Love going there to see our fav bartender Mac. He's very entertaining and makes a great Margarita. The steaks are the best priced in area. Love their salads and chili. They have great appetizers too. The only complaint I'd give is on takeout orders and that's why I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5. The last 3 times we've ordered takeout we've received day old reheated baked potatoes. They're brown inside, with shriveled up skins and dry. You also have to request their famous delicious rolls or you won't get them. read more

Called in some carry out from here last night ( Saturday) and OMG. I've always had a great experience service and food wise dining in here but this was my first time ordering to-go. I called it in because I couldn't make some substitutions I needed on the online app but the girl who took my order, I think she said her name was November, she did a excellent job. She was friendly, she got all my special requests correct and she made sure she read my order back to me as well. When I picked up my order everything was ready for me and the girl at the to-go window was super friendly and got my order for me so quickly. When I got home I was definitely impressed. All my errky special requests were correct. The way they gave me the extras I asked for and weren't stingy with portions at all. Which is important because this is literally the only restaurant that I know of that has great service, great food, AND great portions. I can believe I got 2 big ass meals with salads and rolls and only spent 27$!!!! I had to come leave a review. Ordered a medium well 16oz steak and when it got to the table it was still mooing because it was so raw. Another steak we order was medium and we got well done. We didn't get our two sides of Mac and Cheese until we finished eating and the waiter actually only brought us one and not 2. The corn tasted like canned corn and the Mac and cheese looks like Kraft Mac and cheese from a box. Our bill was $60+ for 2 people which we paid online like how it said on the receipt, but for some reason the waitresse chased us to the car and said "the money..." she went back to check if we had paid the bill online and then never came back to confirm with us that it was paid. Totally frustrated. I've ben here more than 7 occasions. The intention was to celebrate my birthday . Came early and waited too much for server. Three different people came to take our order and it took a long time to bring the food to our table . Order was not accurate as well as the bill. Service slow . Although we do not complain at all of the food, the experience was subpar. This was our first visit to any Texas Roadhouse. We were greeted by a friendly and informative host. The smell of the fresh baked rolls along with the decor immediately set the comforting atmosphere. As a side note, the hostess informed our server, Chelsea, that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the time we were seated until the time we departed our experience was fresh, welcoming, and punctual. Our courses of food were served in a timely manner. Chelsea sure made this a special time for us. Another "regular" couple even wished us a Happy Anniversary. We can't say enough good about how Chelsea and her coworkers provided great food and service. Our appetizers, steaks, ribs and sides were spot on. Everything was cooked and seasoned sufficiently. Texas Roadhouse's claim of fresh cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs and fresh made side are real and not hype. I am undoubtedly a huge Texas Roadhouse fan. I have been to several all over the country as I travel and have NEVER been disappointed. Not one single meal that makes me say "this was not as good as usual." I absolutely love the food quality and the value for price. They prepare just about everything how I would at home and the service is pretty certainly top quality. Had dinner here the other night and was seated in the bar area. Had the country friend steak and it was as perfect as always. Tried the combo appetizer too and it was a great value to try all the items together. Service today was unusually about a 6/10 as our waitress, while extremely pleasant, I think was a little on the anxious side. She asked twice if we were ready to order while I was still reading the menu. When I close it, that should be a direct indication I have made my selection. Also I told her I wanted the combo appetizer with my meal, and I don't think it was her fault but another employee brought it to the table when I was nearing the end of my salad. The entrees also came shortly after and my Dad wasn't done with his salad. All of this was by no means a huge problem or ruined the meal, but I hold their standard so high that these mishaps go noticed since they are so out of the norm for them. read more

This is my one and only steakhouse restaurant. It is clear that is not a high end but it is good, for me it is. From the rolls and the honey butter to the salad compliment of the steak (if you order steak). My go to is the Ft. Worth Ribeye (10 or 12oz.) cooked medium well with sauteed onion and mushrooms a side of salad no croutons and fresh veggies. Yumm. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to go on a date night to Texas Roadhouse. It is Valentine's Day weekend so we knew they were going to be busy. We called and they said their estimated wait time was 55 minutes to an hour (understandable). We put our names on the call ahead list by using the texted link and got there 10 minutes prior to our estimated seating time. As soon as we got there we texted "here" and got a text telling us to wait in the car until we got an additional text telling us to come in and be seated. After 15 minutes of waiting my boyfriend went in and they told us it would be 10-15 more minutes (a total of 30 minutes after our estimated time). Overall, here we are 1 hour after arriving and 2 hours after putting our name down and we're never seated. Very poorly done. Being a restaurant server I understand the business but that is just ridiculous. read more

