This is a local hot spot, which doesn't say much. Food is just average, nothing really stands out. It has a country rockin' atmosphere, loud music, a fun vibe, all of which was pleasant enough. But they serve some of the worst pulled pork I've ever had. On my last visit my ribs were so overdone half the meat was black and crispy. And underseasoned to boot. My wife's burger was simple but pretty good. Steaks usually have a good sear and are cooked to specification..but I've had better. Service has improved over the years, as they've hired more workers to meet demand. Friday and Saturday nights can get pretty damn busy. Overall, it's a middle of the road chain restaurant, but besides the mediocre food, I can see how the fun vibe appeals to folks. But I'd be happier if it were a Famous Dave's. read more

Texas Roadhouse is my niece's favorite restaurant and it's always the place she decides to eat for her birthday. This was my first visit and I was fairly impressed. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. I have to commend the effort they put into creating an enjoyable experience for customers. It's not really a restaurant for a quick bite, it's a place where you go to have a genuinely good time- the delicious food is just a bonus. I ordered the chicken critters with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. The chicken was surprisingly good. But the shining star of my dish would have to be the loaded mashed potatoes. They had such incredible flavor. I almost shed a tear when I realized my bowl had been scraped clean and there were no more delicious potatoes to consume. Because it was my niece's birthday, she got to sit on the saddle with her ice cream sundae while the staff sang Happy Birthday. Which is her favorite part, of course. The online waitlist is a joke to begin. Didn't allow me to request dinner time. Call direct only to get the hostess who was unfriendly and literally cut me off the phone. I watched a family, parents and three kids not wearing mask. I followed them into restaurant and was mind blown, asked the same hostess probably why that family was seated without a mask. Was told it's not mandatory requirement. Okay, I read on their website didn't see this and did see that all staff both wear mask and gloves. I didn't see any gloves, no social distancing and seated with other diners. We ended up with a corner table. Be careful because obviously this is not acceptable. Chicken critters (small pieces of crispy chicken)with a side of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing are my favorite. I really their side salad with Italian dressing. The salad has hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, cheese, and croutons. The rattle snake bites and fried onion blossom are my favorite appetizers. The rattle snake bites are balls of cheese with diced jalapeños that have been deep fried. The onion blossom is an entire onion that's been sliced and deep fried. Great food! The steaks are fantastic and I've tried them several times - on my dads birthday and now on mine. The waitress was super friendly (Tiffany) and helped us both with our orders and on a couple issues. Two of the sides weren't great and she swapped them for us in no time! I've gone here SO many times and never had a problem worth remembering. Now that I think about it, I only remember the wonderful service and the great food. Too many servers, so either we received duplicate orders or none. Three of our four were messed up. The sirloin and ribeye steaks were great. My chopped sirloin with mushrooms and cheese was yummy. My husband's chicken fried steak was tough and mostly batter. Their dinner salads, corn, applesauce, hot rolls with honey butter, and mashed potatoes with gravy were all delicious. I visited the logan UT branch and broke my tooth on something hard in the Chile. Talked to my server and he said he talked to the manager and that the manager would be over to talk to us we waited 20 minutes or so and no one ever came to our table. It was pretty disappointing. read more

Another time at Texas Roadhouse and another time satisfied. My wife and I came with our baby on a Tuesday at about 6 and got right in. Our waiter quickly came and took our drink orders. He was friendly and attentive - he seemed to always be around when we needed something. We never had to wonder when he'd be back or have to grab another waiter. The menu has a lot of options, but not so many that you are overwhelmed. I went with the half slab of ribs and my wife got the steak. The food came out quickly and it was delicious! The rib meat seriously fell right off the bone. Easy to eat like a man (by hand) but also easy to use your fork if you're trying to keep clean. I drop them to four stars for two reasons: one, that place is packed. Not meaning busy, but because the tables are so dang close together. We were sitting within arm's length of two different parties. I would like a little bit more space. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, in that controlled, "Big Brother Is Watching You and Wants You to Have Fun" kind of way - contrived songs and dancing by the waitstaff, extra big smiles, "hey, go ahead and throw the peanut shells on the floor, just because we're wild and crazy like that!" Nonetheless, the portions are huge, the food is nice and flavorfull and fatty, and it's a relatively good deal. So, why not give yourself over to Big Brother, right? read more

Had this review been for the first time I ate there and the start of the second I would probably said the place was about average. I'd heard a lot of the buzz and my family liked going there. Attempt #1: food was mediocre at best, wait was super long and the atmosphere felt contrived. Bathrooms were dirty and too small. Meh. Attempt #2: my wife finally convinced me to give it another shot. She called ahead and was told that the wait would be 15 minutes rather than an hour plus. We show up, noisy and busy inside, tell them we are there and are asked to wait. After seeing others come and be seated we asked if we were forgotten - yep. Standing around an extra 15 minutes for calling ahead. Not a good start. We are seated and a friendly waitress comes by takes our order and offers rolls while we wait. It takes 20 minutes. No one sees us, fills our water or can be tracked down for 20 minutes. I'm getting more annoyed and am ready to leave and try for somewhere else. A friendly busser is snagged and he apologizes and gets the manager. He is very concerned and makes sure he understands why we are unhappy and makes it right. It takes an hour after we arrive to have a full glass of water and rolls. I'm not typical to make a hassle and would have simply left to not come back. Adam, one of the managers, provided fantastic service and concern that was surprising to find in a chain-type restaurant. He's the reason we stayed and gave the food another shot. At the end of the meal, my prime rib was fantastic. Some of the best chain steak-fare I've ever had. I will now be back and Adam asked that we let him know next time we are in. I went for a New York strip because my last steak (rib eye) was not that good "full of fat". I'm thinking, "I should be good to go with a new York strip, right"... WRONG!!! Nearly a quarter of the steak was fat with gristle in the middle. Are you kidding me! The steak was horrible. Although the seasoning was delicious. I didn't go to get an expensive steak to have tons of fat and gristle. So disappointing as this is my third time. Three strikes and your out. I'll never go back to this place for steak. I don't mind paying a higher price for quality food. In fact many of my friends tell me I should be a food critic and I tend to agree with them! :-) read more

When I gave this place a 1 star rating, we'd had a few bad experiences. After eating here a few more times, I feel this is a more accurate rating. If I want a really good steak I'll make the drive to Maddox or I'll cook it myself. If I want to go to a chain restaurant and have a pretty good overpriced meal, Texas Roadhouse is not a bad option. Gift cards and their peanuts keep us coming back. I still think it's weird when they seat you they always ask if you're celebrating some special occasion. How about, "thanks for dropping in I hope you enjoy your meal. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable". I have never had such an incompetent meal in my life. There were so many this wrong it's laughable. My wife and I got salads and neither of the salad dressing cups had lids on them. So there was ranch all over everything, especially because they put them in sideways. My son has a milk allergy so ranch all over everything does not work for us! The kids meal came with maybe half of the styrofoam cup filled with cut up, we've ordered this before and had a full cups worth of steak. It also includes a kids drink which we did not recieve.
