Stopped in for dinner on a weekday last week. Nice ambiance, but very loud. I had a salad with bleu cheese dressing, a NY steak medium rare, baked potato. The salad greens were excellent. Wide selection of lettuces, and various other vegetables, served in a nice China bowl. The bleu cheese dressing however was complete tasteless, with only the slightest odor of bleu cheese. Quite a disappointment. Bleu cheese dressing is very common, it shouldn't be hard for a chain like Texas Roadhouse to have an excellent one. Finally I was served the NY steak. It was tasteful to a point. It was definitely tenderized, another disappointment. Our server was excellent. I doubt I will return. No tenderized meat for me. No telling what chemicals are in that tenderizer. read more

It was such a great adventure to eat at the road house just a few miles away! The place was Packed beyond belief but a wonderful atmosphere of staff literally "boot scootin" for our pleasure. They were having fun, and so we're we. Ordered Ribeye 12oz size, which came out to table and tasted purrfect. Just enough crispy barking to drive my taste buds into serious DELIGHT. The whole meal was prompt, and there was lots of staff interaction, which may be abundant due to day 3 of the opening. I could go, but everything gets better, BUT IT IS MY SCORE OF 5 THAT MATTERS. A friend who has some disabilities asked me to write this review about the Lecanto, FL Texas Roadhouse. It was his birthday. He ordered a margarita, and the server did not offer choices - the drink arrived on ice cubes (he had expected blended with salt rim.) He told the server but didn't ask for a replacement - we were celebrating! When his steak, ordered medium rare, arrived it was very tough and way over-cooked. Not wanting to interrupt the party mood, he still didn't complain. Later he learned that the salmon ordered by another in our party was also bad and he got a mushy overcooked onion. WHEN WE'RE CELEBRATING WE WANT TO MAINTAIN THE PLEASANT MOOD. THAT'S WHY MANY OF US DON'T COMPLAIN. My friend will never return to this restaurant, and he tells others to avoid it. read more

Hello, again. It's the "restaurant guy", former owner of Bob Alan's Chart Room in Cincinnati, Ohio. Here's my thoughts, opinion and particulars based upon our recent visit to the new Texas Roadhouse in Lecanto. Loud! Very noisy. The four of us had to yell across the table to share conversation. But many people like the atmosphere, so please keep in mind that was just our opinion. Food. Very good. Steak .. great. Shrimp ... great. Caesar salad ... great. Mashed potatoes ... great. Service ... our waitress was Jessica and she was very good. They're still a lot of learning to be done by the wait staff to be more efficient and reach a higher standard. I have to mention Duane here because this guy had plenty of personality and it reflected a good vibe for the restaurant. You can't teach or train personality with a nice blend of humor. This guy had it all. Kitchen ... we went on a Monday night, thinking that it wouldn't be so packed because this restaurant has only been open to short period of time ... but it certainly seemed the kitchen did a great job of getting everything out. The only problem that I saw was the communication from table to kitchen and kitchen to table. I ordered two appetizers and they came out at least 15 minutes before everyone else at our table got their meal. And there were too many little things missing throughout the meal. Again, this was a pretty good experience and we will return because I always give a new place a chance to work out the kinks. I wish that they had a military and first responders discount like the restaurant across the street does. And a few more weekly specials. But it is basically asteak house. Thanks. The food was great. I had a steak with onions and mushrooms on it and mashed potatoes as a side. While some of my family's meat was not cooked to what was asked the first time, we were given coupons as an exchange, and freshly cooked food for replacement. My cousin was given a saddle ride and had a scoop of ice cream. The songs that played in the background was good and was in theme of the restaurant. The waitress, Talia, was extremely nice. Unlike most waiters and waitresses, she had double checked my meal more than once and did it personally for eggs, which I am deadly allergic to. She also knew sign language, which is a plus. She should get at least a 10$ raise. read more

My main problem with the Texas Roadhouse was the acoustics. It's too loud. I could barely have a conversation with my husband. The food was good but not good enough to make up for the atmosphere. read more

We would rate this experience only average. While my ribeye was good the mashed potatoes were cold. My wife's ribs and chicken were even colder. Her mixed vegetables were cold and the carrots were undercooked as well. I see little difference between here and Cody's as far as value so we probably won't be back anytime soon read more

Call in orders / Pick up needs major improvements......I've eaten in the restaurant and the food and service are fantastic, however when it comes to pick up service well it's screwed up and needs to be addressed by management or above. I'm just one week, three different orders they forgot to add my sides, made my order wrong and didn't know the difference when it came to making a Caesar salad.......on top of that adding in a tip which they failed to earn because of their incompetence. Took it up with management twice, hopefully they will address and fix the problem. read more

Let me start by saying an excellent wait staff. That is where it ends. If you are running a grill you must make allowance for the cut of the meet to insure that the cut is cooked to the degree of doneness the customer order. One out of 3 orders is not acceptable. There is a big difference between medium rare and well done. Vegetables, if you would not buy it in a store you should not serve it to your customer. Who monitors what leaves the kitchen, anyone ? We were seated in a very timely manner while they were extremely busy...20,or so, people waiting outside. Our server greeted us within 3 minutes of our seating. She was very pleasant and spoke loudly enough for our group of 8 to hear. Service was timely and the food was fresh and delicious. I'm usually not a big fan of corporate restaurants but Texas Roadhouse Lecanto is definitely an exception to the rule. read more

