it must be fresh. My wife's favorite part were the rolls with cinnamon butter. I thought they were okay and I can see how they would be a big draw fresh in the restaurant. Overall we were super impressed. The food is excellent. The staff is great for the exception of check in personnel. We have been desperately trying to be served by a certain waiter. Twice now we've been brushed off and lied too. The first time was a 45 minute wait after saying "yes you can be seated by him" then after 45 minutes we were told it would be 30 more minutes but they could seat us somewhere else. Then our food was all messed up,kept going back. Last night same thing. "Yes we'll put you in his section ". I spoke with the managing partner but the situation didnt seem to matter to him. First let me start by saying I'm new to Jonesboro and came from/still live in Dallas. The staff were amazing, kind, professional. The waiter was 100% on point and earned every dime of his tip. The atmosphere and staff are better than any roadhouse I've visited. However, the food was really lacking (except the rolls of course). I am not one to hassle staff with sending food back and being a pain in their butt. However our cheese fries tasted old and the cheese seemed as if it were melted in the microwave which is odd because it was cheddar. We both ordered steaks with fries. One medium rare and one medium well. When the steaks came out they did have good taste. But we're very over done. The medium well was somewhat dry and clearly past well done. My medium rare fillet had a very tiny patch of pink near the center with the rest done medium well to well. Our fries were so over seasoned they really weren't edible (a stark difference to the earlier fries that were lightly salted just right). Given how the steaks were done we couldn't possibly waste the meat that was given by the animals. And that's ok. Food really just needs more love and soul it seems to really make it taste to what I've come to feel is the standard of theTexas Roadhouses we have back home.
