    Fried pickles
    Todd P.

The fried pickles are always great appetizer. This visit was a little different because our server was barely present. No worries because there were plenty of other staff members eager to make our visit a great one. The crowd was light despite it being a Friday night. Overall, it was largely what we are accustomed to at any Texas Roadhouse.

    1/2 a rack of ribs w/green beans
    Sara M.

Service was great! Sat immediately. We started with side salads (house for hubby, Caesar for me) and both were fresh and large. Really enjoyed the light & crispy croutons. We ordered ribs, half for myself and whole rack for the hubs. Both cane with two sides. Baked potato & (real) green beans w/onions & bacon were very tasty! The rolls & butter are also very tasty too!

Ribeye* 12oz & Grilled Shrimp with fully loaded Baked Potato

Went in on a Sat around 6pm and it was busy but the wait was not long. I got the ribeye and grilled shrimp with a fully loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious. We also tried the fried pickles and they were crispy not soggy, their Cajun sauce pairs very well with the pickles. Definitely recommend.

The keto friendly menu was awesome, had the keto omelette and 2 chaffles (cheese and egg waffles) on the side. It was served with half a fresh avocado. Everything tasted very fresh, the server was cheerful and happy to help with our substitutions and changes, no problems! Portion sizes were generous, plenty to eat without being way too much or not nearly enough. All in all a great breakfast, chill and tasty!

About half the tables were full. The cashier greeted us cheerfully and offered help from the menu. From start to finish, he has friendly and attentive. The menu is large, and includes everything from reasonably priced (sub $10) sandwiches and wraps, to salads, burgers, fried sides, desserts, and even keto offerings! We ordered a Cobb salad and a Patty Melt and pickle fries. The pickle fries were the most lackluster. Nothing obviously bad that I can point out, they just weren't very good. My salad was very standard. Again, nothing wrong, just nothing I couldn't make at home out of a bag. My friend did really enjoy her patty melt and curly fries. Also, points for having both Pepsi and Coke options in the fountain! Another note, you won't buss your own table. Leave your food there.

It was good but the meat with a little thick for a cheesesteak. It was still good don't get me wrong. I'd like to say I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to cheesesteaks. This is their version and that's my take. Still good! The service was good. Kudos to the server for not letting my glass of wine water go empty. Anyone who goes out to eat with me knows I get a powerful thirst. I think her name was Dana. She was a great server. The place had just opened when our group arrived so it was quiet.

And waited. Our entrees finally showed up sometime after 9:00, at which point I made the apparently daring request for a beer to drink with my steak. Our waitress told me she'd have to check because they were closed now and she wasn't sure they could still pour one. She eventually returned with the beer, along with a small speech about how it was, in fact, after closing time. I didn't care about the beer. Pour it or don't. What I cared about was the strange suggestion that somehow we had overstayed our welcome when the restaurant had seated us at 8:05 and then taken more than an hour to put dinner on the table. There's a simple solution here. If you want the dining room wrapped up by 9:00, stop seating people earlier. Don't invite customers in, take their order, make them wait past closing for their food, and then act surprised that they're still sitting there. It was just deeply, thoroughly underwhelming. Owners, do better. Also, thank you for the uncooked veggies.

When I am not with her, I have eaten the Yucatán, Hawaiian, Kimchi Burger and the Iconic. All very solid choices. The Morty's burrito is surprisingly good and a great choice for breakfast. One of our favorite things is the shakes and in particular, the German Chocolate Shake. An often over looked thing in Utah is the French fires. You guys don't understand how good you have it and we call them Utah fries. Absolutely delicious with a perfect crispy and texture with amazing flavor. I do prefer the ranch over fry sauce but either way is great. Thanks Morty's!

I ordered a Patty Melt and fries. 10/10, great caramelized onions and good spicy Russian dressing. Fries are good, not the best but certainly not the worst! (We did carry out, so I imagine they'd be better fresh!) My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Burger, and he gave a 7/10. Well seasoned and good meaty cheese, but the peppers and onions weren't grilled quite enough. The chicken nuggets are not good, taste like frozen nuggets you'd make at home. A stark contrast to the great burgers. Weirdly, the soda was horrible. Like the syrup was running low. They need to change that in the machine and/or warn people. I'd be fine with changing my drink selection. The scone fries are a fun sweet to end the meal with. Less sweet than a funnel cake dough (imo) but the raspberry cheesecake dip really helped! Overall, I'll return, but be selective about what I get, and maybe I'll dine-in.

But my wife's Seared Salmon ($21) was perfectly cooked--still translucent inside--and seemed a far better value of quality for cost than my pasta. My son went for the Red Chimichurri Flank Steak ($28) that was also delicious and prepared really well. But the $4 cup of add-on Lobster Bisque tasted more like assorted shellfish trimmings-- not inedible but not amazing either. The vanilla bean vinaigrette on the Summer Berry Salad ($14) was a pleasant surprise hit with my son's partner, but her $12 add-on of Blackened Salmon for it was unmasterfully overcooked for the thinner portion cut. Overall a poorer value for $26 compared with the Seared Salmon plate (a narrower, thicker portion). Elements is probably a better meal choice for the $30-40/person base range of their menu offerings-- and will obviously push higher with alcohol service. (The $15 Empress gin and Chambord Bartender's Roulette cocktail we ordered was pretty well prepared.) Perhaps even better a destination when the elements of weather suit sitting outside near the river overlook -- would help make up for zero table bread service offered; very odd for a "near fine dining" restaurant and menu. Otherwise on a rainy autumn evening, our tight-quartered, bouncy bistro booth was adequate but not great ambiance. 3.5-4 stars
