    Description for baked potato

Nope. Nada. No wonder there was NO ONE here ard 4p on a Friday! Catfish bland! No amount of hot sauce or carolina hot sauce helped! Wings cold and not done! Sent back and had taken off bill. Also the loaded baked potato didn't have the pulled pork as asked for. Had to ask for a beer. Very. Very disappointed!

This was my second time here. Thsi time, we sat on the patio on a cool Fall night out by the fire. We were very casual and sat around the firepit to eat and drink, but you could have a more formal meal at a table inside or on the patio (I did that the first time with a group). The food is pretty good. Not many vegetarian options, but I chose the side salad and mac and cheese side and both hit the spot! I was surprised at how good the mac and cheese was. I might order two of those little bowls next time. I'd come back for the patio ambiance, decent craft beer options, good service we received, and that mac and cheese.

Relaxing patio with large water feature. Food was amazing, especially the mac & cheese. Unfortunately, they were out of the ribs that I came for so, I settled for the brisket, seasoned to perfection but, the potion was very small. Right as we arrived, there was a party of nine that was seated before us so it took us 45 minutes to get our meal, therefore we only had 15 minutes to dine before closing. Our server was very friendly and told us to take our time, however with the cleaning going on around us and closing of the glass doors, we found a bit on the rushed side.

Barrel & Boar in Gahanna is my absolute favorite place to go on a cold day. The rustic feel and warm atmosphere along with the friendliness of the staff always make me feel relaxed, warm and comfortable. My husband and I usually cozy up to the bar and have always been welcomed quickly and warmly by a member of the staff. My go to drink at Barrel & Boar is always the Smoked Old Fashioned. I know it's a more complicated drink and probably a pain to make during a rush but every bartender we've had has always been enthusiastic and mixed it to perfection. I'm not a fan of barbecue so I usually just stick to the appetizers and absolutely none of them miss. I could eat about 700 Jalapeño Cornbread Croutons and still have room for some Carolina Hush Puppies. A seat at the bar allows you access to multiple Keno screens and a close proximity to the bathroom so it's easy to stay longer than you originally planned. It's also a nice spot to observe the effort and teamwork between staff members and management, who are continuously helping each other, which is nice to see as a former server. An added bonus for me is the music that is usually playing at the restaurant which is a lot of throwback Motown. So next time you're looking for comfortable dinner spot, Barrel and Boar in Gahanna delivers on every level.

Had high hopes but just didn't live up to the hype. Staff and server were friendly enough and the location is actually a pretty great spot with the creek out back and fountains outside. We tried a couple of apps (deviled eggs and wings) and they were ok. The eggs were interesting with a bbq chip crumble. Unfortunately they feel a bit flat and the chips were actually stale so the crunch element didn't work. The wings actually a great dry rub on them but they were also dry on the inside... just overcooked at the end of the day. My colleagues had the ribs and a Cobb salad. Both commented that it was decent but nothing spectacular although the ribs looked very juicy and pulled super clean off the bone. I tried the sliced brisket with a side salad. Salad was standard run of the mill but I was pumped about the brisket. Unfortunately it was also hammered and super dry as a result. So dry I couldn't even eat all of it. I think it just been sitting in a hot box all day so while it has a great bark, it was just nearly inedible. Reviews are solid overall so we may have just caught them on a bad night.

Met my son for lunch and it was Beautiful out so we sat outside. Service was quick and friendly although she did not know if the Slaw was sweet or sour (It's Sour) since she don't eat slaw. We decided to share since it all sounded good. We had Wings and they were ok , sauce was good wings on the smaller size. My son ordered the Flying Hawaiian , Pulled Chicken with a pineapple sauce He Loved I give it 3 stars ok not for me. I ordered the Turkey Club it was delicious Very Good. I would get it again but there are several things that look good. Only real reason for not 5 stars is we were never offered refills and drinks were empty. But she did get me a togo tea when we left. Overall Very Nice Place for lunch and the view of the creek and shops.

    Hush puppies. Absolutely delicious!

Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Our bar tender was very nice and she made me a spicy margarita which isn't on the menu. Was great! Played some keno, had a few drinks, and enjoyed some very very tasty food! Everything was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Great prtion sizes as well. We will definitely be returning! Patio seating looks really nice as well.