My family and I are HUGE fans of Texas Road House BUT our recent visit to this location ruined it for us!!! Couldn't be more disappointed with the service. After waiting for 15 minutes to be seated as soon as the restaurant opened at 4pm. (They were "waiting for their servers to arrive". ) Our server was NOT welcoming at all!!! She was rude!!!! When we asked for more water she yelled "I know I see it" across the room. She never asked us how our meal was, or asked us if we needed anything!! Every time we asked for something it was through someone else. Mind you this place was not busy because it JUST opened.The food would've been better if the service was better. If you're craving a juicy steak in the Pasadena area, look no further! Everything is pretty tasty, but I go especially crazy for their famous rolls with cinnamon butter (to die for)! Good food at a cheap price or a health hazard? My wife and I hadn't eaten there in a number of years and went about a month ago after a hard day working outside. The waitress was wonderful and so were the margaritas although we were so dehydrated from being outside that we drank so much water that the waitress just brought over a pitcher. The food was very good and hit the spot. I had the ribs. The only complaint was that both bathrooms smelled of stale urine and we informed the waitress. I worry that if the bathroom isn't clean, what is the kitchen like. Last night we went again. The food was good and reasonably priced. However, my wife said the women's bathroom still smelled and the men's was better but not great. As I came out of the bathroom I realized the floor was somewhat slippery and couldn't figure out why at first. I looked around and realized the reason. The entrance to the bathroom is right in front of the large opening to the kitchen. You could see a sheen/layer of grease on the floor of the kitchen. You could see it extended out to in front of the bathrooms and you could plainly see foot prints in it, it was that bad. I am amazed no employee or patron has slipped and injured themselves. (Who knows, maybe they have.) We have decided that although the food is good and reasonably priced and the location is convenient, until they improve their sanitation practices we are not going back. read more

I had never been here before so when I got here I unknowingly walked into a restaurant that has pails of peanuts on every table and peanut shells all over the floor and peanut dust everywhere. We enjoyed shrimp, prime rib, sweet potatoes, fries and vegetables. It was all served at the correct temps, came with rolls and all the shelled roasted peanuts one can eat. The restaurant has a dated outside appearance. Inside the decor is standard for a Texas Roadhouse though this one has a nice warm worn floor. There is a large parking lot that could use refurbishing. The service is good. I prefer the NY Strip over the prime rib at this chain. If you request horseradish they'll mix some for you. We'll return. read more

First time here to this place. My wife and niece have been to the location in Richmond Va and were very happy with the restaurant. All I can say is I am a fan too. From the how fresh rolls to the cheap bear to the delicious food and good prices Hey I am all in on this place. The great: My sirloin was cooked perfect and was so tender. Side of veggies are fresh and not soggy. The sweet potato was huge. My meal was enough for two meals. The good: the bread and peanuts are always a hit but will kill you with so many calories. My husband enjoyed his burger. The bad: our server was rough around the edges and never around. Yum! Yum! Yum! I never knew this gem was hidden away in Pasadena, but thank goodness I have friends in the know! TRH has great rolls, which is probably pretty obvious based on all the photos people have posted. They are buttery, puffy balls of goodness, but what pushes them over the edge is the amazing cinnamon butter you can smother over them! I ordered Portabella Chicken, and the two people I was with both got Country Fried Sirloin with white gravy. We were all EXTREMELY happy with our food. The fries were ok.. they were steak cut, so nice and big, but they didn't have much seasoning, which I am a fan of. As far as the service, there was much to be desired, but not enough to make me not want to return. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, even though we had called ahead for a reservation. The place was packed though, so I guess it was a lot less time then the rest of the crowd. The parking is not great - we had to park pretty far away, up on a hill. I LOVE this place! Almost every time I go we have a fantastic server. Granted, I'm easy to please, but I'm always happy with my food. The cost isn't bad at all, this is my favorite dinner spot when I'm going for average cost. I feel what I spend is well worth the food. Now I'm not typically one to review chain restaurants because they're for the most part predictable, not particularly unique from one another, and people tend to eat at them regardless of what some snobby and particular foodie like me thinks. That being said, Texas Roadhouse has always been one of my favorite chains. Here's the breakdown: Famous rolls and cinnamon butter - no brainer, always awesome Apps - fried pickles, jalapeno poppers: in my opinion, some of the best batter in the biz Ribs - tender and flavorful Steak - cooked perfectly and juicy Country fried chicken - texturally perfect, nice and peppery, great white country gravy Sides - green beans, buttered corn, sweet potato, seasoned rice: all delicious The only complaint I have is that they do tend to oversalt their food. I get the sense that a lot of their sauces use chicken or beef stock, which is great and should be enough to provide good flavor and saltiness. But they seem to go beyond that and add more salt which ends up taking away from the food. In the end, some of the best gratis bread n butter, properly cooked bbq, deep fried foods, and sides you can get at a chain or anywhere. And at extremely affordable prices. read more