Jimmy (our server) was awesome. Our whole experience was amazing. Had the onion appetizer the pork chops and chicken fried chicken were super juicy and flavorful. The entire staff was attentive as well. We will definitely be back!! read more

We waited 35 minutes then were called for our table. We were then told to wait outside the kitchen. After 10 minutes I went back to the desk and asked what was happening. I was told the wait staff were having a meeting. This was at 5.45 pm on a very busy Saturday night. Eventually we were taken to our table. Salads and rolls were good then our entres arrived. 3 of the 4 of us did not get our baked potatoes but were told "they would be right out". A manager asked how was everything and we told her. Still no potatos. Then a different manager came over and eventually the potatos arrived, two were fine but the third was undercooked. We declined the offer of another potato as we had finished our meals by then. I would say our waitress, Jessica, was very friendly and efficient and most of the food was good. There needs to be some changes in the running of the restaurant, especially having staff meetings during busy times. read more

Definitely my most bizarre restaurant experience ever and I once dined at a chicken rotisserie restaurant in Acapulco where the whole chickens were basted from an old paint can with paint on the can and the brush. On 11/2/24 - 4 of use went in for dinner and around 6pm got notice our table was ready. We were directed to wait over by a saddle just in front of the meat cooler. We stared at the hand cut steaks while we waited to be seated. And we waited. We waited some more - kind of like herded cattle. 5 minutes. 7 minutes. Maybe 10 minutes? Time doesn't fly when you're staring at raw meat. So it turns out that at Texas Roadhouse they gather all the serving staff together for a little pep talk / rally / meeting. Ok. Nice idea. I get you are trying to keep your staff motivated to provide excellent service. But at the peak of the dinner hour? You completely shut down all the traffic in the restaurant and leave 10-15 dinners under warming lamps (we could see the row of waiting dinners from our herding corral) that should instead be on their way to tables and you call other diners in to be seated that won't / can't be seated because the team members that escort diners to their tables are busy with the pep rally? All of a sudden the team cheer was over and a young man with our seating assignment taped to his chest came looking for us. I've dealt with a lot of bombastic, poorly thought out management ideas - but even with no restaurant experience I know this pep talk stupidity at peak dinner time has got to be one of the dumbest things ever. So even before we sat down - all 4 of us were a little cranky. I can't imagine the people who eventually got their lukewarm dinners were happy either. After our cattle call wait, our experience went further downhill. Texas Roadhouse ran out of white baked potatoes. I got my sweet potato - it was far from fluffy. Entrees showed up first. 5-10 minutes later 3 baked potatoes appeared. Hard, undercooked inedible ones. Now this is still peak dinner hour. We're not at 10pm where pickings might be slim and you might be running out of baked potatoes. In a national chain with hundreds of locations I would expect the process for baking and holding potatoes to get you through the dinner hour would be clearly defined and easily replicated night after night. Here's the the good about this Texas Roadhouse - apparently our friend's mango margarita was excellent. My wife and I had side salads and they were nicely prepared. Our server - Jessica was great despite our poor (but justified) attitudes. The bad - aside from what I've described above - my wife's salmon portion was small. Neither of the other 2 meals were memorable. My $31.99 bone in ribeye was 1/4" thick. I kid you not. Nothing like the picture. Never seen a steak this thin except a skirt steak you pound to death with a mallet and they don't go for $32. The best meat was close to the bone and because it was thicker and close to the bone it was rare. Not medium rare - but rare. I ordered a medium well steak - the 1/4" thick portion (majority) was well done. Can't blame the grill master - who could achieve a pink center on a 1/4" thick steak? I didn't bother to send it back. Really just wanted to be done with the meal and go home. The bill was $121ish with tax less the $40ish deduction offered by one of the 2 managers that visited us. 2 stars instead of 1 because of Jessica . We left her 20% . She shouldn't be penalized for working in a clown barn. read more

Newly opened and a welcome restaurant to the Lecanto area! Our server was Duane and he was fantastic! Very personable, very timely and attentive even during a very busy dinner rush! This place had the absolute worst food I've had in a very long time. I had to spit at least half of the steak out of my mouth because it was nothing but fat and grizzle. If your a large part more than 6 don't plan on sitting together. Family of 11 people which 4 were children. It was 2pm on a Saturday and we were told we could not sit together. We agreed to two booths across from one another. We should have left was not able to communicate with each other not a great family dinner. Had a few issues with the food also. Servers were good and tried to do their best to help us because most issues beyond their control. Most shocking was a manager never approached us about having to split us up. I will say this Longhorn same price and food as good.I bet you can guess who will get my business next time. I have watched steakhouses come and go over the years and if this company keeps the attitude it has about large parties it will only be a matter of time before they are gone. word of mouth can make you or break you. read more

Recently we went to this newly opened Texas Roadhouse as it's always been one of our favorite chain restaurants. This one certainly disappoint in any way. The atmosphere was very upbeat, energetic, and fun. From the time we entered the establishment until the time we left, we were treated wonderfully and had a great time the entire time we were there. Our server, Kylla, was fantastic in every way. She was incredibly personable, pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable, regarding the entire menu. She prided herself on keeping our glasses full which was greatly appreciated since that's often not the case elsewhere when dining out. We also met with the Manager, David, who was extremely friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure that his patrons have a very pleasurable dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff works tirelessly, nonstop to make sure the restaurant is immaculately clean which is really good to see. This restaurant is now our favorite and we highly recommend it if you're looking for a great meal and a fun dining experience. 5 stars all the way and we really look forward to returning there soon for our next visit. read more