Left: Brisket, Beans and Mac & Cheese. (Mine) Right: Ribs, Mac & Cheese, Corn Casserole.

10 out of 10. Hands down the best BBQ I've had in a while. Every bite of the Mac & Cheese was flavorful and deliciously cheesy. The corn casserole was sweet and creamy. The BBQ and ribs were to dye for. AND Best of all, the price was right! A huge plus was that the customer service was great! The outdoor seating options were much appreciated although we sat inside. Whenever I am in town next, I will be back!!

    Smoked Wings
    Eric H.

The wings here are some of the best wings around! The servers are always friendly and answers questions to the best of their knowledge. My only gripe is that I wish their food truck would keep the smoked Turkey bologna available.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

My husband got the Korean BBQ Scotch Egg (so different but very tasty), BBQ glazed meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, lemon chilli green beans (he normally doesn't like his vegetables, but he said these were so fresh and tasty), and Espresso Martini Pot De Crème. I had the Italian Wedding Soup (very good but did not have the meatballs), Pasta Bolognese (pasta was cooked perfectly and drained properly, so it did not water down the sauce!), and Apple Pie Mousse. I also got one of their mocktails called Brambleberry Tea. I could have easily drunk a couple of those! I forgot mention that they pour some nicely chilled water from a bottle that they leave on the table when you sit down. That is a nice touch for us since that is our choice of beverage when we eat. We were treated so warmly by everyone from the time we walked in until we left. Our server, Tyler, asked if we had been before (and this was our first time), so he welcomed us and asked if we had any questions. He was attentive during our time and even asked my husband if he needed any more sauce for his meatloaf. Marvin, the manager, stopped by to see how our first experience went and wanted to invite us back by gifting us coupons for an appetizer on our next visit. Thank you! The atmosphere was rustic and casual. I loved the picture frames hanging (used like walls) and lots of exposed bricks. The bathrooms were clean, well-stocked, and warm. We are looking forward to coming back to try the regular menu!

This was our first time here and there was a line we came in and said we needed a table for two. They asked us if we had a reservation. I said no she said it's best that you make a reservation so that was like a bummer. she told me that they had two table tops or we could sit at the bar because there was no tables available so we sat at one of the table tops. It was very loud and overstimulating, but the employees were very nice and pleasant and well dressed. Our waiter explained the menu to us and we ordered chicken wings and flatbread. The flatbread was hard for Me, and all of the toppings were like in the middle of the pizza, but for Ace he loved it. I asked for my wings to be extra crispy. They was not extra crispy and they had a sauce on there. That was very nasty. I didn't eat the wings. The table beside us was very disrespectful because the young man was a little drunk and the young ladies that he were sitting with kept yelling at him and telling him to calm down and told him he was doing too much so it kinda was like overbearing for us we just wanted to leave because he was talking very loud. He was talking very aggressive. He was just obnoxious and I could tell the waiter was getting annoyed as well. We paid for our food and left. Is this a place that we will come back to probably not but I'm glad that we got to experience.

The place wasn't crowded--just two staff members were present--but it did take a little while to be acknowledged. There was someone ahead of me who I thought was in line, but he was actually waiting on a DoorDash order. It seemed like the staff were preoccupied with that, which delayed them noticing new customers walking in. According to my husband, the menu changes frequently. I browsed a bit and decided to go with a classic chicken cheesesteak--just mayo and banana peppers. I got it as a combo with a drink and onion rings. They only offered soda or water for drinks, and I do wish there was an alternative like juice or tea. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much since we're not in Philly--but let me tell you, that first bite changed everything! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was just right, and the bread was the perfect texture--not too soft, not too hard. It was seriously delicious. The onion rings weren't your typical rings with raw onions inside--instead, they seemed more like a crispy, flavored version with a mild onion taste, which I actually preferred since I'm not a big fan of onions. We also ordered a cheeseburger meal for my kids (not listed on the menu but available), and my husband got the loaded Philly steak fries, which he really enjoyed. All in all, the food exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely come back, especially for that chicken cheesesteak!
