    Rattlesnake Bites!
    Cheryl P.

Our first time eating at the new Lecanto location. Very nice outside ambiance to welcome you into the restaurant. Inside is gorgeous with large wooden beams on a vaulted ceiling with the ever present huge moose head above the entrance way. We called ahead because we had a party of six. Their tables usual seat only four but they have extensions to add to the table to enlarge it. I was hesitant at first thinking the extension would be wobbly but in fact it attached to the table well and was extremely sturdy. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Diana who asked for our drinks order and appetizer. She interacted well with our young grandchildren who are shy and have difficulty in giving their order. Diana wisely made sure they had plastic cups with lids for their drinks which saved us from having embarrassing spills. Our appetizer that we ordered were their Rattlesnake Bites. They're fried round breaded balls made of Jack Cheese and chopped Jalapenos. Served with a Cajun Sauce for dipping. We were served a nice sized portion for sharing around our table in a paper lined basket. They were good but not as tasty as their Pickle Chips. They're still number one in my opinion. My entree was the 14 ounce Fort Worth Ribeye and I asked for it Medium Rare with fried onions on top. My steak was cooked perfectly and tender as can be. Fried onions enhanced my steak. Excellent flavor profile - just seasoned right. My two sides were a House salad and their Seasoned Rice. The house salad was portioned well. Made with fresh, crisp lettuce blend, cherry tomatoes, diced eggs, shredded cheddar cheese and crunchy croutons. I ordered it with an Italian vinaigrette which I loved. My seasoned rice was very good also. Firm rice cooked with a delicious seasoning mix and sprinkled with fried onion bits that made me happy that I ordered it instead of potatoes! We had a fantastic time celebrating my granddaughter's birthday with great food, great service and a special birthday song with a free dessert for the birthday girl. The rest of us skipped dessert because we were full and took home doggy bags and to go cups! We are so happy we finally have a Texas Roadhouse in our county now and we will definitely be repeat customers!

It's a charming old Florida house converted into separate dining rooms/areas. Our server was the bartender/server for our table so we kept our orders basic. Dirty Martini, House Cab and House Chardonnay and a cranberry and Vodka. Loved the interesting dates wrapped in bacon app. Hubby ordered the twin tails. They were healthy tails I must say and I had the Delmonico. Food was all terrific. Will go again for sure.

It's in a bit of disrepair, peeling paint dry rotted window sashes, in managed landscaping, Etc. We were greeted quickly and shown out table. The server was very nice and professional. I started w/ a glass of sangria (Which was excellent!). I'd highly suggest trying the sangria! I also Ordered a bottle Pere' water. We were given a bread, which was ok...I asked for some oil & balsamic, or a pesto...it appeared I was an alien by the servers reaction "we got olive oil and butter". So I stepped that. We ordered our starters and knew our mains, the server said she delay putting in the ticket until we were close to finishing our apps, she did a great job, it was seamless! Apps were scalloped scallops and figs wrapped in bacon, then smoked or grilled. The figs were delicious, the scallops needed seasoning and was ok. Ok Ceaser, could have used a better dressing, more authentic style would be nice...but it was pretty bland, but good ingredients. I ordered the pork shop w/ gravy (ask for the gravy, You want the gravy). My wife wanted prime rib, but that was off the menu tonight. Instead a NY strip prepared basics the same... She wasn't impressed. I thought it was OK, I think she had her heart set on the prime rib. Upon finishing, the server came, cleared the table and offered a check and no mention of deserts This is an honest review, not 5* but a good meal!

Sometimes everyone's just off for no reason. So to be fair. I usually go three times before I make a review. But i'm compelled to make this review for the first time I was astounded. The building nearby is currently under construction, but surely the location would be much more welcoming once the construction is complete. We ordered the smoked fish dip to share, and I had the fish and chips. The smoked fish dip came with round crackers. I liked that it had a hint of smoky flavor without being overpowering. I'm always a fan of fish and chips, and the portion was generous! The only downside was that the fries were placed under the fish, so by the time I got to them they were a bit greasy and soggy. The view is truly a great selling point -- we spotted birds, fish, and what we believe were dolphins!

We ordered, fried gator tail, my husband had a tuna poke bowl and I had the grouper bites with an order of french fries. Everything was very good. Service was quick friendly and from our table we saw the beautiful Kings Bay and it was so pretty.. we didn't realize we could sit at the tiki bar, which was right down the path and sit closer to the water, but we'll have to come back to this place and try that out. It's all the same food both places. Everything we ordered you had a choice of fried, blackened, or grilled Our server came back three times to see if everything was good was very attentive and everybody there seemed to work like a team, which makes it nice. .Our total bill came to $69. If we would've used cash, we would've saved three dollars. They also have a gift shop with a bunch of different shirts and Stuffed manatees. You also can book to take a cruise right there out on the bay or to go swimming with the manatees. There is also an attached hotel in boat docks. We will definitely be back there!!!
