We had a good experience for the time being inside while enjoying our food. Service was good and we thought the food was okay. About 10 hours after eating my girlfriend had just about every sign of food poisoning. It's so far lasted for 3 days. As a franchise eating here can be hit or miss. I think the only reason I can leave a five star review is because of our waitress. The food is always good no matter what state or location I'm in which earns a solid 3/4 stars. My steak is always cooked to perfect temp, my salad always comes out perfect with no tomatoes. This review has two parts: the food and their service. The Food: Hands down the best steaks in Lancaster. They are typically cooked perfectly--if not, they'll gladly redo it. The sides are typical. Huge sweet potatoes. Salty green beans and mushrooms. Typical fries. The kids meals are huge. If you have a smaller appetite, try the Andy's Steak meal. It's a great deal! The salads are excellent, but full of calories--no low calorie option here. And the rolls and honey butter could be dessert! The Service I've never eaten at a more friendly place. I travel a lot for work so I often eat alone,I decided to stop in at the Texas Roadhouse on a business trip to Lancaster Ohio! What a nice experience from the hostess, to my waitress Megan and then the manager Lynn Winston stopping in to check on me. My food was delicious and Megan was so friendly, chatting with me and having me try the honey mustard dressing with the homemade rolls was a unusual delight! I usually stop by here when I'm in this part of town for my car to be serviced and it's convenient to get to. Apparently most everyone in the town also agrees with me. It's your typical corporate steakhouse with a rustic country decor. You can get peanuts upon your entry. We were seated in a booth per our request. It was pretty busy and I remember thinking wow this place is hopping for this time at night. Our server was prompt and took our drink order. I had one of their specialties and my hubby had a draft beer. They brought out their signature rolls and honey cinnamon butter which were very warm. I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye and baked potato and salad without egg and balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The salad wasn't anything special but it was fresh and good for a side salad. My steak was cooked perfectly and I have to admit they have a pretty decent steak for the price. I noticed that you have to get your own peanuts as they are no longer on the tables and you no longer throw the shells on the floor. When I'm in this area I'd stop by if I'm in the mood for steak as they've never let me down. They have a pretty huge parking area so that's not a problem. Stop on in. read more

Probably the best value for steak anywhere! $9.99 for a 6 oz choice sirloin with 2 sides plus all the rolls & peanuts you want. The Coke products are always good, mixed right. It's packed on Friday & Saturday nights. If I go there alone, I sit at the bar and get immediate service. They have great rolls (free!) served with cinnamon butter. They also will provide regular butter if you ask. One complaint...every time we go there, I ask the hostess (who seats us with the rolls), "Can I get regular butter?" they always say yes, I'll bring it to you. They never do, the waitress has to bring it because the hostess forgot. Every time. It's now a game. I make my wife wear a V neck when we go so I can toss peanuts down her top. read more

The first thing you'll notice upon walking through the door of Texas Roadhouse is how absolutely hideous it is. The place is littered with the most tacky godawful crap I've ever seen in a restaurant. Fortunately, and you will be ever grateful for this, your attention will be quickly diverted to so truly delicious dinner rolls. Well, the rolls themselves are okay, but the cinnamon butter is to die for. It's almost worth eating here just for the rolls, they're that good. It's a big chain restaurant, and my general rule of thumb is you never order a steak at a chain restaurant, ever, so I can't comment on that. I can say, however, that the pulled pork is pretty good. It's not too stringy like so many other places, and this definitely makes up for the so-so barbeque sauce. I'm such a big fan of it that every time I come here I have a very hard time ordering anything else. I did, however, manage to order the country-fried chicken once, which you MUST order with the creamy gravy to fully enjoy. It was also rather tasty. The sides are really hit-and-miss, however. The broccoli is almost always good, but once someone in the kitchen made the unfortunate decision to send me broccoli that was browning around the edges. Who does that? The fries are also just okay. They are cut thick and make for great chili cheese fries, but they are a bit too soft for my liking. The buttered corn is pretty fantastic at first, but after you get about halfway through them they start getting soggy and way too peppery, as the spice settles to the bottom of the bowl. The mashed potatoes are just awful, and there is nothing positive I can say about those. Ugh. The food here...well, it's edible. It isn't as blow-your-mind amazing as you'll find in local places, but it won't give you botulism either. Man, those rolls are well worth a single visit though for sure. They totally make it worth suffering through the painful decor of the place as well. read more