I lived in Pasadena as a kid, and now live elsewhere in MD. When I come home to visit my parents, we always go to here, just like we always have since they opened. We've been coming here since the place opened in 1997 (or around then), so I can safely say I've eaten here over 100 times, as we probably have gone here AT LEAST once every other month. I feel as though over the past few years they've started going downhill. They're almost always really good at getting appetizers out in less than 10 minutes. They've forgotten sides on multiple occasions recently (not a super big deal). We've had small groups (3-4 people) and we've had extremely long wait times for our food (45+, longest was an hour 15). This past time, I got a ribeye, and know that I've gotten the same style ribeye almost every time if been to this place for at least a few years now, and recently it was the fattest piece of meat I've ever had. And of course the manager, or whoever walked around wants to say "well, because our ribeyes are hand cut" blah blah. I know it's a fatty piece of meat, that's why it tastes great. But when I'm spending $20+ on a steak, I'd rather not have 1/4 of my steak be fat. I explained my dissatisfaction, but she didn't offer anything to fix it. My parents steaks were both undercooked (they asked for medium) and they both got medium rare; they asked for it to go back just to spend another minute on the grill; it came back around 8 minutes later, WELL DONE. This has happened multiple times now. The above two paragraphs are of course isolated incidences, as I've said, in over a hundred dinners at this place, but it's still very disappointing to have these take place at a place you frequent so often. This place has just gotten a bit disappointing over the years. And they seem to be occurring more and more recently. read more

Sunday afternoon August 2014 Nancy and myself stopped in at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant on Mountain Road in Pasadena MD. About 4 pm they were Just Starting to Line up...... However, being a Veteran Disabled they us right in ( we sat in the bar area ) Paul our waiter was Great ...... Hooked us up with un-shelled peanuts and beverages...... After grazing on beer and nuts Paul brought our Appies; mine being rattlesnake bites and Nancy with wings. I can still taste the bread, so good. Texas Roadhouse is a great place to eat, the steaks are above average and always cooked the way I want. Love eating the peanuts but I have to remember to not eat too many so i can eat dinner. The service is always great, very attention to detail waitstaff. My drink never is empty and that's a good thing, especially after eating a ton of peanuts before my dinner arrives. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a random Friday. Boy was this place PACKED!! And for good reason!! Our wait was about 30 minutes or so but it was so worth it. Once our booth was ready, we were seated and promptly greeted by our waiter who was very knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to give suggestions. I ended up getting the Country Fried Steak. It comes with 2 side sides so I picked the baked sweet potato and the buttered corn. I was a little hesitant at first about ordering this what with me being what my boyfriend deems a 'fancy city girl'. The dish sounds artery-clogging...and IT WAS!!... but it was just too good to pass up. I licked that plate clean! My boyfriend got one of the steaks. He was very pleased with it. I didn't have too much of his because I was so wrapped up with mine. And did I mention the fresh-out-of-the-oven dinner rolls and butter are TO-DIE-FOR?? I just about passed out from a food coma. The food is great, and the specialty drinks are even better. What's cool is you get to select the steak you want to eat and they will prepare it the way you want. We ordered the drive up using the mobile app and got a 6:00pm pickup time. When we got there the line was 24 cars deep. By the time they got to us it was 6:20 and our food wasn't ready yet. We had to park and they. They brought it out at 6:40pm. A very short ride home and it was all cold. It had to have been cold when they brought it out. The steak was small and over cooked.
